Some questions I've had since I was single: What's the right way to find a partner?

I'm a junior in college, and I've never been in a relationship. I hadn't paid much attention to dating before. It wasn't until I noticed my friends were all getting partners that I realized something was wrong.

I asked my friends who were in relationships, and they said either they had various coincidences that led to them getting to know each other, or the girls pursued them.

Looking at myself, I spent half my college years in my dorm taking online classes, and I couldn't even leave campus, so I had virtually no opportunities to meet women. Quite a few girls did reach out to me, but it was all because I needed computer repairs. Even when a few girls added me on social media, I didn't know what to say. So it's not that I'm aloof or anything; I just lack that talent and ability.

Everyone says, "These days, you can't get girls; you can only attract them." I've personally verified that. A while ago, I pursued a girl for the first time, and it was quite successful. We were almost at the point of officially becoming a couple, until one day she suddenly started deliberately distancing herself from me for no apparent reason. Her friends and family thought it was incredibly absurd.

Many friends joked that "good computer repairmen are always backup options" and "Good guys never get girls." These two sayings are very fitting for me. So

, I'm really wondering: what kind of guys do girls like these days? What's the right way to find a partner these days? And what's the right path to self-improvement?
