My husband and I are very loving, but after twenty years, the initial passion has faded, and our daily lives have become mundane. We share only familial affection, but deep down, there's always a feeling of wanting a different way of life.

She told me she and her husband had been having marital problems for several years, but they were just making do for the sake of their child.
