In 2005, my child entered junior high school. He loved playing games. Although we already had a computer at home, we sometimes let him play some hard drive games. At the time, we'd heard the internet was chaotic, so we never connected. One time, while visiting relatives in Chongqing, I saw my cousin's child playing online games. It was very different from hard drive games and much more exciting. My child also really wanted to play online, so when we got home, we decided to go online. That's how my
online gaming journey began. My first online game was "Swordsman World," which I saw at my relative's house. Anyone who played it knows it was the most popular game in the country at the time, and also the most expensive. I initially just wanted to play for fun, but I got hooked. Because of my sincerity, many friends gathered around me. We first formed a clan, then a guild. But the server was mostly populated by people from Northeast China, so I experienced the straightforwardness and boldness of the North. I didn't stop playing until 2010 due to work and other interests. However, I'm very grateful to that game and the friends who accompanied me for five years.
Back then, I was playing a martial arts game, and choosing a name was really difficult. After thinking it over, I decided that it had to fit the game's background, so I named myself "Ximen Qing of Northern Sichuan." It turned out pretty good; many friends said it was a nice name, and I really liked it when people called me "Ximen." So even now, I still use this name for many online registrations.
