My experience of encountering a bar scammer while on a business trip to Beijing

A few days ago, I went to Beijing on a business trip to meet a netizen I'd only known for a few days, nicknamed "69." She claimed to be 30 and said her husband was abroad. During our chat, she replied very slowly and seemed very busy. After a brief introduction, she asked for my phone number, saying we could meet to get to know each other better. After arriving in Beijing, I called her and we arranged a time and place. I rushed to the meeting place after finishing my business and called her to let her know I'd arrived. She told me to wait a few minutes, and she came over. My first impression of her seemed okay, but later I realized something was off. After a few pleasantries, she suggested we go for a drink. I was worried she might be a scammer and asked her what she did for a living. She replied that she owned a cosmetics store. I asked if her store was far from the meeting place, and she said it was very far. However, in our online chat, she had said she worked near the meeting place. I asked her why we were meeting so far from her store, and she replied that she was worried about safety. During the conversation, she kept walking forward until I saw a coffee shop. She said, "Let's go in and have a drink." I felt something was definitely wrong, so I suggested we go to her store to take a look. She said it was too far and added, "Can't you just buy me a drink?" By this time, I was certain she was a bar scammer. I made an excuse that I had a lot of things to do that afternoon and quickly left! While waiting for a car on the roadside, I noticed she hadn't left but was still making phone calls. It seemed like many people were planning to meet her at the same time!
I'm sharing this personal experience to warn everyone: be vigilant and don't get scammed! 1. Friends generally don't ask for or leave their phone numbers without knowing you first. 2. Be wary of anyone who doesn't care about your personal history after meeting you and only wants to take you to coffee shops, restaurants, or other places that require spending money. 3. Don't go to any places she wants to go; there's definitely something wrong. 4. If you don't go to any places she wants to go and don't go with you, then she's almost certainly a bar scammer. 5. Don't enter any establishments she wants to take you to; don't even go inside. Who can guarantee there aren't a few burly men waiting for you inside? 6. If you sense something is wrong, leave immediately. You can make an excuse to leave while outside the door, but once you enter the place she takes you, you'll sometimes find it difficult to escape. A burly man will stay by your side, even following you to the toilet!
The internet is complex; there are all sorts of people out there. Don't let the excitement of meeting her in person cloud your judgment. Keep a clear head and don't be fooled!
