[The Girls' School Teacher] (Episode 30, Chapter 5)

Chapter Five: A Family-Style Company

It was already noon when we got home.

Besides Asagi, Ayaka also came back with me, as expected. She had called home to say she and Asagi

were going to Tokyo for a few days and would return before the New Year.

Since elegant and youthful girls are always trustworthy, Mrs. Nagatsuka readily agreed.

Anyway, Ayaka and Asagi were best friends; the two girls together would prevent Ayaka from being too quiet.

Mrs. Nagatsuka always felt her daughter was too quiet and unambitious; a balance with Asagi's personality

would make them perfect.

What I didn't know was that when Ayaka stepped into my house, a flash of excitement crossed the little girl's face, causing Asagi, who

was observing to mutter under her breath.

Although the beauties were home, there were some places in the house the two girls couldn't enter, such as

the bedroom and the bathroom.

Ayaka and Asagi would immediately understand the secret once they went inside.

They wouldn't barge into the bedroom, but the bathroom was a different story. To avoid any mistakes, I had them sit in the river

while I immediately cleared out everything in the bathroom, packed it all into boxes, and put it in the basement.

When I came out of the basement, the two beautiful girls had already emptied the living room table and placed

all on it.

To be fair, Ryuji really has some skill. Normally, four or five large pieces of blue-and-white porcelain, plus some

smaller fragments, are considered badly damaged. But seeing the blue-and-white dragon-patterned plum vase he broke today, I realized

that there are always people more skilled than you when it comes to destruction.

The plum vase, over sixty centimeters tall, had less than a quarter of its base intact .

There were also nine palm-sized fragments, fifteen fist-sized fragments, and at least

thirty smaller fragments.

Hojo Yukun's friends were right; when faced with such difficult porcelain restoration work, even

a master craftsman of national renown could only smile wryly. It would be lucky to repair it in ten days or half a month, let alone within two days

.

Even Lingxin and Qianzhi, two pretty girls who didn't know much about porcelain repair, looked at me with pity.

"Don't make that face, okay?" I sat cross-legged opposite them. "Little girls,

start ."

"Who to call?"

"Your good classmates, of course."

I said with a smile, "Ask them to help me find some too. I need two things. First, cobalt blue,

the more the better . Second, I need Yuan Dynasty blue and white porcelain, whether from official kilns or folk kilns, regardless of size, as long as it's acceptable and not too expensive

, bring it to me. I need at least three. Finally, a porcelain repair tool (***). That's

easy to . I know where to buy it. I can buy a set and send it over quickly."

Asagi asked curiously, "Huh? That's strange, Toshio. Didn't you say cobalt blue is long gone? How can you still

find it, and the more the better?"

I said calmly, "Cobalt blue has disappeared from the market, but I know many porcelain collectors

have some stored in their possession. However, these things are more valuable than gold, and few people take them out. For your fifth uncle

, obtaining these precious materials is not easy, but for you rich and noble ladies, it's a piece of

cake ."

"Ugh..."

Asagi glared at me with a rare coquettish look. "Then why did you scare Uncle Wu and the others?"

"I wasn't scaring Mr. Hojo, I was scaring Ryuji," I said calmly. "Knowing that this

thing very valuable, he still didn't know his place and played with it, causing a huge disaster and almost implicating his parents. If I don't teach him

a lesson, he will never grow up; and you will have more opportunities to clean up his messes in the future."

The lively and charming beauty was speechless. She knew I was right, but she was a little dissatisfied. She

thought , "This guy is really good at acting. He scared me quite a bit back then. How awful..."

"What about the other blue and white porcelain? What are you going to do with them?" the elegant and pure girl asked. She felt that

the man in front of her was really like a treasure trove, always full of surprises and always full of merits that she would never discover.

"As Mr. Hojo just mentioned, repairing blue and white porcelain requires not only cobalt blue pigment but also high-quality clay. This clay

is indeed very difficult to find. There might be some in Jingdezhen, but it's already under government regulation. Only a few

companies in Jingdezhen use it."

"Oh. That's easy. As long as you have money, there's nothing you can't buy," Asagi chimed in. "I'll have someone

buy some right away."

"No need to rush, buying that won't help," I stopped her.

"Won't help? Then why are you saying all this?" the lively and charming girl asked disappointedly.

"I'm just telling you about clay," I chuckled. "If you're going to look for something, look for Yuan Dynasty

blue and white porcelain . The clay used for blue and white porcelain from that era is pretty much the same, enough for repairs without your grandfather

noticing."

"I don't quite understand,"

Lingxin tilted her head, her demeanor exuding girlish charm. "Wouldn't that be too expensive? Using

another equally precious piece of blue and white porcelain, broken to repair another one."

I shook my head calmly. "Not all Yuan Dynasty blue and white porcelain is valuable. For example, some pieces from Yuan Dynasty folk kilns

. For example, some (***) with rough workmanship, and then there are those

from official kilns, counterfeit goods, etc... Compared to those, the cost of the repair materials would be at most one-tenth or less, so it's affordable

."

"Okay."

After my explanation, the two beauties finally understood. They exchanged a glance and nodded slightly. "Leave the collection of

the first two materials to us!"

Next, Qianzhi and Lingxin started calling Xiaochun and the others. Upon closer reflection, I realized these young women

were scattered throughout the country. Contacting them would allow them to search through their subordinates and friends, essentially creating a nationwide

search.

I wasn't idle either. I first called Kyoka to explain what had happened in Asahi. The clever beauty

immediately understood that Nako wouldn't be showing up for tonight's dinner.

Kyoka felt a pang of disappointment; she had planned to come over tonight for some quality time alone with me,

but it seemed was going to be canceled again.

The second call was to Minori.

She was out having a Christmas dinner with her daughters, and when she answered the phone, she had a shy and charming

air about her.

I spoke much more gently, telling her to make sure Xunzi and Yingzi didn't catch a cold, and to come home early, before

hanging .

I wouldn't have time these next couple of days; after finishing the porcelain repairs, I'd spend the day with them.

The third call was to Yao. The bright and beautiful woman naturally couldn't come tonight because the Iwashita

Group was holding a grand party, and as one of their most important figures, she absolutely couldn't be absent.

If it weren't for Yao's reluctance to be seen as having ties to the yakuza, my father-in-law and brother-in-law would have wanted me to go tonight

, to work alone with Yao and entertain the important members of the Iwashita Group.

The items I needed weren't openly sold, and Japan doesn't encourage such easily counterfeited businesses. So, I had to

entrust the Iwashita Group to buy them on the black market. There, with enough money, you can buy all sorts of strange and unusual things. A set of

porcelain repair tools wouldn't be too difficult to obtain.

When I hung up the phone, Lingxin and Qianzhi hadn't finished their call.

I got up and went to the kitchen, checked the remaining ingredients in the refrigerator, and started cooking. Soon,

the aroma of the food wafted to the noses of the beautiful girls on the phone.

The smell was so tempting, and the two beauties, worried about the blue and white porcelain, hadn't eaten much for breakfast, so

the aroma made their stomachs rumble even more.

Finally, after finishing their call, Qianzhi lightly jumped up and ran to the kitchen, asking sweetly, "Junxiong,

what did you make? It smells so good!"

"Nothing much," I said without looking up as I busied myself preparing the last cold dish. "Come on, help me

put the food on the table, we can eat now."

"Oh..."

Qianzhi quickly washed her hands and skillfully placed each dish on the table.

When she finally placed three bowls of fried rice on the table, Lingxin had just finished her work. After washing her hands, she looked at the table and her eyes lit up.

Cumin lamb, shredded pork with scallion sauce, mapo tofu, cold bamboo shoot salad, and tomato meatball soup.

The aromas of various vegetables and meats mingled together on the table, creating an irresistible fragrance that tantalized the taste buds.

The vibrant colors of the dishes easily whetted the appetites of the young girls.

The fried rice was also exceptional; the egg fried rice, seasoned with scallions and

glistening with lard, was plump and tempting, making it look incredibly appetizing.

In fact, that's exactly what Asahi did.

Without a word, she picked up her chopsticks, took a bite of the fried rice, and a look of delight instantly appeared

on her face. She then closed her eyes and chewed slowly for a while before swallowing.

"It's so delicious…"

Asahi waved her chopsticks, "I'm sure this is the best fried rice I've ever eaten! Toshio, I'm starting to

really …"

I couldn't help but chuckle. This strong-willed and stubbornly beautiful girl, like my beautiful little wives

, admired not my knowledge, but rather my seemingly ordinary cooking skills.

I placed the chilled red grape salad on the table and gestured for the two beautiful girls to sit down. "Time is tight, so I can't make

much . Please make do with this. If the repairs are completed smoothly tomorrow, I promise to cook you a

delicious feast!"

"You said it! I'm looking forward to seeing your cooking!" Asagi laughed lightly. "Toshio, if I had known

you were such a good cook, I should have come and enjoyed your meal sooner."

With that, the lively and charming girl clapped her hands without hesitation. "Let's dig in!"

"Let's eat!"

Ayaka and I responded to her suggestion, and in the blink of an eye, the three of us picked up our chopsticks and started eating lunch.

"Mmm, delicious, delicious... Ayaka, you're still eating this... and this..." Asagi was really hungry,

and the food was so delicious that she quickly devoured a bowl of fried rice. She even served food to the more refined Ayaka.

I really don't know how she managed to keep up.

The elegant and pure girl savored her food slowly, eating more carefully than Asagi.

Like Asahi, she enjoyed the food more and more, because the dishes

were top-notch in terms of taste, aroma, and cooking time.

Ayaka also understood that true skill lies in simplicity; the more ordinary the home-cooked meal, the more effort required to

make .

"Another great quality of his..."

The elegant and pure girl blushed without realizing it, but after a moment of shyness, her mood became increasingly cheerful.

Later, Ayaka, like the lively and charming girl, even ordered fried rice with egg, eating two bowls in a row. She

worried that Toshio might think she was a gluttonous little pig... completely unaware that Asahi beside her had already

eaten three bowls and was now sprawled on the sofa, groaning with a mixture of satisfaction and discomfort.

"Ouch... I can't take it anymore... Toshio, you're deliberately trying to ruin me... I've eaten so much,

I can't even walk... Oh no, will I get fat? It's all your fault!" Asahi scolded

me to herself.

After washing up, I couldn't help but say, "Little girl, you were the one who wanted to eat so much, okay?

I told you not to eat anymore after you finished the second bowl, and you said I was stingy, that I didn't even let you eat your fill.

Have you forgotten all that?"

The lively and pretty girl blushed and said, "When did I say that? Did I say that? Okay, okay, I'll forgive

you... But tonight you have to cook an even better meal than before, as compensation for me!"

Lingxin, who was standing beside me helping me tidy up the dishes, turned around and smiled when she heard this, "Qianzhi, since you're too full, get

up and walk around a bit, that'll help with digestion!"

"Oh..."

Qianzhi lazily stood up and slowly walked around the living room, her little mouth moving non-stop, "Junxiong,

did you hone your cooking skills in America? You're amazing! I think even the chefs at those restaurants near Harvard University

are much worse than you."

"Not in university, I learned from my master when I was little."

"Junxiong, life without parents must be tough and lonely, right?" the elegant and innocent-looking girl asked me

cautiously .

I smiled at her. "I'm not really unaccustomed to it. There's so much to learn,

there time to think about anything else."

I meant studying medicine and martial arts, but Ayaka and Asahi thought I was studying all sorts of book knowledge; otherwise,

they wouldn't have been able to complete five doctoral degrees from Harvard University in just a few years.

"It seems even geniuses accumulate knowledge through hard work in their childhood. Only by working harder than others can you

succeed !"

This realization surfaced in the two girls' minds.

"Are you settling back into life in Japan?" Ayaka asked gently, looking at me.

Her gentle tone and soft eyes made my heart flutter: "Could this girl have fallen for me

?"

After a moment's thought, I felt relieved. Ayaka probably liked Nak, but my identity and charm

were quite something, making the little girl quite fond of me!

"I'm used to it," I said with a gentle laugh. "I really like the Eastern lifestyle. People in America, who

pursue freedom all the time, are actually just escaping responsibility. I prefer

places with a strong sense of family and human warmth."

"Right!" Asagi, who was taking a walk, agreed. "In America, I hated those people who were so

obsessed with money. Friends would split the bill for a meal—was it really necessary? Measuring everything in monetary

terms—no wonder Americans have such high unemployment and divorce rates."

What all Japanese people are proud of is that their companies will never lay off employees

unless even during the worst economic crisis.

If a company were to lay off employees frequently, other companies doing business with them would immediately distance

themselves—what a joke! If you're this cruel to your own people, how cruel will you be to us?

Therefore, unless someone like Masao Otomo used bankruptcy as a means to amass wealth, in Japan,

company presidents, chairmen, and employees who aren't intentionally laid off receive excellent care.

Even more extravagantly, Konosuke Matsushita personally

cared —this represents a tradition in Japanese companies, where they need to create a family atmosphere.

The company members and president are like fathers, leading their children in battle and hard work.

It's hard to say which system is superior, East or West, but I can say that the Japanese company philosophy is more likely

to be popular.

Just as we appreciate the family-like community environment in Japan, we dislike

the cold, aloof society in America where people live on the same floor for three to five years without even exchanging greetings.

"I'm glad you like it," Lingxin said, extremely satisfied. "You can live in Japan from now on. We'll all

be together , and we can always take care of each other."

I smiled calmly. The thought of living together warmly in the same place, and

me taking care of these beautiful girls—whether they are my wives, living, or just my obedient students—

fills me with a sense of responsibility—a very proud sense of responsibility.

"Actually, Japan isn't that great, especially big cities like Tokyo and Osaka," Asahi interjected.

"If you're looking for beautiful natural scenery, Australia and New Zealand are the places to go. They've preserved their

natural beauty just like they did hundreds of years ago; they're incredibly beautiful. Why don't you two just settle down there? It's not far, and we

can visit anytime."

"You… what nonsense are you talking about…"

The elegant, pure-looking girl's beautiful eyes widened, her delicate face instantly turning bright red.

Setting down her cutlery, Ayaka immediately chased after the outspoken girl.

"Giggle…"

The girls' giggles echoed in the living room like silver bells, creating a truly festive Christmas Eve atmosphere!
