[The Girls' School Teacher] (Episode 1, Chapter 11)

Chapter Eleven: Medical Turmoil

The entrance to Suzuki's private clinic suddenly became lively today. From dozens of meters away, I could see

a large crowd gathered, men and women alike.

The beautiful nurse named Sugiko was standing at the entrance, loudly addressing them, but the people

responded even louder.

I changed direction, walked into a small alley, leaped like lightning, and passed through several walls, using

the same method as before to enter the second floor from the back of the clinic. Because it was a small clinic, Suzuki Kyoka's studio was

not far from the operating room. I went over to take a look, but there was no one there. However, there was

noise coming from the patient rooms on the third floor.

I went over to check, and in one of the wards, Suzuki Kyoka was carefully examining Sekisaki Toyokuni's

pupils and pulse. Beside her, on the accompanying bed, Yoshiko was still half-asleep, and even Mrs. Sekisaki, looking unwell,

was dozing off nearby.

"Ahem."

I coughed lightly twice. Kyoka turned around, and when she saw me, her beautiful face

lit up with surprise, almost making her cry out. I stopped her with a gesture and signaled her to leave the ward.

"Sir, you've arrived."

Kyoka said respectfully as she walked to the side of the corridor. Judging from her appearance, she was practically begging me to become

her beautiful apprentice.

"How is his recovery?"

"As you said, he's been given six kinds of medicine. Yesterday's IV drip went fairly well, but today

Mr. Sekisaki seems to have lost some weight."

Kyoka replied with a worried expression.

“It’s alright. If neo-rosini is combined with chimartini, at three milligrams a day, it will cause some

muscle and blood vessel atrophy, but it’s still acceptable.”

Kyoka frowned in surprise. “Sir, why are you doing this? He’s weak right now

; we should be giving him more nutrition. Why are you causing his muscles and blood vessels to atrophy?” I

nodded. “As a doctor, you need to learn to look at the big picture, not just treat the symptoms . While Mr. Sekizaki certainly needs his body to recover sooner, you also need to consider that after the ordeal at Modo Medical School, his body simply can’t handle that much energy.” “But even so, you shouldn’t have caused his muscles and blood vessels to atrophy! That would be !” Kyoka stubbornly voiced her opinion, sounding somewhat angry. She seemed to have forgotten that just a moment ago, she idolized me. I liked this stubborn yet ethical doctor, so I softened my tone considerably: "What we're doing now is trying to minimize the strain on his body, allowing his internal organs to recover as quickly as possible . Once his vitality is restored, I'll naturally find a way to expand his muscles and blood vessels ." "Really?" Kyoka's beautiful eyes lit up, then she said shyly, "Of course it's true! A doctor naturally has better knowledge and methods than I do. I'm so sorry I was questioning you earlier!" "No need to be sorry," I said calmly. "What's the use of someone who doesn't have their own ideas in this world? People want to see more than just your conscientiousness and conscience. In fact, if a doctor doesn't have medical skills, no matter how good they are in other aspects it's useless." "You're right, sir," Kyoka said meekly. "By the way, I saw a crowd gathered outside earlier, what's going on?" I changed the subject. "Hehe, them..." Kyoka was smiling, but suddenly her face froze. "Sir, you didn't come in through the main gate, did you ?" "How did you know?" "If they had seen you at the main gate, how could you have gotten in?" A sly smile appeared on Kyoka's delicate face. "What terrible thing have I done to deserve so many people blocking my way?" A cold sweat broke out on my face. Being targeted by a group of middle-aged men and women was no good. Kyoka smiled. "You're not a bad person. It's a good thing they came to see you! Since you didn't come in through the main gate, you don't know that many of them were outside the operating room at Modo Medical College yesterday." Hearing this, I understood. "You mean they came to admire me?" Kyoka giggled. She had never expected that this incredibly skilled surgeon would become so friendly. "They came here hoping you could treat their loved ones," Kyoka explained. "Having witnessed your superb surgical skills at Modo Medical College, they all hope their loved ones can receive your care and recover completely." "What did you tell them?" I asked calmly. "I told them that you, sir, are just here to help, and I don't even know who you are, where you're from, or where you live ." Kyoka's answer was more cautious. "But I also told them that you have the most compassionate heart and will do your best to help everyone... However, for surgeries and illnesses that can be done at ordinary hospitals, please don't bother you." My expression gradually became solemn, making Kyoka very uneasy. "Kyoka, from now on, you'll be my assistant when I perform surgeries." "Hmm... Ah?" I thought I would scold her for taking matters into her own hands, but instead, I was pleasantly surprised. Kyoka reached out and grabbed my arm, her beautiful nails turning pale from the force. "Sir...you...you've agreed to perform the surgery on those patients?" "You idiot woman, you've already agreed for me, are you going to go back on your word?" I glanced at her indifferently: "Kyoka, just this once. I'll forgive your presumption because you meant well, but remember next time, you can't speak for me."

Kyoka Suzuki was already used to my coldness, and upon hearing this, she quickly put on a fawning smile: "Sir,

Kyoka knows it's because you're kind-hearted. Otherwise, no matter what promises you make, it's Kyoka's business, not yours. You

genuinely want to do something for everyone, right?"

I snorted coldly, ignoring her.

Kyoka Suzuki was the kind of naive girl; if I didn't restrain her a little, she'd probably

do .

However, it's undeniable that a naive beauty is more attractive to a man like me.

Her simple mind and enthusiasm for life are enough to warm the hearts of everyone around her.

I agreed to Kyoka's request, or rather, not just because of her kindness, but also because I wanted

to nurture her into an outstanding female doctor.

Because girls like her are rare these days, it would be a loss to society and humanity if I didn't push her forward, enabling her to possess the abilities that match

her heart .

"Go tell them I only perform one surgery a week. Whoever's condition is more serious can come first."

I pondered for a moment. "If they're poor, I'll only charge the cost price; my fee is irrelevant. If they're rich

, I want one-tenth of their fortune."

"Huh? One-tenth?"

Kyoka stuck out her tongue. "Sir, you're too ruthless! I agree to the poor man's offer, but

would a rich man give one-tenth of his fortune?"

I said coldly. "If you're willing to give, come; if not, find someone else. I don't have that much free

time... Remember, the time is every Saturday morning at nine o'clock."

"Okay, I've got it."

Kyoka didn't argue with me. Indeed, as I said, everything is a matter of willingness. "But sir,

what kind of surgery..."

"Not limited to surgery, other internal medicine conditions are also fine." I smiled. "As long as it's not a medically recognized terminal

illness, ordinary mid-stage cancer is no problem."

"Wow!"

Kyoka was genuinely surprised. "Sir, aren't you omnipotent?"

"It's also a challenge to my limits."

I said slowly.

My other identity, Nak, is known as the top surgeon in North America. His incisions are divine; any surgical procedure

he performs is a cure.

However, Nak has a major flaw: he's only skilled in surgery. He's completely

inept at combined internal and external therapies, and at prescribing medicine.

This is why, although no one's surgical skills surpass Nak's, he's still ranked after the Spanish physician, González

.

González wasn't the best in any single technique, but he was proficient in almost everything, making his overall

abilities the strongest.

However, that old man went to China last year to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, and I haven't been

in touch with him for a long time.

Speaking of which, my use of only a scalpel in North America was

entirely you should never reveal your full strength. When the enemy thinks you only have one skill,

if you unleash three during the battle, then in this battle of wits, who will win

?

It must be said that the old man was a conspiracy theorist from beginning to end. He molded me into a killer

and a healer, seemingly opposing forces, yet he constantly pushed me

to find balance, push my limits, and hone my strongest mind.

Therefore, Dr. Nak, the master swordsman, is skilled in far more than just knife work. I am also incredibly proficient in traditional Chinese medicine,

acupuncture , acupoints, and the application of internal energy, though I don't usually show

it.

Now that I'm in Tokyo, if I only display my amazing knife skills, back in America, the top swordsman, Dr.

Nak has disappeared. Anyone with a keen eye could easily find countless

similarities between me and Nak—we are essentially the same person. No matter how you try to hide it, there are indelible flaws.

This is why I have almost no friends in America.

A top-tier killer is lonely, and a first-rate doctor is even lonelier.

Having come to Japan, I don't want to remain lonely. Since that's the case, I must make a change.

Looking up at Kyoka, whose face was filled with admiration and excitement, I thought to myself, "Then, my transformation will

begin with meeting you!"

At that moment, a ray of sunshine had unknowingly risen in my heart.
