A few days ago, I met a couple. A guy from Shanghai added me on WeChat. He said he wanted to find a single man for his wife, preferably a college student, so he thought I fit the bill. He said his wife liked young, handsome men. I told him I was inexperienced and a virgin. He was understanding, saying it was better that way, at least I was healthy. His idea was to get to know each other for a few months, then meet in person, and only proceed if there was a connection. He also said he wouldn't be there during the actual encounter, which was exactly what I'd been dreaming of. It was my first time, so I was very nervous. That night, I video-chatted with him. He thought I was pretty good-looking and gave me his wife's WeChat ID, telling me whether I could win her over depended on my skills. We added each other on WeChat.
I don't use WeChat much, so after adding her, we chatted briefly. It was 11 pm, and we talked until about 12:10 am. On WeChat, I saw her photo; she was around 28 to 30 years old, quite beautiful and mature—exactly my type of mature woman. My older brother told me that he and my sister-in-law live apart; he lives in Shanghai, and she lives in a western province (I won't say which province, out of respect). She usually comes to Shanghai once a month. She stays up very late, and we chatted until after midnight. I was very sleepy, so I said goodnight to her and went to bed.
The next morning around 11 am, I talked to my brother again, mentioning my concerns. He suggested we drink some wine and play cards when we met. I told him I don't know how to play cards, and I'm terrible at karaoke—I'm tone-deaf—but I'm good at drinking (we Shandong men can generally hold our liquor, haha). Then he encouraged me to talk to my sister-in-law again, saying she was shopping. I said, "Okay, let's eat something and talk again." It was noon, and I went downstairs for lunch. I had some things to do, so around 2 PM I contacted my sister-in-law again. To my surprise, she deleted me on WeChat. I had sent her a message, but she had verified her identity. Then I messaged my brother, and he deleted me that evening too. I'm so confused; I don't know why.
That night, when I was chatting with my sister-in-law, I said she was mature and generous. My brother advised me to compliment a woman on her youth and beauty. Did I say something wrong? Also, the next day, I uploaded a profile picture to WeChat that I took two years ago in the mountains. Does my sister-in-law think I'm not good-looking, or that I look too young? I'm 172cm tall and weigh 57kg, which is on the thin side. I wear glasses, but I'm confident I'm not bad-looking. My classmates all say I'm good-looking.
