I've been lurking on this forum for a long time. My relationship with my wife was pretty peaceful, but I wanted some excitement, so I suggested she find a lover. I tried to reason with her, but she always refused. After all this time, I figured she might genuinely not want to go out and have a lover. Afraid of hurting our relationship, I'd let it go.
But last month, I accidentally opened her WeChat and discovered what I'd let go of: she was having an affair. For a moment, it felt like time stopped. I couldn't accept it. I'd been deceived. Seeing her flirting with her lover on WeChat felt like swallowing a fly. I immediately thought about divorce, but then I thought about our years together, our children, and my life without her. She's a strong-willed person; if her parents found out, she definitely wouldn't come home. She's relied on me so much all these years; what would she do without me? But the thought of her in bed with someone else keeps haunting me; it's really painful.
