I was scammed out of 980 yuan by a couple of con artists in Shenzhen.

Let me describe how I was scammed a couple of days ago
: 1. The scammers said they had booked a room and sent me a screenshot of the booking, asking me to transfer the room fee to their wife.
2. After I transferred the room fee, they said they wanted to do something more exciting and would buy condoms, erotic wine, and asked me to transfer the money to their wife for the condoms and erotic wine
. 3. After I transferred the above money, on my way there, they asked me to transfer a 300 yuan deposit for the room. When I arrived, they said that because I hadn't transferred the deposit, they were going home and wouldn't be doing anything; if I wanted to continue, I had to transfer the 300 yuan deposit first.

It was disgusting. I guess I'll just consider this money as money for the scammers' mother, sister, and daughter to treat their STDs and AIDS. I wish them a speedy recovery from their STDs and AIDS. This scammer's modus operandi:
1. No matter where you say, he'll say it's very close to you and suggest finding a hotel near you.
2. He'll have his wife (possibly his alternate account) add you on social media, send you a screenshot of the hotel booking, and ask you to transfer about 500 yuan for the room fee, claiming that's how they always do it.
3. He'll continue to ask you to transfer money, saying it's for condoms, lingerie, and wine, about 400 yuan, supposedly to enhance the experience.
4. After you've transferred all the money, just before the event starts, he'll ask you to transfer another 300 yuan for the room deposit.
