When I was young -- Spring Festival

Ever since Xue had someone mess with her for two nights over an iPhone, Li quickly found out. For a while afterward, every time Li saw me, she would deliberately bring up the topic, even saying she'd introduce Xue to a man and asking if I was jealous!
Before I knew it, the end of the year was approaching. Xue and I both quit our jobs and were scheduled to go home with me on the 26th of the twelfth lunar month. Xue had bought some gifts for my parents a few days in advance. Although I'd met them several times before, Xue was still very thoughtful. The gifts weren't expensive, but they were practical things for my parents.
In our area, the Spring Festival is basically a family reunion dinner, followed by visiting elders and relatives. Before going home, Xue and I had discussed it and decided to spend a few days with both sets of parents. It's rare to get together once a year, so we wanted to spend more time with them. Therefore, some topics were unavoidable, such as both sets of parents subtly asking when we were getting married.
The fifth day of the first lunar month is Valentine's Day. I got up early and went with Xue to the university campus where we met, fell in love, and got to know each other. The campus was largely unchanged and deserted. We strolled around, chatting about old classmates, past events, and even a former rival. We also talked about Xue's few fleeting romances!
After the Spring Festival, it was time to head back. Xue's cousin wanted to go out to work, so his parents asked Xue to look after him. The three of us boarded a train south, returning to that city known as the "sex capital," back to our little apartment.
Back in the south, a very real problem arose: we rented a single room, and now with one more person, we had to squeeze into one bed—two guys and one girl! I slept in the middle, with Xue and her cousin on either side!
