My wife's unexpected gain

On the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, I was on duty, going to the countryside for inspections.
After breakfast, I said, "I'm on duty today, I'll go to the countryside for a look around." My wife said, "Let me go with you, it's too boring staying at home every day, let's go out for a stroll." I said okay, we'll be back by noon. So we drove out.
When we reached the third village, it was past 10 a.m. We met the retired village chief. The old village chief said it was almost noon, and it was the Lunar New Year, so we shouldn't leave, let's go to his house for a meal. We couldn't refuse his hospitality, so we went to his house.
It had been a long time since we had eaten with the old village chief, so we drank a few more cups with him (my wife went back to drive). Not long after we started eating, it started snowing, and a strong wind was blowing. After eating for more than an hour, my wife went out to check and came back saying, "Oh no, the snow has blown up snowdrifts on the road, we can't get back." I said, "It's okay, the highway station will clear it." The old village chief and I continued drinking and chatting, but it was almost 5 p.m. and we still hadn't seen a snowplow, and it was getting dark. The old village chief said, "It's okay, I'll stay here tonight, since I'm home alone anyway." So we had no choice but to stay.
In the countryside, there's always a large kang (heated brick bed). My wife slept at the head of the kang, I was in the middle, and the Party Secretary at the foot. Since the three of us were sleeping together, my wife took off her outer clothes and trousers, and got into bed wearing only her sweater and cotton-padded trousers.
The kang in Northeast China is for heating, and after a while, my wife couldn't stand the heat and asked me what to do. I said, "It's getting dark, why don't you just take off your sweater and trousers in bed?" She said, "I'm only wearing my bra and underwear." I said, "It's dark, and he can't see you under the covers." After a while, my wife quietly took off her sweater and trousers and quickly covered herself with the blanket.
