My romantic encounter

A small thing can make me feel romantic and excited for a long time, without any consequences. I become easily happy and easily satisfied, with no cost whatsoever. Where can you find such a good thing?
Others go out to have romantic encounters with people, but I have romantic encounters with not only people but also with things. I'm often infatuated, acting recklessly, and forgetting
everything else. Everyone says airplane food is bad, but I shamelessly love the coffee on airplanes, ordering two cups and drinking them with shining eyes. Once, I flew on a Vietnam Airlines flight and saw their menu, which had a lot of ethnic characteristics. I really wanted to keep it, so I tentatively asked the flight attendant, and to my surprise, she readily agreed, even giving me a polite smile. I took that menu home and turned it into a beautiful decoration. Several people have asked about it, but no one has guessed it's an airplane menu. It lists the available meals on the plane, very homey and simple.
Last year, during my trip to Hangzhou, the hotel provided me with a pair of incredibly beautiful hand-embroidered slippers. Wearing them made my feet look exceptionally alluring, and I happily showed them off in my room for ages. Naturally, I shamelessly went back to ask for them back, and the kind staff, seeing how much I cherished them, sold them to me at cost price. I felt like I'd gotten a steal—a pair of slippers, really? But for me, absolutely! Wasn't this a romantic encounter? When you find something you like, you're completely captivated. Those slippers instantly became my treasure, and I wore them every day after returning home, feeling incredibly alluring.
But the best part didn't end there. I also have a passion for collecting hotel toiletries. Some hotels have personalized packaging with a local flavor, which looks quite nice in the bathroom. My bathroom is filled with hotel toiletries from all over the world. When the mood strikes, I can take out Japanese toiletries in a ceramic jar that looks like tea leaves for a luxurious Tokyo bath, or use Southeast Asian herbal soaps for a fragrant bubble bath. And of course, there are also pretty printed shower caps, which have even become my home accessories, used to protect against cooking fumes—super pretty and sexy!
Once, while browsing in a small shop in Guangzhou, I saw a beautiful commemorative watch on the saleswoman's wrist. I was immediately captivated and asked her where it came from. She said she'd worn it for many years and wanted to replace it. Hearing this, I immediately offered to sell it to her. I bought it for 50 yuan, and everyone was happy. I became one of the most peculiar customers in that shop, having bought the saleswoman's personal item. That unique watch, like a beautiful bracelet, has been with me ever since. Every time I appear in public, people immediately notice it and ask where I bought it—a designer brand—asking why they'd never seen this style before. So unique! Ah, thinking back, I was so proud of myself.
The funniest thing ever happened: Once, in a Bai ethnic minority restaurant in Yunnan, I found a piece of hand-embroidered homespun cloth from Dali. My eyes lit up, and I wanted to ask for it, but I was afraid of being rejected. So, I went to that restaurant for three consecutive days, hoping to impress them. On the last day, I couldn't resist anymore and asked the price. To my surprise, the owner readily said, "This cloth has been used for many years. If you want it, take it. Don't worry about the price. You've been a patron of our business every day; we should give you a new one." I quickly said, "This one is fine; I don't need a new one." Good heavens! I took that cloth home and didn't even want to wash it. I just dried it in the sun and continued using it. I wanted that feeling. An old table was set up in the living room, and this tattered cloth was laid out—it created a wonderful atmosphere. Friends who came to visit loved it.
My children and I had a wonderful encounter with it, and our hearts were filled with joy. In this materialistic age, it's not that there's no happiness, but rather that you don't even have the mind to discover it; your eyes are fixed elsewhere. Therefore, you're unhappy. A person who loves life will definitely receive double the reward.
