I spent eight years on Momo (a dating app) without meeting the one I was looking for. Then last December, a profile picture caught my eye. She had short hair, was capable, and beautiful. On a whim, I typed "Hi girl," and to my surprise, she replied

On my birthday, I asked her to wish me a happy birthday. She tossed me a 1000 yuan red envelope. I smiled, accepted the blessing, but refused the money.
After that, we kept chatting until one day in April when she told me she was divorced and needed time to process her emotions. Besides offering comfort, I expressed my understanding.
"Will I ever see you again?" I asked.
She replied, "We're in the same city; nothing is impossible."
I said, "I'll be waiting for you here."
