Chapter 1 ◆ World War II Silver Eagle

My wings, like a cage or cocoon, stretched out to the fullest extent, protecting everyone from head to toe as they moved slowly, avoiding harm. Sweet Orange carried the cat forward, but as soon as they moved from their original position, the large steel cage that Hasegawa had carefully welded behind them was riddled with bullets fired by Garuda.

Sweet Orange screamed, "Don't go in! You'll definitely die inside! It can penetrate you!"

Hasegawa exclaimed, "These bullets are too strong! How could this happen?"

Sweet Orange exclaimed, "It's all your good idea!"

I noticed that there were many weapons placed nearby and shouted, "Let's go around to the back. We don't need to go in. I can block its bullets. You guys use heavy weapons to shoot at it and see how it works."

I protected them as they slowly went around to the back, picking up the weapons on the ground. Hasegawa took a machine gun and carried a four-barrel rocket launcher. Jenny picked up an assault rifle with a gun and ammunition attached. Although Sweet Orange wasn't as strong as Jenny, she grabbed a general-purpose machine gun and hung a sniper rifle around the cat's neck.

The little black cat said dejectedly, "I don't think I'm needed for this!"

Despite the hail of bullets all around and the large steel cage beside me having taken at least a hundred hits, I remained impenetrable, ensuring everyone's safety. A single bullet leaking through would be fatal.

I was truly a perfect sitting duck. Garuda was even more frustrated; no matter how high up it was, or how it fired horizontally, no matter how it changed direction, it couldn't get through—my wings completely enveloped everyone.

Garuda gradually approached, though at a safe distance, less than a kilometer away. Everyone extended their weapons through the gaps under my armpits, aiming at Garuda outside. The little black cat was no exception, lying on the sniper rifle, letting Sweet Orange hold it for her while she fired, but it wasn't very effective. Sweet Orange's strength increased under this tense situation, perhaps because she had drunk my blood.

Hasegawa told everyone to wait for his command before firing together. He was the authority in gunfights, and everyone obeyed his orders.

Garuda's aerial fire was ineffective, and it slowly descended, probably thinking I was protecting my companions and unable to retaliate. So it relentlessly closed in, only a few hundred meters away. The bullets' force gradually increased, but I could endure it.

Once it entered firing range, Hasegawa gave the order, and everyone opened fire. Although the two women rarely handled guns, they seemed to have a natural talent for them; I was puzzled. Had they secretly learned how to use them?

Our firepower was extremely fierce, with two machine guns and an assault rifle firing simultaneously, creating several lines of fire in front. Even Little Black Cat fired a couple of shots with her sniper rifle, but despite the intense firepower, it posed little threat.

Everyone's aim was terrible. Except for Hasegawa, the two women missed, knocking down a bunch of steel plate obstacles around them, but they couldn't even touch the eagle's feathers. Little Black Cat was even better than them, with a scope, hitting almost everything, but to no avail. Only Hasegawa's machine gun bullets whipped wildly at Garuda, but they were like scratching an itch, causing no damage. It didn't flinch and continued to approach.

Hasegawa sneered, "Closer, and I'll give you something big." As he fired, he slung a four-barreled rocket launcher over his shoulder, deliberately luring the enemy closer—a cunning move.

When Garuda was six or seven hundred meters away, Hasegawa dropped his machine gun and fired a rocket. Like a streak of fire, it ignited with lightning speed, striking Garuda's body with a deafening bang. Garuda was blasted more than a hundred meters into the air, then with a whoosh, it suddenly soared into the sky. She wasn't shattered; she was indeed sturdy.

The crowd cheered and opened fire wildly, but all their shots missed. Hasegawa secretly regretted it and fired three more rockets, while Jenny fired several bullets, but Garuda, knowing the danger, dodged perfectly in mid-air, giving Hasegawa no further opportunities.

Hasegawa angrily exclaimed, "The shells could threaten her, but unfortunately she dodged too quickly, only getting hit once."

The little black cat said, "That's good enough. Don't even think about scattering it with low-level weapons."

Getting hit once was already lucky. Garuda was too careless, not dodging the first rocket, thinking it could block it, or even devour it. If it had tried its best to dodge, it wouldn't have been hit.

But the rocket only knocked it into the air without causing any actual damage, showing how strong its body was. It learned its lesson and didn't dare to come down easily in the air, probably afraid of being ambushed again.

. I breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Although it can devour bullets, it can't devour large rockets."

The little black cat said, "It hasn't replenished its energy, so it can't devour them, but if it does, it can still devour them."

We were secretly alarmed and continued to defend against Garuda's aerial attacks. Although we counterattacked with guns and cannons, it kept its distance, and the effect was not obvious. Apart from destroying part of the base, it had no real effect and we had to stop attacking.

Garuda was even more frustrated. Although it attacked with all its might, it felt like a tiger trying to eat the sky—it couldn't find a way in. I was holding the line against all odds, and it was wasting countless bullets on me without being able to create an opening. It was probably pondering a strategy in the air, only maintaining a normal offensive.

I said helplessly, "Let's just wait it out. When its energy runs out, it will retreat on its own."

Everyone was speechless. This was too humiliating. It would replenish its energy every now and then and then vent its frustration. Who could stand it?

Garuda shouted from the air, "Youming, if you don't leave, you're on your own. I'm going to use bombs, I can't take care of you."

We were shocked. If she used the Silver Wing Bomb, we couldn't just stand there and get bombed. It didn't want to hurt Youming, but after a long and fruitless attack, it finally became desperate. Yanni immediately transformed into a bat to relieve the pressure on me.

The little black cat shouted, "You dare! Run!"

Before it finished speaking, two silver feathers on its eagle wings stood up, and it shot towards us like lightning. In an instant, I scooped up Sweet Orange and Hasegawa with my arms, while Bat used its tiny forepaws to lift the little black cat from Sweet Orange's arms, leaping into the air and soaring upwards. Sweet Orange understood Jenny's meaning; self-preservation was paramount, so she gave her the cat.

Jenny knew I couldn't lift all three, but she could fly to protect herself, so she simply grabbed Youming to ease the burden on me; I only needed to protect Hasegawa and Sweet Orange. I understood her thoughts, and with the two of them, I leaped up instantly, sweeping horizontally for over ten meters in the blink of an eye.

While we were still in the air, two silver feathers shot down, and with a deafening roar, the ground exploded, sending debris flying, flames erupting, and a powerful shockwave followed, accompanied by rocks slamming into my back and wings. I used the momentum to propel myself forward, flying another ten meters with the shockwave.

With my powerful protection, Hasegawa and Sweet Orange in my arms were safe; the flying debris and the explosive shockwave from my wings couldn't harm them. Without me, even if they weren't killed, the shockwave would have been enough to rupture their internal organs.

The Silverwing bomb was incredibly powerful, far surpassing ordinary bombs, and even more powerful than the last one. The meticulously welded steel cage was blasted dozens of meters away, tumbling several times before finally coming to a stop. The steel plates,

riddled with holes, twisted and crumbled, demonstrating the immense force it could withstand. The Hummer was blasted into the air, tumbling several times before crashing to the ground. It wasn't badly damaged externally and hadn't exploded, undoubtedly due to the double blood barrier effectively protecting the vehicle. Other steel plate obstacles were swept away by the shockwave, leaving the scene in ruins.

Jenny, holding the little black cat, flew into the air, instantly gaining altitude so the explosion wouldn't harm them.

Fortunately, Garuda warned us beforehand; otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to dodge in time. The Netherworld is our talisman, though not very effective, but Garuda didn't actively attack the aerial bats, probably hesitant to harm the Netherworld. Jenny was safer with the Netherworld.

I put the two down behind me, and seeing that she didn't continue attacking, I breathed a sigh of relief.

Jenny called out from the air, "Master, protect them! Don't worry about me, I'm fine."

Sweet Orange was envious and complained behind me that she couldn't fly, otherwise she would never have given this good opportunity to the little bat.

I patted her with a smile and said, "Follow me, you won't be in danger. I can't do anything to her, but she won't hurt you."

Sweet Orange smiled and said, "I believe in Big Brother."

Garuda paused its attack and hovered in the air. It probably had no good strategy. It was very competitive. Although it wasn't tired, after shooting for a long time, it still needed to catch its breath. What followed was probably a fierce and explosive attack.

The little black cat was being carried by Yanni and flew in the air, howling and yelping. It dared not struggle, lest it fall and be smashed. This was no joke.

It angrily cursed in the air, "Damn Garuda, you dare to bomb me! I'll destroy you later!"

It couldn't withstand the bombing. It was so frightened that its four paws went numb and it trembled speechlessly. Now it had recovered.

Garuda shouted, "This is a little lesson for you. Don't throw yourself into someone's arms for food in the future, or you'll die."

I couldn't help but laugh. Hasegawa and Sweet Orange behind me also couldn't help but laugh. They found it very funny.

Youming was so angry that he cursed incessantly. The two pets were having a verbal battle in the air.

Sweet Orange said, "That clumsy eagle seems to be flirting with a female cat; they've probably developed feelings for each other."

Hasegawa said, "But his methods are too cruel."

Youming, helpless and angry, ignored Garuda and grumbled, "I really want to go back to the Magic Fortress."

Jenny said, "A smart cat can't abandon its companions. Don't worry, I'll protect you; no problem."

The little black cat sighed, "I don't know who's protecting whom; it's only dangerous following you. What do your grudges have to do with me? Why did you drag me into this? I'm so pitiful."

Garuda laughed loudly, "It's too late to regret it now."

Jenny said, "We're friends; I must protect you."

The little black cat, deaf and shrugged, said, "I really shouldn't be greedy. I've gotten myself into this mess for food. It's so high up here; it's the first time I've been carried by a bat in the sky. It's so unsafe."

Jenny laughed, "It's safe for me to fly with you, unless it attacks us."

Now it was completely defenseless; if attacked, it would surely die. It gambled that Garuda wouldn't attack.

The little black cat said, "She wouldn't dare attack me, otherwise my master would come out and make her a new pet. I am the number one pet cat." She's ruthless enough; I wonder if Garuda would feel a chill down his spine if he heard that.

Garuda didn't attack them, probably not because he was threatened. He also didn't attack us, only occasionally exchanging a few words with Youming. It seems he hasn't found an effective way to attack yet.

It soared through the air and cried out, "I didn't expect you to be so tenacious, you haven't been defeated yet."

Compared to me, it seemed more like a monster. I retorted, "Who will defeat whom is still uncertain. If it weren't for protecting my companions, I would have killed you long ago."

Garuda shouted, "Who told you to have companions to hold you back!"

I roared, "If you're so capable, fight me one-on-one. If you have the guts, don't attack them."

Garuda said, "I won't give up my advantage to fight you head-on. Am I crazy? I'm going to use this to bully you."

I angrily said, "So, advanced mechanical weapons are cowards."

Garuda laughed loudly, "You think I'm a stupid cat, that I'll take the bait with a little food?"

Youming cried out in dissatisfaction, but Garuda ignored her and continued, "I am an intelligent advanced mechanical weapon, provoking you..." " The law is useless. You're not convinced? Come on up here!"

Faced with the intelligent advanced mechanical weaponry, I was helpless. I couldn't impulsively risk going up; if I couldn't keep up, my companions would be attacked, which would be terrible. I roared, "What do you want?"

Garuda said, "You're not as good as Moratis, the mechanical enemy of yesteryear. I'll help you unleash your potential. Pretty cool, huh?"

I said angrily, "Let's keep playing."

Hasegawa said, "The Hummer has a Blood Barrier outside; it wasn't damaged. Let's go inside the tank. The Blood Barrier will protect us, and Big Brother will have a chance."

I agreed, "Right, let's go. People lose their minds in desperation. How could I not have thought of that? I forgot about the tank."

I called to the bats and cats in the sky, protecting Sweet Orange and Hasegawa, and retreated towards the tank. The tank was nearby; I could see it clearly. Jenny knew my intention and grabbed Youming, flying closely behind us.

Garuda laughed loudly from the sky, "Trying to escape? Where can you escape to?"

A burst of bullets accompanied by shouts came flying down, but I blocked them all. Knowing it wouldn't work, it suddenly swooped down, its target not us, but the Hummer. In an instant, they merged, and the overturned Hummer flipped over and charged, two machine guns still sprouting from its roof and firing.

I said with a wry smile, "She's transformed again. How come she's using all our stuff?"

Hasegawa, seeing the situation clearly, said helplessly, "Hopefully she doesn't merge with the tank."

This was exactly what I was worried about, but for now, we could only go to the tank and try our luck. I blocked the bullets fired from the Hummer's roof and continued to protect the two of us as we retreated.

Garuda had initially tried to ram into us, but slowed down halfway. Having been wounded earlier, it dared not approach this time. Knowing its attacks were ineffective, it still kept firing from a distance, as if its bullets were endless and it wasn't afraid of wasting them, not knowing when it would run out of energy. Under my protection, Hasegawa found spare ammunition and replenished the four-barrel rocket launcher with four armor-piercing rounds. While retreating, he fired an armor-piercing round through the gaps in the wing guards at Garuda, who was attacking me.
Having learned her lesson from her previous experience in Silver Eagle form, she knew how to dodge, but now, possessing the Hummer, she wasn't dodging at all, showing great confidence. If she really wanted to dodge, even while possessing the vehicle, it would be easy for her to escape.

With a bang, an armor-piercing bullet struck the front of the car, but the Hummer was unharmed and not blown away.

Garuda laughed loudly, "You think this can deal with me?" Hasegawa

shouted, "The Hummer is protected by a double blood barrier, rockets can't hurt it, and it also has a liquid metal shell, which is ineffective against weapon attacks. Its weight is increased, so this kind of attack can't repel it."

Sweet Orange sighed, "What have we done? How come it's all been used against us?"

I gritted my teeth and said, "It keeps changing, like it's playing around. It's so annoying, so infuriating, and we just can't do anything about it."

Garuda continued its attack, and more than ten bullets were flying off my body every second. Although it didn't hurt me, it was very annoying.

It laughed loudly, "Let's see what else you can do. We'll keep ramming, we'll crush a few of you to death."

I swatted away the bullets in front of me like swatting mosquitoes, and sneered, "Come on, if you dare, ram me, and see how I chop you down."

Garuda was arrogant, but dared not come over. Jenny and Youming in the air were the most relaxed and temporarily safe. We fought and retreated, heading towards the tank.

Garuda suddenly circled, and the Hummer rammed into my side with its golden wings. Although it had been injured by the blue wings earlier, it probably wanted to risk testing the golden wings' functions, which was commendable. Even if it was injured, it could automatically repair itself.

I was overjoyed. This was a golden opportunity. I didn't know what functions the golden wings had besides healing and flight, but the force of its flapping wings alone was enough to knock Garuda away. I was full of confidence and immediately shouted, "Get down!"

Just as I was about to attack Garuda, Hasegawa and Sweet Orange were in trouble. The two reacted quickly, knowing that I was going to attack, and immediately lay down on the ground as soon as I shouted.

I spread my wings, and with a powerful flap of my golden wings, I blocked the bullets. At the same time, a strong gust of wind blasted at the Hummer, causing it to retreat several meters, and the bullets it fired flew off to who knows where.

Before it could react, I flapped my wings, lunged forward, and unleashed a punch powerful enough to shatter it. Protected by my wings, it didn't have time to attack the two people behind me. If I hadn't been cautious and avoided risks, I would have already torn it to shreds.

Garuda, realizing the danger, abandoned its attack and immediately turned the car around, speeding away.

It was truly confident; even without reverting to its Silver Eagle form, its speed was astonishing, far exceeding the Hummer's maximum speed. In the blink of an eye, it sped away like a streak of silver lightning, but it couldn't completely evade the punch. The rear of the car was struck by my punch.

Even with the double blood barrier and liquid metal shell protecting it, it couldn't withstand my blow. Steel shavings flew everywhere, steel plates flew off, the rear of the car was dented, and the Hummer was knocked over by my punch. She howled, rolled twice in the air, and landed perfectly, instantly leaping dozens of meters away—her escape speed was incredible.

Everyone cheered in unison, celebrating their victory.

I held back. Garuda is a friend of the Netherworld; we have no deep-seated hatred, so there's no need to kill it. I still want to learn more about the secrets of advanced civilization from it. Although it's ferocious and hateful, I don't need to be angry with the mechanical weapons; it didn't attack us with all its might.

If I could subdue them, they would be a great help to me, better than eliminating them. Once Garuda is killed, another type of mechanical weapon will definitely come after us, and the hatred will be irreconcilable, potentially causing us harm.

Considering various factors, I didn't kill it. Otherwise, with my speed and strength, even if I don't know how to kill the liquid metal eagle, one punch would surely destroy the Hummer, possibly injuring it. That's why I held back.

Garuda is protected by the Blood Barrier and won't suffer too much damage. It darted away, creating distance. I dared not chase any further and flew back in lightning speed, protecting the two of us. Even if I caught up, I didn't know what to do with this deformed liquid metal eagle. If it reverted to its Silver Eagle form and attacked my companion, it would be disastrous. When enraged, it's capable of anything.

Garuda sped a hundred meters away, keeping its distance from me. Though it glared menacingly, it seemed timid and fearful, hesitant to charge. The machine gun on the vehicle stopped firing, knowing it was ineffective; it was probably terrified by my sudden attack and speechless. After all, it was just an intelligent mechanical pet, and at that moment I found it somewhat endearing.

Hasegawa urged, "Let's go to the tank first, before it recovers."

I turned and grabbed the two who had already stood up, spreading my wings and flying towards the tank. Jenny also flew over, carrying the cat. Garuda, unwilling to give up, pounced again, but having learned from the previous two attacks, it was more cautious.

In the blink of an eye, I was on top of the tank. Hasegawa and Sweet Orange quickly entered the tank and hid. Jenny landed with the cat, then returned to her original position and carried the cat into the tank.

The little black cat complained, "We're much safer up there, why did we come down? They don't need us."

Sweet Orange pulled her over, laughing, "We're going to share the hardships, don't even think about slacking off."

The little black cat immediately became depressed, unwillingly being held by Sweet Orange.

The Garuda rushed over, perhaps out of fear of my earlier attack, it didn't immediately launch an attack, but instead sped around the tank from a distance of several dozen meters, probably figuring out how to deal with this steel behemoth, not daring to get close.

I lay prone on top of the tank, protecting the turret and ensuring the safety of the crew inside. Although there was Chobham armor and depleted uranium armor in front, as well as a double Blood Barrier, I wasn't at ease.

Hasegawa was in charge of driving the tank, while the two girls, holding a cat, hid inside, too afraid to come out.

I was responsible for the tank's auxiliary weapons: an M240 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, a similar machine gun at the loader's hatch on the turret top, and an M2 12.7mm machine gun on the commander's cupola. Using so many weapons with both hands was ridiculous; it didn't feel like a life-or-death battle, more like a game.

Hasegawa thought I was being too relaxed, so he threw me an American-made M72 anti-tank rocket launcher from inside the tank. I was both amused and exasperated. How could he give me an anti-tank rocket launcher inside a tank? But shooting Humvees would be even more fun.

He gave a brief explanation of how to use it, a last-minute cram session, but I, being quick-witted, learned the basics quickly. The two girls and the cat huddled together inside the tank, looking quite happy, while I was exhausted outside.

Hasegawa exclaimed excitedly, "Let's have some fun with it!"

I looked at the Garuda rushing around us and said helplessly, "The tank is protected by the Blood Barrier now, no need to bother, I can fly over and take care of it without any problem."

Hasegawa said confidently, "Big brother, no need to rush, let's play first, then take care of it. It's rare that we're in such a good mood today, so we have the initiative now."

The little black cat grumbled, "We don't know who's playing whom yet."

Hasegawa said, "Big brother, practice using the weapon first, don't worry about wasting it, there's a ready-made target."

I nodded and said, "Then let's play with it."

Hasegawa started the tank, and I fired several armor-piercing rounds at the Garuda with the anti-tank rocket launcher. The effect was not good; it couldn't penetrate the double Blood Barrier and the liquid metal shell, but the shots were very accurate, and I gained a lot of experience in weapon use.

Garuda, still shaken, slightly dodged, taking the hit of an armor-piercing round from its side and rear without sustaining any damage. Knowing the attack wasn't a significant threat, it stopped dodging and charged forward, barking arrogantly.

If it really wanted to dodge, I couldn't hit it. The Humvee

dared to ram a tank head-on; this thing had gone mad. There were three machine guns on top of the tank, but I could only control two with both hands. I needed to restore my grip to fire, and two bursts of fire immediately engulfed the Humvee, but they couldn't stop its advance, nor could they damage it in the slightest.

Garuda opened fire on me, but neither side was afraid of the fire, making effective fire suppression impossible.

Hasegawa drove the tank and fired its cannon, firing various 120mm standard rounds as well as armor-piercing rounds with tracer-stabilized discarding sabot depleted uranium cores, hitting every target. Explosions erupted in a cacophony, shells exploding everywhere.

Jenny served as the gunner in the tank, using a combination of a one-way independently stabilized monocular periscope main sight, a laser rangefinder, and a thermal imager—a three-in-one sight for ranging and day/night operation. Several ballistic sensors automatically transmitted various key ballistic data to Hasegawa, allowing him to search, identify, and aim at targets while moving, without needing to use a separate commander's sight.

The gun turret was electro-hydraulic driven, constantly turning and keeping its sights on the Humvee, always ready to fire.

Sweet Orange manually entered other ballistic data parameters, while the little black cat idly watched the spectacle.

There were only three of them, one short, but their first collaboration was so perfect—truly remarkable, showcasing their elite skills.

Chapter Two ◆ Tank Showdown

The tank employed a command-line digital fire control system, equipped with stabilizers. The optical main sight and the gun turret were independently stabilized, giving it the ability to fire at both fixed and moving targets while on the move.

However, if Garuda tries to dodge, it's difficult to hit her. The fin-stabilized discarding sabot depleted uranium armor-piercing rounds can't harm her; her double-layered magical protection and liquid metal shell make her fearless, neither dodging nor avoiding—truly formidable.

However, under the combined attack of thousands of bullets per minute, several armor-piercing rounds, and anti-tank armor-piercing rounds, the powerful impact, while unable to injure her, makes it difficult to advance, greatly reducing her threat. She didn't use Silverwing bombs for counter-suppression, for reasons unknown, perhaps due to insufficient energy. For a time, we had the upper hand; every time we hit her, cheers erupted from inside the tank.

The tank forced the Humvees to retreat repeatedly, circling us, their attacks becoming increasingly ineffective.

We fought for a while, enjoying the thrill, but the ammunition consumption was too high. Within minutes, we could use up the dozens of cannon shells and tens of thousands of machine gun bullets stored in the tank; we had to conserve them. But as soon as our firepower decreased slightly, Garuda would relentlessly pounce.

I couldn't help but say, "Let's stop playing around. If we keep going, this place will be destroyed. We didn't let it be destroyed by it, but we can't let it be destroyed by ourselves. I'll fly over and take care of it. You guys guard it."

Hasegawa shouted, "Go, big brother! It can't penetrate the tank, we'll be fine."

The little black cat scurried around inside the tank, hiding under Sweet Orange, muttering, "No problem? That's a joke! I don't want to die."

I spread my wings and, under the cover of artillery fire, soared into the air, lunging at the Humvee. When I was close, Hasegawa stopped firing; it would be a waste if he hit me instead of Garuda.

My blue wings flashed like blades, slashing directly at the Humvee. Garuda knew how powerful I was and, seeing my swift attack, turned and fled, but it couldn't outrun me. The rear of the vehicle was cleaved open; the Blood Barrier and the liquid metal shell couldn't stop my attack.

Hasegawa and the others inside the tank roared and cheered wildly.

I leaped into the air, about to unleash another slash, when Garuda, realizing it couldn't stop it, suddenly took flight, separating from the Hummer and soaring into the sky. Its speed was unprecedented; it had been conserving its strength, and now it was unleashing its true power. It opened fire on the tank, but I believed it could hold out for a while.

I was fast enough to catch it; I was determined to engage it in aerial combat and see who was faster. With its wings spread, I gave chase, but couldn't keep up. I didn't know what kind of propulsion it used; its speed was astonishing. It accelerated continuously in mid-air, becoming a white streak as it circled the sky. I tried my best, but it was difficult to catch it.

It kept firing. Hasegawa shouted through the loudspeaker inside the tank, "Big brother, come down and protect us! The tank is about to be blown up!"

I was startled. Could it penetrate a tank? I immediately abandoned the chase and descended rapidly to protect the tank. Garuda flapped its wings, two silver feathers rising to their heads, and with a burst of machine gun fire, it shot down like lightning.

It had been waiting for this opportunity to turn the tables and strike decisively. I was terrified; if the tank was destroyed, everyone inside would be doomed. But I couldn't catch up with Silverwing and protect the tank, so I could only do my utmost to dart down.

In the blink of an eye, two loud bangs rang out. One Silverwing bomb struck the turret, and the other hit the tracks. The powerful explosions lifted the tank to a 30-degree angle, damaging the turret and sending the entire tank slid nearly half a meter to the side.

I didn't know what was happening inside and was frantic. I instantly leaped onto the tank, protecting the turret and stabilizing it, shouting for help. The cries of two women and a cat rang out. They were quite frightened; even though they were injured, they were still alive and could cry out, so their injuries weren't serious.

Hasegawa shouted, "We're all fine, just a few bumps..."

Before he could finish, two more Silverwing bombs slammed down, one hitting the back of the tank and the other the Blue Wing. The tank jerked again, and my blood surged. The explosive force of the bombs was strong, making me feel slightly uncomfortable, but I was relieved that the Blue Wing was unharmed.

My body is tough; I'm unharmed even by such bombs.

Everyone screamed again. The little black cat cried, "I can't take a bump, hold me tight..."

Hasegawa anxiously called out, "How's Big Brother?"

The two girls' voices kept coming, worried that I had been injured by the bombs. A burst of bullets hit me in the air, much more powerfully. Garuda had gone berserk.

I shouted, "I'm fine, it can't hurt me!"

Garuda fired wildly through the air, yelling, "Now you know how powerful I am!"

I had no time to pay attention to it, desperately blocking the bullets, and shouted, "How's the damage to the tank? Can it still be driven?"

Hasegawa shouted, "The tank isn't badly damaged, it can still be driven, but the armor was almost pierced by bullets. Luckily, there's the Blood Barrier, but it won't hold for long, its energy output is increasing." It's lucky the

tracks weren't damaged, thanks to the magic protection, but if it bombs a few more times, the consequences are unpredictable.

The little black cat encouraged us, "Don't worry, it doesn't have much energy left, and the time to replenish its energy is too short, it's almost at its limit, perseverance is victory."

Hasegawa said, "That's for the best, if it keeps bombing, it will be hard for us to hold on."

Garuda was at its last gasp, and its rate of fire slowly decreased. Luckily, I blocked a bomb, otherwise, there might have been something wrong inside the tank. Garuda's high-speed attack didn't completely hit the turret and the tracks, otherwise the tank would have been destroyed.

I chanted a spell, adding several more layers of blood barrier to the tank's outer layer to prevent any damage. Magic can be reused; I was so stupid to not think of that before, otherwise I wouldn't have been in such a sorry state.

Garuda stopped its attack, laughing loudly in mid-air: "That was really satisfying! My energy replenishment is less than one percent, and I've already beaten you all to this state. I'm so happy. If only you were Moratis, the Mechanical Enemy."

So strong with less than one percent energy? Impressive. Is it just boasting?

This battle was truly frustrating. I took the blame for others, and it understood everything, yet still acted recklessly. Since gaining power, I've done whatever I wanted without any restraint. Now I've encountered someone even more unreasonable than me; it's infuriating.

I snapped, "You're almost out of energy, what are you being so arrogant about?"

Garuda laughed, "Who said I'm out of energy? I haven't used it all up yet."

I said helplessly, "I guess you don't have much energy left. If you're tired, go back and rest, replenish your energy, and know when to stop. Aren't you tired? You really have nothing better to do."

Everyone inside the tank chuckled, and I was truly exasperated by what I said.

Garuda laughed loudly, "Of course the machine isn't tired. I really have nothing better to do than make fun of you. I absolutely won't go back until I've used up all my energy."

It was deliberately picking a fight, and I almost vomited blood from anger. I shouted, "I'm just afraid you won't have enough energy to go back."

Garuda said happily, "I have the maximum energy I can use, I guarantee safety, I haven't reached the limit yet."

I said angrily, "I don't believe you have much energy left. If you're so capable, try bombing again, you can't use the bombs, can you?"

Garuda laughed, "I originally wanted to play with you for a few more days, so I didn't go all out. Since you asked, I'll grant your wish." Its wings spread out, and two silver feathers stood up again. My superb eyesight allowed me to see clearly.

Hasegawa said dejectedly, "Brother, don't provoke it, it really will blow us up."

Two bombs fell like lightning. It hovered in mid-air, detonating with even greater accuracy. One bomb hit the turret, the other the tracks. Combined with machine gun fire, I couldn't block it. The bombs exploded as soon as they hit an obstacle. I couldn't leave the tank's vital positions open; if they were penetrated, it would be disastrous.

Its energy output was getting stronger and stronger. Although it was at its last gasp, the concentrated burst of power was even greater. I used my wings to block, minimizing the damage to the tank's interior from the explosion.

With a loud bang, the bombs exploded, and the tank was thrown several meters by the force of the blast. The power was significantly stronger than before. If I hadn't been trying my best to stabilize the tank from above, it might have been blown over. The tank landed and bounced twice, leaving the people inside dizzy and disoriented, but at least they were alive. A burst of bullets hit the empty space I had blocked, seemingly penetrating it.

I cried out in alarm and asked what was wrong. Hasegawa shouted that everything was alright, coughed twice, and a plume of black smoke billowed from the top of the turret. The tank's interior was definitely damaged, otherwise it wouldn't be smoking. I don't know how serious the damage is; hopefully it won't explode, otherwise we need to rescue them as soon as possible.

Garuda stopped attacking, seemingly amused, circling overhead and shouting, "You guys are really pathetic. I only used a little force and you couldn't stop me. A truly painful lesson."

I ignored her and asked urgently, "Will the ammunition explode? How much damage is there? Can you hold on?"

Hasegawa shouted, "The engine compartment was pierced by a bullet, but the damage isn't serious. The fire is out."

The tank is equipped with a fully automatic fire suppression system. The infrared sensors in the engine compartment and fighting compartment can detect all fire points within two milliseconds and automatically activate the fire suppression system, extinguishing the fire within one hundred and fifty milliseconds. I knew this when I studied the tank with Youming's help, and knowing they were alright put my mind at ease. Even if there was smoke inside, they wouldn't dare come out; it's even more dangerous outside.

The previous bullet's piercing power had increased several times. The Blood Barrier, primarily designed to protect against explosive impacts, couldn't prevent the bullet's penetration—truly terrifying; this was its current true strength.

I inquired about the situation inside and was fortunate that the tank could still operate. Without the multiple layers of Blood Barrier, the tank would have been destroyed long ago and wouldn't be able to move. However, if it continued to bomb, its wings wouldn't be able to protect it, and retreating would have been disastrous. The

Blood Barrier's enhancement has a limit; it can't be increased further. My magical abilities are currently limited, so I asked Youming, "Didn't you say its energy was almost depleted? How come it's still so strong? Your prediction was inaccurate."

The little black cat said aggrievedly, "But it hasn't run out of energy yet."

I wondered how many bombs Garuda still had available. It circled and roared in the air, seemingly unwilling to end the battle quickly, as if toying with us.

Although I am strong, I must protect my companions. It knew I posed no threat and was extremely arrogant. It probably didn't want to harm Youming, so it slowed down, and its energy consumption was too great; it needed to conserve its strength.

I looked up at it, unsure what to say. The area was riddled with craters and bullet holes; there were at least a dozen bullet holes per square meter. Luckily, it was far from the warehouse, otherwise the base would have been destroyed.

Garuda flew for a while, then asked in confusion, "Why aren't you saying anything?"

I leaned against the tank turret and said with a wry smile, "Keep bombing if you have the energy, otherwise just go back."

Garuda laughed, "Why don't you have any fighting spirit?"

I retorted angrily, "You want me to have fighting spirit? Let's fight one-on-one. Why are you always bombing my companions?"

Garuda laughed, "You can't handle that? You're too weak. I'm training you. Here are the last few bombs for you today." With a flap of its wings, two silver feathers rose up and shot down instantly.

My scalp tingled, and I shouted, "Get ready, it's going to bomb us again!"

Before I finished speaking, the two silver feathers shot down, hitting the turret and the blue wings with a loud bang, and the tank was blasted several meters away.

Hasegawa yelled from inside the tank, "Whatever, we won't kill them anyway, let them explode!"

I was unharmed, and I was furious. If it weren't for my protection, they would have been killed, but they could only rely on me. I tried my best to keep the tank stable. As long as Garuda didn't increase its energy output, the protective measures would be effective. The multiple Blood Barriers and depleted uranium armor were not easy to break through, not to mention my wings.

We could only passively take the hits now. Although the tank was powerful, it could only move on the ground and couldn't deal with Garuda in the air. It could only be used as a fortress. Garuda was high above and could attack at will.

After several explosions, the two girls inside the tank had gotten used to it and were no longer panicked. They were well prepared.

Garuda laughed loudly in the air, extremely pleased with our miserable state below. A

flash of inspiration struck me, and I yelled into the tank, "Quickly release smoke, so she can't hit us accurately!"

Hasegawa clapped his hands and said, "That's right, how come I didn't think of that? Big brother is smart."

There were six smoke grenade launchers on each side of the front of the turret, as well as an engine heat smoke release device. Hasegawa skillfully maneuvered the tank, quickly releasing a smokescreen.

The little black cat sighed, "You guys are really something. She's almost out of energy, and you only just started doing this? So slow!"

Hasegawa retorted sarcastically, "You're not exactly a visionary."

A nearby area was soon enveloped in red smoke, a hazy blur, as the tank rumbled into the fog.

Garuda didn't seize the opportunity to attack, remaining suspended in the air, letting us do as we pleased, laughing loudly, "You really came up with this idea! You think you can fool my eyes like this?"

My superior eyesight pierced through the fog; I could see it clearly, but I wondered if it could see me. It was a product of advanced civilization, its electronic eagle eyes sharp; it was impossible to completely block its vision with inferior means.

I didn't intend to completely deceive it; I just wanted to slightly affect the bombing. I laughed loudly, "Go ahead and bomb if you dare, see if you can hit it accurately. I advise you to save enough energy to get back."

Hasegawa shouted, "Infrared detection is useless now."

Garuda shouted, "Of course I can hit accurately, no need to remind me. Why would I use such a low-level method as infrared detection? Take this!"

Two silver feathers pierced through the red mist. One hit the turret, but it was blocked by the blue wings first, weakening its power. The other hit the back of the tank, knocking it back a distance, which I managed to stabilize.

I had expected it to hit, but there was still a slight deviation, and it didn't completely hit the vital parts. Perhaps the smoke screen had some effect, or perhaps it was careless.

Hasegawa continued to release smoke screens and drove the tank away. The smoke screen was non-toxic, and even if it were, I didn't need to breathe. My respiratory system was modified, so even if I inhaled it, it wouldn't be a big problem.

After several bombardments, Bluewing was a little numb, but undamaged. I was very happy and laughed loudly, "This is useless. You didn't aim properly. Now you're out of energy!"

Garuda spread its wings and circled, snorting angrily in the air, "Consider yourself lucky, but it's not over yet." Suddenly, it swooped down and merged with the Hummer again. I guessed that it didn't have enough energy to continue bombing, otherwise it wouldn't have done this.

I immediately felt relieved, no longer facing the threat of bombs, and shouted, "It came down and merged with the Hummer. It doesn't have enough energy to bomb us. Let's wear it down."

Hasegawa shouted excitedly, "We can defeat it."

The little black cat muttered, "Defeating it without being able to fight back? Overconfidence."

I saw Garuda charging towards us and quickly reminded Hasegawa to dodge, but the tank was not as agile as the Hummer. No matter how good Hasegawa's driving skills were, he couldn't dodge it.

Hasegawa barely managed to turn the tank and accelerate, shouting, "I don't believe she can ram me."

With a loud crash, the tank was hit in the rear by the Hummer and slid more than a meter away. Garuda is truly formidable; the Hummer rammed into the tank, gaining a complete advantage. Those inside were caught off guard, screaming in alarm as they were tumbled to the ground.

Although the tank's observation system was advanced, the Hummer's darting and disappearing movements through the smoke made it difficult for Hasegawa and the others to spot. Ordinary observation methods are ineffective against advanced mechanized weaponry.

I stabilized the tank from the outside, barely managing to hold it off, while attacking with a machine gun from atop the tank. Being too far away, it was difficult to hit it with my Blue Wing Slash. Garuda kept retaliating, firing sporadically, as the effect was too poor to bother wasting ammunition.

Its ramming tactics were smarter than before, always hiding in blind spots where I couldn't reach it, charging repeatedly. When I attacked, it would flee, changing its attack direction. Although I was hit a few times, they were all minor injuries.

I couldn't tell if it could now launch bombs; its bullets had increased penetrating power. I had to protect the tank with my wings, afraid to fly up and grab it, fearing it would use the same tactic again to attack the tank. If it weren't for my flanking protection, the tank would have been blown up long ago. But constantly ramming it head-on wasn't a good strategy. The tank lurched and stumbled, with everyone inside thrown about.

I roared, "You don't need to risk your life like this!"

Garuda laughed loudly, "It's been a long time since I've had this much fun. It's really enjoyable."

Hasegawa said, "It used our stuff to ram us. Three Humvees were destroyed in total. They're all our property."

Sweet Orange said, "Survival is the priority. Don't worry about property. Don't you think the bullets and shells you fired cost money? We've suffered a huge loss. Today we've lost at least several hundred thousand US dollars."

They really had the leisure to consider how much they would lose. But if they kept firing like this, I would suffer heavy losses, and I was really angry. I grabbed the anti-tank rocket launcher, took a few armor-piercing rounds from inside the tank, and fired directly at the bottom of the vehicle. I didn't intentionally aim there; I was just filled with righteous indignation and fired a random shot.

Garuda, thinking it couldn't be hurt, didn't dodge at all, only to be thrown over by the blast wave. Enraged, it tumbled in mid-air, landed, and chased after the tank unharmed.

It was clever, starting to dodge armor-piercing rounds instead of blocking them head-on, and maneuvering the Hummer with great agility, making it difficult to hit. The Hummer actually chasing the tank was incredibly arrogant, but Hasegawa could only run away. The collisions continued, and with a loud crash, the rear of the tank was hit again.

Sweet Orange shouted, "Big brother, think of something to stop it from crashing again!"

Of course, I was thinking of something, but I didn't have a good plan. I threw down the anti-tank rocket launcher, moved my body on the tank, and Blue Wings slashed out instantly, but Garuda retreated after a slight touch, quickly creating distance after the collision, avoiding being slashed, and then charged forward, slamming into the front of the tank.

I roared angrily, jumped in front, and Blue Wings slashed again. This time it didn't dodge. A flash of white light, and it separated from the Hummer, using the sharpness of its liquid metal shell to directly break through the blood barrier protection, piercing through completely, and instantly merging with the tank.

I cleaved a gash in the top of the Hummer, but it was no use. I was utterly shocked; the thing I'd been fearing had finally happened, and I was completely at a loss.

Hasegawa shouted, "Something seems wrong! The tank's out of control! It's merged with the tank?"

In an instant, the tank's surface was fused with Garuda, turning silver-white .

Garuda laughed loudly, "Let's see what you do now."

I cried out, "It's merged with the tank! What do we do?"

Hasegawa shouted, "Now it's controlling the tank, the inside is silver-white. Big brother, cut it down from above!"

Sweet Orange cried, "No, we'll get hurt inside. We've already destroyed three Hummers, we can't destroy a tank too, that's money!"

I was about to cleave the tank with all my might, but thinking of the people inside, my hand went limp. I really didn't want to destroy the tank.

Garuda was driving the tank with all her might, spinning it rapidly in place. It was unbelievable how fast she could spin a tank.

She yelled, "I'm making you dizzy! It must feel great inside!"

I felt dizzy outside; those inside were certainly not having an easy time, spinning themselves into a daze.

The little black cat angrily shouted, "Galoura, stop spinning! I'm inside!"

Garuda laughed loudly, "Who told you to be inside? Spinning around a few times won't kill you."

With the little black cat inside, I felt somewhat relieved. Garuda wouldn't fire recklessly. It was best to rescue them first. Garuda controlled the tank and could transform at will, capable of anything. If he fired from inside, they wouldn't be able to escape and would be slaughtered. It was really unsafe. Garuda's ability to seize control of its own territory was truly remarkable.

Hasegawa frantically pounded on the turret, but it was out of control, sealed off by Garuda. Unless he used the Blue Wing Slash, it would be difficult to open, and the people inside would suffocate. This was a vicious tactic.

Hasegawa's efforts were in vain, and he cried out urgently, "Big brother, quickly cut open the top! We're dizzy from spinning around, we're about to throw up!"

Using the Blue Wing might hurt the people inside. I had a sudden inspiration: the Hook Blade would suffice. Why use the Blue Wing? I was still dizzy from Garuda's anger. I immediately inserted the Hook Blade into the gap in the turret, and it went in smoothly.

Both girls couldn't stand it anymore. Sweet Orange cried out, "It's so stuffy in there! Big brother, don't worry about the tank damage, just let us out!"

Ghostly Ghost also kept grumbling. I replied, "Don't worry, I'll get you out right away." With a powerful jerk of his right fist, he flung open the turret cover.

Garuda cried out, "Don't worry, I won't hurt them. If they want to kill them, I can shoot them from inside."

Hasegawa pulled Sweet Orange over and pushed her up. He still had a gentlemanly demeanor, which was rare. Sweet Orange was the weakest among them, perhaps even weaker than Little Black Cat.

She finally caught her breath, grabbed the jerk of my right hand, and was about to struggle to climb out when suddenly she seemed to be lifted up by a great force, jumped out with a scream, and I quickly caught her.

Garuda must have tampered with things inside, but I didn't know the specifics. Before I could comfort Sweet Orange and continue pulling out the others, Hasegawa seemed to be thrown out by a huge force and crashed to the ground outside. His kung fu was superb; he somersaulted in mid-air, rolled on the ground, and protected himself, escaping injury, before standing up straight.

By this time, the tank had already driven out of the smoke screen. Jenny, not wanting to be thrown out, tried to transform into a bat and fly away. She was about to grab the little black cat, but was a step too slow and was thrown out by Garuda, soaring into the sky with a loud, angry roar.

I quickly threw Sweet Orange to Hasegawa and shouted, "Run!"

The little black cat, thrown out of the tank by Garuda, didn't receive any special treatment. Afraid she would get hurt, I quickly caught her, and in an instant, everything was in chaos.

The little black cat angrily cursed, "Galoura, how dare you throw me away! Why didn't you let me stay inside?"

Garuda shouted, "You little rascal, who told you to shoot me just now? Karma comes fast!"

Jenny descended from the sky, and everyone hurriedly retreated. Hasegawa yelled, "Where do we go? There's nowhere to hide! Big brother, quickly cut it down!"

I spread my blue wings, intending to cleave the tank in two, but destroying it would be a waste, as it wouldn't harm Garuda and would only increase our own losses. It was not a good idea. I couldn't destroy it every time it changed; that would be too stupid. This place would be completely destroyed sooner or later.

Chapter 3 ◆ Divine Courage and Dragon's Might

A thought flashed through my mind, and I hesitated slightly. At that moment, the tank turned its cannon, pointing it directly at Hasegawa and the others. I was shocked. I couldn't care less about cutting down Garuda anymore; protecting my companions was the priority.

Once Garuda fired, everyone without protection would be blasted into cannon fodder. I reacted quickly. As the cannon barrel turned, I jumped off the tank, holding the little black cat, and swiftly severed a machine gun. With a flap of my wings, I soared into the air, blocking the cannon's muzzle, controlling my wings with ease.

Everyone frantically fled backward. Hasegawa shouted, "Big brother, save us!"

The little black cat wailed in my arms, "Don't use me as a shield! She'll blast me to smithereens!"

I suppressed a laugh. Garuda wouldn't attack her, but I didn't want to scare her. Out of pride, I didn't want to use her to defeat Garuda, so I quickly tossed her behind me, letting her cling to my golden wings.

The little black cat cried out, "This is so tiring!"

It was tiring, but she didn't run back to us. She still clung to me, whether out of fear of being hit by stray bullets or just wanting to join in the fun, she wouldn't be in danger if she left alone.

Garuda laughed loudly, "You think you can stop me like this?"

I solemnly replied, "Go ahead and try."

With a bang, a fin-stabilized discarding sabot depleted uranium armor-piercing round slammed into my chest at close range. It really opened fire, with both machine guns firing simultaneously, spraying bullets wildly at me and my comrades behind me.

The instant I was hit, I felt a tightness in my chest, as if I wanted to vomit blood. I wasn't injured, but it felt strange to be hit by a shell at close range for the first time. It was a psychological factor; even though I'm physically strong, it's impossible not to be afraid when you're blocking a shell at close range for the first time. However, for the sake of my comrades behind me, I couldn't let this attack pass. A true man dies if he has to; what is there to fear?

The shrapnel flying everywhere had no effect on me. The feeling of being hit in the chest by the shell was completely different from the feeling of being hit in the wing by a bomb. It was much more shocking. The shell wasn't a simple fin-stabilized discarding sabot depleted uranium armor-piercing round; it must have been modified by Garuda, making it more powerful. It didn't have much energy, so it couldn't have been modified to be particularly powerful, otherwise, it would have been really hard to stop.

When I spoke earlier, I anticipated that it would attack. Its wings spread out completely, becoming enormous and blocking the front of the tank, protecting the fleeing people behind it. All the bullets it fired were blocked.

We were very close; the tank couldn't bypass me to attack. Even if it slipped through, Hasegawa was there to cover me from behind. As long as I ducked, I should be fine. However, the powerful impact of the shells and bullets still sent me flying through the air. I used my body and outstretched wings to shield myself from the tank's attack, determined not to let it break through.

The little black cat clung to my back, meowing incessantly. Hasegawa and the others cried out in alarm, worried about me. They retreated far away, but couldn't find anywhere to hide, so they could only take cover behind me.

I shouted, "I'm fine, don't worry, get to the Hummer quickly!"

Garuda fired wildly, and the tank charged forward relentlessly. Did it think it could kill me and would try to ram me? Every second, several bullets or shells pounded into my body. I had difficulty speaking, fearing bullets would hit my mouth or eyes, so I could only shield my face with my arms.

Garuda laughed loudly, "I'm going to crush you!"

Faced with its frenzied charging attack, I was constantly being knocked back through the air, barely managing to shield myself.

I had the ability to rush in and destroy the tank, but after that, Garuda's attack would be even more troublesome. It's better to attack like this; although the power is great, I can block it, it won't hurt me, the danger is minimal, and it's good practice for my defensive skills. It also drains Garuda's energy, so when it gets tired, it will stop attacking, saving money by not destroying the tank. Therefore, I didn't rush in to attack, but just kept it occupied.

While we were engaged in fierce fighting, Hasegawa and the others ran towards the Humvee. It's safer and faster inside the Humvee than outside.

I kept my eyes peeled and constantly changed direction. Fortunately, I was quick-witted and had excellent abilities, which allowed me to successfully block Garuda's attack in that direction and do my best to protect them. Otherwise, Hasegawa and the others would have been riddled with bullets.

A moment later, they entered the Humvee, started it up, and didn't go far, seemingly waiting for me. They probably didn't know where to drive, and I didn't know either. I needed to rejoin them first.

In a brief moment, I took over a thousand bullets and several shells at close range. It felt like a tickle, but constant tickling wasn't a good thing. I figured the tank didn't have much ammunition left, which boosted my confidence. I gradually flapped my wings

and drifted backward. Garuda, driving its tank, rumbled towards me menacingly. If I continued to retreat, I might expose an opening, giving it an opportunity to attack. Before retreating, I had to counterattack. I wanted to deflate its arrogance, so I flapped my wings and charged forward instead of retreating. Garuda was caught off guard and startled, slamming on the brakes and instinctively firing a shot.

In that instant, my counterattack was incredibly swift. I punched away the shell, the shrapnel posing no threat to me. In the blink of an eye, I was in front of the tank, my keratinized right fist blocking the cannon muzzle, my wings blocking the machine gun muzzle.

Garuda cried out in panic, "What are you doing?"

It was actually afraid, unable to fire now. The shells and bullets were all blocked by me, unable to harm me. Forcing a shot would only cause a barrel explosion, which was unnecessary.

I didn't answer, but flapped my wings wildly, using the powerful impact to flip over the two machine guns, preventing it from firing properly. At the same time, I twisted the turret. Garuda roared angrily, but didn't separate and fly away, probably curious about my actions.

I didn't want to damage the tank, just gain some advantage. I ignored its bluff, making sure its attack posed no threat to Hasegawa and the others, before landing. I lifted the tank chassis and suddenly flipped it over. The tank flipped halfway in the air before landing, but unfortunately, it didn't land on its side first, but rather on its side, making it difficult to get up. It

depended on its skill. I took the opportunity to spread my wings and fly back to the Humvee, extremely fast. I had only temporarily repelled Garuda; it would soon recover. Hasegawa and the others applauded and cheered, extremely excited, welcoming me back, seemingly unconcerned about the immediate danger. Perhaps they had too much faith in me.

I used my wings to protect the Hummer, tossing the little black cat hanging from them to Sweet Orange. The cat clung to Sweet Orange's head with all four paws, yelping loudly. Sweet Orange was both amused and exasperated, and could only hold onto it.

A loud bang came from afar. I turned my head and saw that the tank had flipped over. Garuda really knew how to handle things, solving the problem so quickly. The turret and machine gun were now aimed at us. I yelled for Hasegawa to drive faster, then jumped onto the roof, using my wings to protect the entire vehicle.

The tank erupted in flames, a burst of bullets hitting the wings precisely. Garuda, known for its speed, launched a rapid attack, but Hasegawa had already started the Hummer and sped away.

The tank rumbled in, giving chase. Although cumbersome, Garuda was incredibly fast, far exceeding the Hummer's speed, and would soon catch up. I didn't dare underestimate it and quickly reminded Hasegawa to accelerate, but we were already at the Hummer's top speed.

The little black cat rubbed against Sweet Orange's lap and meowed, "The big, clumsy eagle is catching up!"

First the Humvee chased the tank, now the tank is chasing the Humvee, and Garuda is clearly dominating. The tank is getting closer and closer, the machine gun fire intensifying; it's hard to believe its energy is nearly depleted. Perhaps this is its final frenzy, a desperate attempt to hold on for victory.

A flash of light from the tank's cannon muzzle, and it finally fired. It fired only when it was so close, showing its increased caution.

In that instant, a thought flashed through my mind: if the shell hit the Humvee, its winged defenses wouldn't completely absorb the powerful impact, and the Humvee would still be damaged. Unlike when the Silver Eagle possessed it, it wouldn't have the liquid metal shell protection; the Blood Barrier might not be enough. The previous shelling of the Humvee had no effect, but this time there might be danger, especially since shrapnel from the exploding shell could injure everyone inside.

In that instant, I stepped forward, my wings billowing in the wind, blocking all the bullets. With a powerful punch, I met the incoming shell head-on. With a resounding bang, the armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot depleted uranium core round was deflected by my fist. Although the shell's speed was incredibly fast, it seemed slow to me.

I unleashed my full potential, precisely controlling the projectile's trajectory, striking with deadly force. My fist was like a diamond, its power immense. The armor-piercing round returned in a straight line, striking the tank turret. An eye for an eye, the shell exploded.

The moment I struck, I roared, "You guys move forward! Don't wait for me, I'll hold her off!"

Hasegawa and the others, knowing my abilities, immediately sped forward. "If I

don't roar, she'll take me for a fool."

I flapped my wings lightly, roared against the wind, and stood proudly in the air, my gaze fixed on Garuda, full of provocation. One man can hold off ten thousand; even if you have three heads and six arms, and are immortal, you won't get past me.

The previous battle was somewhat playful; I didn't go all out. We weren't mortal enemies; protecting my comrades was enough. As Youming said before, the main purpose was to hone my combat skills. Now, I'm showing my fierce and domineering power.

The armor-piercing shell that just hit the tank turret from the opposite direction almost penetrated the cannon barrel. Although it was protected by the Blood Barrier and the liquid metal shell, preventing it from being damaged, it was startled by my crazy actions and immediately stopped, inevitably feeling uneasy.

Previously, I had remained calm and composed, handling any dangerous situation with ease. Never before had I been so frenzied. I pounded my chest with my keratinized right fist, roaring fiercely, "Go ahead and bomb me! Are you scared? If you're out of energy, go back. Don't be a show-off!"

Garuda, though somewhat intimidated, was provoked and yelled, "Don't be so smug!"

Two armor-piercing shells were fired in quick succession. I leaped forward and punched, deflecting one shell back, which collided with the one behind, exploding instantly. A double hit!

I laughed wildly and leaped away. Hasegawa drove around in the distance, picking up weapons, constantly monitoring our situation. Seeing my overwhelming advantage, he began to approach.

Garuda continued his relentless pursuit, but his confidence had been shaken, and his offensive was weakened, reducing his shelling and firing. My high-pressure intimidation was effective. Retreating towards the Humvee, I detonated shells and blocked bullets mid-air, feeling extremely satisfied.

Hasegawa shouted from afar, "Big brother is too freakish, he can actually fight like that."

This was indeed insane. I was too strong. I told Hasegawa to turn the car around and protect them as they retreated, continuing to wear down Garuda's energy. But I didn't get into the car to avoid the shells damaging the Humvee. I could easily punch the shells alone; being in the car would restrict my movements.

The tank soon stopped firing, and the machine gun fire gradually died down.

Hasegawa shouted, "It probably used up all its shells and bullets. We used up a lot just now, and it fired for a long time; it should be out of ammo now."

That should be the case. I wondered what she would do now.

The little black cat shouted, "The tank ran out of bullets, but it still has its own. Don't be too smug."

Sure enough, two silver-white machine guns appeared in front of the tank and began firing. I was prepared; my wings could completely shield me. I laughed loudly, "Without shells, it's no threat. It's safe inside the Humvee; I'll protect it from the outside."

Everyone was chatting and laughing, very happy. After a series of battles, they were no longer afraid of Garuda.

Hasegawa got out of the car, hid behind me, and handed me the anti-tank rocket launcher and a few rockets he had just picked up. He then picked up a light machine gun and laughed, "Big brother, practice your aim with this."

Little Black Cat said, "That won't do her

any good." Hasegawa laughed, "We're just playing around. Even if we can't hurt it, we won't be satisfied without taking a few hits."

Garuda's energy was low, so we treated this as a game of combat. Blocking bullets was too easy. I was bored anyway, so playing around a bit more wouldn't hurt. I took the anti-tank rocket launcher and rockets, aimed at the tank, and fired with great accuracy. I wasn't the weapons novice I used to be; after combat experience, I was quite familiar with these weapons.

Hasegawa, hiding behind me, started firing the light machine gun when the bullets couldn't reach him, probably just wanting to indulge his shooting urges. He had been driving the whole time and hadn't had many opportunities to fire, only firing a few shells.

In our world, opportunities to play like this are rare. Such thrilling scenes are uncommon. Unless you join the US military or a mercenary force and fight wars around the world, assassins don't have the chance to use these weapons; a sniper rifle is enough.

We've used up a lot of ammunition today, worth a lot of money, but we don't care about this small amount. Besides, we discovered Joseph's Nazi treasure; this money is a drop in the ocean.

Anti-tank rocket launchers and machine guns can't harm Garuda, protected by magical barriers and liquid metal shells. Low-level weapons are ineffective against high-level mechanical weaponry; it's just for fun.

We exchanged fire. I quickly fired several rockets, threw away the rocket launcher, let Hasegawa return to the car, took his light machine gun, and fired the remaining hundreds of rounds—it was truly exhilarating.

Now I can hit anywhere I want; my eyesight is incredibly accurate, and my strong grip allows me to hold any weapon firmly without moving an inch while firing—this is key to accuracy.

I didn't want to destroy the tank, so I didn't fire into its cannon. Otherwise, it would have been easy; my shooting skills are probably better than Hasegawa's, the professional assassin and demon hunter.

Hasegawa got back into the car and started reversing. The tank was closing in on us again.

I threw the empty machine gun aside and slowly retreated, protecting the Humvee. The tank's speed slowed, and the machine gun fire weakened considerably, becoming intermittent. Perhaps it was

still shaken and its energy was truly depleted. I laughed loudly, "It's almost out of energy. Let's see how arrogant it can be now."

Jenny laughed, "Hopefully it won't even have the energy to fly away, then Master can capture prisoners."

The little black cat said, "You wish! That's impossible."

Sweet Orange said, "It seems to be sulking with us, not leaving now. It's really something."

I didn't want to delay any longer and prepared to go and deal with it. I told Hasegawa to drive forward, be careful to dodge, and protect himself. I tried my best to shield them from bullets.

Hasegawa said, "No problem, go ahead, brother! Its current rate of fire won't hurt us."

Jenny said, "It's short on energy right now and can't penetrate the Hummer's magical defenses."

The Hummer had been riddled with holes by me before, but it could still hold out for a while.

I told them to be careful, flapped my wings, and leaped up, completely blocking the tank's firing path. I was incredibly fast, rushing towards the tank in the blink of an eye, my wings striking down and instantly severing two machine guns. I then merged back into the tank and lifted its chassis.

Garuda couldn't react in time, letting out a scream. Faced with my explosive action, it was speechless. It had been shocked once before, and this time I made it remember it for life.

I instantly raised the tank high, cannons pointing skyward, and laughed loudly, "Now you can't fire, you know how powerful I am! Let's see what you do now."

The massive steel behemoth, many times larger than my body, was held above my head, a truly comical sight.

Garuda cried out, "You're a madman!"

I laughed loudly, "I rarely go mad, and you forced me to."

Garuda shouted, "You think you can defeat me like this? Dream on!"

I laughed, "What other skills do you have? Show them to me."

Garuda didn't speak, its liquid metal shell instantly coalesced, abruptly separating from the tank, and it soared into the air. But I had anticipated this; the instant it separated, I flapped my wings, completely blocking its attack path, preventing it from attacking my companions behind me. I grabbed the tank with both hands, soaring through the air, and lashed out at it.

I was the first to use a tank as a melee weapon, lifting it with ease, as if it were a feather. Given the tank's weight, a hit would likely be fatal to even advanced mechanized weapons.

Garuda was indeed terrified. Being close enough to find no opening, it reacted quickly, immediately turning and fleeing like a shooting star, not daring to look back, narrowly escaping the thunderous blow.

I gave chase, roaring like a raging deity—not truly angry, just trying to scare it. This was the first time I'd ever chased it, and watching it flee in disarray filled me with immense satisfaction.

Garuda hadn't escaped the base, flying low and darting erratically across the battlefield. Although I was incredibly fast, my tank was unaffected, but the advanced mechanical weaponry's flight power was indeed formidable, not slower than mine, twisting and turning, making it difficult to catch up for a while.

I brandished my tank in mid-air, its power considerable, but its actual effect was minimal, at best only enough to frighten it. It bypassed several obstacles we'd set up and vanished. A chill ran down my spine. Perhaps it had merged with the scattered weapons to hide from me, planning to ambush us from here?

Its energy wasn't completely depleted; Hasegawa had hidden many weapons nearby. Who knew which one she'd chosen? Hasegawa's setup left me speechless. I couldn't examine each weapon individually; it seemed to possess a concealment attribute, able to hide its silvery-white color.

I couldn't waste time here; what if it secretly flew off to ambush my companions? For safety reasons, I stopped trying to catch it. I flew back with the tank in my arms, first rejoining the others, then figuring out how to find it. It couldn't be hiding here; it was too dangerous. The little black cat's sense of smell would probably find it; they seemed familiar with each other. I wondered if the little black cat would help.

I spread my wings and flew back. Hasegawa and the others arrived in a Hummer. I landed, gently setting down the tank. The spot where I gripped it was slightly damaged and deformed, showing how strong I was.

The two girls' eyes sparkled. Sweet Orange beamed, "Big brother is so brave!"

Hasegawa got out of the car and called out, "Did it get scared and run away? Where did it go?"

Before I could answer, the little black cat in Sweet Orange's arms said, "It didn't run away; it's still nearby, waiting to ambush us."

It thought the same thing as me; it was so clever.

I explained the situation, and Sweet Orange complained to Hasegawa, "Everything you brought out was used against us! How did you set this up?"

Hasegawa said dejectedly, "How was I supposed to know this would happen? It was completely unnecessary. From now on, we need to use a scorched-earth policy to deal with it."

Everyone was a little worried, but I reassured them, "It doesn't have much energy. I'll protect you; it can't pull any tricks."

Everyone felt a little relieved and wanted to search for Garuda together. I was worried about their safety, so I told them to hide in the Hummer and behind the tanks for safety. I would search alone and tell them to call me immediately if anything happened. Since they couldn't help, they had no choice but to agree.

I teased the little black cat, "Do you know where it's hiding? Help me find it." The

little black cat scratched its head and said, "It's hard to find when it's hiding. I can't find it."

It clung tightly to Sweet Orange's neck, snuggling against her, unwilling to help, probably afraid of Garuda's revenge.

We had no choice but to search alone. I flew back, circled in the air for a while, and carefully searched the place where it had disappeared, but I still couldn't find it; there wasn't a single trace.

Hasegawa and the others hid in the car, somewhat nervous, glancing around nervously, afraid that Garuda might suddenly leap out from somewhere.

I couldn't help but shout, "Stop hiding! Go back after you're done. Is this really necessary?"

A soft "poof" sounded, extremely faint, but my keen hearing heard it, and my incredibly sensitive touch felt the tiny shockwave from the bullet breaking through the air, heading straight for my temple. Garuda had indeed ambushed me from the shadows, but it was useless; even if it hit, it wouldn't cause any serious harm.

This feeling was the same as when Hasegawa sniped at me earlier. In an instant, I didn't dodge; with lightning speed, my keratinized right fist easily deflected a Magnum bullet that was fired at me, less than twenty centimeters from my temple.

I looked in the direction the bullet came from, but saw nothing. I shouted, "This is useless."

Garuda was well hidden, and her voice came from the same direction the bullet came out: "I knew it wouldn't hurt you. Your senses and reactions are really sharp, unexpected, very interesting."

My keen intuition sensed her location, but I didn't rush over. I laughed, "Knowing it's ineffective, why bother?"

Garuda said, "It's rare to be interested in playing around today. Don't be nervous. I don't intend to kill your companion. You really can't joke around."

I laughed, "Do you think your dangerous actions are a joke?"

Garuda said, "For a master, it is a joke, but if you don't have the skill, you deserve to die."

I said helplessly, "Since you want to play games, I'll play with you. Stop hiding, I know where you are."

A German DS RNO. 1 sniper rifle jumped out from its hiding place, its appearance gradually revealing a silver-white color. I couldn't help but laugh. A sniper rifle that could jump around.

Garuda's transformation into a sniper rifle was really funny, and it was even a silenced version with a suppressor. It was the one that fired the Laplacian just now. Magnum rounds made a faint sound.

Hasegawa and the others couldn't help but chuckle, but dared not come out, hiding behind the tank for fear of causing me trouble.

Garuda, about a hundred meters away, shouted, "Don't laugh! Am I funny? How awful!"

A burst of five bullets came hurtling towards my head. At a distance of a hundred meters, there was almost no time interval; one or two bullets could blow a normal person's head off, but they posed no threat to me. In an instant, I had enough time to react, deflecting all five bullets.

Garuda jumped up, amused, changed its magazine, and braced itself on its front support, its posture very proper.

I suddenly had a funny thought: if it were an assassin, it would be far superior to Hasegawa; after killing someone, it could simply fly away, and no one would notice.

Chapter 4 ◆ The Ultimate Target

The first three bullets came again. I shielded my head with my arm, letting the bullets hit my body, and walked forward, trying to catch this powerful pet eagle. In some ways, it was more useful than Youming.

The group behind the tank whispered and laughed, talking about something I couldn't understand.

Three more bullets came in quick succession. It seemed to be playing a joke; they really couldn't hurt me. In that instant, a thought flashed through my mind. Instead of using my hands to block the bullets, I leaned back slightly and sideways, dodging all three bullets on the spot.

An ordinary person leaning back without support would fall over; it would be extremely difficult to perform such a high-difficulty move. Only a superhuman like me could control my body at will. Since

it couldn't hurt me, I'd play a shooting game with it and practice my reaction and dodging skills. Hasegawa and the others weren't behind me, so I didn't need to worry about hurting them; I could dodge at will.

Garuda said it wouldn't hurt them, and besides, there were tanks and Humvees blocking their way. Even if they were attacked, I could come to their rescue in time, and they would be fine. It didn't have much energy, and the bullets wouldn't penetrate the magical barrier.

I shouted, "I'll play a game with you. If you can hit me, you win, but you can't use your gun." The Silver Eagle's rate of fire was too fast; I couldn't guarantee I could dodge them.

Garuda was intrigued: "Alright, I'll use your weapons. If you can dodge them all, you win. What's in it for me?"

It actually wanted something in return. A thought struck me. I tapped the Ring of Eternity on my right middle finger and laughed, "You need it to help resurrect the second generation of vampires, but the Ring of Eternity is bound to a master, so it's useless to you. How about this: if you hit me, I'll use it to do something for you. What do you say?"

Garuda angrily said, "That little black cat tells you everything! It's infuriating!"

I laughed, "Don't blame it; it means well."

Garuda said, "I know..." "It's a deal," I said with a smile.

"A promise is a promise. What if I win?"

Garuda actually cheated, saying, "I can't promise you anything. My older brother, Jet, decides."

I laughed, "If I win, just don't attack my companions."

Garuda pondered, "If I don't attack your companions, how can I beat you?"

It actually thought that! I smiled helplessly, "You can't always think about winning against me like this; it's not a fair victory."

Garuda said, "I want to agree, but I can't say for sure. I'll tell my older brother."

Wasn't that the same as saying nothing? I was both amused and exasperated. I couldn't do anything about it, but I didn't care. Whether it agreed or not, I had the ability to protect everyone. Even if it agreed, I couldn't believe it would still protect us carefully.

Winning or losing wasn't important; it was just doing it a favor. The ring had already recognized me as its master, so helping it wouldn't be difficult. If I lost, they would need my help and naturally wouldn't make things difficult for us anymore. No matter how you looked at it, I wouldn't lose out.

Even without the bet, as long as they don't become our enemies, or even join us, I'll help them. Why not agree now? I'm not one to make empty promises.

I genuinely want to recruit them; their participation would be a tremendous boost to our strength. With their help, mastering advanced civilization wouldn't be difficult, but I must first win their favor. Even if the mutated Moratis, the Mechanical Enemy, has given them a bad first impression, I must do my best to salvage the situation and let them know I'm a friend, not an enemy.

Garuda now understands I'm not the Mechanical Enemy, unlike Moratis. Although I don't know who Moratis is, I will use sincerity to influence them; violence is not the goal.

This is the first step in conquering it. My previous domineering performance has basically earned its approval, so it's talking to me now; otherwise, there would be no way to communicate. The strong only talk to the strong.

In a flash, I thought about many things before making this move. I nodded and said, "Okay, I'll bet you. If we become friends in the future, even if you lose the bet, I'll still help you. You can tell your older brother."

Garuda agreed. Hasegawa shouted from behind the tank in the distance, "Boss, what are you doing?"

I shouted back, "It's okay, I'll be fine. Don't worry, just watch the show."

They stopped shouting and completely trusted me, watching from a distance.

Ordinary weapons can't hurt strong people like us. The bet is about Garuda's accuracy and my reaction speed. She uses a sniper rifle with a scope, so accuracy isn't a problem. The main test is my reaction speed—I have to dodge the bullets the moment she fires. She didn't use her full strength when she fired earlier; now is the real test.

In just one hundred meters, the bullets fly out in a split second. It's a severe test for me. I haven't trained before, but I believe I can do it.

Garuda called out, "Are you ready?"

My wings were too vulnerable to air resistance, making me an easy target. I retracted them, allowing for more agile dodging. I called back, "You can begin."

Garuda didn't mince words, switching to a spare magazine. Three magnum rounds instantly flew out; I guessed they were homemade, all of the same caliber—Hasegawa couldn't possibly have produced so many.

This time, it aimed to hit me, firing in three directions—chest and abdomen—instead of a simultaneous barrage. At such close range, a normal person couldn't react in time, especially with the silencer, making the sound faint. Even a superhuman with lightning-fast reflexes would struggle to dodge these three shots.

I focused all my attention on the sniper rifle's muzzle. The bullets had barely left the barrel when my superior eyesight locked onto them, perfectly discerning their flight paths and target points. They appeared several times slower to me, but in reality, my movements were far faster than a normal person's.

In an instant, I was upside down on the spot, leaning back and twisting to the side in an incredible contortion, maintaining perfect balance in an impossible situation, dodging a three-point barrage with a move that no ordinary person could possibly make. Three bullets grazed my body, almost simultaneously, each accompanied by a gust of wind.

Thank God for this incredible physique, but the test wasn't over. Before my body could fully recover, three more bullets came flying—two hitting my upper body as I leaned to the side, and one blocking my upper body, preventing me from getting up. Truly vicious.

My reaction was lightning fast, my eyesight exceptional. Without even straightening up, I used my core strength to shift and twist my upper body to the side, a simple change of direction, perfectly avoiding the three bullets.

These movements sound simple, but ordinary people couldn't do them, let alone execute them instantly. Hasegawa and the others watching, afraid of disturbing me, dared not cheer, and could hardly see the bullets clearly either. But what about Little Black Cat?

I jumped up instantly, and during a lull in the shooting, I laughed, "You missed!"

Garuda chuckled, "Don't worry, this is just the warm-up."

With a few soft clicks, the German-made sniper rifle it had possessed suddenly disintegrated, scattering in mid-air into a dozen or so parts. Before I could understand what was happening, they began to rearrange and reassemble themselves in the air, completing the assembly in the blink of an eye.

I marveled at its incredible power, while Hasegawa and the others exclaimed in the distance, "It's like a Transformer!"

Another form of the sniper rifle appeared before me, similar to the previous one, with some minor changes. Fortunately, it wasn't too unusual and wouldn't test my imagination too much. But if it could do this, who knew what its older brother could do? Judging from what the little black cat said, Jet was even stronger, and who knew what it could become? I was already mentally prepared.

The sniper rifle transformed into the standard model, 990 mm in length, with a 650 mm barrel, and weighing 5.9 kg. As Hasegawa had mentioned before, and I remembered clearly, it fired 7.62 mm Winchester Magnum rounds.

With the silencer removed, I could see clearly in an instant.

Garuda laughed loudly, "Let's continue playing."

Accompanied by the sound of gunfire, a series of six bullets came again. I aimed at the direction of each bullet, dodging left and right, leaning forward and backward, narrowly escaping each time, but always managing to avoid them. My graceful, agile, and indescribably twisted movements gave people a strange feeling.

I became more and more adept, dodging at will, and laughed loudly, "You're too slow."

Garuda shouted angrily, disassembling and reassembling it again into a long-barreled form, 790 mm long, firing 7.62 mm NATO standard Winchester rounds. She was so familiar with firearms. Although she didn't know anything about low-level weapons beforehand, as soon as she fused them, she immediately knew each combination form. She was really amazing. The transformation was too fast, and the automatic disassembly and assembly were completed in an instant, without any tools.

Actually, changing the barrel is very simple; you just need to use a screwdriver to unscrew the three horizontal screws securing the barrel from the receiver. It even skipped that step. But I remained steadfast, undeterred by its changing shape.

A sniper rifle isn't a machine gun; its magazine capacity and rate of fire are limited. Although it uses advanced technology to constantly replenish these, a sniper rifle can never reach its original machine gun rate of fire. I understood this, which is why I dared to bet with it. If it fired five thousand rounds per minute, even if it didn't hurt me, I couldn't possibly dodge them all, even if I worked myself to death.

Its current rate of fire was far too slow for me. With my feet firmly on the ground, I could easily dodge the bullets by simply using my limbs. The bullets grazed my skin, the air currents brushing against my body, but they didn't touch me at all; not a hair on my head was harmed.

Garuda roared in anger, anxious and determined not to lose. It was hilarious; what a proud machine eagle! The little black cat was absolutely right; it understood its personality.

I hadn't noticed anything yet, but to outsiders, my rapid movements created afterimages, ethereal and dreamlike, as if several clones were dodging simultaneously—a truly bizarre sight.

While my dodging wasn't as ethereal as Lingbo Weibu, it possessed a unique, captivating beauty. I hadn't believed I had this ability before; it seemed I needed more testing.

Garuda, firing, muttered, "Is it really that overpowered?"

Still somewhat childlike, I laughed loudly, "I am overpowered! If I can't hit you, I'll make you furious!"

Garuda roared, "This damn gun is no good! It's unfair to me! I'm getting a new one! Wait for me!"

Before I could speak, it separated, leaving a pile of sniper rifle parts on the ground. It really knew how to destroy; in the blink of an eye, it flew into a pile of scattered weapons, merged with them, and quickly produced a machine gun.

I was stunned. It had transformed into a machine gun! How could I possibly dodge it?

Garuda laughed loudly, "Let's see how you dodge this time!"

I quickly shouted, "That doesn't count! You actually switched to a machine gun, that's too much..."

Before I could finish speaking, it opened fire, a burst of fire shooting over, with a firing rate of over a thousand per minute. It wasn't firing in one direction, but rather sweeping continuously up, down, left, and right. No matter how fast my reaction was, I couldn't dodge it.

The bullets were enhanced by Garuda's special abilities, their power and speed far exceeding that of ordinary bullets. I tried my best to dodge a few times, avoiding more than a dozen bullets, but the bullets were too dense, and in the end,

I couldn't dodge them anymore. A bullet grazed my chest, its impact extremely strong. My dodging posture was already unbalanced, relying entirely on my abilities to control it. When I was hit, my momentum collapsed, and looking at the swarm of bullets rushing towards me, I immediately fell backward. Although I was in a sorry state, I had avoided most of the bullets.

Garuda shouted excitedly, "You hit it! You lost!"

Although it shouted, it continued to fire, without letting up. I used my arms to deflect most of the bullets, but many still hit me. Helplessly, I waved my hand and said, "That doesn't count. You cheated by switching guns."

Garuda laughed loudly, "Who says it doesn't count? If I hit you, you lose. You're the one cheating! You only said I couldn't use my weapon, not that I couldn't switch guns. You can't go back on your promises, let's continue."

Frustrated, I slammed my fists into the ground, straightened my body, and leaped into the air, dodging dozens of bullets. A thought struck me: I should be able to block the bullets with my Blood Barrier. As I fell, I stretched out my hand in a bullet-blocking gesture and chanted a magic incantation.

Bullets continued to hit me. Garuda shouted excitedly, "You think you can block bullets with your hand? Keep dodging if you can! You'll be good enough if you can dodge all these bullets."

Hasegawa shouted from afar, "Even if you try to dodge, you can't!"

Magical fluctuations gradually formed in front of me, and a blood-red transparent film slowly covered me. Fewer and fewer bullets hit me, and some were blocked outside the film, bouncing off in all directions. The Blood Barrier was complete; bullets could no longer penetrate it, all bouncing off the outside and landing on the ground. In a short while, I was surrounded by bullets, far more than those from other directions.

Garuda shouted, "You cheated! You used magic!"

I stretched out my hand and laughed, "You used a machine gun, so why shouldn't I use magic? How can your spear penetrate my shield now?"

Garuda, unwilling to give up, didn't stop firing; the bullets' intensity increased, and the game became increasingly exciting.

A thought struck me: my left hand had a strong suction cup, and combined with the Blood Barrier, perhaps I could fix the incoming bullets to the magical membrane. Without hesitation, I extended my left palm, revealing the suction cup.

The suction cup opened, and under my mental control, a powerful suction surged forth. The Blood Barrier, like a spiderweb, stuck all the incoming bullets in, and the momentum didn't wane; the magical membrane, carrying the bullets, rushed towards my palm.

I was alarmed; I didn't want to suck the bullets into my body—it might cause indigestion, unlike sucking living beings. I reacted quickly, using my mind to reduce the suction force. Sure enough, the speed at which the magical membrane was being pulled towards it slowed down.

As the suction force continued to weaken, the magical membrane finally stopped being pulled closer. As if it had super elasticity, it returned to its original state as my suction control gradually approached equilibrium, still with bullets stuck to it.

Garuda was stunned. After the brief burst of shooting, a metal shell made of bullets had formed on the magical barrier in front of it. If it continued firing, it might form a metal wall, and it probably wouldn't be able to see me anymore.

It stopped firing and cried out, "How could this be? What kind of magic is this?"

It was actually confused. I laughed loudly, "Keep firing."

Garuda darted out and shouted, "I need to change weapons."

I laughed, "Changing weapons won't help."

Before it could finish speaking, I froze. An anti-tank rocket launcher appeared in front of me. I was speechless and quickly added several more blood barriers. One might not be enough to stop it; it was better to be careful.

Garuda roared, "Let's see how you block this time!"

A burst of fire erupted as a rocket hurtled towards it, creating a powerful impact over a hundred meters, but it was still blocked by the Blood Barrier, stuck to it—quite comical.

It couldn't even break through one layer of the Blood Barrier; my magical power had indeed increased. Feeling reassured, I calmly watched it, beckoning with my little finger for it to come again.

Garuda cried out, "This is impossible!" Two more rockets hurtled towards it, this time with greater power, but they only broke through the first layer of the Blood Barrier, still blocked by the second, hanging on it.

Hasegawa shouted, "Boss, stop playing around! End the battle quickly!"

It wasn't up to me to decide when Garuda would stop playing; it was up to Garuda, but it really should end it.

Garuda used all its strength to fire three more rockets, but its energy was extremely weak, unable to load too much energy. Although its energy increased, it could only break through two barriers before being blocked and sucked in by the third Blood Barrier.

I chuckled, "You're low on energy right now."

Garuda separated from the rocket launcher, hovered low in the air, and called out, "I think you're quite an interesting person now. I really don't have the energy for combat. I'll play with you again later."

I played with it, and it found me interesting. Perhaps it had been lonely for millennia and longed for someone to play with. Its body was in dire need of activity, so it chose me as its target.

I chuckled, "Now try dodging my bullets and see how it goes."

Garuda chuckled, "Okay, I'm very fast. You can't hurt me."

I stretched out my left hand and used my mind to manipulate the several blood barriers blocking my way, drawing them towards me. Within reach, I reached out and picked up a bullet, chuckling, "I'll use this, okay?"

I didn't want to hurt it, so I didn't use a rocket, just a regular machine gun bullet.

Garuda laughed, "No problem, you can't hit me. I'm agile, not as clumsy as you."

I laughed, "That's not necessarily true. Be careful, are you ready?"

Garuda confidently replied, "Ready, let's begin."

I removed the Blood Barrier and the suction force of the suction cup on my left hand. The numerous bullets and rockets that were held in the suction cup bounced and landed with a whooshing sound. The bullet held in my right hand suddenly shot out.

With a hiss, a white light flashed, and the bullet instantly flew at supersonic speed. Reaching the speed of light was impossible, but it was at least much faster than the bullet fired by Garuda. My strength was immense, concentrated in a single point on my keratinized right finger—it was unimaginable.

There was no time interval between the hundred-meter distance. The bullet broke the sound barrier, accompanied by a piercing whistle, and instantly pierced Garuda's metal wings. It didn't react in time and let out a scream a moment later.

With my eyesight, I didn't even see the bullet hit its target. A flash of red light appeared instantly, as if the bullet had traveled a short distance at supersonic speed, generating a thousand-degree temperature from friction with the air, melting upon impact and injuring and burning Garuda's silver wings.

Could friction generate such heat? Perhaps my flick of the finger disrupted the molecular structure of the bullet, injecting a strange energy that caused this result. I don't understand; the body holds too many secrets, and the effects are truly astonishing.

I seem to have gone too far. I hope it's not angry, and I hope it won't affect the situation we just calmed down. Why did I use so much force? I only wanted to tease it a little, and now I've had my fun, but knowing its temper, it's probably going to get angry.

Garuda soared into the air, flapping its wings and yelling, "Damn it, you hurt me! It hurts!"

Hearing this, I felt relieved. It wasn't seriously injured; it wouldn't be so easily defeated.

Hasegawa and the others chuckled secretly in the distance, but dared not show it, fearing they might anger Garuda. Although it lacked combat energy now, the future was uncertain, and it would be difficult for us to capture it.

I laughed loudly, "That little injury is nothing."

It can absorb bullets, so it should be fine, but swallowing them wouldn't be pleasant; the bullets generated high temperatures and heat, and could very well penetrate.

Garuda cried out in a wronged tone, "Who said it's nothing? Try hitting yourself and see if it hurts."

The effect of my spear against my shield was unpredictable, and I didn't want to take the risk, so I couldn't help but laugh, "Don't be so stingy!"

Garuda cried out, "Who's stingy? I'll get my revenge on you. I'm going back to find my older brother."

It flapped its wings, turned around, and was about to fly away when I quickly called out, "Win or lose, I'll help you. If you need help, you can come to me anytime. I won't treat you as an enemy."

Garuda circled me once, then vanished like lightning, its voice echoing in the distance, "My older brother will come for you. You wait."

A flash of silver light, and it vanished without a trace. Only then did we witness its true speed—it was incredibly fast. If it wanted to run, we couldn't catch it; the power system of advanced mechanical weaponry was truly wondrous.

Judging from its current performance, it hadn't actually used its full speed before; it was just playing around. But we were exhausted. We fought from morning till afternoon—it was a truly earth-shattering and arduous battle. Although it was exhilarating, I wish it wouldn't do that again.

Seeing Garuda fly away, Hasegawa and the others finally drove up in their wrecked Hummer, creaking and groaning.

Hasegawa excitedly exclaimed, "Big brother, you're amazing! When did you master the Finger Flicking Skill and Little Li's Flying Dagger?"

I was taken aback, not understanding the specific meaning, but guessing what he meant, I laughed and said, "Impromptu."

The two girls jumped out of the car, threw themselves into my arms, and excitedly celebrated with me.

Sweet Orange, holding the cat, exclaimed, "We finally won a great victory today!"

The little black cat poked its paw out from Sweet Orange's arms and said, "This is a great victory? I wasn't even playing seriously with you guys."

I transformed back into my original form, stroked Ghost's chin, and laughed, "You always discourage me."

Hasegawa jumped out of the car, kicked the Hummer, and sighed, "This car won't last long. Three Hummers will be destroyed in less than two days. What a pity."

I patted his shoulder and laughed, "It's good enough that you're alive. But are these weapons you prepared for fighting the enemy, or for fighting us?"

Hasegawa smiled bitterly, scratched his head, and looked depressed.

I laughed, "It seems to have no effect on it at all, it's all being vented on me, so frustrating."

Sweet Orange nodded, "Exactly! It would have been better not to bring out the tank, it would have saved so much trouble."

Hasegawa laughed, "Big brother, you're having a lot of fun."

I smiled bitterly, "What's fun about it? Luckily you didn't bring out the missile, otherwise if she had bombarded me with missiles, I might not have been able to withstand it, and this place would have been turned into a desert."

Everyone nodded with lingering fear, that was quite possible.

Sweet Orange said, "This strange eagle actually has shapeshifting abilities, it can fuse and transform with various guns and cannons, it's really amazing."

Little Black Cat said, "That's not all. Besides attacking like an eagle and shooting Silverwing Bombs, it can also fuse with various weapons and armor, increasing its attack power, accuracy, and defense. If used by someone, it can absorb the user's energy to unleash energy attacks, the power of which is determined by the user's energy. If a gun is used, the gun's power, accuracy, and rate of fire will be enhanced. When the energy is sufficient, it can fire an energy cannon. The downside is that the fused weapons and armor will have increased damage."

Chapter 5 ◆ Introduction to Magic

We were extremely curious and thrilled. Garuda hasn't replenished its energy yet, it says it has only replenished one percent. Once it's fully replenished, its power is unimaginable. Even if it can't hurt me, it will be difficult for me to protect my companions. The energy cannon that Netherworld mentioned is truly terrifying and difficult to withstand.

If I could turn it into my weapon, using my own energy to launch energy attacks, it would be incredibly powerful. Just thinking about it is exhilarating. I must have it. I secretly resolved to turn it from enemy to friend as soon as possible, taking this crucial step today.

It's a real shame that the weapons and armor it has fused with will have increased damage tolerance. Their internal structures may have changed, making complete restoration difficult. There's no way around it; every advantage has its disadvantage.

I hope the Hummer, the tank, and those guns are still usable, as long as they're not completely destroyed. Otherwise, it'll be a huge loss, especially since the tank is very sturdy and shouldn't be too badly damaged. There are plenty of guns; a few broken won't matter.

We each had our own thoughts. The little black cat finally spoke some truths, proving that our kindness to it wasn't in vain. Although we dragged it into this mess today, we didn't harm it. I'm very principled and never harm the innocent, but this is mostly due to Garuda's mercy.

I pressed it about Jet, but it remained tight-lipped, refusing to say anything more. I guess it only told us these things because Garuda used its transformation ability.

Helpless, I stopped asking questions, chatted with the others for a bit, and started cleaning up the battlefield. Looking around, it was a complete mess, with small flames burning in some places – it was really unsafe.

We'd been fighting for ages, and almost a fifth of the base was destroyed, beyond repair. We could only put out the fires first, then gather what was useful. We had to collect the spare weapons and ammunition Hasegawa had brought out; the rest of the damaged items could only be left as they were – we didn't know how to repair them, and Hasegawa probably didn't have the time.

We divided the tasks: I checked the tank, Hasegawa drove the Hummer to the warehouse to get fire extinguishers, the two girls gathered the scattered weapons and ammunition, and Youming wandered around with the two girls, doing nothing.

I went inside the tank and inspected it. Protected by magic, the damage wasn't too severe; the parts that had been pierced weren't badly damaged, and the fire inside had been extinguished, so there was no danger.

After transforming, I carried the tank back to the warehouse, put it back, and restored it. Hasegawa took out the fire extinguisher and sprayed it vigorously. Then we drove to the war zone and quickly extinguished the flames everywhere.

The two women gathered some weapons and ammunition, and we helped them search. We collected the weapons that Garuda had scattered; Hasegawa would reassemble them, and they might still be usable later, but we needed to test them first—hopefully they wouldn't explode.

We loaded the weapons onto a truck and transported them back to the warehouse, taking two trips to finish.

Large sections of the base's roads were destroyed, which pained us, but there was nothing we could do but leave it as it was. I asked the two women if they wanted to see the treasure, but they weakly shook their heads. They were exhausted and had no interest in seeing Nazi treasure; they wanted to go back to the villa to rest.

We brought some water back to the villa and took turns quickly washing our soiled bodies and clothes, feeling much more relaxed and refreshed. The two women even helped Youming bathe, but Youming wouldn't let Hasegawa and me watch—such a shy mother cat!

After this battle, the two women had much more confidence in me, feeling that defeating Garuda was a piece of cake. They were very relaxed, and while bathing, they even talked about gold and jewelry, imagining how they could auction off and buy things in the real world, satisfying their female shopping urges in their fantasies, feeling that those treasures already belonged to them. As my women, they have an obligation to pay for my disposal of stolen goods.

If they bathe like this every day, the water supply might not last, but we're not in a hurry. Now that we've discovered Youming and Garuda, we're not alone here; there are at least two mysterious, advanced bases.

They must have water reserves or water purification systems, so we don't need to worry about water and food. As the little black cat said, the ocean has inexhaustible resources; we can stay here as long as we want.

Besides, there are Koruru and Andrei, whom I'm looking for. Koruru has lived here for many years; food and water aren't a problem for her. Although I don't know how she lives, she must have a way; perhaps she knows water magic.

So I let the two women relax and bathe to their hearts' content. While they bathed, Hasegawa and I discussed Garuda and our follow-up plans, but we couldn't reach a conclusion.

The villa was fully equipped. Jenny found a hairdryer and dried our hair, even drying Youming's fur—it was quite amusing. Seeing its fur standing on end, we couldn't help but laugh, and the tension vanished.

We only ate a little for breakfast and skipped lunch. We were so tense during the battle that we didn't feel it, but now everyone except me, the monster, is starving. Jenny brought out food and drinks, and we ate a simple meal. After several hours of hard work, we could eat anything, and a little wine helped relax our nerves.

The little black cat ate more than any of us; it's hard to imagine how it could have such a big belly—what a glutton!

Before, the two women would serve me, one on each side, but now, with the clever cat, they ignored me, holding the cat and feeding and drinking it from either side—it was blissful. Hasegawa and I exchanged a wry smile; women just love cute pets.

We ate fast food and discussed Garuda, but couldn't come up with a good plan. For now, we could only take it one step at a time. However, the tension between us eased somewhat, and she respected my strength. She needed my Ring of Eternity's help and wouldn't recklessly kill Hasegawa and the others. We had room for maneuver; a temporary truce was in order, but the future was uncertain. Jett would definitely come next time, and the battle would be even more intense. Subduing them wouldn't be easy, but I would do my best.

After talking for a while, although we still had no good plan, we were no longer at a loss. We would deal with whatever came our way. Everyone believed I could handle Garuda and Jett, two high-level mecha armies, but they dared not let Hasegawa make any more arrangements. If he did, the base would be destroyed.

Hasegawa smiled bitterly without saying a word.

The two women were full of confidence, gradually becoming indifferent to the danger of Garuda. Instead, they were obsessed with the Nazi treasure, discussing it with great enthusiasm. Although they were very tired now and didn't want to look at it, if the gold bricks and jewels were placed in front of them, they would probably lie down and fall asleep on them. Women are powerless against these things. Look at Hasegawa, so noble and virtuous, he loves weapons more than jewels and gold.

Sweet Orange, remembering last night's events, changed the subject and asked me about it. I didn't want to hide it from them, and since I was about to tell them, I recounted my memories of last night and the time-traveling emails.

Everyone listened intently, constantly interrupting with questions. Joseph's memories didn't particularly surprise them; they were prepared for the Nazi treasure and the vampire count's extraordinary abilities, but they were extremely astonished by the time-traveling emails, the Great Prophet, and Koruru, finding it unbelievable, yet trusting me.

The little black cat found it amusing, lying on the table, eating its food, listening with great interest.

Sweet Orange exclaimed happily, "So, Big Brother has prophetic abilities? Making money will be so much easier for us now!"

I chuckled and patted her, saying, "A warehouse full of gold bricks, and you still think you don't have enough? All you ever think about is money."

Hasegawa laughed, "You're so greedy."

Sweet Orange tossed a piece of cured meat to Hasegawa, covering his mouth, and said coquettishly, "You're such a chatterbox."

I asked Youming, "The person you were looking for earlier was Koruru, and you needed her Osafit Staff?"

Youming sipped his red wine and laughed, "Yes! I didn't expect things to turn out so coincidentally; you already knew."

Jenny laughed, "I told you not to keep it a secret."

Although the events were bizarre, everyone believed it wholeheartedly. Nothing was surprising happening to a monster like me; with me, miracles could happen anytime, anywhere.

After clarifying the details, everyone discussed for a while and decided not to go looking for Koruru and Andrei now. Youming could keep an eye on them and know where they were. Dealing with Garuda and Jet was more important.

We were already struggling against the mechanical weapons; I couldn't handle having to protect two more people. Actually, Koruru and Andrei were capable of protecting themselves. Even if they couldn't win against the advanced mechanical forces, they could survive. One was a magician with a divine artifact, and the other was a genetically mutated freak with incredible power. But I decided not to cause any unnecessary trouble; they didn't need to be involved.

We needed to stay here for a while, and we could find them in a few days. I had a feeling that Koruru might know we were here, but for some reason, she wouldn't come looking for us.

After dinner, Hasegawa, exhausted from two days and one night, went to his bedroom to catch up on sleep; otherwise, he wouldn't have the energy to fight again. The two women and the cat needed rest. Sweet Orange's physical condition wasn't as good as Hasegawa's, and after a major battle, she couldn't continue. Jenny, being a vampire, was much stronger than Sweet Orange and wasn't tired. She wanted to keep me company, but I didn't need her and advised her to rest. It wasn't night yet, so there was no need for pleasure. I wasn't a lustful maniac and couldn't waste time on women; I had other things to do. So Jenny accompanied Sweet Orange to rest, cuddling the well-fed and incredibly happy little lazy cat.

Regarding the mechanical weaponry, let's think about it during the break, brainstorm, and try to come up with a perfect solution. We can discuss it again after the break; there's no immediate danger.

I'm full of energy now, showing no signs of fatigue after the battle. The previous fight was just a warm-up for me. If I hadn't been protecting my comrades and didn't want to kill anyone, I wouldn't have fought for so long.

I don't need to rest now. I'll continue searching through Joseph's memories and learning. His memories have been a great help to me; I've gained a lot of knowledge. I want to learn the language first, which will make it easier to understand everything, and then learn some magic.

Everyone went to rest, and I sat alone on the sofa in the hall, drinking red wine and meditating with my eyes closed.

To learn the language, I need to recall my childhood. Joseph's childhood was a typical aristocratic one, living in a luxurious aristocratic castle and receiving a good education. Besides participating in some necessary activities and formalities under his parents' guidance, he learned various kinds of knowledge and vampire magic, receiving various training, but I'm only interested in the knowledge.

I didn't try to pinpoint the exact era; it's meaningless. It was probably over a hundred years ago. The various tools weren't modern; they had a classical feel and some magical decorations, possessing a unique vampire aura and magical charm.

Every detail flashed through my mind at lightning speed. In his memory, I learned German and English, experiencing the charm of aristocratic languages. This couldn't be called learning; it was more like indoctrination. This knowledge was unconsciously etched into my mind, unforgettable.

Before I knew it, I had learned German, casually uttering a few phrases with a pure accent—a truly remarkable talent. Then I learned some English, feeling somewhat tired. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day; there was no need to learn everything at once. Although my spirits were high, doing the same thing all the time would lead to boredom.

Learning languages was tedious, unlike the intense and exciting battle with Garuda, which left me breathless. I decided to finish learning it later, and instead learn some interesting magic as a break. I even learned how to flirt in German and English—how interesting! I could quickly put it to use. I blushed at such lewd thoughts.

Learning magic should start with simple spells. I lacked foundational knowledge; the spells I used before weren't systematically learned, but rather utilized mana absorption techniques, and the Blood Barrier was merely a copy. I don't understand the principles of magic, and I can't communicate with elemental spirits like Koruru.

As I understand it, ordinary people can't learn magic; knowing incantations is useless. Only races with immense power can establish spiritual connections with various elements through certain incantations.

Ordinary people don't understand the pronunciation of incantations and find it difficult to pronounce them accurately. Only I, this monster, can do it using my superhuman memory and abilities. My developed brain has resulted in incredibly strong mental power and unparalleled magical talent.

I retrieved my memories from when Joseph first learned magic, absorbing some simple magical memories to progress gradually. His magic was taught by his mother, and some came from mysterious magic books.

These memories flooded into my mind, analyzed and digested at an unimaginable speed. These are the most basic magical knowledge, not yet involving advanced magic like spatial magic. Trying to learn too much at once is futile; I don't need to rush. With Youming around, leaving this place isn't a problem. Now I need to lay the foundation for my magical level. This is a discipline that runs counter to modern science, but it still requires a solid foundation and constant practice.

After a brief understanding, I gained some basic knowledge of magic. A profound and complex magical world unfolded before me, with elements such as elemental magic, summoning magic, contract magic, and necromancy piquing my interest. These were relatively simple forms of magic; there were also various profound and strange spells, but I couldn't learn or understand them yet. I hoped to first gain some understanding of the most basic elemental magic.

"Simple" and "profound" are relative terms. Joseph also only had a superficial understanding of these spells; otherwise, he wouldn't have been so easily defeated by me.

Elemental magic refers to a magician using incantations and powerful mental strength to utilize the magic of the elemental spirits that are universally present in nature to attack enemies or defend oneself. These elements include the most basic elements such as metal, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, light, and darkness, as well as the composite elements such as clouds, fog, thunder, and lightning that evolve from their interactions. Joseph's magic consisted of simple elemental spells, using blood as a medium to form a unique vampire magic.

The stronger a mage's mental power and the more developed their brain, the better their magical effects, provided their spells are accurate. Communication with elemental spirits has several levels. As a beginner, I only understand some basics. The lowest level is borrowing elemental power to perform small spells. A slightly higher level is controlling one or more elements, but controlling multiple elements is difficult. The highest level is communicating with elemental spirits and gaining power beyond nature.

The deeper the communication with elemental spirits, the more harmonious the relationship, and the stronger the magical power gained. Mages can use items to enhance magical effects; for example, the Ring of Eternity and the Staff of Osafit are top-tier magical artifacts with immense power.

Koruru possesses an elemental heart, can freely communicate with elemental spirits, and wields the artifact Staff of Osafit, which possesses the purest elemental power in the universe—a true super magic amplifier, exceptionally gifted. In the realm of elemental magic, she is practically invincible; with elemental spirits supporting her, she is naturally invincible.

I'm a beginner. Even if I imitate others, I only know a few spells, relying mainly on my strong mental power to resonate with the elements. I can't communicate with elemental spirits yet. I'm not a magical genius like Koruru; otherwise, I would be the master of the Staff of Osafit.

Elemental magic is the best magic to learn. I need to be at least as good as Joseph. I can study other magic later; I don't have the ability now.

Starting to learn, I realized that magic is difficult to learn, much harder than I imagined. But I'm full of confidence because I have genes from a different, higher race. In a sense, I'm not a lower human, but a higher race, even far superior to lower races like vampires who inherit from higher races. Just comparing my combat strength with Joseph's is enough to draw that conclusion.

Even with poor talent, a higher race learns magic much faster than Joseph. Although he had a teacher, I didn't, but that obstacle no longer exists. I absorb his memories and abilities. Any ability he possesses, as long as I understand it, I can use it easily. Even if he doesn't have certain abilities, as long as I have the relevant knowledge in my memories, I can research and use them. The future is bright; my abilities far surpass his.

Various magical knowledge and spells entered my mind, constantly being digested and understood.

After a while, I decided to absorb this much and test it out. If it worked, I would continue later. I couldn't wait to see how my abilities and talents were. As a member of a higher race, I absolutely couldn't lose to Joseph of a lower race, even though he was dead. I couldn't help but compare myself to this most promising count of the vampires.

I picked up the crystal goblet, held it in my palm, concentrated, and silently chanted the spell. The goblet was gently lifted by a wisp of wind element, hovering above my left hand. I carefully controlled the power of the magic, and then a cluster of flames ignited fiercely around the goblet, reaching an unknown temperature. The pure crystal goblet was gradually melted, turning into a liquid sphere, hovering in mid-air.

If it suddenly fell, it might burn my hand. To be on the safe side, my left hand had mutated, so I should be fine. Even if the magic failed, the mutation would be enough to resist any magical attack. I knew the magic absorption technique.

I couldn't restore the melted crystal goblet to its original state; even if I tried to squeeze it with my hands, I couldn't recreate it. I don't have that much skill, nor that high a level of magical attainment.

The crystal glass is a valuable antique; if Sweet Orange knew it was destroyed, she'd probably be heartbroken. But since it's ruined anyway, I'll continue experimenting with magic, making use of waste.

The flames were gradually extinguished, and the crystal glass, which had melted into a sphere, gradually solidified. I held it with my mutated left hand and squeezed it back into a glass shape with my keratinized right hand. Although it didn't look good, it would be usable after cooling.

The temperature was very high, but my mutated hands felt nothing. As it cooled, I poured a glass of wine, chanted a magic incantation, and the red wine in the glass froze into small ice cubes. I raised the glass and drank it all in one gulp; it was indeed refreshing, the magic effect was truly excellent.

I increased the power of the magic, and the entire glass and the remaining red wine inside instantly froze into ice, crystal clear and very beautiful, far more solid than ordinary ice, impossible for an ordinary person to damage.

To me, its hardness was nothing; I held it with my keratinized right hand, applied a little force, and the frozen glass immediately melted into crystal ice powder, scattering all over the ground.

I can't communicate with elemental spirits right now, but I can control some basic elements. The system keeps prompting me to master certain magical skills, but I don't care; these low-level magical skills are insignificant.

These spells seem simple, but Joseph might not be able to use them as easily and skillfully as I do. Due to his limited aptitude, he might not be able to control multiple natural elements, and his mental strength is insufficient to fully utilize them, but his knowledge of the relevant elements is correct. My ability to skillfully control multiple natural elements proves that I am stronger than him, which must be due to my superior genes.

I concentrated on learning magic and didn't notice the passage of time. Now that I've made some progress, I'll rest for a while. I retract my arms, get up, and look around. It's already evening, and the sky outside is dark.

Hasegawa comes out of the bedroom, and I laugh, "You slept well so quickly?"

Hasegawa says, "I know a secret method to regulate bodily functions, so I recover quickly. I'm fine now."

He goes to the table, pours a glass of wine, drinks it, and tries to wake himself up.

I go to the bedroom to check on the two women. They're awake and getting up. They slept very well last night and recovered after a few hours of rest. I called them out, and Sweet Orange, carrying the little black cat, came out of the bedroom with Jenny.

I took Youming from me, held her in my arms, and played with her for a bit, scratching her itch—it was so much fun, making her meow.

We all sat down to chat, the two girls and I squeezing together, while Hasegawa sat opposite me, asking what I had just learned.

I gave a brief explanation, exchanging a few words with Hasegawa and Jenny in German and English.

Everyone was extremely surprised. Hasegawa exclaimed in astonishment, "Big brother learns so fast! You didn't understand the foreign language before, but now you speak it so fluently, and your pronunciation is even purer than mine! It's amazing! Even I, a language genius, didn't learn this fast."

I smiled smugly; this was the effect I wanted.

Sweet Orange laughed, "Big brother is a genius; the capable can do anything."

Jenny was even more surprised, "Master's pronunciation is so pure; I can't tell you're Chinese at all."

As a pure-blooded German, her words carried the most authority.

The little black cat scoffed in my arms, "What kind of skill is that? I can speak all languages."

I didn't dare compare myself to the clever cat, so I demonstrated some magic. Everyone was dumbfounded, while the little black cat clapped its paws and meowed.

Hasegawa sighed, "Big brother is really strong, he can even learn magic. You have to teach me sometime."

Sweet Orange chimed in, clamoring to learn.

I smiled and said, "No problem, as long as you're willing to learn, but whether you can learn it is hard to say. Magic is easier for higher races, but much harder for humans." I was really afraid of hurting their pride, after all, humans are considered a lower race.

Sweet Orange smiled bitterly, "I'll recover my powers first, don't be too ambitious."

Hasegawa understood what I meant and lamented, "When did we, the overlords of Earth, become a lower race? I will definitely find a way to upgrade and become a higher race."

Jenny laughed, "You're dreaming."

She was a vampire, and having obtained my blood, she could continuously upgrade, giving her the right to laugh at Hasegawa.

Hasegawa said, "You're so lucky to be able to keep advancing to higher races."

I laughed and said, "These are all simple spells. We'll learn more advanced spells later. Joseph is just a beginner in this area, not advanced. His brain development isn't enough, so he can't grasp some of the essence of magic."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Sweet Orange laughed and said, "Demonstrating a spell and destroying a pure crystal glass, losing so much money. Big brother, you'll have to use glass glasses for magic experiments from now on."

We laughed heartily, and the little black cat meowed, "You're so stingy."

I patted her head and said, "Your ability to control metal elements at will is probably a kind of elemental magic granted by the system that doesn't require incantations; it's controlled by thought. This explains why your parents don't have special abilities, but you do; it's definitely not hereditary."

Sweet Orange smiled and said, "That makes sense."

Chapter Six ◆ Nazi Secrets

Jenny pulled my arm and said, "Master, learn magic quickly, preferably contract magic first, to help me upgrade my contract. That way, I can benefit from it and use your magical abilities, which will definitely increase my strength."

Contract magic refers to a magician acquiring the magical abilities of a higher race or deity by signing a contract with them. Jenny and I signed a master-slave contract; as long as I agree, she can borrow my magical power.

My current magical level is far from being high enough to allow others to borrow my power. I smiled wryly and said, "No problem, but these things can't be rushed. I've only just begun."

Jenny laughed, "Master will definitely be able to do it. Sooner or later you'll become a great magician. I'm counting on you, Master."

Sweet Orange sighed, "I wish I could do that. It seems that summoning magic is very powerful. You can summon animals or plants from your own space or another space to help you, such as pets, phantom beasts, vines, and the like. It would be so much fun if I learned this magic."

Hasegawa laughed, "Maybe you could even summon undead, monsters, and demons to eat you first."

Sweet Orange pouted and said, "You're disgusting."

I laughed, "I don't have that much power right now. Don't fantasize."

Jenny laughed, "You need to have pets and a private space. Without anything, what can you summon?"

Sweet Orange shook her head in disappointment.

Hasegawa said, "Why not learn necromancy and manipulate the dead? I've heard rumors from my master about things like corpse manipulation, corpse explosion, soul extraction, and controlling undead creatures. It's fun and practical; you could get a large number of obedient death slaves that you can summon at any time."

Sweet Orange laughed, "Don't be disgusting. You have connections with the Holy See; do you want them to destroy us?"

I laughed, "That kind of magic is evil; I'm definitely not capable enough."

If I had the ability, learning it wouldn't hurt. As for the Holy See, who cares? Are higher beings afraid of them?

Jenny laughed, "That's not all. I've heard some interesting tales before. The darkest black magic is necromancy. People in the world of light say it's one of the ugliest and most repulsive forms of magic, tracing back to ancient Persia, Greece, Rome, and medieval wizards. It's divided into two branches: one that summons and controls rabbit spirits, which is more common; and the other that masters the art of bringing the dead back to life. The necromancy school usually uses altars and incantations, while the corpse school obtains the terrifying black magic they need by digging up corpses and robbing graves. I don't know the specifics."

We were chilled to the bone, trembling with fear. It was hard to imagine, but I'm getting bolder and bolder. If I had the chance, I'd really like to try it. Aren't dead people hard to find? I guess there are quite a few people here who were killed by Joseph, but it's best to be cautious. Let's learn some simple magic first.

Sweet Orange laughed, "Little Bat knows so much! I need to read more books to broaden my horizons."

Hasegawa said, "You can learn all this from books? Big Brother is so lucky to be able to absorb memories with the Star Absorbing Technique."

Jenny laughed, "Master's body is so complex. He has vampire genes and radiant golden wings, and he's not afraid of light. It's unimaginable. I'm afraid even the Vatican doesn't know what to do. They'll definitely consider Master a heretic."

I said indifferently, "I'm not afraid of them."

Hasegawa said, "Big Brother has the Eternal Ring, a divine artifact, and such great power. Of course, you don't need to be afraid."

Jenny said, "Since absorbing Master's blood, I'm no longer afraid of sunlight. Without the vampire protective aura, I feel no fear whatsoever." "I feel unwell. It's a strange feeling. Priest magic or light magic can harm vampires, such as Intense Light, Arrow of Light, and Exorcism, but now the damage to me is probably much weaker, and it might be ineffective for my master. It must be the Golden Wings that are working. The Golden Wings' healing effect is amazing. If my master learns light magic or priest magic, it will likely be twice as effective."

Everyone nodded in agreement. I smiled and said, "You're right, but we can't be too ambitious now. We must first lay a solid foundation. Elemental magic is vast and profound. I've only scratched the surface. It's very shallow. We need to master all the various elemental magic skills first."

Everyone agreed. This was the safest approach. Rushing for quick results is not the way to success.

We then talked about Garuda. After organizing our thoughts for a while, we all had some ideas. We exchanged them, and they were largely similar. We couldn't say that great minds think alike; we were just forced to come up with a solution. Although we didn't have a great plan, it was better than no plan at all.

After summarizing our findings, we devised a simple plan: maintain contact, fight, and negotiate with Garuda. We must not fear it, nor be timid or hesitant;

we must dare to fight. We will use the Ring of Eternity to lure it, preventing it from acting recklessly and causing destruction without restraint. At the very least, we must ensure the safety of our companions, and then I will conquer it with my personal strength.

I will strive for a one-on-one fight, as Hasegawa and the others are definitely no match for it and cannot help. Based on this, we will negotiate to persuade it to join us, achieving a win-win situation.

Advanced mechanized forces should respect and obey the strong. As long as I defeat them head-on, everything will be fine. I am confident in my own strength and am not afraid of fighting them one-on-one. In addition, we must ensure the safety of the base and prevent its destruction. Such large-scale destruction as today cannot be repeated; otherwise, the base is worse than nothing.

After discussing this matter, everyone felt much more relaxed and began to think about their grand plan to make money. As they chatted, the topic returned to the Nazi treasure, which the two women were particularly interested in.

I held the little black cat, scratching her occasionally, listening to them excitedly discussing their plans. I almost laughed; their thinking on this was definitely more meticulous than how to deal with advanced mechanized weaponry.

Sweet Orange wanted to use the gold reserves to open a bank—a pipe dream! Opening a bank? Did she think money alone was enough? Her suggestion was immediately rejected by everyone, leaving her utterly frustrated.

Jenny planned a large auction of top-secret documents and precious artifacts—a brilliant idea! It wouldn't cost us any money, and we could make a fortune. We had no use for those valuable documents and artifacts; we might as well sell them.

Jenny's ideas were more practical; no wonder she was a descendant of German nobility, highly educated—truly an excellent female slave. Sweet Orange's idea was ambitious, but her appetite was too big. I couldn't stand her, but there were others with even bigger appetites.

Hasegawa wants to build an aircraft carrier in the US, the most advanced nuclear-powered kind, with the most advanced carrier-based aircraft and the most practical missiles—from intercontinental to close-range, from surface-to-air to air-to-ground, from carrier-based to submarine-launched, he wants everything. What's the use of submarine-launched missiles? Of course, he also wants to buy a nuclear submarine. If all else fails, he can buy one from Russia. When he's not busy, he'll just wander around the neighborhoods of different countries, and when he's bored, he'll take the aircraft carrier on a fishing trip in the ocean.

Is that how you fish? Fishing on an aircraft carrier? I really want to kick him off the building. Is that how you spend money? You're such a spendthrift. You have so much money you don't know what to do with it. You might as well put it in the bank to earn interest; you'd get at least tens of millions in interest every year. Besides, can you really buy that kind of thing just because you have money? You might as well buy nuclear weapons; you're just dreaming.

The two women were silent for a moment, then rolled their eyes and, without saying a word, gave him the middle finger.

Interestingly, the little black cat in my arms actually joined the two women in their actions, even giving him the middle finger. But the kitten's paws were so funny that it was impossible to tell which one was the raised middle finger.

The two women and the cat were truly united. How could they not be upset when Hasegawa stole their money and cat food?

Hasegawa, who was deaf, pulled his head and managed to stammer, "Never mind, I knew it wouldn't work."

Sweet Orange said irritably, "I really want to sell you to buy an aircraft carrier, but I probably couldn't even afford the catapults."

Hasegawa muttered, "I'm the world's number one assassin, I'm not that cheap."

Jenny laughed, "You really have no self-awareness."

Hasegawa was helpless against them, his plan failed, and he gave me a silent, bitter smile.

You see how useless I am? Even if I wanted to buy an aircraft carrier, I couldn't risk it now. Besides, what's the use of buying an aircraft carrier? I don't want to fight a world war.

I interjected, "The Nazi treasure must include more than just this. We might find more in the future. How much did you know about Nazi treasure before?"

Jenny eagerly replied, "Master, I know some. Towards the end of World War II, as the Third Reich collapsed, the Nazi authorities hastily hid the wealth looted during the war and some secret documents, triggering a mysterious treasure hunt after the war, but all ended in tragedy."

Sweet Orange said, "That's not necessarily true. Joseph found the treasure, but perhaps it was already divided up."

I explained, "Joseph was able to find the treasure because he served in the German army and had contact with some secret departments. But such people are extremely rare. Otherwise, it would have been impossible for him to find this treasure."

Jenny added, "His special abilities allow him to do things that ordinary people cannot."

Hasegawa said, "That's true. He might have found the treasure..." "The treasure has been unearthed."

Jenny said, "It's said that most of the Nazi treasure is hidden in the Austrian Alps, the Toplitz Lake District, the area around Gasstein and Salzburg, or around the small town of Auschwitz."

Hasegawa said, "These areas have seen bizarre murders after the war, seemingly related to the search for Nazi treasure. It's very mysterious. But even now, the quantity and location of the Nazi treasure remain unclear."

Jenny said, "Perhaps Joseph killed those people and got the treasure."

Sweet Orange laughed, "Brother, recalling Joseph's memories will surely reveal the truth and uncover some interesting things. Based on those memories, Brother, write a novel or documentary about Nazi treasure, translate it into multiple languages, and distribute it worldwide. It will definitely become a bestseller."

She really had a sudden inspiration. Could someone as uncultured as me publish a book?

Hasegawa and Jenny unanimously agreed and were very interested in the suggestion. Thinking about it carefully, it was indeed quite feasible. I could find someone to help me; I just needed to provide the memories.

Publishing a book is incredibly tempting for an illiterate like me. Making money is secondary; I want to be a monster with cultured taste.

Seeing my hesitation, Sweet Orange continued, "Let's open a publishing house. We can make a lot of money, and you can become a famous author. We'll also open a film company, the Hollywood kind, adapt novels into screenplays, hire big directors—the likes of Spielberg and James Cameron—and invest at least a hundred million dollars. We'll act as the actors, creating plots like Indiana Jones, scenes like Star Wars, special effects like The Matrix, the mystery of The Da Vinci Code, and some Japanese horror elements. Haha, we'll become famous overnight, global superstars!"

Everyone was speechless, stunned by the prospect Sweet Orange described.

I hugged Youming and patted her head with my kitten paw. "Are you running a fever?"

Becoming a famous author is indeed exciting, and it's definitely my wish, but the subsequent ideas are so far-fetched that I'm a little overwhelmed.

Jenny laughed, "Sister Orange is right. We have money now, so this can be easily done."

Hasegawa raised his hand in agreement, "The idea is very interesting. I can play the role of an assassin."

Everyone agreed with Sweet Orange's crazy plan, and I could only support it, laughing, "We'll deal with these things when we get back. We will succeed. Now we should recall the events. I will tell you the scenes from my memory."

Everyone stopped bothering me and sat quietly, listening to my recollection.

I directed my memory to the section related to Nazi treasure, automatically controlled by my will, as if my brain had an automatic retrieval system, quickly finding all the relevant information. I read this information in my mind and told everyone.

Joseph obtained the Nazi treasure from the Austrian region that Jenny had just mentioned, and used magic to send it here. The main locations were the Toplitz Lakes region and the Alps, with some gold bars, jewelry, and famous paintings in other places.

He also obtained a shipload of treasure looted from Jews from the seabed of the port of Karamay in the southwestern Peloponnese peninsula of Greece, including gold bars and jewelry, worth about two billion US dollars, according to his estimate.

The process of retrieving the treasure is extremely difficult for ordinary people; without special abilities, it is extremely difficult to retrieve the treasure. Scenes flashed through my mind: near Bad Osset, 60 kilometers southeast of Salzburg, Austria, lay a mountainous region of rugged rocks and dense pine forests. Lake Toplitz, known as the Black Pearl of Styria, was located there. This unassuming little reservoir, originally a salt mine, was about 2,000 meters long and less than 400 meters wide, yet incredibly deep, reaching a depth of 103 meters.

The treacherous mountain paths and the various terrifying tales surrounding it over the past sixty years have deterred many travelers, though most only wished to glance at it out of curiosity.

Just 70 meters from the lakeshore, on the cliff face surrounding the lake, was the entrance to an underground warehouse, seemingly the lair of a bat demon. The rocks sealing the entrance couldn't stop the powerful Joseph.

Joseph transformed into a bat, flew into the cave, and darted through the tunnels into a large, man-made cavern containing vast treasures and boxes labeled "Explosives." I remember very clearly that this place was called Ali Baba's Cave, though I didn't know the meaning.

Joseph used magic to transfer the treasure, then flew out and blew up the entrance with explosives, all without anyone noticing. Otherwise, it would be impossible to secretly transport such a large amount of treasure; only vampire magic could do this. No one else could enter the warehouse through that entrance again.

He used this method to seize vast amounts of treasure, and other treasure locations were no problem for him. As long as the location was known, the treasure would be swept away; mountains and lakebeds were no obstacle.

He even found the treasure in the sunken ship at the bottom of the sea using advanced vampire technology and then used his extraordinary abilities to magically remove it from the seabed—a truly miraculous feat. At that time, he was a vampire count, possessing astonishing abilities. He traversed mountains and rivers, searching for hidden treasures until he had obtained everything he desired.

His actions were extremely ruthless; he deliberately left some tunnels unburied, blocking the way to the treasure's location, and even laid landmines inside. Any explorers who entered would be blown to pieces and buried alive.

My memory is limited; I don't know if such a scene actually occurred.

After I finished telling this story, everyone gasped, lamenting Joseph's insidious and vicious nature. It's a miracle he died at my hands. Could it be that Heaven used me to punish the wicked?

Jenny sighed, "I see. If the master hadn't absorbed his memories, the truth would have been buried. I heard that in 1985, a Salzburg engineering detachment attempted to enter the underground tunnels at the bottom of the lake from the densely forested southern shore. An accident occurred, and all exploration activities were quickly halted. What's in Ali Baba's cave remains a mystery."

Hasegawa said, "Those people must have been killed in the explosion."

Jenny nodded, "Since then, no one has dared to try searching for treasure in Lake Toplitz. For more than half a century, people have proven with their lives that uncovering the historical secrets of the deep Lake Toplitz is no easy task."

Hasegawa said, "The wealth stored here must be the largest part. No wonder so many people have searched for treasure but found nothing and lost their lives. It turns out that Joseph beat them to it."

Jenny laughed, "He's very secretive; I didn't know any of this. In the past, the US organized salvage expeditions, and some companies even attempted to seize the treasure. They were all very powerful, using high-tech cameras, sonar navigation, and robots to search the lakebed inch by inch, but they only obtained very little data. They found some counterfeit money and old ammunition; gold coins and other treasures were rarely found. Only the lucky ones got them."

It seems Joseph didn't consider Jenny a confidante, but merely a sex slave and mistress.

A memory flashed back: during the war, a group of prisoners were transported to Lake Toplitz to build underground works. These prisoners dug horizontal tunnels and some entrances underwater—this was where Joseph retrieved the treasure.

Joseph was one of the soldiers in the group. At that time, the Nazis were on the verge of defeat, but he hadn't yet retired. He had probably just recovered from injuries sustained fighting Andrei on the Soviet front and was sent here to supervise the construction. He was really lucky; otherwise, he wouldn't have had access to these secrets.

Before the end of World War II, his memory was vivid. In April 1945, fully armed Nazi SS troops blocked all roads near Lake Toplitz, sinking large white metal crates marked "Reich Transport" into the lake. These crates contained vast amounts of gold, jewels, artifacts, and top-secret documents looted from various European countries.

Nazi soldiers hid treasures in four lakes in Austria, blasting open caves in the rocks along the shore, hiding priceless treasures inside, sealing the entrances, or packing valuables into specially made crates and sinking them to the bottom of the lake hundreds of meters deep.

Joseph personally participated, knew the locations, and could use his abilities to retrieve the treasures.

He also remembered scenes of high-level secret meetings—meetings he wasn't qualified to attend—using special methods to spy on and eavesdrop, as he had long been interested in these treasures. He also remembered the scenes of gold ingots, coins, jewels, and pounds being loaded onto trucks and transported away.

The others listened and discussed with great interest. Sweet Orange didn't understand why there were pounds sterling. Paper money is difficult to preserve and hard to store as treasure; wouldn't it be a pity to destroy it?

Jenny explained, "Those are counterfeit coins. Nazi Germany printed large amounts of counterfeit money to disrupt the financial order of enemy countries. The methods were despicable and insidious, and they still apply today."

Hasegawa said, "We didn't find any counterfeit coins today, so they might not be in those two underground warehouses. There must be other underground warehouses. Those counterfeit coins also have value and use; Joseph wouldn't throw them away."

I nodded and said, "We'll look carefully later."

Jenny said, "There's something important I forgot to mention. The most precious treasure isn't the discovered gold and jewelry, nor is it the undiscovered large amounts of Imperial banknotes and foreign currency counterfeits. In the boxes in the underground warehouses, besides gold, platinum, and jewelry, there are many foreign stocks and secret Swiss bank accounts hidden among those precious top-secret documents. Swiss banks still hold the wealth looted by the Nazis. Now they are ours, and their value is no less than the Nazi treasure here."

I couldn't imagine how much money there was; it was national plunder, incalculable.

Hasegawa exclaimed excitedly, "You're really astute! These are tangible assets, and among them must be some secrets the Third Reich doesn't want to reveal. These intangible assets are even more valuable."

Jenny nodded, "That's right. These top-secret documents include files from the Third Reich's Security Directorate, rosters of concentration camp prisoners, lists of spies from German secret agencies, and project files detailing the orders these individuals participated in."

Hasegawa continued, "Many of these people were law-abiding citizens in their respective countries after the war, infiltrating government, parliament, prominent banks, and company boards. They may be dead now, but their descendants still exist."

Jenny added, "These people possess enormous plundered wealth and certainly wouldn't want these secrets to be made public. In some key departments in Austria, many people don't want these secrets to be revealed."

I understood she was implying behind-the-scenes financial transactions; these people were either bribed or had problems themselves.

Sweet Orange interjected, "So we can blackmail them."

Hasegawa snapped his fingers, "Absolutely right. To get these secret documents, they'll stop at nothing, they'll pay any price, and they'll have to pay."

Jenny said, "They don't want to expose their family's dirty laundry. If people knew their ancestors did these sordid things, their political future would be over, and they'd face the wrath of the Jewish assassin organization." Hasegawa laughed

, "This is their money to buy their lives; we can make a fortune."

Sweet Orange said, "We can sell the information to the Jewish assassin organization and make a profit."

Hasegawa waved his hand, "We can't make money from both sides; that would be displeasing to both. I'm an assassin; I know the rules. I have no liking for those cunning and greedy Jews; there's no need for me to help them."

I nodded, "That's true. We take money and do the work; our reputation will make us more money. We don't need to worry about that small amount."

Sweet Orange nodded, "You're right."

I asked doubtfully, "Those people are powerful and influential; if they know the truth, they'll..." "They'll kill to silence witnesses, they'll use violence, they won't just

hand over the money obediently." Hasegawa laughed, "We're afraid of violence? We'll make an example of them."

Jenny said, "If anyone is ignorant and refuses to pay, we'll release their family information, ruin their reputation, let the Jewish assassin organization cause trouble, and leave them with nothing. When others see the result, they'll naturally pay obediently. If they come to kill us, Master can recruit more people."

Hasegawa laughed, "Nothing is more poisonous than a woman's heart, you're really ruthless."

Jenny laughed, "I'm just speaking your mind."

Hasegawa said, "We can auction these documents publicly on the black market, let them and the Jews fight tooth and nail to buy them, whoever has the money gets them, that'll be more fun."

I laughed, "Let's decide on that, we'll do it when we get back. It's a pity Joseph didn't use these things."

Jenny laughed, "He has a career, he has more money than he can spend, he doesn't need to use these things. He has time to study magic and the secrets of the realm, he probably hasn't seen these top-secret documents."

Sweet Orange laughed, "So it's a bargain for us."
