Memoir 12

In 2009, I had a junior intern in my department. She was short and petite, but a bit of a tomboy. We got along well back then. In the spring of 2010, she took a few younger colleagues to see the azaleas, and we often hung out together; friendship was our priority.
After her internship, she looked for a job, changing jobs several times. I kept in touch with her on QQ, sometimes subtly hinting at things, and gradually we started dating. I was driving, and she helped me choose a spot in the car. Since she was unmarried, she insisted on using a condom. Being petite, sex with her was actually quite good. We did it once more in the car later.
I sensed she wasn't doing well. She wasn't married last year, and now she's almost thirty. She hasn't earned much money in the three years since the pandemic, and after changing jobs, the cities are too far apart, so we'll have very few opportunities to see each other in the future.
