We got a dozen beers and a bottle of red wine. The women drank the red wine, and my buddy and I drank the beer.
His wife was clearly more experienced; she didn't pour much for my wife's first glass, only about a third full. But she kept clinking glasses with my wife, and my buddy joined in, saying it was a rare get-together, and a little wine would be nice. The second glass was more than half full. The third glass was almost full. But it was clear she wasn't drinking anymore, she was just looking for alcohol. I thought that was enough, so I told her to rest, otherwise she might throw up on the spot. Besides, a slight buzz is nice, but being drunk is no fun.
While my wife was resting next to me, my buddy suggested we switch seats. He said his wife could drink, and he'd take care of her while she drank a few cans of beer with me.
I knew what he meant, so I said okay, you two with low alcohol tolerance can rest.
The guy sat down next to my wife, poured her a glass of water, and said it would help her sober up. My wife was probably feeling the effects of the alcohol; her face was flushed, and she started talking more. Seeing they were having a good time, I didn't interfere.
His wife was probably close to 40, very well-maintained, with fairer skin than my wife, and a deep cleavage visible from her chest—a very attractive young woman. She was shorter than my wife, and also the type with a large bottom and a small waist. I really like this type of mature woman.
This couple seemed quite experienced. His wife sat down next to me, leaning in close; a light perfume scent, quite pleasant.
