Chapter 1 ◆ Blue-Winged Bat Demon

The previous battle was just a piece of cake; the real show was just beginning, and I felt a surge of excitement.

Joseph roared, "I did miscalculate, but I won't give you another chance." Before he finished speaking, his tattered clothes suddenly exploded, flying in all directions. A cloud of black mist suddenly erupted, enveloping him and obscuring his figure.

Sweet Orange shouted from afar, "He's going to turn into a bat! Big brother, be careful!"

Hasegawa shouted, "Eat him!"

He was so decisive, just what I wanted. My mouth started to water; I was drooling. Eating this kind of wild animal wasn't illegal, but I couldn't eat it raw. I had to use the Star Absorption Technique. Although it wouldn't taste good, as long as it increased my energy and knowledge, that would be fine. It would be great if the suction cup on my left hand had taste buds, but actually, it's better that way. What I absorb might not taste good, and I can't add seasoning on the spot.

The black mist gradually dissipated, revealing the bat's true form: a black body with blue wings, glaring red eyes, large, erect ears, and a small mouth revealing sharp teeth. It flapped its wings directly at us, its eyes gleaming.

Bats have poor eyesight and rely on echolocation by emitting and retrieving ultrasonic waves. I wonder what this vampire bat is like. The vampire count is clearly not comparable to an ordinary bat; his abilities cannot be measured by the standards of a typical bat.

Sweet Orange exclaimed, "What a huge bat!"

I almost burst out laughing, wondering what Joseph would think. He should be able to talk. I wanted to see where I had kicked him, but I couldn't find it. Perhaps it was too small; had I kicked it away? How do bats use that thing?

Jenny stood to the side, her face filled with worry, watching Joseph in the air.

He really could speak, flapping his wings and grinning sinisterly, "Seeing my appearance, are you afraid?"

The internal structure of a bat should be different from a human's; how could he speak? Was it just an illusion? I didn't understand, just like I didn't understand magic, but you shouldn't overthink things you don't understand. His words were truly amusing. I'm even more terrifying after my mutation; why would I be afraid of him? Sweet Orange and Hasegawa had seen what I looked like before, so they weren't afraid. They probably viewed me with admiration. I wondered if they'd ever seen a bat before; even if they had, it certainly wasn't a vampire count transformed into one. It was quite an aesthetically pleasing

Sweet Orange shouted, "Who's afraid of you? Don't flatter yourself. I've seen things far more terrifying than you."

Fortunately, she only found it terrifying, not ugly.

Joseph angrily flapped his wings and yelled, "What did you say?"

Afraid she'd reveal something, I quickly gestured for her to shut up and continued, "How could this scare me? It's ridiculous. It's just a talking bat."

Joseph chuckled, "You think that about me? You idiot."

I laughed loudly, "Anyway, I successfully defeated the vampire count. I'm very proud of that."

Joseph sneered, "You defeated me? You're joking. Didn't you see what I look like now?"

He didn't understand the meaning behind my words, but Sweet Orange and Hasegawa certainly did. They knew my mutated abilities and stopped shouting, clearly relieved. Since the opponent is in bat form, I certainly won't fight the monster with my original form and low-level methods. The subsequent battle will be more bloody, but easier for me.

I laughed and said, "What's the use of you turning into a bat? You're physically weak. Besides being able to fly and talk, what else is special about you? What makes you think you can attack me? With your wings?"

Joseph said, "You're right, that poses no threat to you, but you forgot I have the Ring of Eternity. I need to borrow its power, and you're forcing me to use it."

The bat was indeed wearing the Ring of Eternity, a vampire treasure full of eerie charm, on its claws. What was its use?

Joseph roared, "With my current abilities, I can't use its full power, but using a portion is enough. It will amplify my power."

Sweet Orange interjected, "Will it turn into Batman?"

Joseph laughed loudly, "You guessed wrong, it's Bat Demon."

He chanted a spell, and the Ring of Eternity suddenly burst out with a dazzling red light, enveloping the bat's entire body, as if bathed in blood in the wind, full of demonic charm. We stared in disbelief, holding our breath, wondering what astonishing transformation the bat would undergo.

Within the red light, the bat's body gradually swelled, its short claws expanding violently to regenerate human hands and feet, far more powerful than before. Its head swelled and deformed, forming a human head, its facial muscles twisted and grotesque, utterly terrifying, a stark contrast to its previous gentle appearance. Then

it transformed back into human form, as if reborn, different from before. Not only was its body stronger and its appearance drastically changed, but it also possessed bat wings on its back, hovering in mid-air. We, being experienced and knowledgeable, had anticipated this, and although we were shocked, we didn't show surprise; Sweet Orange didn't scream either. Its genitals were indeed a bloody mess, and I chuckled inwardly.

The red light vanished, and Joseph, soaring through the air, flapped his wings and roared, "Aren't you surprised?"

I coldly retorted, "If you want to surprise us, then show us your true power."

Joseph laughed loudly, "I'll let you taste what 1000% gravity and 1000% fear feel like, and then reduce your agility by 1000%. This is the true power of my form."

He chanted the terrifying incantation again, and as I prepared to mutate, not wanting to fight the bat demon with my physical body, I suddenly felt an immense pressure, like Mount Tai pressing down on me, as if binding me to the spot, unable to move at all, my agility almost reduced to zero. The surrounding space almost distorted, as if countless demonic rabbits with sharp teeth and scarlet tongues were pouncing on me, ready to devour me. Fear was transmitted through my mind, causing excruciating pain in my brain. If it weren't for my previous experience, I probably would have collapsed on the spot, unable to extricate myself.

I now have some resistance to magic and won't suddenly collapse. If he slowly increases the power of the magic, I can gradually resist it, but this time he increased it too much, and I couldn't recover in time, making it difficult to move.

If given time, I could slowly eliminate the magical elements and succeed, but he wouldn't give me that chance. In my current form, I'm no match for the bat demon; I must mutate immediately.

I stopped forcing myself to expel the magical elements and focused entirely on controlling the mutation.

I wanted to surprise my opponent by not mutating prematurely. Previously, I had been severely injured and sensed the mutation would occur automatically, which I suppressed with all my might. Now, controlling it with my mind, the mutation would be much easier and wouldn't take as long as before.

This mutation was different from the past. The brain was attacked first, and the mutation began within it, as if a small universe exploded within my brain, instantly destroying and regenerating, devouring all magical elements, or like a ten-million-ton mental nuclear bomb exploding within my brain, instantly wiping everything away.

I felt incredibly joyful and relaxed, ecstatic. Gravity couldn't restrain me in the slightest; I recovered swiftly, and the terrifying scenes in my brain were instantly swept away by the nuclear-like shockwave, leaving no trace. All the images flashed through my mind like movie clips, reaching a peak of exhilaration. I truly felt the power of my mind, and my confidence in victory grew stronger. The vampire count was nothing to me. I controlled the mental storm within my brain, temporarily halting the mutation, to see what he could do next.

Sweet Orange called out anxiously from afar, "Big brother, how is it?"

I gave her a reassurance gesture, and Sweet Orange and Hasegawa were overjoyed.

Joseph, oblivious to my change in demeanor, laughed loudly, "How will you escape this time? I won't give you a chance to breathe. I'll pierce your anus with Blood Ground Spikes, bind you with Blood Thorns, tear you to pieces with Blood Wind Blades, and forge your genitals with Hellfire. Only then can I vent my anger. Tremble with fear!"
I didn't tremble, but a chill ran down my spine. He was too vicious. All I did was kick his genitals, was it really necessary to retaliate like this? Could it be that the bat's eyesight was really bad? Couldn't he see how relaxed I was now?

Seeing my silence, Joseph assumed I was powerless and laughed loudly, "Now I'll send you on your way."

A string of blood beads suddenly appeared in his hand and shot towards me, while he chanted a spell. Part of the blood beads transformed into several blood blades, slashing towards my upper body, while the other part turned into raging flames, burning my lower body—a vicious attack from both above and below.

He actually burned me there! How perverted! I was already in agony from his previous burns and dared not be burned again, especially since it would be so unsightly and excruciating. I didn't want to end up like him.

As the blood blades and flames attacked, thorns surged towards me from all sides, and spikes were about to erupt from the ground beneath my feet. These were all fleeting sensations; with my current keen intuition, I had everything under control.

This time, I didn't want to force my way through the thorns and end up covered in blood. Not daring to delay for a moment, I suddenly leaped to the side, several blood-red blades and flames grazing past me. Luckily, my strength had increased, and I jumped high enough that the ground spikes burst forth the instant I leaped, narrowly escaping death. In an instant, the blood-red blades and flames blasted craters into the thorny ground, scorching and burning everything. More blood-red blades and flames followed, relentlessly pursuing me like precision-guided missiles. I was in the air, plummeting at high speed, and hadn't completely avoided the danger. Just

as I was about to mutate and destroy them to avoid further trouble, a dark shadow flashed before my eyes. I was suddenly lifted up, grabbed by Joseph, who resembled a bat demon, with his two sharp claws, and carried high into the air. The pursuing blood-red blades and flames immediately lost their aim.

He finally made his move, his blood-red eyes fixed on me, and said sinisterly, "I will tear you apart."

My shoulders were bleeding profusely from his grip, but I didn't care; the mutation would heal them. This was the opportunity I'd been waiting for. I released my energy instantly, and before he could even make a move, he suddenly mutated, shouting, "That's not necessarily true!"

I had been holding back for a long time; the mutation was incredibly fast and unexpected. In the blink of an eye, my left hand transformed into scales and blades, my right hand into keratin, my chest and back into armor, my head into a demon, my legs into steel, and my back into wings—all completed. Bone spikes shot out, tearing through my clothes, and my eyes released a red light, redder than a bat's eyes, filled with murderous intent. This was my true strength. The wounds he had inflicted earlier healed instantly; with his strength, he couldn't do anything to me.

Joseph was startled by the mutation and tried to tear at me, but it was futile. He still held on to me, exclaiming in surprise, "How could this be?" I

sneered, "Only you

can transform? Take this punch!" My keratinized right fist, combined with a spiraling force, delivered a right hook from below, the diamond-like force of which struck his jaw, sending his massive body flying into the air. He could no longer hold me and soared hundreds of meters into the sky.

If he hadn't absorbed the power of the Ring of Eternity, I could have pulverized him with a single punch.

Joseph screamed in agony, his hands gripping me, unable to block. Even if he had, he wouldn't have been able to, especially since he was so shocked that he forgot to block. Below, Sweet Orange and Hasegawa cheered loudly, while Jenny cried out in astonishment.

The instant Joseph broke free from me, I flapped my wings, soared into the air, and delivered another spiraling right hook. I was quite dissatisfied that I hadn't heard his jawbone crack earlier, so this Diamond Vajra Fist blasted him hundreds of meters into the air again, but his jaw was incredibly sturdy; it hadn't broken yet.

I wanted to play with him a bit more, so I held back. If I had used my left-hand hook blade, I would have pierced several holes in him long ago.

Joseph was powerless to retaliate, being brutally beaten through the air by me. He probably hadn't recovered from the shock yet.

My first punch was sure to make him dizzy, so I pressed on, continuing to ascend, delivering a three-hit combo. The final punch sent him hundreds of meters into the air again, dislocating his jaw once more.

From this height, I could clearly hear the shouts of the crowd below. Joseph, however, was probably struggling to hear them, likely suffering from tinnitus and a dazed state, unable to control his wings properly. Reaching his peak, he plummeted downwards.

I lightly flapped my wings, hovering motionless in the air. When he reached my height, I suddenly delivered a powerful kick to his stomach, sending him hurtling towards the ground. I yelled, "I'll send you on your way!"

I spread my wings, my body gliding down, intending to deliver the final blow with the bone spikes on my knees.

With a thud, Joseph crashed to the ground, landing squarely in a pile of thorns he had laid, creating a large, human-shaped crater. Fortunately, his body was very sturdy, and he wasn't bleeding from the thorns.

Quite by chance, the thorn protruded from his groin, but since that area was damaged, it didn't matter if he was injured. He was lucky; if he had fallen slightly off-center, he would have been impaled by the thorns he himself had created—he truly harmed himself and others.

Sweet Orange and the others gasped at the sight.

I bent my knee, extending the bone spikes, and descended from the sky, crashing into Joseph on the ground. If the attack landed, he would be half-dead, if not killed. But as I fell to a certain height, the blood blades and flames, which had previously lost their direction, seemed to suddenly find their target and chased after me.

I was confident that I could completely withstand the attack after my mutation, so I wasn't in a hurry to kill Joseph; I would absorb him later. He was almost unconscious now and couldn't escape. I just needed to prevent him from finishing his incantation, which I was perfectly capable of doing. Now, I would try to extinguish the blood blades and flames to test my strength. I flapped my wings in mid-air, stopped abruptly, and changed direction, advancing instead of retreating to meet the oncoming blood blades and flames. My demonic armor rippled, but I didn't understand why and didn't notice.

My reaction speed after the mutation was incomparable to before. Now, these things couldn't hurt me at all. As long as I dodged, they couldn't even touch a hair on my head. With my agility, they were too slow, like the feeling I had when I caught Hasegawa's bullets.

The blood blades flew towards me, and with two thuds of my keratinized right fist, I smashed them to pieces, scattering blood and foam that drifted through the air and vanished without a trace. I was unharmed, easily dispersing the magical elements and destroying the blood blades. The flames reached me; I simply exhaled, extinguishing them instantly—it was so easy. Having cleared the way, I continued my descent, preparing to deal with Joseph. Joseph had taken the opportunity to climb out of the pit, somewhat lucid. He rubbed his healed chin, standing and panting. Although injured, he still had the ability to fight.

The Vampire Eternal Ring was truly a treasure, making him so powerful.

If I were to seize it and utilize it, I wonder what changes it would bring. I'm determined to take it today. Although he was powerful, he couldn't withstand my overwhelming attack. He was already injured, and I hadn't even used my full strength yet.

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa had already distanced themselves. With Hasegawa taking care of Sweet Orange, I felt more at ease; at least some ferocious beasts couldn't harm her. Hasegawa was an assassin; he should be very careful.

The open space was quite spacious, and although it hadn't been artificially prepared, it was perfect for fighting. However, after fighting for a while, not a single wild animal came near, which was strange. It was as if there was some kind of restriction; perhaps ordinary beasts dared not provoke our group of fierce people.

Although I was in the air, dealing with Blood Blade and Flame, I kept a close eye on Joseph, never letting my guard down or neglecting Sweet Orange, and certainly not allowing him to escape with his curse. Joseph hadn't attacked Hasegawa and Sweet Orange earlier, so I didn't press too hard or rush into an attack. I gently floated down from the air; he was now my prey.

Joseph asked incredulously, "What's going on?"

I laughed, "Surprised? There are so many strange things in the world."

Joseph said, "Are you a biological weapon, genetic weapon, or some other monster researched by China? Are you and Andrei the same kind of person?"

I shrugged and said, "I don't know. You're asking me? Who should I ask? I just need to defeat you. I'm surprised you can really take a beating. You're one of the best vampires, surviving all this."

Joseph's face twisted in anger as he said, "Dirty genetic weapon!" " How can you compare to a noble and elegant vampire count like me? You are indeed strong, far exceeding my expectations, but that doesn't mean you can kill me. A vampire count possessing the Ring of Eternity is not easily killed."

I sneered, "How arrogant! You've been beaten like this by me, and you still dare to boast. You used every trick in the book, gaining the upper hand, yet you couldn't kill me. I'm not as stupid as you. The Ring of Eternity is a waste in your hands; you can't unleash its power at all, tarnishing a divine artifact. Since you're not convinced, I'll help you loosen up."

I charged forward, delivering a devastating knee strike with incredible speed and power, far exceeding my pre-mutation form. The bone spurs on my knee were the most threatening feature. Joseph couldn't react in time and could only instinctively try to block with his arms—a foolish move. The bone spurs pierced through him instantly, blood gushing out, and the subsequent impact sent him flying backward. He clutched his injured arm, letting out a miserable howl, his wings barely managing to keep him from falling.

I gave him no chance to catch his breath, instantly leaping forward, my wings flapping wildly. Driven by the powerful airflow, I moved with lightning speed and eagle-like ferocity, my feet barely touching the ground, relying solely on my wings to reach him in an instant. I unleashed a barrage of knee strikes from below, followed by a flurry of punches and elbows from above, while my wings flapped behind me, unleashing bone spurs, elbow blades, and hooks—a relentless barrage that left him overwhelmed.

Joseph, still reeling from the attack, had no idea how to defend himself against the bone spurs. He dared not meet my knee strikes, for that would be suicidal, but allowing me to attack would only lead to his death. He retreated, unable to match the speed of my flapping wings, and even less able to block my elbow blades and hooks from above. He was utterly helpless. As he hesitated, my attacks repeatedly succeeded. Blood splattered everywhere in the narrow space between us, making a splattering sound, like sharp knives piercing a ball, all the blood flowing out was his.

Several knee strikes hit his left and right ribs, sharp bone spurs instantly piercing several holes. The enormous impact was unbearable for him. Although his ribs were not broken, they were nearly broken, and he was seriously injured.

Elbow blades slashed several wounds on his upper body, while the hook blade in my left hand pierced deep into his side, twisting and turning relentlessly, causing him unbearable pain and constant screams. My right Diamond Vajra Fist pounded his head and chest, beating him until he looked like a swollen eggplant or a rotten tomato, constantly oozing red juice.

He was now completely powerless to fight back, unable to defend himself, and in the blink of an eye, he was riddled with wounds and covered in injuries. He could only rely on his strong physique to endure the beating, and it was unknown how long he could last. Judging from his ugly face, he was in great pain, but I was extremely happy. It felt so good to torture a bat.

If it weren't for the fact that vampires have self-regenerative abilities, he would have been dead long ago after being beaten like this.

In the distance, Sweet Orange and Hasegawa were excitedly howling and cheering, jumping and leaping with joy.

Jenny's face was quite ugly. Her master was being beaten, but she dared not go forward to help. She couldn't help at all, and she might be disfigured. Besides, Hasegawa was watching her closely and wouldn't let her interfere.

Joseph was covered in blood, but his endurance was indeed strong. He could still endure it. Under the effect of the Ring of Eternity, his healing ability was very strong, and his wounds gradually healed, preventing him from bleeding to death long ago.

However, his healing ability was not as strong as mine, so he couldn't exert the full effect of the Ring of Eternity.

I reckon few people besides me could beat him like this, given he possesses the Ring of Eternity.

I laughed maniacally as I punched him, yelling, "How's it going? Enjoying being stabbed, huh? Feeling good being penetrated, huh?"

Sweet Orange giggled in the distance, perhaps having some inappropriate thoughts.

Joseph, like an unkillable mantis, swayed constantly amidst my relentless barrage of attacks.

Finally, I knocked him to the ground with a powerful right punch, then kicked him away.

Using the force of my kick, he suddenly spread his wings and soared into the air, still conscious—a rare sight indeed. He looked utterly pathetic, probably thinking that only by flying could he contend with me; a direct confrontation on the ground was utterly useless. But in the air, he was no match. Having already been knocked down once, his confidence was probably on the verge of collapse. I had to be wary of him escaping.

He circled, his left elbow slamming into the top of my head. I ignored his attack, wanting to toy with him, and lightly flapped my wings, dodging to the side. He flapped his wings wildly, rapidly closing in, and kicked the side of my head repeatedly.

I didn't dodge. I grabbed his kicking foot and pulled him down. As he fell, I leaped up and delivered a powerful elbow strike to his chest, the blade leaving a deep wound. Then I slammed my foot into his abdomen, sending him sprawling to the ground like a lump of mud.

I sneered, "Use whatever magic you have."

As long as he didn't use a spatial spell to escape, I let him do whatever he wanted. A vampire count was nothing special; I'd toy with him to death.

Joseph stood up, clutching his stomach, looking at me like I was a monster.

I sneered, "Don't bother with your pressure spell, it won't work on me."

Joseph scoffed, "You want to play me?"

I nodded, "I'm going to play you. You brought me here, wasn't it to play me? So you can play me, but I can't play you? If you don't want me to play you to death, use all your skills."

Joseph glared at me coldly, clutching his wound, slowly retreating, and said coldly, "You're too arrogant, don't regret it."

He was no match for me in close combat, so he could only attack from a distance, chanting a spell from a distance. With my exceptional memory, I recognized it wasn't the spell used to teleport me; it sounded like the Blood Blade spell. He indeed didn't use pressure spells, knowing it was ineffective; his previous all-out effort hadn't been able to trap me. He was truly at his wit's end; with his strength, he probably couldn't use any stronger magic. He wasn't a direct descendant of the Tremere clan, so he couldn't possibly possess very powerful magic, otherwise I'd be in real trouble.

I said dismissively, "Don't you know any other magic? Are you just hoarding your own? I want to see more."

Joseph's face turned pale, then flushed, and he roared, "I'll fight you to the death!"

Blood gushed from his wound, but he suddenly swung his hand, and several blood blades instantly materialized, shooting towards me like lightning.

I was somewhat disappointed. With my strength, I could easily shatter the blood blades as before. Just as I was about to make a move, I suddenly felt a throbbing sensation in my chest again, just like before.

Chapter Two ◆ The Magic Absorption Technique

In a flash, I didn't make a move, wondering why my chest was reacting like this. It seemed I wanted to test the feeling of being hit by a blood blade. I decided to take a bold risk. Time flew by, and in my hesitation, the blood blade struck my chest. Joseph didn't cheer, but instead let out a cry of surprise.

I was even more surprised. Being hit by the blood blade felt no pain, but rather quite comfortable. Looking down, the monster head relief on my chest armor seemed to have come alive, constantly writhing, its mouth opening and closing, its eyes gleaming. This scene not only frightened Joseph but also startled me. I reached out and touched it; I felt nothing special, it was still my body.

Joseph exclaimed, "What is that?"

I shrugged and said, "How would I know? Keep attacking, I'll try again."

I planned to test the mutated ability; wouldn't it be foolish not to fully utilize such a person? Without a word, Joseph chanted a spell, and another string of blood blades came flying.

This time I saw it clearly: as the blood blades struck, the monster relief on my chest suddenly opened its mouth, generating an extremely strong suction force, swallowing the string of blood blades as food and absorbing them into its body. No wonder it felt so good.

What's the use of this? I didn't understand. There are too many secrets about the body; I know far too little, only a tiny fraction. Even the researchers who created it probably don't fully understand it.

How can this ability be fully explored? It's a long and arduous task. I don't know how to control the monster relief, nor do I know what its ability is, but the monster relief's face seemed to show a satisfied smile.

Joseph was extremely shocked and said, "You're a monster! You're not afraid of vampire magic at all."

I said confidently, "Try again."

Joseph chanted a spell, and a string of flames shot out. I didn't flinch. The flames shot towards me, and the monster opened its mouth again, sucking the flames into its body.

I felt warm and incredibly comfortable. Could it be that the mutation granted me magic resistance? It even had magic immunity, able to absorb magical elements. After my left hand developed the ability to absorb human bodies, this mutation brought me another surprise. The magic absorption technique is truly useful and exciting.

Joseph stared in disbelief, stammering, "How is this possible? It...it ate it?"

My left palm felt itchy. Upon closer inspection, I saw the scales retract, and the octopus suckers reappeared. But instead of using their sucking function, a drop of blood suddenly shot out from the suckers, instantly solidifying into a blood blade.

I was shocked. Was the mutation automatically teaching me how to use it? Could it automatically unleash the opponent's magic? Not only could it absorb it, but it could also use the opponent's own magic against them?

I was very curious and wanted to try it out. I concentrated, silently instructing the blood blade to attack my opponent, and suddenly swung my left hand. Sure enough, the blood blade shot towards Joseph like lightning, without even needing to chant an incantation.

Joseph was dumbfounded. I completely overturned his common sense about magic. I didn't even understand it, how could he? It wasn't until the blood blade was about to strike him that he reacted. He couldn't dodge in time and could only slightly turn to the side. The blood blade immediately slashed a bloody gash across his powerful body and shot away like lightning.

He cried out in pain. I continued to experiment, silently instructing the blood blade to continue attacking him, and several more blood blades were unleashed.

The Blood Blade indeed circled back and slashed, coordinating with the subsequent Blood Blade attack.

Joseph, terrified, fled in panic, instantly covered in several bloody gashes, blood gushing from his body—the same calamity I had suffered earlier had returned to him. He flapped his wings and took flight, narrowly avoiding the Blood Blade combo, but escaping the pursuit was extremely difficult.

In the distance, Sweet Orange and Hasegawa watched with great excitement, exclaiming in amazement.

As the Blood Blade continued its aerial combo, a string of small black characters suddenly appeared before my eyes, accompanied by a series of extremely pleasant musical notes. As the characters appeared one by one, a gentle female voice rang out—

As the last word popped up, the beautiful voice abruptly stopped, and the words gradually disappeared.

I was startled and confused, only hearing it vaguely, but no one else reacted, obviously only I heard it by accident. I started to think that overusing my brain had caused mental problems, but it seemed absurd.

I had no relevant experience, was unfamiliar with game language, and was very surprised. I didn't understand anything about trial of wisdom or Genesis Heaven. Even real gamers would probably be terrified if they encountered something like this.

What am I now? NPC? Player? New Human? I don't understand at all.

Why didn't others sense it? Why was I the only one? Are they all New Humans, unable to perceive me, while only I, with my player and NPC identities, can? Was I perceived by the system because

I triggered it and mastered skills? What's the use of the system rewarding me for mastering the Mana Absorption Technique and for the coincidence of the system restart? I didn't know that after the system notification, a flash of red light disappeared from my forehead. If

there really is a reward, why didn't the original spatial system give me this notification after I mastered the Star Absorption Technique, the warning ability, and the ability to fly? What did the system restart mean? Are the two spaces different? I don't understand. What are the NPC rules?

Unless there's something wrong with my mind, these must be related to mutation, but I don't understand, so I'll just not think about it. I'll discuss it with Hasegawa and the others later; maybe they'll understand.

I don't understand English abbreviations, and I didn't know I was the fifth person to enter this place. Who were the first few? Andrei, Jenny, Joseph, and who's the other one? I didn't consider these things at the time; I just thought it was strange that this mysterious system used Chinese.

These were just fleeting thoughts in my mind when the system notification came. Now the battle continues, and I can't think too much; I must focus my energy on the fight. Sweet Orange and Hasegawa were focused on Joseph in the air and didn't notice my unusual behavior.

Joseph was still dodging the blood blade in the air. After a while, he was even more disheveled, with several more wounds on his body. However, he was flying high in the air, making it difficult for the blood blade to hit him. He had a chance to catch his breath, but it was difficult for him to attack us.

I put aside my thoughts and, seeing that the blood blade couldn't hit him, I wanted to try the retrieval function. I silently chanted to make it return and opened my hand to open the suction cup.

The blood blade seemed to be controlled by me, and suddenly returned, instantly being sucked into the suction cup and disappearing without a trace.

I was overjoyed. Although I didn't understand the principle, as long as it worked, why bother to find out the details?

Joseph fell from the air, his face pale, and roared angrily, "How did you steal my magic? Without even chanting a spell? How could you do that?"

I smiled and said, "I'm a genius."

I thought it would be best to be able to generate flames. Since I could generate blood blades, flames should also work. I could control them with my mind. I concentrated my mind and, sure enough, a burst of intense flame quickly emerged from the suction cup on my left hand. I couldn't feel any real temperature, just a warm, comfortable sensation.

Joseph, bewildered, stared at me, even more surprised when I unleashed the flame.

I chuckled; roasting a bat with fire should be fun. Continuing my experiment, I waved my hand and shouted, "Go burn him!"

The intense flame immediately flashed towards him. Joseph was prepared and hurriedly flapped his wings to dodge, but the flame relentlessly pursued him. I continuously emitted flames, instantly creating several trails that blocked his path from both sides, encircling him and burning him.

Joseph was caught off guard; before he could even take off, a cluster of flames burned his wing. The intense pain caused him to scream. The more he flapped his wings to ascend, the more intense the flames became, but descending made it difficult to avoid the surrounding flames.

Vampires fear high temperatures. Although he could use fire magic, being burned was still painful for him. The burning pain was far greater than for ordinary people, and his expression was one of extreme agony.

A system notification sounded: You have mastered the Hellfire skill; magic duty is now on.

I ignored all that; I didn't understand anyway. Watching Joseph burn filled me with immense pleasure. I'd been burned by him earlier, and now I'd finally gotten my revenge. I laughed loudly, "Your vampire guardian spirit can't protect against fire!"

Joseph had no time to reply. He soared through the air, dodging the flames, trying to extinguish them with his hands. His situation was similar; not only could he not put out the fire, but his hands were also burned. His wings were injured, and it seemed he could no longer fly, about to fall from the sky. Other flames were about to reach him, but I only wanted to torment him, to test my magical abilities, not burn him to death. He was going to be absorbed by me; he couldn't be burned to a crisp.

I quickly raised my hand, using my mind to control the flames back. A series of flames instantly flew back to the suction cup.

Although Joseph was no longer in danger, he crashed to the ground, still desperately trying to extinguish the fire with his hands. Although he was burning in extreme pain, he had no other choice.

I walked over and chuckled, "Almost done, huh? Roasted bat wings taste good; I love them.

Don't you know fire magic? How come you got burned?"

Joseph's nose twisted in anger, and he cried out in pain, unable to speak.

I grinned maliciously, "I'll help you."

I stomped on his wings and hands, extinguishing the flames with a few quick stomps, but leaving a charred patch. He howled in pain. Strangely, he couldn't put it out no matter what he did, but I stomped it out with a few kicks; it seemed I could completely control the magic I used.

Joseph scrambled to his feet, pointing at me and saying, "You dare to play tricks on me!"

I laughed loudly, "I played tricks on you, so what?"

Joseph said fiercely, "I can't beat you, but I'll trap you here and make you lonely for the rest of your life." Just

as he was about to chant a spell, I pounced on him and punched him in the mouth, sending him flying.

I leaped over and kicked him hard in the mouth, coldly saying, "Don't even think about chanting a spell back. Do you think you'll have a chance against me? I'll knock out all your teeth and see how you chant a spell then."

Joseph tumbled and crawled, covering his mouth as he stood up, slurring his words with a sinister laugh, "I also have an invisibility spell. This kind of small magic spell is very short, not as difficult to use as spatial magic. You can't stop me. Once I become invisible, what can you do?"

My heart sank; this was indeed troublesome.

Before I could answer, Joseph suddenly flapped his charred wings and soared into the air. I didn't want him to escape, so I quickly spread my golden-blue wings and flew after him at a speed far exceeding his, throwing a punch.

He was sent plummeting through the air, and in an instant, he rapidly chanted a series of incantations, his figure flashing away, trying to shake off the pursuit as quickly as possible. I continued my frantic chase, but his figure gradually disappeared in the air, and I immediately felt a surge of tension.

Joseph laughed wildly, "You can't see me, can you!"

Although he was using magic to become invisible, I could basically estimate his location. Looking in the direction from which the voice came, I chuckled to myself, the previous tension and anxiety vanishing completely; I could still recognize him.

The intense air currents created by his flapping wings in the air completely highlighted his form. Although there was no color or physical image, the image formed by the air currents was enough for me to distinguish.

Ordinary people would never be able to see air currents, but with my superior eyesight and keen perception, I could locate him in three dimensions; no matter how invisible he was, he couldn't escape my notice.

Actually, I wouldn't have noticed these ripples if I hadn't looked closely, and they would have been even harder to find in infinite space. But earlier, I had used sound to locate him, and in my tension, I had used all my eyes' capabilities to the limit, which allowed me to discover this amazing ability. If it weren't for a stroke of luck, I definitely couldn't have done this; his voice was a huge help.

Below, Sweet Orange and Hasegawa cried out in alarm, desperately looking up, trying to find Joseph's location, probably afraid he would escape and trap us here.

I shouted to Sweet Orange, "Don't worry, I can find him."

Joseph laughed loudly, "You're dreaming! I don't believe you can break the invisibility spell."

Sweet Orange cried out anxiously, "Really? Why can't I see him?"

She was getting impatient and didn't believe me. I gestured to Hasegawa in the air, asking him to reassure Sweet Orange and tell him I had a way.

We hadn't communicated beforehand, but Hasegawa understood my meaning. He quickly pulled Sweet Orange aside, said a few words, and Sweet Orange stopped crying out.

Joseph remained motionless in the air, not in a hurry to cast a spatial magic spell. Extremely confident, he chuckled, "You can't see me? Let's see what you do then! Getting impatient, huh?"

Since he was so smug, I decided to play along. Pretending not to see him, I darted to the side, but the distance between us kept shrinking. I shouted, "I see you!"

Joseph laughed, "Don't try to fool me. I don't need to rush away. I should have used this trick sooner. How can you fight if you can't see me? I'll kill all your companions first, then beat you up, suck your blood, and leave you here all alone to die. When I need blood, I'll come back and suck yours. How satisfying!"

He had a beautiful plan, but I found it somewhat amusing.

He flapped his wings and swooped down towards Sweet Orange and Hasegawa. He didn't dare kill me first; clearly, he still had reservations.

I anticipated his actions and was prepared. Although I hadn't flown towards him earlier, a slight change of direction allowed me to intercept him on his way to Sweet Orange and Hasegawa, and ambush him.

Seeing him fall for my trap and pounce, I was secretly delighted. I flapped my wings wildly and shot towards him like lightning. My lightning speed and the power of my wings far surpassed that of a bat's wings, making pursuit and interception incredibly easy; otherwise, he wouldn't be so afraid of me.

In a flash, I had him in my grasp. As I ascended and descended, I lashed out with my leg, aiming for his falling abdomen, and simultaneously swung my left elbow diagonally down at his bat-like head.

Joseph hadn't expected my sudden, incredibly fast attack. He was falling rapidly and couldn't react in time, crashing into me. How could he possibly overpower me? The impact left him dizzy and disoriented. The blows to his abdomen and head from my elbow and leg made him even more dazed, and he plummeted through the air.

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa laughed loudly.

Sweet Orange said, "That was a really good shot.

You actually saw me." I flew down and landed in front of Joseph. He was exposed after being hit, and he gritted his teeth as he struggled to his feet, roaring, "This is impossible! How could you see me?"

I scoffed, "What's impossible about it?"

Joseph shouted, "You're bluffing me. I just told you my target. You just happened to kidnap me, so you couldn't possibly see me. This time, I won't let you succeed."

He flapped his wings, flew away quickly, and then soared into the air again, chanting a spell, gradually becoming invisible.

I flew after him, but didn't close in. I kept a certain distance from him to see how he would deal with me. He flapped his wings in mid-air, suddenly circled around, and pounced on me from behind, actually trying to attack me.

I didn't turn around. When he was about to pounce, I suddenly flapped my wings and rose up like a helicopter. As he missed, I swooped down on his head and stomped down, hitting the bat's head squarely.

This kick was like a mountain crashing down with immense force; how could he possibly withstand it? He immediately fell silently, sent hurtling through the air like a cannonball, crashing heavily to the ground and creating a large crater. He was nearly knocked unconscious.

I landed slowly, and he crawled out of the crater, covered in dust, roaring hysterically, "I don't believe it! You couldn't have seen me! I'm a vampire count! How could I be insulted by a mutant genetic weapon? This can't be real! You heard the wind, but you didn't see me! Vampire magic can't fail!"

He was driven almost insane by the humiliation. No method could break me; instead, I had repeatedly insulted him. How could he, with his pride as a German nobleman and a vampire count, bear this? His psyche was on the verge of collapse, and he could only make excuses.

I felt incredibly comfortable and excited. Defeating the vampire count was truly fulfilling, and tormenting him brought me immense pleasure, a peak of ecstasy. He was the strongest enemy I had encountered since my mutation. Defeating him completely would not only significantly enhance my strength, but absorbing his knowledge and abilities would also make me more confident and resolute – that would be my greatest gain.

I smiled calmly, "Now you're helpless. I'll send you on your way."

I was tired of playing with him and wanted to absorb his magical knowledge to get back to sleep as soon as possible.

Joseph roared, "I won't lose to you! I'll trap you! I don't want to stay here! I want to leave!"

He suddenly flapped his wings and leaped up, chanting a spell to become invisible, trying to escape.

He was going to use spatial magic; I wouldn't let him succeed – this concerned the lives of all three of us.

I flew up with lightning speed, appearing before him as he became invisible. He had only uttered two syllables when I punched him in the mouth, silencing him and sending him flying backward, a pitiful howl escaping from deep within his throat.

I must silence him to be safe, preferably by removing his tongue. I immediately leaped after him, using the technique of burning a bat's mouth to seal his throat. With a wave of my left hand, I unleashed a burst of flames that shot into the air and chased after him like lightning.

Joseph, still reeling from my boxing nightmare, couldn't dodge in time and was struck by flames. One ball of fire burned his bat wing, another his mouth. In excruciating pain, he immediately covered his mouth, groaning in agony, unable to chant any incantations. His wings were ablaze, causing him immense pain and making it difficult to maintain his balance; he plummeted through the air.

I swiftly pursued him, delivering a follow-up kick from above, sending him crashing to the ground with a thud, creating a large crater.

I landed immediately, and before he could emerge, I stomped on his chest, coldly saying, "Trying to run? I'll make sure you can't speak, then see how you run!"

I stomped on his wings, extinguishing the flames while nearly crushing them, making it difficult for him to fly again. I grinned maliciously, "Try flying again, and I'll tear your wings apart."

He lay in the crater, convulsing in agony. After tormenting his wings, I stomped on his mouth, stopping the fire, but making it difficult for him to speak. Although I hadn't shattered his jawbone or cheekbones, he was spitting out blood.

I stopped and sneered, "Feeling better now?"

Joseph shook his dizzy head, somewhat neurotic, and mumbled incoherently, "I can't chant the spell anymore. Is it really impossible to escape? I don't want to die here."

Chanting magic spells is not as simple as speaking. Every syllable must be correct. If he keeps mumbling like this, even if the spell is completed, I don't know which dimension he will be thrown into.

I sneered, "You think you can run away now that you're in my hands? If you didn't want to die here, why did you bring us here? You brought this on yourself, you deserve to die."

Joseph's eyes suddenly flashed with a fierce light, and he said viciously, "I won't let you get away with this. I'll drag a few of you down

with me. Even if you don't die, you'll suffer here slowly." I said calmly, "We won't die. I have a way to leave, you don't need to worry. If you still have the ability, go ahead and use it. It's quite interesting to watch others struggle to their death. I don't mind playing with you for a while longer."

Joseph roared, "I don't believe you can leave. You're lying to me."

I said coldly, "I don't need you to believe me."

Joseph's expression changed drastically. Suddenly, he used all his strength to shout a spell, and the sound carried far.

I was startled, but after a moment, nothing seemed amiss. I asked in confusion, "What's your name? What kind of magic is this?"

Joseph sneered, "This isn't magic. Do you know what the most terrifying thing here is?"

Although his speech was unclear, it became increasingly sinister and terrifying.

I asked, "What is it?"

Joseph replied, "Why ask me? You'll find out soon enough."

Hasegawa called out from afar, "Big brother, there's a sound! It sounds like wild animals are moving this way, like snakes."

He protected Sweet Orange, carefully moving away from the thorn bushes and hiding to the other side.

A faint rustling sound came from all around. My hearing was sharp, and I had already noticed it, but I hadn't paid attention. It was normal for wild animals and snakes to make noise in the jungle. I wasn't afraid of them, but if they attacked Sweet Orange and Hasegawa, that would be terrible.

I was startled; Joseph had just called for them. A murderous intent surged within me, and I glared at him coldly.

Joseph's face was grim, and he mumbled, "This is something I learned from a skilled snake breeder. The most terrifying creature here is the Sena, a super python from the rainforest. It's enormous and can swallow crocodiles whole; swallowing a living person is even easier. I just told them there's delicious food here, and they'll chase you relentlessly. No matter where you go, the nearest one is already here."

I coldly replied, "You're truly venomous."

Hasegawa reminded me, "We need to leave immediately, brother, end this fight quickly."

Joseph sneered, "They pose no threat to you, but they are a threat to your companions. I'll take them with me to hell." Just

as I was about to kill him, a sudden alarm bell rang in my mind—the same feeling I had when I first noticed Hasegawa. Something was terribly wrong. I couldn't worry about dealing with him; I had to ensure my companions' safety first. I turned sharply and saw Hasegawa leading Sweet Orange away, constantly observing the surroundings.

There were rustling sounds coming from both sides, difficult for an ordinary person to discern, but my hearing was extremely sharp. I listened intently and instantly realized that the sound was closer to Sweet Orange and Hasegawa. The anaconda knew how to cooperate, using its companion's voice as cover.

Although Hasegawa was an assassin, his hearing wasn't that sharp.

I yelled, "Watch out behind you!"

Hearing the call, Hasegawa's expression changed instantly. He quickly pulled Sweet Orange and looked back, finding nothing, and gave me a questioning look.

Chapter 3 ◆ The Anaconda's Disaster

A flash of cold light appeared in the jungle, like the golden eyes of an anaconda.

I saw it clearly and panicked, roaring, "Get out of there!" Ignoring Joseph, I rushed to his rescue.

Hasegawa didn't understand, but trusted me. Seeing me rushing towards him, he quickly pulled Sweet Orange back.

As I took flight, a giant anaconda suddenly sprang from the jungle, its head raised upright, its fiery red eyes gleaming with an eerie, cunning, and ferocious light. It spat out a long, fiery red forked tongue, its markings like a dragon's, sending chills down one's spine and raising goosebumps.

It was tens of meters long, its waist as thick as a tree; it could easily swallow a tiger, let alone a man.

Hasegawa had just pulled Sweet Orange back two steps when he witnessed this terrifying scene. He was instantly terrified, cold sweat pouring down his face, while Sweet Orange let out a bloodcurdling scream.

Just as I leaped forward, the giant anaconda's head lunged forward, shooting towards the two of them with incredible speed and no clumsiness.

I couldn't intervene in time, and it looked like they were about to be bitten. At the critical moment, Hasegawa reacted, revealing his killer instinct. He acted swiftly and decisively, pushing the terrified and almost immobile Sweet Orange aside, using the momentum to dodge to the other side.

With Sweet Orange's abilities, it would be a miracle she hadn't wet herself; she was utterly incapable of saving

herself. In a flash, the two figures split apart. The anaconda swiftly attacked, missing its target, but reacted quickly, whipping its body around and lunging at the limp Sweet Orange. She understood the difference between strong and weak; the law of the jungle, the survival of the fittest, was the ultimate truth.

At the same time, another anaconda leaped out of the jungle, no less formidable than the first, and lunged at Sweet Orange.

A battle between two pythons—if successful, Sweet Orange would be torn in two. She let out a piercing scream, thankfully not fainting from the shock. In her eyes, the anaconda was far more terrifying than this monster; women are afraid of snakes, especially anacondas.

I pounced in mid-air; how could I let them harm Sweet Orange? But which one should I kill first? My mind couldn't process it; I didn't even have time to think, let alone coordinate with Hasegawa. In that instant, I could only prioritize rescuing Sweet Orange.

I kicked one anaconda in the head, spread my blue wings, and swept my scythe towards the next anaconda.

As I pounced, Hasegawa, before even landing, fired a shot, shouting, "Kill the other one! This one's for me!"

His marksmanship was incredibly accurate; he hit the anaconda in the eye, blood splattering instantly. Hitting other parts probably wouldn't have worked; the bullet's added holy power had little effect on the anaconda. The anaconda, though severely injured, was not dead.

I kicked her aside, giving her to Hasegawa. The other anaconda, being smart enough, didn't dare confront Bluewing and turned away. I grabbed Sweet Orange with my keratinized right hand, only holding her clothes to avoid hurting her.

Sweet Orange clung tightly to my arm, then suddenly realized what was happening and burst into tears. These events unfolded in the blink of an eye, fraught with danger; even a moment's delay could have meant being fed to the pythons. I had no time to comfort her. The anaconda regrouped and pounced again with lightning speed. The other anaconda, injured by Hasegawa, was extremely enraged and lunged at him, its long tongue spitting out, intending to devour him alive.

I can only trust Hasegawa's expertise now, but I don't believe he can fight a python bare-handed. He could only hold out for a short while, not willingly become food like Sweet Orange. It would be difficult for him to kill an anaconda with a gun; bullets wouldn't do much damage unless he could hit its eye again. I had to kill the anaconda in front of me as quickly as possible and then save her—that was my immediate thought.

Dealing with an anaconda would be too easy for me; my speed, strength, and intelligence far surpassed his. I gently picked up Sweet Orange, leaped forward, and dodged the anaconda's lightning-fast attack. I put her down, leaped up, and met the anaconda's oncoming attack.

The anaconda opened its blood-red maw, spitting out its long forked tongue, and lunged at me. I was skilled and daring; I thrust upwards with a hook blade, piercing the python's throat. She glared at me in pain, and before she could react, my keratinized right fist slammed out, smashing the python's head to pieces. Blood gushed out, splattering all over me.

Sweet Orange, terrified, dodged far away, screaming repeatedly. The thick, long python crashed to the ground, creating a shallow crater, and blood flowed like a river. I killed this giant python instantly; its body wasn't as strong as Joseph's bat- like form.

Hasegawa, clearly not wanting to waste bullets or perhaps overly confident, actually holstered his gun, drew a jet-black dagger from his waist, and in the instant the anaconda lunged at him, leaped up, over the python's body, and with a

sweeping motion, slashed the python's head from behind, shouting a string of Japanese. Was that some kind of Eastern ninjutsu? It was indeed impressive. He was incredibly agile; an ordinary person would probably be swallowed whole before even leaping. With just a sweeping slash, a quarter of the python's body was instantly cut open, blood gushing out, demonstrating the dagger's extreme sharpness. I wondered what it was made of; an ordinary knife probably couldn't cut through the python's skin. It must be the dagger he mentioned called "Rin."

This slash wasn't fatal, but the anaconda was in great pain and turned to attack again. Hasegawa anticipated its next move, leaping forward again and shouting in Japanese as he slashed it again on the side, cutting it a quarter of the way through.

His movements were fluid and relentless, devoid of any fancy or superfluous actions, brimming with killing intent. Blood splattered from his blade, and every strike hit its mark. Any hesitation would mean certain death at the hands of the anaconda. He must have practiced some kind of secret technique; his fighting ability was far from the weakling I had imagined.

The anaconda, cut twice, had deep, joined wounds, suffering terribly. Blood flowed continuously from behind its head, making it difficult to move. Hasegawa dared not give it a chance. He leaped onto the python's body, thrusting his short sword downwards with a swift, powerful slash, severing the python's head. Had he been even slightly slower, he would have been strangled and killed. He was indeed skilled at slaying pythons; his swordsmanship was fierce and ruthless.

I finished the fight first, seeing his ease, and didn't help. This was a training opportunity; chances to kill pythons were rare.

After he severed the python's head, I took Sweet Orange and rushed over. Sweet Orange trembled with fear at the sight of the python's blood everywhere.

I said to Hasegawa, "Let's go together, kill Joseph, and get out of here quickly."

Hasegawa said, "Kill him? How will we leave this space? I trust my brother. He said earlier that we don't need space-breaking magic, just leaving him behind is enough. What does that mean? He seems very confident?"

I smiled and said, "I can absorb his knowledge and memories; I'll definitely find a way to leave. He won't take us back; he has to die." Before I finished speaking, a scream suddenly came from nearby—it was Jenny's voice.

We looked closely and saw a anaconda suddenly appear behind us, spitting out its fiery red forked tongue at Jenny.

Startled, she screamed and turned to run, the anaconda swooping down on her. She was a vampire, far stronger than Sweet Orange, with a powerful body and agile movements. The anaconda couldn't catch her immediately, but the situation was precarious.

The anaconda didn't let up, keeping its eyes fixed on her, determined to devour her. Perhaps anacondas like to eat bats, but I wondered why she didn't transform into a bat and fly away.

She was fighting the anaconda on the ground, but clearly couldn't hold out for long. Without a suitable weapon, even though she was stronger than an average person, it was difficult to fight the anaconda head-on; she could only dodge. If this went on for too long, something bad would happen.

Sweet Orange pushed me, saying, "Go save her!"

I was taken aback. She was so kind; although she was terrified, she wanted me to save the enemy. Women's compassion is truly overflowing. Besides, this was Joseph's own fault; he was seriously injured and unable to save Jenny. With his normal strength, dealing with the anaconda wouldn't be a problem.

Seeing my hesitation, Sweet Orange continued pushing me, "What are you standing there for? No matter who she is, we can't let her be swallowed by the anaconda. Joseph can't save her now, you go save her!"

I wanted to tell her that Jenny wasn't as weak as she seemed; she didn't need anyone to save her. Even without Joseph's help, if she wanted to escape, she could fly; she wouldn't have to fight so desperately. She must have just visited Joseph, who was seriously injured and unable to move easily, so she asked her to distract the anaconda to avoid being harmed. She was loyal to her master and refused to fly high.

These anacondas, though summoned by Joseph, couldn't distinguish friend from foe, nor did they recognize him; they simply ate whatever food was available. This was Joseph's suicidal tactic, perhaps a way to save his own life.

My super-powerful brain instantly grasped this, while Sweet Orange was too foolish, too kind, and sympathetic towards vulnerable women.

I hesitated, then decided against telling her, as it would hurt her pride. Besides, I didn't want Jenny to suffer the anaconda's bite. Although Joseph was determined to kill her, she could be spared; I wanted to taste her. A woman favored by a vampire count must be quite remarkable, so I decided to go with the flow and save her.

I looked at Hasegawa, who smiled bitterly, "Save her! One must be spared."

He understood the situation, but his reason for keeping Jenny was that he feared I wouldn't be able to find my way back after absorbing her memories; he kept her as a backup. She was a vampire; regardless of her abilities, she was still useful.

I had Hasegawa slowly approach with Sweet Orange while I leaped to save Jenny, leaving Joseph alone for now, letting him live a little longer. He couldn't escape; his mouth was severely injured, leaving him only able to utter indistinct sounds, unable to clearly chant incantations. He couldn't immediately use spatial magic to escape, and he was also afraid of being transported to the wrong space and unable to return. He had to heal his tongue first, which would take time.

Jenny, pursued relentlessly by the anaconda, suddenly tripped and fell to the ground. The anaconda, seizing the opportunity to devour her, instantly lunged forward, its head shooting out, its blood-red mouth wide open, its red tongue spitting out, like lightning striking the fallen Jenny.

Jenny screamed in terror, unable to dodge in time; her life hung in the balance.

I leaped forward, my super-powerful brain flashing through several plans to kill the giant python. I chose the simplest method, slashing through the python's body in mid-air, my blue wings unfurling, and an incredibly sharp slit severed the python's head without drawing a drop of blood.

Although decapitated, the anaconda's attack was not hindered; its stiff body plummeted to the ground.

If struck by its massive body, an ordinary person would surely be unable to withstand the impact. Jenny was some distance from the anaconda and wasn't hit by its body, but the flying head struck her full breasts with a loud thud.

Even with her remarkably firm breasts, she couldn't withstand the weight of the snake's head; it only made a muffled thud. Hopefully, her breasts weren't damaged, as she would need them later. If she weren't a powerful vampire, her sternum would likely have been broken, and she would have coughed up blood.

She groaned from the impact, her nerves surprisingly strong. She was initially stunned, actually feeling a bit suffocated from the shock and fear—the snake's head was heavy—before suddenly letting out a piercing scream. It was remarkable she hadn't fainted.

An ordinary person, even if dead, would likely be scared to death by the sight of the anaconda's head.

The anaconda's crimson forked tongue was licking Jenny's face when it accidentally flicked against her. Its two enormous, lantern-like red eyes stared at her. The snake's head had just struck her chest, causing blood to gush out, soaking her face and body, leaving her wet and sticky.

This scene was far from terrifying. I wasn't playing a prank on her; it was just a coincidence. She saw me sever the snake's head and knew she wouldn't die, but the momentary fear was hard to shake off.

Her mind probably went blank, and she only managed to stay conscious thanks to her vampire abilities. She screamed frantically, releasing her terror. After about ten seconds, she finally came to her senses, abruptly pushing the snake's head off her, tearing off its coronal cord, and standing up. She continued her hysterical screams, her chest heaving, her heart pounding, pacing around frantically, almost going crazy.

The woman's voice was incredibly loud. I found it hard to believe that a woman with such an aristocratic air would scream like that; I always thought they were gentle and refined. Now her true colors were finally showing. I covered my ears mid-air, not rushing down immediately. She was too frantic to calm down. If Sweet Orange were in this situation, she would definitely faint, saving me a lot of trouble. After

screaming for a while, she calmed down a bit and wasn't so loud anymore. I flew down to her side, wanting to pat her shoulder to comfort her, but I held back to avoid hurting her. I advised, "Don't scream anymore, it's alright."

Jenny pushed me hard, but I didn't push her away; instead, I bounced her off, and she roared, "Don't worry about me, get away!"

I was puzzled. I had saved her; she should be grateful to me. Why was she acting like this? Ungrateful. Disobedient women deserve a spanking, but unfortunately, I couldn't spank her now. In this state, one slap would have flattened her.

I didn't bother arguing with a frightened woman and laughed, "I just saved you."

Jenny retorted angrily, "Couldn't you have used gentler methods to save me? Smashing and scaring me like that, I'd go crazy."

I said helplessly, "Things were urgent just now, how could I think about it? Saving you is enough! You're my enemy, I'm very magnanimous."

She was speechless, and I continued, "I'm still better than Joseph. He casually summoned anacondas, disregarded his female companion's life, and even used you as bait, and you still protected him?"

Jenny's face darkened and she said, "He's my master, I must obey."

I replied, "I'll kill him, and I'll become your master, how about that?"

Jenny was stunned for a moment, her face blank, probably unable to adapt to this situation.

I said sternly, "He's dead. You know his current situation; he can't escape, he can't bring you hope or happiness. I'll take his place. Now, your only chance to leave alive is to cooperate with us, understand?"

Jenny hesitated, then said sadly, "What's the point of leaving here alive? Without a master, we can't leave the Confined Zone; we'll be trapped here for life."

I smiled, "Don't worry, I have a way to leave."

Just as I was about to kill Joseph, Sweet Orange suddenly shouted from behind, "Big brother, save us!"

I was startled and looked towards Sweet Orange. They were blocked by another anaconda, with Hasegawa facing her.

This anaconda was clever; it didn't attack rashly, probably knowing the lesson of what had happened before, but it didn't want to give up its food. I guessed she had been hiding in the nearby jungle. After I flew to rescue Jenny, Hasegawa slowly approached me with Sweet Orange, who suddenly darted out, blocking our path.

With a bang, Hasegawa fired a shot, but the clever anaconda, having observed the danger beforehand, planned its move carefully. It deftly turned its head, the bullet missing its eye but hitting its body instead, provoking it and lunging at Hasegawa.

I had no time to kill Joseph, telling Jenny, "I'm going to rescue them, you stay here."

I leaped forward, and Hasegawa tried the same tactic, attempting a leap and a slash, but the anaconda was agile. Seeing its attack miss, it dodged with incredible speed, twisting its body to nimbly avoid the attack. Hasegawa was helpless; his swordsmanship was ineffective. The anaconda

cleared a path, and Hasegawa shouted to Sweet Orange, telling her to run towards me, as running in other directions might lead to more encounters with the anaconda. Taking advantage of Hasegawa's distraction, Sweet Orange ran quickly towards me, but after a few steps, she tripped and fell. She panicked, her ankle seemingly twisted, and collapsed to the ground.

I had already flown over. She seemed to feel safe and didn't want to get up; she was pale with shock. She had experienced terrible things in the past, how could she be so timid now? Her mental fortitude is truly poor. I told her to stay put; I couldn't take care of her now, I had to save Hasegawa first. He was in a very dangerous situation; confronting the anaconda was no easy task.

I swooped down, instantly appearing above Hasegawa, and called out, "Go help Sweet Orange, I'll handle this."

He finally breathed a sigh of relief. I flapped my wings and attacked the anaconda, drawing its attention.

Hasegawa took the opportunity to jump over, knowing I could handle it, and didn't attack. He quickly rushed to Sweet Orange, helped her up, and dragged her away, while simultaneously scouting the surroundings to prevent any further accidents.

We had killed several anacondas; they wouldn't suddenly come in large numbers, and these were already quite a few.

I suddenly had a thought: I used to use the Star-Absorbing Technique to absorb people, I wondered what it would be like to absorb anacondas.

It was truly insane, but I wanted to try. Although I worried about accidents—humans and anacondas are different species, and absorbing human energy can enhance one's physique, while there's no rejection among those of the same species—absorbing anaconda energy could have unpredictable consequences. Yet, I couldn't resist the forbidden temptation.

Normally I'm human, but after mutating, I'm hardly human at all. Everything on my body is beyond human capabilities, and the monster armor is even more mysterious. Having one more wouldn't hurt; even if danger arose, my robust physique could resist it, and other parts of my body would suppress the danger, perhaps even activating new functions. Without much thought, a flash of inspiration struck me, and I decided to do it.

The anaconda knew I was powerful and dared not attack rashly. Being in the air, it was difficult for it to attack. While I was thinking, I made a few simple pounces, not aiming to kill, but it could only dodge repeatedly.

I made up my mind, extended the suction cup on my left hand, and suddenly plummeted downwards, my wings flapping rapidly, sweeping through the air with incredible speed. Before the anaconda could react, I had already grabbed it mid-air, my left hook and keratinized right hand working together to lock its head firmly in place.

The anaconda struggled violently in agony, but my strength was overwhelming; I wouldn't let it break free. I flapped my wings wildly, lifting it into the air, its dozens-of-meters-long body dangling down, writhing frantically. With my strength, lifting it was effortless.

The crowd below gasped in awe; the scene was spectacular and thrilling.

On the ground, the anaconda could twist its body and constrict its enemies, but in the air, it was helpless, unable to lift its heavy body, and unable to entangle me. It was completely at my mercy—the law of the jungle. Snake meat and blood must be delicious, probably very nutritious.

I gripped the anaconda's head tightly with my right arm, immobilizing it; it was almost suffocating. My left hand plunged a hook into the top of its head, causing the snake to convulse violently in extreme pain, but it couldn't break free.

The hook was incredibly sharp, plunging in easily without any resistance. My left-hand suction cup quickly entered the snake's head, feeling the spasms and throbbing of flesh. The essence of its flesh and organs surged into my body through the suction cup

. The sensation was different from sucking a person; it was incredibly tranquil, cool, and refreshing. For a moment after I inserted it, it struggled and trembled violently, but quickly stopped, becoming lifeless and unresponsive. The python's head was instantly emptied by me. Its once cunning, ferocious, and gleaming eyes became dry and white as powder. The corpse drooped limply in the air, continuously shrinking, as if all the air inside had been sucked out.

The people below were stunned by this phenomenon, all dumbfounded by my ability.

By human standards, this enormous anaconda would take ten people several days to finish, but my method of feeding employed a unique "Star-Sucking Technique," breaking down the snake's essence into energy, compressing it multiple times before absorbing it. Energy occupies much less space than flesh, and with each compression, it becomes even more negligible, yet the power it contains is extremely formidable.

This is why, despite being much smaller than the anaconda, I was able to drain it dry. The anaconda's energy, compressed together, isn't very large. The power I unleash far exceeds that of an ordinary person, not only because of the mutation but also because of the immense amount of compressed energy within me.

After my mutation, my absorption and energy conversion speed is extremely fast, and I finished absorbing it in an instant, emptying the entire anaconda into an air sac.

Those below could clearly see a ring-shaped shockwave rapidly extending downwards from the snake's head to its tail, where the entire snake deflated—it was truly awe-inspiring.

A system voice sounded, notifying me that I had acquired the snake's abilities. I didn't care; I didn't understand them at all. Since the mutation hasn't changed anything yet, I guess the abilities will need to be developed later.

To my dismay, I had wanted a beautiful snakeskin set, but now that's impossible. The entire set was dried out, cracked, and mottled, utterly unsmooth and unusable. I had sucked it too hard, but getting the snakeskin was easy; I'd deal with that later. First, I'd test my ability to destroy evidence to see if I could easily destroy it.

With a thought, a stream of corrosive liquid instantly sprayed from the suction cup. The snake's head was immediately corroded into powder, detaching from my hand and spreading downwards layer by layer. The snake's body fell, already half-corroded before hitting the ground, demonstrating the potency of the corrosive liquid.

I ignored the snakeskin being corroded; I figured it would soon be completely decomposed and turn to ashes.

I landed in front of Sweet Orange and Hasegawa. Hasegawa said, "More anacondas will be arriving soon. We need to leave quickly. Big Brother, deal with Joseph as soon as possible."

Sweet Orange said, "Then we'll take Jenny with us."

I nodded and said, "Don't worry, I'll fly you up. You won't be hurt by the anacondas. I'll deal with Joseph."

I turned to go and consume Joseph, but suddenly realized that he had vanished from the pit where I had ravaged him. He was nowhere to be seen, neither alive nor dead, while Jenny was still standing beside him.

I stopped and looked around, but couldn't find him. I had a bad feeling.

Hasegawa noticed something was wrong and cautiously approached with Sweet Orange. Looking around, he exclaimed, "He's gone?"

I nodded, and Sweet Orange exclaimed in surprise, "He couldn't have been swallowed by an anaconda, could he?"

I said dismissively, "If he were swallowed by an anaconda, he wouldn't be a vampire count. He's trying to fight

back in his death throes; the will of a vampire shouldn't be underestimated." Hasegawa scanned the surroundings, but I couldn't see him, and he couldn't find him either. He agreed, "He couldn't have been swallowed by an anaconda. After swallowing something, an anaconda slows down and seeks a place to rest. It's unlikely we can't see any anacondas nearby."

Sweet Orange said nervously, "Could he have used an air... ?" "The magic has left? What do we do?"

Hasegawa said, "Impossible. He wouldn't leave without Jenny; he used invisibility magic."

I solemnly said, "He did use invisibility magic. I severely injured his mouth, so his speech is slurred. He can only barely speak and can't recite

magic spells. Otherwise, if he mispronounces one, the consequences will be unimaginable; he'll be in trouble.

" Hasegawa said, "He needs to recover his speech before he can spit out the spell back, but that will take time, so he's hiding from us. We

must find him as soon as possible.

" Sweet Orange calmed down and felt slightly relieved.

Chapter Four ◆ " The Eye of the Gods,

" Hasegawa said. "We can't see him, what should we do? Big brother could see him before, what can we do?"

Sweet Orange pulled me tightly and said, "Big brother, you can see him, think of something quickly, you must take me back. Even the hardships before were better than being here."

I patted her shoulder and said, "Don't worry, I have a way."

Actually, I was very nervous. If we couldn't find him, we would be trapped here, but I trusted my judgment and still had confidence. I said to Jenny across from me, "You should give us an explanation."

Jenny said, "He is my master, I cannot betray him."

Sweet Orange said angrily, "We just saved you, and you say this? You have no conscience. Big brother, we'll use torture to extract a confession. We don't need to be polite to this kind of bitch. Cut her flesh with a knife and see if she talks."

Hasegawa and I almost burst out laughing. Women are so fickle. Just now she kindly asked me to save her, but now that her own safety is at stake, she wants to use torture to extract a confession. She changes so quickly.

I quickly reassured her, "No need for interrogation, I have a way." I said to Jenny, "I don't need you to tell me, I have a way to find him. Does he think he can hide from me like this? He's very clever, as expected of a vampire count, to have thought of this so quickly. Whenever he moves, it will cause air fluctuations, and with my keen eyesight, I will definitely notice. He can't be invisible, but if he's completely still, there won't be any air fluctuations, so I won't be able to find him. That's what he must be thinking."

Jenny's expression changed, confirming that my guess was correct, but Hasegawa and Sweet Orange's expressions also changed, realizing that I couldn't actually see Joseph, but rather I was observing the air movement.

Sweet Orange asked nervously, "If he doesn't move, will Big Brother really not see him? What should we do?"

Hasegawa was a little anxious and worried, "Big Brother must come up with a solution as soon as possible. We can't linger here for too long."

I nodded and said, "He dares not move or speak to avoid my surveillance, otherwise he will be discovered. He escaped while we were dealing with the anaconda, and the time was very short. He needs to avoid our sight. He is seriously injured and unable to move easily, so he can't have gone far. He must be nearby, or even within our line of sight, watching us."

Hasegawa said, "That's possible, but how do we find him now?"

I pondered and said, "I'll search a small area. I should be able to find him. I'm not afraid of his attacks."

Hasegawa said, "That's not a good idea. You can only search in one direction. He can change his position behind you at any time. You can't catch him. Although we can help monitor him, we can't sense the air movement."

I frowned. This was indeed troublesome. Although I could use my special eye ability to see what was behind me, the method was too clumsy and the search speed was too slow. I decided to give up.

Hasegawa said, "Big Brother must be with us, protecting us. He'll notice if he moves, so he wouldn't dare risk his life. If he's too far away, he might suddenly attack us or take hostages; we must be careful. We have to find him together."

I was startled; Hasegawa was more experienced.

Sweet Orange frowned, "Wouldn't it be dangerous if we ran into a knife? What should we do?"

I was truly worried. Sweet Orange and Hasegawa looked at me anxiously; only I could handle Joseph now. In my anxiety, I suddenly felt a cool sensation on my forehead.

Sweet Orange exclaimed, "Your forehead…"

Hasegawa stammered, "It looks like it's cracked."

Jenny looked very nervous on the other side, seemingly frightened.

My forehead seemed swollen and cracked, something was oozing out, but I felt no pain, only a strange comfort. In my current state, without fully understanding what's going on, I didn't dare touch it carelessly. I cautiously said, "Don't be afraid. My body has many secret functions, some of which I don't even know about. Can you tell what it is?"

Sweet Orange exclaimed, "It looks like Erlang Shen's third eye."

Hasegawa said, "That's right, it's a very large red eye, like the Fiery Eyes."

The slit on my forehead was fully open, indeed resembling an eye, capable of closing, as if it were natural. I kept my eyes open. Although I had an extra eye, I couldn't see much more. My original eyes were perfectly complete; it was impossible for me to have a better eye, and there was no need.

But my abilities hadn't been fully developed yet. This was definitely not an ordinary eye, otherwise it wouldn't have appeared. What special function did it have? Its appearance at this moment was no accident; it must be because I couldn't solve my problem, and it wanted to help. Could it see Joseph?

Hasegawa asked doubtfully, "What special function does this eye have?"

I smiled bitterly, "I haven't used it before; I'm testing it."

I scanned my surroundings, but didn't find Joseph, nor anything unusual or special, but I wasn't discouraged. This eye must have an extremely powerful function, but I hadn't found it yet. Suddenly I felt something was off. The scenery before me was different from what I had seen before. It felt very strange. What was different?

I focused all my attention on my third eye and searched my surroundings with all my might. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck me, and my vision cleared up. I realized that I had finally discovered the subtle difference that had made me feel strange. It would have been hard to see if I hadn't focused my eyes.

I recalled what had happened earlier. Was this a mutated function, or the inexplicable system notification about the Eye of the Gods?

As if responding to me, the system suddenly notified me: "You have discovered the Eye of the Gods' ability to detect life magnetic fields."

I was overjoyed; I had guessed correctly. Sweet Orange and the others hadn't noticed anything amiss; only I could sense it.

It turned out that there was a slight fluctuation in the surrounding jungle thorns and on Sweet Orange, Hasegawa, and Jenny's bodies, like ripples formed by a pebble thrown into water—colorless, odorless, and extremely subtle, yet I could feel it. The anaconda's corpse didn't exhibit this fluctuation. I deduced that this was their life force fluctuation; as long as someone is alive, whether plant, animal, or human, they possess life force fluctuations.

No living being can escape my eyes now. Joseph will never escape my search. No matter how he hides, I will find him. I laughed loudly and exclaimed with delight, "I know its function now!"

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa asked anxiously, "What function?"

I smiled and said, "It can detect life magnetic fields."

Hasegawa reacted quickly and immediately said, "So, Big Brother can sense the mental fluctuations or life signs of all living beings, even if he can't see them, he can still sense them accurately."

I nodded and said, "That's right."

Sweet Orange said excitedly, "Big Brother, find Joseph quickly, absorb him, and we can leave."

Hasegawa said, "I hope Big Brother's absorption method works."

Although he was worried, this was the only way he could do it. Joseph would definitely not take us back willingly. We have too deep a grudge; we must kill him.

I said confidently, "I will find him."

I began to explore the surroundings. With this function, everything was easy. The surrounding area was filled with the life magnetic fields of green plants. The life magnetic fields of plants without green plants must belong to Joseph.

Based on my previous deductions, he was severely injured and unable to move easily. He couldn't have escaped far in the short time I had just spent, and now that he dared not move, he must be nearby. I just needed to carefully search the surroundings.

Sure enough, after searching for a while, I easily found him hiding nearby.

Suddenly, a small red screen appeared before the bright red divine eye on my forehead, flashing continuously. Accompanied by a system prompt, it said: Warning, target detected. Lock on

mentally? I silently agreed, and a red square immediately shot out from the divine eye on my forehead, instantly rushing towards the target, covering Joseph's life magnetic field, abruptly stopping, flashing twice, and freezing motionless. Only my special eyes could see it; others were completely unaware, and Joseph didn't even realize I had locked onto him.

The system prompt sounded: Target life magnetic field locked. You can choose the following powers: 1. Attack. Destroy the target's soul. 2. Deprive. Control the target's soul, preventing it from escaping. Execute immediately?

I decided to postpone the execution. Sweet Orange and Hasegawa didn't notice the system prompt.

I didn't understand the principle behind it, but I thought this thing was incredibly useful, like divine intervention, as if it were the will of heaven. Sweet Orange had said that Joseph's name meant "the general helps," and now the general was helping me.

For a moment, I didn't want to leave; I wanted to figure out the secret. Although I'm uneducated, I'm curious, and now I know there must be a shocking secret hidden here. I didn't have time to tell Sweet Orange and Hasegawa for the time being.

I smiled and said, "Don't worry, I found him."

They had been watching me nervously the whole time, afraid they wouldn't find him, and dared not disturb me. Hearing this, they were incredibly excited; finally, there was hope of going home. They were very confident that I could handle the half-crippled Joseph.

Hasegawa breathed a sigh of relief. He had been very nervous earlier, gave me a thumbs up, nodded and smiled, but didn't say anything.

Sweet Orange jumped up happily, hugged my right arm, and said coquettishly, "There's hope of going home! Kill him!"

Jenny was opposite, her face not looking good, but powerless to stop me. I didn't immediately attack or strip Joseph of his soul. He thought that if he didn't move, I wouldn't find him. What wishful thinking! Let's see how I toy with him.

It's strange that the anacondas haven't attacked us for a while. Maybe they've died a few, and their corpses are standing there as a show of force, scaring them away or perhaps they're gathering their strength. But I don't care. If they dare mess with me, I'll kill them all.

I glanced at Jenny, chuckled, and turned to Joseph, shouting, "Come out! I've found you! Game over!"

Joseph didn't react, probably thinking I'd just found the right direction and was bluffing him. How stupid! He obviously wouldn't walk right into a trap.

I chuckled, "Since you won't come out, I'll force you. Hellfire!"

I shouted, and with a flick of my left hand, a string of flames shot towards him like a meteor. I had complete mastery of this skill; my mind control was perfect.

Joseph couldn't take it head-on. Regardless of whether he revealed his true form, being burned would be unbearable. He could only dodge, causing air ripples that I could see more clearly.

Although the flames were incredibly fast, Joseph, with his original abilities, could have easily dodged them. However, now severely injured and with damaged wings, he could only fly with difficulty, making dodging even harder. He barely avoided the first two flames, but the third flame burned his arm, causing him to scream in agony and fall to the ground.

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa cheered, "He hit! More accurate than a missile!"

Jenny collapsed to the ground, knowing that Joseph was beyond saving and doomed. My strength was deeply imprinted in her mind.

I used my mental ability to activate the Spinning skill, and the first two flames immediately spun around, accurately burning Joseph's bat wing as he plummeted. He struggled and screamed in agony, revealing his true form. He barely landed, afraid to extinguish the fire with his hands for fear of it spreading. He looked extremely disheveled, with some parts almost charred. Now Sweet Orange and Hasegawa could see him.

I didn't want to burn him; that would be too unpalatable. I quickly spread my wings and flew to him, instantly landing a punch to his chin, sending him flying and crashing to the ground. Then I stomped on him repeatedly, extinguishing the flames regardless of his pain. I dragged him, almost incapacitated, back to the ground, tossed him roughly, and carried him back to Sweet Orange's side.

I gave Jenny a cold, murderous look. She trembled involuntarily, standing frozen, too afraid to intervene, only able to watch helplessly.

I guessed she was conflicted. We saved her without truly harming her; logically, she shouldn't attack us, especially since she was weak and hopeless. Perhaps she even wished Joseph would die sooner, and that I would be better off as her master—after all, I was stronger.

In his current state, Joseph clearly couldn't cast the spell to take her back. She could only return to her original space by relying on me. She didn't want to betray her master, but the thrill of betrayal stirred something within her.

She's a descendant of Joseph, probably used as food and a sex slave. I don't know how Joseph got her; perhaps he was forced. There's no affection involved. It's normal for her to betray him when he's down on his luck. Why would she die for him?

While I might also use her as a sex slave, with my abilities, I'll make her happy, better than Joseph, and I certainly won't suck her blood. She'll definitely make the right choice.

I sneered, "A fallen phoenix is no better than a chicken. Nobody needs to be afraid of him now; he's no threat at all."

Sweet Orange pouted, "Poor little bat, Mom would be heartbroken if she saw him. I really want to stomp on him, I really want to feed him to the anaconda, but big brother should eat him!"

Hasegawa couldn't help but laugh, "A vampire count reduced to this state, might as well be dead."

Joseph, nearly knocked unconscious by my fall, caught his breath and slowly woke up. Hearing this, he almost fainted again. His dust-covered face couldn't hide his surprise. He mumbled, "How can you see me? That's impossible."

I laughed, "You think you can escape this way? You underestimate me. As long as you live, I'll find you. Although you can use spatial magic, you don't truly understand space; you only have a superficial understanding. You're not the only one who can use domain rules."

Joseph's eyes showed confusion, and he whimpered, "What do you mean?"

I sneered, "You're about to die, and you'll never know why. I'm going to eat you; roasted bats must taste delicious."

Fear flashed in Joseph's eyes; he probably really thought I was a cannibal.

I didn't waste words with him, offered no explanation, and stepped forward with a sinister grin.

Joseph suddenly roared hysterically, "Stop! If you force me again, I'll chant a spell, and no matter which dimension we go to, we'll all perish together! I'll fight you to the death! As long as you don't kill me, I'll take you back!"

I stopped and said, "You're lying to me. Once you recover, you'll leave on your own and won't help us. We'll be trapped here forever. Do you think I'm a fool? I don't believe you. Since you won't let us leave, I'll kill you first. Go ahead and chant the spell if you dare!"

Joseph roared incoherently, but after only two syllables, I coldly shouted, "Deprive!"

My Divine Eye locked onto his life magnetic field and immediately executed the deprivation power. He screamed in agony, unable to finish the spell, writhing on the ground in pain, clutching his head, his soul under my control, suffering greatly.

I said smugly, "How about that? Can't chant anymore! Now you're under my control."

He couldn't resist, couldn't speak, and could only struggle in agony.

Everyone present was astonished and fell silent for a moment, never expecting me to possess such a miraculous skill. Jenny's expression was complex, her eyes filled with both despair and a glimmer of hope.

I prepared to use the Star Absorbing Technique, and with a thought, a system notification sounded: Star Absorbing Technique skill preparation in progress. Star Absorbing Technique skill upgrade, upgrade immediately?

The stronger the better, I silently agreed. A current seemed to flow through my left arm, and the upgrade was completed instantly.

System notification: Star Absorbing Technique skill upgrade complete.

I coldly shouted, "Remove the deprivation."

Joseph relaxed slightly, his eyes flashing with ferocity as he stared at me, gritting his teeth with extreme hatred, roaring, "Since I'm going to die anyway, I'll fight you to the death! Go ahead and kill me, see how you get away. You'll be worse off than me, worse than dead!"

He suddenly slammed his hands on the ground, using all his strength to leap up, his almost crippled wings unfurling as he desperately pounced on me. Although fierce, his injuries rendered his attacks harmless.

I roared, "I don't need your help." I delivered a heavy punch, sending him crashing back, falling backward and howling in pain.

I silently chanted, "Use the Star Absorbing Technique upgrade function."

A system notification sounded: "Star Absorbing Technique's main skill, 'Python Swallowing Technique,' is ready to be activated; auxiliary skill, 'Octopus Plate,' is ready to be activated." "Activate immediately?"

I silently agreed. Suddenly, my left arm convulsed violently, and my incredibly thick, mutated arm instantly swelled, muscles bulging wildly, scales disappearing to reveal anaconda patterns. The bulging muscles completely enveloped my left hand and hook blade, forming a snake's head shape with golden python eyes and sharp fangs, just like a real anaconda.

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa couldn't help but scream in alarm. Jenny paled and cried out. Joseph stopped howling, his face changing drastically, his whole body trembling, completely helpless, paralyzed on the ground, speechless, only able to stare helplessly at me, powerless to escape, there was no way to run away. He should have realized the situation long ago; he could only obediently be swallowed by me.

I was so frightened I almost jumped, but having mutated multiple times before, I had a high tolerance for it. As long as my power increased, I didn't mind temporarily turning into this state. A slight tremor ran through me, but I quickly regained my composure.

As my abilities grew, my courage increased. If this had happened before the mutation, I would have been scared to death.

Sweet Orange cried out, "Big brother, that was terrifying! Can you turn back?"

I reassured her, "Don't be afraid, don't worry. It's a skill. I'll turn back after I absorb it."

Sweet Orange was relieved. Hasegawa's face turned slightly green; human psychological endurance is limited.

In a moment, my left arm grew several times thicker, similar to that of a anaconda. Although it lengthened, it wasn't too long. The back of it grew onto my shoulder, which remained perfectly normal. It simply materialized into a snake's head and a snake's body about half an arm's length.

Although my left arm had grown much thicker, its weight hadn't increased, or I couldn't feel it. My body hadn't lost its balance, and I was in good condition.

I hadn't noticed before whether the anaconda had fangs; I guessed the fangs in the front could spray corrosive liquid.

My left hand, along with its hook, was completely retracted into the snake's head, replacing the snake's core. The transformed snake head lacked a long, bright red core, but the hook was far more powerful. The suction cups in its palm opened, revealing a red core protruding from within—truly resembling the core of an anaconda.

I looked at my left arm, both amused and exasperated. Its function was incredibly powerful; I wouldn't be surprised by anything that happened in the future. I opened my snake mouth and moved the hook; everything was normal, completely under my control, as if it were innate. The

golden python's eyes were round and bright, sharp and piercing, seemingly still movable, but unable to see. I didn't know how to use them, but they must be usable, otherwise they wouldn't have grown out. I'll study them carefully later.

Joseph cried out in terror, "What is this thing?"

I opened and closed my snake mouth repeatedly, grinning maliciously as I stepped forward. "How should I know? Isn't it interesting! I'm going to swallow you whole."

He shrank back on the ground, and I approached, my voice chilling, "Are you just going to sit here and wait to die? Get up, let me have a good swallow."

Joseph knew he was about to die, and begging for mercy was useless. Perhaps spurred on by my words, he stopped retreating, forced himself to his feet, and leaped at me, kicking wildly, roaring, "Monster, die!"

He actually called me a monster? Aren't vampires monsters?

His timing was perfect, like food delivered right to my mouth. I pulled my left elbow back with all my might, like a bowstring drawn taut, and with lightning speed, I charged at him, my python mouth wide open.

Everyone gasped in surprise; it was a truly thrilling moment.

Joseph's kick landed squarely in the python's mouth, but it did me no harm. Taking advantage of the momentum, I swallowed him whole, biting his foot. My left arm extended rapidly, and the python's body seemed to stretch and contract, extending forward. An extremely strong suction force pulled his lower body into the python's mouth, leaving only his upper body exposed. In a flash, Joseph's attack seemed like he had jumped into the python's mouth. I swallowed him halfway in with ease, like a catcher catching a pitched baseball.

I laughed loudly, "Good boy, that felt good."

Joseph screamed in agony, struggling frantically, "No, let me out!"

But he couldn't break free from the python's grip. Sweet Orange and Hasegawa were no longer afraid and cheered loudly. Jenny covered her eyes, unable to watch any longer.

I laughed wildly, "Are you enjoying this? The more you struggle, the more I enjoy it. Try to escape if you dare."

Joseph howled, "Monster!"

I stabbed his sole with the hook blade in the python's mouth, and a stream of blood spurted out. He immediately screamed in agony.

I sucked my fill of blood from the python's mouth, feeling incredibly satisfied. I laughed loudly, "How dare you call me a monster! Watch how I torture you! Torturing bats is so much fun!"

Although my left arm extended beyond the python's body, I felt no discomfort whatsoever and maintained complete control. Holding my left arm, I watched Joseph struggling in the python's mouth, feeling immense pleasure.

My left arm was as supple as a serpent, twice the length of a normal person's arm, capable of twisting freely, changing direction at will, and flipping up and down—extremely comfortable and pleasurable. The powerful suction from the python's mouth prevented Joseph from escaping my control.

Sweet Orange and the others stared in disbelief, as if I were performing a circus act.

Joseph kept tumbling and howling inside the python's mouth, waving his arms, sometimes being tossed around in the air, sometimes being hung upside down, suffering terribly, foaming at the mouth—even bungee jumping wasn't this exhilarating.

Hasegawa shouted from behind, "Big brother, stop playing around, just swallow him already!" He probably thought what we were doing was perverted.

Joseph was almost dizzy from being shaken around when I finally bent my snake body and brought him to my face, grinning sinisterly, "No need to rush."

Joseph cried out for mercy, "Spare me! You can't get out without me."

I flicked my right hand, and a middle finger pierced his cheek like a diamond, twisting slightly to shatter his tongue. He immediately screamed in agony, unable to speak or chant incantations, his mouth gurgling and bleeding profusely.

Sweet Orange howled behind us, seemingly no longer afraid, finding it very exciting.

Hasegawa wore a bitter smile, probably thinking that Sweet Orange and I were both abnormal.

Chapter 5 ◆ The Artifact Recognizes Its Master

I withdrew my blood-stained finger and sneered, "Now you're mute, give up completely! You can't speak or chant spells anymore. I told you, I have a way to leave, I don't need your help."

Joseph was utterly despondent, his eyes gleaming as he glared at me. That was all he was capable of; if looks could kill, he would have torn me to pieces.

I grinned maliciously, "Want to bite me? Go ahead."

I stretched out my right hand, grabbed his left middle finger, and twisted it forcefully. With a snap, his middle finger broke off. He screamed in agony. I then removed the Ring of Eternity from his middle finger; its vibrant red held a fatal allure for me. I had long coveted it, not only to seize his memories and knowledge but also to obtain this vampire treasure. The little bat, with its power, could transform into a bat demon, proving its true strength.

Now I had finally achieved my goal. Just as I removed the ring, the system notification appeared: You have obtained the artifact Ring of Eternity.

I don't understand what an artifact is, but it must be very powerful. Joseph howled and glared at me, seemingly unwilling to let the vampire treasure be taken from him. This was probably more painful for him than the physical wounds, but he was powerless to resist.

I ignored him, grabbed him with my left hand, and held the blood-stained Ring of Eternity in my right. I turned my head and clenched my fist, saying, "The Ring of Eternity is mine now."

Hasegawa spread his hands and said, "Of course."

I grinned maliciously, "My good brother, you wouldn't help the Holy See steal it, would you? I trust you."

Although I said this, I was provoked and became somewhat ferocious, my eyes flashing with a fierce light, even more cunning and cruel than the eyes of a serpent.

If Hasegawa dared to do that, I would not want this brother anymore; I would kill him now to silence him.

Hasegawa couldn't help but shiver and waved his hands repeatedly, saying, "How could I do such a thing? Don't worry, brother. I only accepted a commissioned mission; I'm not a member of the Holy See. Now that the Ring of Eternity is yours, of course I'll give it up; I would never betray you."

This was my first failed mission, but it was nothing.

Seeing my fierce expression, he dared not voice any objection. He had to explain clearly; once I showed murderous intent, things would be irreversible.

Sweet Orange chimed in, "Agu wouldn't do that, don't worry, Big Brother."

After their life-or-death experience, Sweet Orange had a good impression of him and spoke up for him, probably sensing my murderous intent.

Hasegawa rolled his eyes like a dead fish, glanced at her, and looked helpless, clearly dissatisfied with the address. He smiled bitterly, "My name is Hasegawa Ibuki. You should call me Hasegawa Big Brother, or Ibuki Big Brother, or just Wei-ge for short. You can't just take a character from the middle of my surname and call me Agu. What would that mean?"

Sweet Orange giggled, "Calling you Agu is good enough. Calling you Wei-ge is fine too, Wei-ge... Wei-ge..."

She deliberately frowned and muttered.

Hasegawa said helplessly, "Just call me Agu then. Please don't call me Wei-ge. I still have to live!"

Sweet Orange giggled and waved her hand at me, indicating that I shouldn't worry. I didn't know the meaning of "Viagra," but I knew they were joking to ease the tension. Sweet Orange sensed my murderous intent; Hasegawa, a professional assassin and demon hunter, couldn't possibly be unaware that he was no match for me and didn't want to be my enemy, so this was the only way.

I nodded, "Very good."

I turned around; Joseph had stopped struggling, probably given up.

Hasegawa secretly wiped the cold sweat from his brow behind me, nodding gratefully to Sweet Orange. Sweet Orange pointed to my back and made a face. They thought I couldn't see, but I used all my eyesight, seeing everything clearly, and found it amusing. Am I a cruel person? I don't kill easily. I

didn't rush to absorb Joseph; first, I held the Ring of Eternity in my palm, placed it before my eyes, and carefully examined the ring's mysterious aura and vampire-like appearance. A surge of excitement welled up inside me; I decided to try it on.

My left hand was occupied, so I gently tossed the ring up with my right, extending my middle finger to meet it. My eyesight is sharp, and my movements are precise, but I suddenly realized that my right hand is now keratinized and quite large. The Ring of Eternity, being small and delicate, would likely have difficulty fitting onto my keratinized finger. A thought flashed through my mind, but my movements didn't stop. Before I could retract the ring, it slipped onto my right middle finger instantly, smoothly and without any resistance, as if tailor-made for me.

My sharp eyes clearly saw that the moment the ring touched my middle finger, the ring suddenly expanded, perfectly matching my keratinized finger, and successfully slipped on. I chuckled inwardly; my previous thought was unnecessary. How could a vampire treasure lack even this simple function?

I held my right hand, wearing the ring, to my eyes, finding it a perfect fit. In a flash, the ring flashed red—the light emanating from the ruby-like vampire eyes carved on it, seemingly alive, shooting straight into the sky. Although the red light was thin and elongated, it was clearly visible, like a laser beam. I was immediately astonished, and Sweet Orange exclaimed from behind.

Hasegawa asked, "What's wrong, brother?"

Before he could finish, a green laser beam refracted from the sky and instantly entered the vampire's eye on the Ring of Eternity. The red light disappeared immediately, but the ring shone brightly. I was confused and waved my hand behind me.

A system notification sounded: "The artifact Ring of Eternity is activated. Do you want to immediately execute the recognition program?" The program will take some time to execute and can be delayed. You are the first successor so far.

Jenny finally couldn't help but say, "What is that light? This has never happened before. It's really strange."

It seems that the vampires don't really understand the Ring of Eternity. I was overjoyed. So the ring needs to recognize a master. Great! After recognizing its master, it will truly belong to me.

I shouted, "Don't rush. I've discovered some very interesting new functions. Wait a moment."

Joseph, who had seen the strange sight of the laser beam, stared wide-eyed in the python's mouth, forgetting the excruciating pain. His face was filled with surprise and disbelief. He seemed not to understand why the ring was behaving this way, but his tongue was useless, and he could only whimper and couldn't speak. I glanced at him coldly. My strength far surpassed his, making me far more suitable to control the Ring of Eternity.

It must have tested my strength before recognizing me as its master. It hadn't previously executed the recognition process and hadn't displayed its true power, but its demonstrated strength was already formidable; this artifact was not to be underestimated. Joseph was unworthy to be its master; otherwise, he should have received a warning. Perhaps the system hadn't even started yet; he was simply unlucky. The Camarilla leader probably didn't know this secret; otherwise, how could he have so easily let it slip out of his control? How could his grandson have so easily lost to Andre? The vampires truly lack talent.

I said dismissively, "I overestimated you. Your abilities cannot unleash the full power of the Ring of Eternity. You were just bluffing earlier; you didn't actually grasp its power."

Joseph whimpered anxiously.

I said dismissively, "You've never seen anything like this before! You don't understand it."

Joseph's face was blank, his desperate eyes filled with resentment. He clearly couldn't understand why this was happening to me but not to him, a vampire. Wasn't the Ring of Eternity a vampire treasure?

I laughed, "You don't understand what I'm saying? You can't speak, but I understand your meaning. Do I need to explain? I'll tell you, so you can die knowing why, but you'll regret it. If you knew its power, perhaps you wouldn't have suffered such a crushing defeat today. I'll let you experience the taste of regret before you die."

I confirmed in my mind that the recognition process had begun. It seemed as if several tiny needles suddenly grew from the inside of the Ring of Eternity on my right middle finger, piercing my finger. Blood flowed continuously into the ring through the internal tubes of the needles.

A small red screen appeared before my eyes, showing the progress of the recognition process.

The progress was slow; the recognition process was limited by the speed of blood absorption. The micro-tubes inside the tiny ring were even smaller, making the blood extraction extremely slow. The recognition process was performed by extracting fresh blood; it truly lived up to its reputation as a divine artifact, unlike anything before.

I was somewhat surprised; my right hand was extremely hardened by keratinization, allowing a needle to pierce it and causing me pain, though bearable. The divine artifact was indeed extraordinary, miraculously powerful. If it recognized Joseph as its master, I wouldn't be able to defeat it easily.

I deliberately placed my right hand in front of Joseph, letting him see it clearly before he died. He was trapped in the python's jaws, powerless to resist, only able to regret it, probably regretting it to the core. The light from my body intensified, and his expression changed rapidly, truly a spectacle.

Seeing that I had subdued him, Sweet Orange and Hasegawa were no longer worried and slowly approached, very curious, wanting to take a look. My mutated form was too lethal, and I was afraid of accidentally injuring them, so they hadn't dared to get close before, even more afraid of being ambushed and taken hostage by Joseph, so they were very cautious. But Sweet Orange was terrified of my python-like left arm and dared not get too close.

Jenny joined in, but her abilities were insignificant. Joseph hadn't asked her to fight desperately, so it would be ineffective. Now that his tongue was useless, he couldn't speak even if he wanted to, so Jenny might not actually fight.

The ring absorbed

blood for a while, reaching just ten percent of its target. I chuckled, "The Vampire Treasure, the Ring of Eternity, is now recognizing you as its master. No wonder you can only use so little power; the artifact hasn't recognized you as its master yet, otherwise you wouldn't have died. The Camarilla leader must know this secret!"

Joseph bit his lip, as if it were about to bleed, extremely unwilling to accept defeat. The ring shone with an intense red light, almost blindingly so. The vampire sculpture on it seemed to come alive, its bright red eyes darting around, astonishingly.

Jenny's gaze towards me was no longer lost and cold; instead, it held a hint of envy and admiration. After all, I had gained the recognition of the Vampire Treasure, the Ring of Eternity, while Joseph could only stare blankly at what was once his.

I laughed, "It's drawing my blood now; it feels amazing."

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa exchanged exclamations of admiration. I looked at Joseph triumphantly. The program was twenty percent complete, and the vampire sculpture's wings began to flutter slightly, looking just like a living creature—it was unbelievable.

Everyone held their breath, watching intently, afraid to breathe or speak. Joseph's face was extremely pale. Physical pain meant nothing to him now; his heart was bleeding.

How could such a small ring hold so much blood? Although the straw was thin, drawing blood for so long still resulted in a lot of blood, though I didn't care about that. The ring's internal structure must be incredibly complex, perhaps even a miniature space—it's hard to comprehend.

Sweet Orange found it amusing and said sweetly, "Let me borrow the ring to play with later."

I found it somewhat amusing. Could I let her play with it like that? Besides, she might not even be able to take it off.

I replied dismissively, "I'll let you play with it after I help you regain your abilities."

Sweet Orange hummed in agreement, while Jenny's eyes gleamed with envy.

Hasegawa frowned, deep in thought, and exclaimed in admiration, "A small ring can absorb so much blood, and possesses such wondrous functions and power. It's truly mysterious and beyond description. Leaving aside its magical properties, its technological construction alone is breathtaking. This is definitely not a product of modern human civilization; Earth's civilization can't even come close."

A thought struck me. Could this be alien technology? Or a product of an ancient Earth civilization? I didn't understand, nor did I know where I was. It certainly wasn't Earth, but there must be some connection; otherwise, it wouldn't be here.

Joseph brought the Ring of Eternity here from Earth and established a connection with the mysterious system here, indicating a complex relationship. Their creators must have originated from an extremely advanced civilization. With my current knowledge, I can't understand any of this. Even Earth's top scientists probably wouldn't be able to figure it out.

I pondered for a while and said, "I'll definitely figure it out later."

Hasegawa thought for a moment and said, "No wonder the Vatican is so keen on seizing vampire treasures they can't use. It turns out there's a secret I don't know. The Vatican definitely knows the inside story, but most people probably don't. Only the Pope probably knows."

I nodded and said, "This is a clue. We can find out through them, but we can't walk into their trap. I must increase my strength. It won't be easy for the Vatican to take the ring from me. Besides, the artifact recognizes its master, so it's useless for them to take it."

Hasegawa said, "Brother, you will definitely become the target of various mysterious forces in the future. We need to prepare early."

Sweet Orange said worriedly, "We really need to be careful."

I said confidently, "Don't worry, we'll deal with whatever comes our way. The secret will be completely revealed one day. I'm so lucky, I'll definitely be fine."

Joseph listened to our conversation, anxious but speechless.

I was indeed very lucky. Although I didn't know the truth, I unknowingly upgraded the Star Absorbing Technique and had the artifact recognize its master. If the previous mutation was like being hit by a pie falling from the sky, this was like being hit by a gold brick.

The scene just now was indeed mysterious and bizarre. Was there a satellite in the sky? What kind of system is this? I couldn't see anything above my head; the sky was blue, just like Earth. The others were even more confused, unable to fathom it.

The system showed that the program was almost finished, and I was overjoyed. The vampire image on the Ring of Eternity was lifelike, seemingly extremely excited, but it hadn't detached from the ring. It was truly amazing.

I said casually, "Don't rush, the recognition process is almost finished."

Hasegawa asked, "How could you sense it, brother?"

I laughed, "I'll need your advice later. There are many interesting things to learn."

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa nodded curiously. The progress bar finally filled up, and the system notification sounded: The Ring of Eternity has completed its recognition process. Do you wish to fuse immediately? The fusion time is very short; immediate fusion is recommended.

I felt about half a bowl of blood being drawn from the ring. I silently agreed, and suddenly felt the blood flowing back from the ring, instantly surging into my body. The power of my blood increased wildly, and I felt an urge to release it.

I exclaimed excitedly, "The master recognition process is successful! The fusion is underway, and I feel my power increasing—it feels amazing!"

Sweet Orange and Hasegawa clapped their hands excitedly.

Joseph's eyes were glazed over; he no longer felt any regret.

The fusion process was quick, the blood exchange completed rapidly, unlike the complicated initial embrace of vampires.

System notification: Fusion complete. The boiling power of the blood gradually subsided within my body, temporarily hidden, ready to be unleashed at any time. The vampire image on the Ring of Eternity ceased its activity and gradually stabilized.

I let out a long sigh and said, "Mission accomplished! So lucky!"

Hasegawa said enviously, "Only Big Brother is this lucky."

I laughed, "When luck is on your side, all sorts of good things happen. Now it's time to execute him."

Hasegawa said, "This is the first time I've seen someone eat a bat. Everyone, enjoy the show! Let's get started!"

I suddenly opened and closed the python's mouth, adjusted its position, and forcefully shut it.

Joseph screamed in agony, "No..." Before he could finish, two sharp fangs pierced his thighs.

The fangs seemed to have straws inside, suddenly turning transparent, and blood and flesh essence gushed in with extremely strong suction, which everyone else could see clearly. Joseph's screams became even more shrill, his two powerful thighs gradually withered, his face twisted and contorted in extreme pain.

The two women turned pale, feeling nauseous, and immediately turned their faces away. Jenny had completely given up hope, had no ability to resist, and could only obediently wait to become a forbidden descendant of the monster. I had another beautiful body to enjoy.

Hasegawa was an assassin with a high tolerance for pain. He had seen mutated forms before and knew I had killed people, but he had never seen this kind of killing method. His face was filled with inexplicable horror, and he looked at me as if I were a monster. Fortunately, his nerves were strong, and he did not feel nauseous.

My current absorption speed is much faster than before the upgrade, but the absorption time is much longer. This is because the food is not ordinary humans, but powerful vampire counts, whose strength is roughly equivalent to the combined strength of thousands of mortals. After their transformation into bats and demons, their strength is even more difficult to estimate, so the absorption is naturally much slower, unlike before when it could be finished in tens of seconds.

Now, if I were to absorb an ordinary person, I could instantly turn them into a dried-up corpse. This is the first time I've absorbed someone so powerful, and the increase in my internal strength is extremely pleasant. I will soon gain vampire abilities and knowledge, which makes me very happy.

Although Joseph is a powerful vampire count, he can't withstand the upgraded version of the Star Absorption Technique. Looking at his gradually withering thighs and listening to his miserable howls, I suddenly felt a perverse pleasure.

I sucked at his flesh and marrow, laughing loudly, "I can completely seize your knowledge and memories, learn your magic, and you can't hold me here. Thank you for your generosity."

Joseph completely collapsed, his eyes lifeless and devoid of light. His screams weakened until he had no strength left to cry out. His legs were sucked dry, half his body was gone, but he wasn't dead yet; his vital organs were still there.

I started sucking from below, increasing his pain. The python's mouth swallowed him, taking some of him in, and continued sucking his upper body. Besides the fangs, the left hook blade inside the python's mouth easily pierced through the lower body, and the suction cups entered, assisting in the sucking. With both methods working simultaneously, the speed increased significantly. His strong upper body gradually withered, as if he had undergone liposuction. I began to suck his organs, enough to be fatal.

He screamed for a moment, then finally his body stiffened, he stopped struggling and screaming, and breathed his last.

Joseph's upper body quickly became completely shriveled, resembling a skeleton, unrecognizable from his previous robust form. His狰狞 (zhengning - ferocious/hideous) face withered and shrank, his cheekbones collapsed, and his eyes turned a deathly gray. Moisture was instantly drained, turning him silvery-white and then a dry powder. His hair became like ash-like withered grass, probably devoid of any water molecules.

My memories surged, countless images flashing through my mind. Joseph's true age was far greater than average, and his memory far exceeded that of ordinary people, but it meant little to my brain capacity. I quickly absorbed his brain, and in the blink of an eye, he became a skeletal head, truly dead. I had no way out; I had to research magic to leave this place.

System notification: You have gained vampire abilities through the Star Absorption Technique.

I had achieved my goal, and a surge of joy welled up within me.

Sweet Orange and Jenny covered their faces, peeking through their fingers at everything, gasping in astonishment.

Hasegawa sighed solemnly, "What a domineering absorption function!"

I laughed loudly, "It's done."

Corrosive toxins suddenly poured into the snake's fangs, and corrosive liquid sprayed out from the internal suckers, instantly flooding into the dried corpse. In just a few seconds, it corroded him from the inside out. As white powder continued to fall, the dried corpse gradually disappeared without a trace. The corrosion speed was much faster than absorption, and the function of destroying evidence was taken to a new level.

Everyone stared at all in disbelief, speechless.

After the absorption was over, I controlled my left arm to return to its original scale shape and said with relief, "It's all over. He's gone. We can leave here."

Sweet Orange patted her chest and said, "Thank goodness, it's good that we can leave quickly."

She was very concerned about my left arm and added, "It looks much better than a python this way."

Hasegawa breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Finally, there's hope of leaving." He was even less willing to stay here.

Fear flickered in Jenny's eyes. I beckoned to her, "Come here."

She obediently came to me, her eyes filled with undisguised terror. I gently touched her blood-stained face and collar with my strong right hand, trying to speak softly, "If you're obedient, I'll take you away and won't mistreat you."

Jenny's heart pounded, and she nodded silently. I could hear her tense heartbeat.

Sweet Orange said, "Let's get out of here quickly, go back to take a shower, and get a good night's sleep."

Hasegawa laughed, "We need to find a safe place here first, settle down temporarily, and then slowly figure out how to get back. It's dangerous here; there might be more anacondas coming."

Sweet Orange looked at me pitifully and exclaimed, "Aren't we supposed to go home and sleep right away? Why do we have to stay here?"

Did she think I was a god who could go back whenever she wanted? I smiled wryly.

Hasegawa explained, "Big Brother just absorbed it; it's impossible for him to immediately master all of his knowledge and memories. Using it rashly would be unsafe. We must be cautious."

He was indeed calm; this assassin was no ordinary person, considering all aspects of the situation.

I nodded and said, "That's true. I only have his memories now; I still need to master his knowledge. He has a lot of knowledge, and it will take time to digest it. I'm not familiar with his language yet. Anyway, the time won't change when we go back, so it doesn't matter."

Sweet Orange opened her mouth wide in surprise, groaned, and was extremely disappointed. She probably thought about my level of education; if I wanted to completely learn all the knowledge of the vampire count, I would also have to learn German, and she couldn't imagine how long that would take.

She was immediately annoyed; I shouldn't have told her about my education level earlier, as it really affected her confidence in me.

She lamented, "How many years are we going to stay here? I hope it won't be decades. Although time doesn't change in the original space, it's still very difficult. You'll have to send my ashes back by then."

I laughed, "You're too pessimistic. That won't happen. Trust me, we'll be back soon."

Sweet Orange bit her finger, her delicate eyebrows furrowing, and asked, "How soon is 'soon'?"

I laughed, "With my brainpower, I can learn those things very quickly, in a few days to a few months. Those memories and knowledge will automatically integrate with me; it's not as difficult as you think. You can't measure me by the learning speed of an ordinary person. Do I look like a normal person?"

Sweet Orange's face immediately lit up with joy, her confidence soaring. Her eyes darted around as she said, "That's right! Big brother isn't normal. Monsters learn very quickly, so I don't need to worry."

Chapter Six ◆ Victorious Escape.

Hasegawa visibly relaxed, laughing, "I'm relieved. I thought I'd be stuck here for years, but this isn't so bad. As long as we can get back, that's all that matters. The greater the hope, the greater the disappointment. We'll just have to take things as they come."

I smiled, "I absolutely won't let you down."

Sweet Orange sighed, "All my hopes are on you, Big Brother. I don't want to stay here for even a moment longer."

I teased her, "I'm with you, don't be afraid. You don't want me to use the wrong magic and teleport to the wrong space, do you?"

Sweet Orange trembled, "Big Brother, don't rush, take your time to figure it out."

I chuckled, "I want to stay here a little longer and uncover some secrets. There are some mysteries hidden here, and many strange things happened to me just now that you don't know about."

Hasegawa and Sweet Orange asked curiously.

A rustling sound came from all around, gradually approaching. I quickly said, "It sounds like anacondas are coming. There are quite a few, all around us. Let's get out of here first." As

soon as I finished speaking, more than a dozen large anacondas suddenly sprang out from the surrounding thickets, no smaller than the previous ones. They surrounded us from all sides, hissing and flicking their long tongues, relentlessly closing in. Their barrel-like bodies were terrifying. They seemed to know how to coordinate, lying in ambush from all sides, probably having prepared for a long time before suddenly attacking.

Hasegawa's attention had been focused on me, and he hadn't noticed them. He doesn't have superhuman hearing, so it's normal for him to miss something. Luckily, my hearing is exceptional, and I made up for it in time, preventing a successful attack by the snakes.

Sweet Orange and Jenny's faces paled, and they almost vomited.

Hasegawa drew his gun and said, "We need Big Brother's help to get out, otherwise we'll have to kill them all."

Sweet Orange cried out, "Big Brother, protect me!"

I quickly stopped Hasegawa, "Don't shoot. They're afraid of us now and won't dare to attack hastily. If you shoot, they'll feel threatened and rush at us immediately. I'll fly you out, hurry up. Jenny, turn into a bat and follow us."

Jenny nodded, "No problem."

She chanted a spell, and a cloud of black mist rose around her body, then exploded with a bang. A small black bat soared into the sky, swooping up first, waiting for us. She was really afraid of being bitten by snakes; she had almost lost her life before. I wondered where she had hidden her clothes. There were so many secrets among the vampires.

As she transformed, I pulled Sweet Orange over and crouched down.

Sweet Orange said, "I'll go up first."

She was terrified and grabbed my golden wings with both hands to climb up, but her movements were clumsy. Unlike before, when she was tied up with a rope, I didn't bring any rope.

Snakes swarmed around us, but they seemed to know my strength. Seeing their companion's corpse, they were perhaps intimidated and dared not attack easily, their slow pace giving us time to escape unhurriedly.

Hasegawa holstered his gun and sighed, "Hurry up and get on! But what about me? I can't just climb onto your back, that's too awkward. Big brother, carry me? But that seems even more awkward."

I gave a helpless bitter smile; of course it would be awkward. This isn't a human pyramid; can you do that?

I can fly, but without a rope to hold me, what if I fall? I'd be nothing but a pile of snakes, or I'd die from the fall—too dangerous. Carrying Hasegawa would be too unsightly; I'd rather carry Sweet Orange.

Hasegawa offered to help get Sweet Orange onto my back, but she realized what was happening and got off, saying, "What if I fall off? I'm weak, and there's no rope to hold me. Big brother, carry me."

The snakes were getting closer, and there was no time to hesitate. I quickly said, "I'll carry you."

I extended my keratinized right hand to hug her, which was safer, and at the same time, I let Hasegawa get on my back.

Sweet Orange cried out, "Big brother, don't use too much force, so you don't hurt me, but don't let me fall off."

She was so talkative. I scooped her up and held her tightly in my right arm, like an eagle snatching a chick, reassuring her, "Don't worry, I won't hurt you, and I won't let you fall."

Although I couldn't precisely control my mutated power, in this situation, I was careful and consciously controlled it, so the strength was about the same. Besides, I was holding her and not grabbing her too hard, so I wouldn't hurt her.

Sweet Orange was limp and trembling, like a noodle that couldn't stand up straight. Girls are afraid of snakes, and anacondas are indeed terrifying, especially so many of them at once.

She still had some strength in her hands, gripping my right arm tightly, afraid she would fall if we took off.

Luckily, she had some flying experience before, otherwise she would be even more terrified.

Hasegawa, on my back, said, "Secure her with your coat."

He quickly took off his black coat and helped tie Sweet Orange and me tightly together around the waist, using a long belt to secure her legs behind my waist—very safe.

His coat was quite long; he was very skilled, his tying technique was superb, and his movements were swift.

Sweet Orange finally felt somewhat relieved and thanked Hasegawa; he had indeed taken good care of her. The snakes were getting closer, and I could clearly hear their hissing as they flicked their tongues. I quickly urged Hasegawa to get on. Sweet Orange started screaming in terror, extremely nervous.

Hasegawa was much more agile than Sweet Orange. He leaped onto my back, gripped the bony spurs on my shoulders with both hands, and clamped his legs around my waist, firmly securing his body. He said, "Take off! I'm ready."

I immediately flapped my wings lightly, slowly taking off and flattening my body.

Seeing us about to run, the anacondas around us accelerated and charged, but they were a step too slow, and we managed to escape. In an instant, our original spot was occupied by a swarm of anacondas, a truly gruesome sight.

Below, the anacondas roared defiantly, their mouths agape, as if about to leap up and bite us; they were only a few meters away from biting Sweet Orange. I had already accelerated my ascent; they couldn't succeed.

Carrying Sweet Orange on my back, I dared not fly too fast, only ascending slowly. Sweet Orange screamed in terror at the scene below, her body limp, her legs clenched tightly together. Had she not been frightened earlier, she would have surely wet herself.

Hasegawa, holding firmly to the bone spikes on my back with one hand and using his legs to stabilize our body, pulled out a large-caliber pistol from his pocket and fired a shot, blowing the head off the highest-rising anaconda below. The bullet entered through the snake's mouth and exited from its top, blood splattering as the snake's carcass fell to the ground. Only then did Sweet Orange feel a little better.

Hasegawa holstered his gun and laughed, "Killed one, that was satisfying! Finally, I can breathe a sigh of relief."

He didn't need to fire; he was just trying to comfort Sweet Orange. Beneath his carefree exterior lay a meticulous heart.

I flew into the air and reunited with Jenny, who had transformed into a bat. No need to worry about the snakes below; just hold onto Sweet Orange.

I asked Jenny, "Are you alright?"

Jenny could speak in this form: "I'm fine."

I flew slowly forward, guided by instinct, unsure of where I was going. I needed to find a safe place first, taking care of Sweet Orange and Hasegawa, so I couldn't fly too fast. Jenny was very accommodating, slowly following beside me, circling left and right.

We were more relaxed now, especially after killing Joseph and absorbing his memories. Jenny was still with us; there was no need to rush, and rushing wouldn't help. A leisurely ride through the air felt good; let's relax for a bit.

Hasegawa said contentedly, "Let's fly slowly; a leisurely ride feels so good. I've never driven a sports car like this before. Flying in an airplane is never this exciting."

I smiled bitterly to myself; it turned out I'd become a free passenger.

Sweet Orange complained, "Of course it's fun for you on top, but it's so uncomfortable for me down here. My arms are sore, it's not fun at all."

Hasegawa laughed, "Who told you not to come up? You're not happy being held, are you? It's so comfortable."

Actually, I was enjoying it, feeling the two soft mounds of flesh on Sweet Orange's chest, it was quite a unique sensation, but I didn't dare to relax. Sweet Orange let out a soft moan, I wondered if she was comfortable.

Hasegawa sighed, "There are so many anacondas here, more than in the Amazon. They're very similar, probably from Earth. I don't know how they got here, but they must be related to Earth. They're much stronger than anacondas on Earth, I don't know why, maybe it's due to the rules of the domain. There's no human life here, it's really strange."

I didn't know much, and sighed, "It's terrifying that there are such powerful snakes on Earth."

Hasegawa said, "The anaconda is the largest snake in the world, reaching up to ten meters in length and weighing over 225 kilograms. It's as thick as an adult man's torso. Most anacondas are less than five and a half meters long. They love water and usually inhabit muddy banks and shallow waters, preying on water birds, turtles, capybaras, tapirs, and even swallowing caimans that are two and a half meters long."

I asked curiously, "You're an assassin, how do you know so much? Have you ever been on a jungle adventure?"

Hasegawa laughed, "Of course not. What would I do there? Feed the anacondas? But I have experience."

I asked in surprise, "What experience?"

Hasegawa said, "I've watched Hollywood movies; that's experience."

I was speechless. Did he really think he could navigate the jungle with just that little bit of experience? Without me, he was doomed.

I laughed, "Actually, it would have been easy to kill them all just now, but there's no need for us to struggle with a bunch of beasts here; it's pointless. I don't want to suck any more; one is enough."

Hasegawa said, "Kill them all? Impossible; you can't protect us."

I said nonchalantly, "I'm fast; it's easy to kill them."

Hasegawa said, "You must not have noticed their numbers."

I asked doubtfully, "Aren't there just those dozen or so surrounding us?"

Hasegawa said, "You really didn't notice? Look down now."

I was only focused on finding a suitable place to rest nearby and hadn't paid attention to what was below, but Hasegawa did. We weren't flying very high now, so he could see the ground clearly.

If we flew too high, I was afraid they would have difficulty breathing, and I also had to take care of Jenny; I didn't know how high bats could fly, and I couldn't let her exert herself too much. The flight altitude affected my vision, preventing me from seeing very far, but I wasn't in a hurry. If I really couldn't find anything, I would fly higher. This rainforest was vast; after flying for a while, at this altitude, it stretched as far as the eye could see.

I looked down and was shocked: "How come there are so many?" Many places below were densely covered with huge anacondas.

Sweet Orange, who hadn't been paying attention before, was drawn by Hasegawa's words and looked down. She screamed in terror, her body trembling violently. I figured if she were put on the ground, she would collapse. I quickly comforted her, telling her not to be afraid.

Hasegawa said, "They'll swarm at you. How can you kill them? You're not in any real danger, but you definitely won't be able to save us. We're doomed."

Although I wasn't sweating, a chill ran down my spine. It was indeed dangerous. Luckily, we escaped in time; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable. I asked in surprise, "Were they really lured here by Joseph?"

Hasegawa said decisively, "Impossible. Joseph isn't the snake king. Maybe they're in their mating season. Otherwise, they wouldn't be gathered together. Normally, they each have their own territory and wouldn't invade each other's territory."

Sweet Orange cried out, "Big brother, please hold on tight! If we fall, we'll be in big trouble!"

There were so many anacondas down there; falling down would mean falling into their mouths, and even if we didn't die from the fall, we'd be swallowed whole.

I teased her, "I won't let them swallow you. If you're scared, close your eyes."

She actually closed her eyes and laughed, "That feels much better. Looking at those snakes was disgusting."

Hasegawa laughed, "Why don't we have Big Brother conjure up a python's head again and let you hide in its mouth? That would be the safest."

He was so creative! I laughed heartily; the idea was brilliant. Jenny next to me also laughed.

Sweet Orange's face turned pale, her delicate body trembled, and she gagged twice, saying, "Who came up with this brilliant idea? What if Big Brother accidentally swallows me while I'm hiding inside? It's too dangerous; I'll be scared to death."

We laughed loudly and flew away from our original spot.

I slowed down, saying, "We don't need to fly too fast. Let's slow down here, figure out our direction, and not fly aimlessly. We need to find a safe place to rest as soon as possible so I can study the magic to get back. I also hope to return to our original world as soon as possible. Before that, I want to explore the secrets of this space."

Hasegawa said, "We do need to find a place to think about our next move."

Although Sweet Orange wanted to get back as soon as possible, she could only listen to me now. She suggested, "Let's find a place with water to wash up first. The blood on our bodies is too uncomfortable."

Jenny, who had been silent all along, chimed in. She was covered in blood from the anaconda and was in great discomfort.

I told Jenny to slowly stop in mid-air, gently flap my wings, and stay in place so she could rest on my left arm. I was full of energy and didn't get tired from flying for a long time, but the little bat would get tired. I took good care of her, and Jenny happily landed on my arm.

Sweet Orange complained from below, "I'm the most pitiful one now."

I laughed. Her current posture was indeed pitiful, but I was even more pitiful. I was holding one in my arms, one on my back, and one standing on my left arm. It was practically a super free flight.

I asked Jenny, "Do you know where there's a safe water source around here?"

Jenny shook her little bat head and said, "I don't come here often, and I don't have the ability to come. I've only been here two or three times with Joseph occasionally. I'm not familiar with this place, and Joseph probably isn't either."

I was immediately disappointed.

Hasegawa said, "Finding a safe water source here is too difficult. There are definitely crocodiles or anacondas in there."

I sighed, "As long as there's water, that's fine. With me here, I won't let you be in any danger."

Jenny said pitifully, "We can only search slowly."

I remembered an important question and asked, "Is the time calculation here the same as in our original space?"

Jenny stammered, "I'm not very clear on how it's calculated, but it should be about the same."

She didn't know anything about it, and I was completely frustrated.

Hasegawa advised, "Let's just take it one step at a time."

Sweet Orange said, "Let's find a water source first, but what about food? We can't go back right away. Won't we starve to death? I won't be like my older brother, randomly sucking up water. I don't want to eat anacondas every day. Even if we don't starve to death, we'll be disgusted to death."

This was indeed a serious problem, and I could only place my hopes on Hasegawa.

He didn't disappoint me, laughing, "Don't worry, we won't force you to eat the anaconda. There's plenty of wild game here, and with your brother here, you don't need to worry about food."

Jenny suddenly said, "I just remembered something."

I asked curiously, and she said, "Joseph seems to have built a villa here before, a place to live."

I said angrily, "Why didn't you say so sooner? We've been flying for so long for nothing."

Jenny said aggrievedly, "Didn't you ask me about the house just now!"

Couldn't you have told me if I didn't ask?

She added, "I went there a long time ago, it's been several years since I last went there, I'd completely forgotten, but I remembered when you guys talked about food."

Sweet Orange asked in surprise, "Is there food there?"

Jenny said, "Of course there is. Although I don't come here often, Joseph comes here frequently, as if there's some secret here. He not only built a vampire castle-style villa here, but there are also buildings around it that resemble military bases, protected with Earth's high technology. Every now and then he sends over some things, including food, fresh water, clothes, and weapons."

I was overjoyed, but a suspicion arose in my heart. Could it be that he had already discovered a mysterious system here?

Sweet Orange, without thinking too much, exclaimed with delight, "As long as there are clothes, food, and water, I can get a good night's sleep."

Does she only eat and sleep? She was probably woken up in the middle of the night and is still sleepy, eager to catch up on her sleep.

Hasegawa was more concerned about the weapons, saying, "We'll be safer with weapons. What kind of weapons is he preparing?"

Jenny said, "His place is practically an armory. He has every weapon imaginable except nuclear bombs. He spent a fortune buying military helicopters, reconnaissance planes, and tanks from Russia and the United States, as well as all sorts of firearms and explosives."

Hasegawa exclaimed in surprise, "Isn't that a bit much?"

Jenny said, "It's no exaggeration at all. He spent billions of dollars buying weapons. He brought me here, and I saw some of the weapons. I heard there are fighter jets and nuclear submarines, but I don't know where they're stored. Maybe the submarines are in the nearby ocean. I haven't been there; only he knows the location."

Hasegawa said, "What is this madman planning to do here?"

I pondered, "He knows there's a huge secret hidden here, but he hasn't discovered it yet. He's making preparations, but unfortunately, we thwarted it before he could succeed. No wonder he had that expression back then, though he couldn't speak. He's basically doing all the work for us."

Sweet Orange He laughed, "These are all ours, right, big brother?"

I laughed, "You're so clever."

Hasegawa said, "Luckily, he doesn't have nuclear weapons. It seems he doesn't want to destroy this place."

Jenny said, "It's not that he doesn't want to buy them, but that he can't. Nuclear testing is now prohibited, and countries have very strict control over nuclear weapons. If they fall into the hands of terrorists, the consequences would be unimaginable. Terrorist organizations like the Red Dragon Army don't have nuclear weapons either. But he bought a lot of Peacekeeper, Trident, Tomahawk, Harpoon, Patriot, and other missiles that can carry nuclear warheads. I wonder how he bought them."

Hasegawa said, "He's a complete madman. There's no one here. What is he going to bomb with all this stuff? He's even preparing surface-to-surface and submarine-launched intercontinental ballistic missiles—these are strategic missiles—as well as cruise, surface-to-air, and anti-ship missiles. He's got so much money to burn; all he's missing is air-to-air missiles."

I chuckled and said, "He probably wants to be prepared. There must be something he wants here." "He certainly wouldn't waste his talents bombing anacondas."

Jenny said, "He's also planning to launch a reconnaissance satellite here, costing hundreds of millions of dollars."

Hasegawa sighed, "What a wealthy and powerful man, it's a pity he'll end up as food."

I asked Jenny, "How do you know so much? Did he tell you?"

Jenny said, "He seems to know some secrets, which he usually keeps from me. I'm just his descendant slave, he wouldn't tell me these things, but sometimes he'd unintentionally reveal them, and he even brought me here, so I know some things, but I haven't seen many things in detail, I've only ridden in an armed helicopter once, maybe he's showing off."

I nodded and said, "He must know the secrets here, otherwise he wouldn't do this. He's not a simple vampire count, otherwise how could he have so much money? And use such a large force to research this place. I estimate this money is equivalent to most of his fortune."

Jenny said, "He's not usually particularly extravagant, but he's never stingy in these areas, almost investing..." "All his assets. He probably started the company to make money mainly for this purpose."

I sighed, "He paid such a high price, the secret here must be extraordinary. How long has he been researching here? Do you know the specifics?"

Jenny shook her little bat head and said, "I don't know the specifics. He's very secretive and doesn't tell anyone. I guess even the higher-ups within the Vampire Camarilla don't know. I only know that he's been researching here alone for over ten years. From the tone of his voice, I can sense that this involves a major secret of the vampires."

Mentioning the secrets of the vampires, I couldn't help but glance at the Ring of Eternity on my right hand and said, "This ring must be related to the secret here."

Jenny said, "Very likely. Usually, this ring is kept by the Camarilla leader, and he can't get it. But this time, the ring was stolen by Andre, and he volunteered to search for it. He must have wanted to use the ring, but you got it."

Joseph is dead, so she simply told me all the secrets, without hiding anything from me.

I laughed, "This ring will definitely play a crucial role in uncovering the secrets here. Perhaps the Secret Society doesn't know this, otherwise they would have used it long ago. Before, the ring didn't recognize a owner, so they wouldn't know the real secret."

Sweet Orange was held tightly by me, seemingly a little tired, and clung to my right arm with both hands, saying coquettishly, "Big brother, don't say these things, let's go rest there quickly, I'm very tired like this."

I smiled and comforted her, "We'll go rest right away, just hang in there a little longer." I asked Jenny, "Where is the villa he built? Can you take us there?"

Jenny said with difficulty, "I can't find it either."

Sweet Orange exclaimed in surprise, "How can you not find it?"

I asked, "Didn't you go there before?"

Jenny said, "He took me there before, but I can't remember the way, I don't know which way to go."

So she has no sense of direction, I was completely frustrated, there was really nothing I could do. You didn't say there was a villa beforehand, and now that you've mentioned it, you don't know the way, isn't this just deliberately trying to annoy me! Sweet Orange kept complaining in my arms, sighing and asking me to think of a solution, what solution could I possibly come up with?

Jenny added, "I only remember we'd cross a river along the way."

I comforted Sweet Orange, "Never mind, we'll find it ourselves. With the river as a guide, it'll be easy."

Sweet Orange said pessimistically, "This place is so big, how are we going to find it? We're relying entirely on Big Brother."

Jenny said, "We can go to the river to wash up. The villa only has drinking water; there's no water source for bathing nearby because the damp, low-lying ground makes it impossible to build a proper house or base."

Sweet Orange said, "It's good enough if we can wash up first. Let's go quickly."

I sighed, "I hope my good luck hasn't run out yet..." "Find it as soon as possible."

Jenny said, "The river is very long and wide, and the villa and base are enormous. It took him over twenty years to build it. Although he did it alone, given the abilities of a vampire count, it took an extremely long time. Of course, time is spent here, but time outside remains the same. If you fly high up and look from afar, it should be easy to find, but you need good eyesight."

I said happily, "That's not difficult. Don't worry, my eyesight is excellent. I can see the ground clearly from high up, let alone large-scale buildings. I'm about to take off, so be careful, hold on tight, and don't fall."
