I forget whether I met them on this website or in a QQ group. Anyway, we'd been friends for about six months without much contact or chat. Recently, I posted something on my WeChat Moments. They messaged me saying, "Hey bros, we're going to Lijiang for a trip." I replied, "Welcome!" "You're welcome to come to my house when you arrive." Actually, I didn't think too much about it or what might happen. I really enjoy making friends. Since they contacted me and said they were coming to Lijiang, I naturally and sincerely invited them to my home.
They didn't arrive in Lijiang until after 10 pm that day. When they arrived, they told me it was a family of four. They were a young couple with two children. Following our minority custom, I gave each child a red envelope containing several thousand yuan. I had prepared a stew of wild mushrooms and free-range chicken for them beforehand. During the meal, her husband said he didn't expect me to be so generous. I said, "You're too kind." Then I suggested I take them for a stroll in Lijiang Old Town, since it was their first time in Lijiang and they should visit the Old Town. Her husband said he'd let his wife put the two children to sleep first, and I agreed. So I took her husband to the Old Town. While there, I kept introducing him to the local minority culture and the history of the Old Town, since I'm quite knowledgeable about Lijiang. When we arrived at Sifang Street, we met... We met a painter, and I said, "Take out your wife's picture and have him paint a portrait for you. She'll be very happy." He agreed, so we painted his wife's portrait. Sure enough, she was very happy when we got home. When we arrived, the two kids seemed to be asleep. My house is in a villa area very close to the old town. It's very quiet, and the lights were already off when we got to the yard. He told me to wait for his message, so I waited on the second floor. About half an hour passed, and I could vaguely hear them moving around. Then my phone rang. Then that guy told me to go to the door to see and listen to them. So I went up. The door was half open. I could see almost everything about them. I was a little excited, but I can't remember how we got in or how it started. Anyway, he and his wife were very satisfied. It was a very memorable trip to Lijiang. The next day they were going to Lugu Lake and wouldn't be staying at my house anymore. Friends traveling to Lijiang can contact me. I'm not doing this for anything else, just to make a sincere friend. I'll definitely be a good friend.
