The two took a taxi back to the train station. Even after they sat down, the man hadn't followed them, and

refused . They picked up their luggage and started walking back.

It was several miles from there to the town, a secluded road with no other buildings.

After walking for a while and seeing no one following them or seeing the spoiled brat from Deputy Secretary Tang's family,

they felt much relieved. Teacher Ouyang cleared her throat and began to tell Liang

Jun her story. She told him not to tell anyone about his illness, especially not about

the treatment she had given him at the hotel. She added that she would take him to other places for treatment later if the opportunity arose. If

he didn't agree, she forbade him from being with Xiao Yao. Finally, she said fiercely, "She's my

daughter ."

Liang Jun felt a strange unease. His teacher knew he was with Xiao Yao, yet she still acted that

way towards him—what was going on?

The two walked and talked, unknowingly reaching a bend in the river. A small fork in the road led into the woods

, where the corner of a house could be vaguely seen.

Just then, two burly men came from the fork in the road and stood by the roadside. One of them stared intently

at Teacher Ouyang, making her feel extremely uncomfortable. The two men lowered their heads, wanting to hurry

past , but were stopped by the two burly men.

"Tired from walking, teacher? Bringing your students out for a bit of fun?"

Teacher Ouyang's face changed drastically. In this desolate wilderness, two strangers greeting each other was already

unsettling enough; the fact that they knew she was a teacher meant they were waiting for her, knew them, and had come prepared. Most

importantly , their words struck at Teacher Ouyang's weak spot—"Out for a bit of fun."

She retorted, her voice sharp but her tone weak, "What are you saying? Shut your stinking mouth!" The man chuckled, unperturbed,

"An old friend invites you to rest and relax for a while."

Sure enough, something was amiss. The two tried to quickly bypass him, but he blocked their path like an iron tower.

Liang Jun resorted to his old trick, attacking, but his arm was already injured, and the man was too imposing. With just

a light block, a grab, and a pull, Liang Jun was knocked to the ground—
