Continuing from above! I spent half a month back home farming, and then I got hooked on lure fishing (no wonder they say fishing impoverishes you for three years, birdwatching ruins your life, it's so expensive!). Emmm, I've been getting tanned every day by the river with my cousin, and my mom, seeing me lounging around, wants me to go find a job. Looks like I can't stay home anymore, so I contacted my younger brother again to ask when he'd be back. He said he has a heatwave break in August and will be back in the next couple of days, so I said okay.
Then I contacted A, who said no problem, and that my brother would arrive in the county town in a couple of days, and I'd pick him up and we'd go to A's city together (A only goes to the hotel after work, so we're not in a rush). We still have to drive three hours on the highway, and my brother said he'd drive, he's itching to drive, which is even better, I'm too lazy to drive anyway.
On the way, my brother kept telling me to make sure we were in touch, so I wouldn't stand him up again. I wasn't sure, so I sent a message. A replied, "OK, no problem, book a hotel here when you get there, it's close to my workplace." Suddenly I felt confident, and I told my brother to step on the gas and go! The two of us were chatting and joking around, and before we knew it, it was 10 PM .
We were supposed to arrive in just over ten minutes, so I contacted A, but there was no reply. Damn, I was thinking, "Could something have gone wrong again?" I had booked a hotel in advance. We were almost there, and still no reply. I was getting anxious, but I couldn't call her first. After two or three minutes, she finally replied, "Just woke up, so sleepy. Have you arrived yet?" Thank goodness nothing went wrong. I replied, "Arrived, Vienna." A replied, "Okay, I'll take a shower."
The two of us rushed to the front desk, went in, and pushed the twin beds together. Then… the atmosphere became a little awkward. We weren't usually very open with each other. He asked A when she would arrive, and I said I didn't know, and that she should go shower first. He went to shower, and I played on my phone, playing a game of Honor of Kings. A still hadn't arrived.
I texted A again, telling her to hurry up, my little brother can't wait. She replied, "Don't rush me, don't rush me, almost there." After I finished another game, she said, "Don't rush me, I'm going downstairs, waiting for the elevator." So I went to take a shower and told my little brother that she was coming over.
