A jerk is just being pretentious.

Those familiar with me might know that I once got angry and posted a complaint on the forum about a single man. There were many comments; some thought it wasn't worth getting angry about, some thought I was overreacting, and some thought I was making up a story! But it actually happened again!!
A couple of days ago, my husband said goodbye to me and received a call from someone who said he was a friend of mine from last year, someone we'd arranged to meet but hadn't met. I kept thinking back but couldn't quite place him. I asked him his online name, "69," and he replied that he changes his name frequently, so maybe we didn't remember him. He insisted we meet, and I agreed, thinking it was nice that he still remembered us.
But when we talked about the meeting place: he wanted us to come to his place, which was a bit far. So I suggested a compromise: we each walk half the distance to a place everyone could find. After saying goodbye, he said it was too far, he didn't have a car, it was inconvenient to get around, etc. We suggested he take a taxi, but he said there were no taxis. We thought we could find a private car, but we couldn't even find one! Did he live on Saturn and only have spaceships??
That's when it dawned on me—it was that single man from last year! It was a scene from the past! Last time you were worried about safety and didn't want to meet, so be it. A year later, you should be prepared and confident to contact me again, right? Why are you still so hesitant? Is he just looking for fun to mess with us, or has he gone crazy again?
Later, he contacted my husband, and he told him to get lost, that 69 wasn't a place for him. Maybe we were just in a terrible mood when we said that, but his behavior is really baffling.
The day before yesterday, I arranged to meet a friend from 69. As soon as he heard the address, he immediately arranged a time to meet. The date went smoothly, we clicked, and things naturally progressed. Why does he have such confidence and boldness? I personally think he's a person of character and ability, unafraid of being exposed, and has the confidence. Who wouldn't like a single man like that?
