Looking back - My experiences traveling with a couple from Northeast China (part 1)

However, because the China Unicom signal was poor, I used my China Mobile number as a hotspot for my China Unicom phone to access the internet. As a result, A's phone showed a Wi-Fi connection, so he asked me why it was a Wi-Fi connection on the high-speed train. I quickly explained it to him, which dispelled his doubts.

After getting off the high-speed train, I picked up my car and told A-fu that we were driving to the hotel. After arriving and parking, A-fu called to ask if I had arrived and where I was. I replied that I was at the hotel entrance. A little while later, A-fu came alone to confirm it was me. He then told me to follow him to A-fu's wife a short distance away. He asked how I was feeling, and I said I was fine. A-fu said, "You haven't eaten yet, have you? Let's go get something to eat." There happened to be a seafood barbecue place across from the hotel, so the three of us went and ordered two dishes. While waiting for the food, I chatted with A-fu and learned that we were in the same industry. His company had just been acquired by an industry leader, and we happened to have various cooperative relationships with this leader, so we felt closer. During our conversation, A-fu's wife kept looking at us, but mostly at me, with a gentle smile. After the food arrived, I suggested we eat together. A-fu said he had already eaten and told us to eat. A-fu's wife ate some, but I ate most of the food. A-fu's wife joked, "Eat more, you'll have energy to work."
