A passionate and fast-paced history [Complete]

Hello fellow lovers of classical erotic literature! If you like the content, please give it a thumbs up. I will post all my collected classical books on the forum in the future. Your support is my motivation!
*The Passionate and Quick History* (浓情快史), in thirty chapters, exists in old printed editions. The table of contents and the main text are both signed "Compiled by the Master of Jiahe Canhua, reviewed by the Hermit of Xihu Pengyu," without a preface or postscript. Details about the author and reviewer are lost; only from the signatures do we know that one was from Jiaxing, Zhejiang, and the other from Hangzhou. Furthermore, the preface to *The Charming History of the Jade Concubine* mentions "quick history." If this refers to *The Passionate and Quick History*, then it can be inferred that this book was written before the Wanli era, as *The Charming History of the Jade Concubine* was written during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty.
This book is one of the more well-known ancient Chinese erotic novels, similar in theme to *The Story of Ruyi Jun* (如意君传), also featuring Wu Zetian as the main character. However, the first part describes her youthful romance before entering the palace, while the second part shifts to palace secrets. Comparing the two books, it's easy to see their complementary and selective relationship.

The beauty of the moon and the flowers fades easily; leaning on beauties, don't delay. Let the wine key unlock my brows, don't let my heart weave into my hair. Limited time should not be missed, don't waste your youth. " These eight lines of poetry are only for the fact that life is short, good things are hard to come by, don't let them pass by in vain. We can't escape the shackles of wine, women, wealth, and power, nor can we avoid the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death. It would be better to indulge in the beauty of nature, to revel in the company of beautiful women. Indeed: " If you wish for endless pleasures beyond this world, then seize the limited time before you die." Now, in the first year of the reign of Emperor Yang of Sui, he built the Xianren Palace and the Western Garden, indulging in extravagance to the extreme. When the palace trees withered in autumn and winter, he cut silk threads to make flowers. On moonlit nights, he allowed palace women to roam freely, composing melodies to be played on horseback. As for his illicit affairs with his sister and mother, his lustful desires were excessive, which was still considered debauchery. He then went to Yangzhou to admire the Qionghua flowers, and finding land transportation inconvenient, ordered officials to open the Bian River and ply it with dragon boats. Willows stretched for thousands of feet, and boats lined the river for thousands of miles. The dead lay piled upon each other, and the world was in turmoil. The people committed all sorts of crimes, including theft, fraud, and deceit. Bandits rose up everywhere, causing chaos in sixty-four regions and changing the reign titles of eighteen dynasties. Those eighteen dynasties were: Li Yuan of Taiyuan, Li Mi of Liaodong, Xiao Shen of Jiangnan, Li Gui of Liangzhou, Zhu Can of Chuzhou, and Xue Ju of Lanzhou. Liu Longzhen of Youzhou, Dou Jiande of Mingzhou, Liang Shidu of Hezhou, Lin Shihong of Raozhou, Shen Faxing of Huzhou, Xu Yuanlang of Yanzhou, Li Zitong of Juezhou, Fu Gongyou of Jizhou, Liu Wuzhou of Shanhou, Liu Heita of Jianzhou, Wang Shichong of Xicheng, and Zi Wenhua of Yangzhou. These sixty-four warlords were all pacified by Emperor Gaozu of Tang within a few years, thus establishing the foundation for unification. The five generals beat Emperor Yang to death and proclaimed themselves Emperors of the Great Tang. In the year of Wuyin, the reign title was changed to the first year of Jiande. Later historians lamented the fall of the Sui Dynasty, composing an eight-line poem as evidence: " The Purple Palace is locked in mist and haze, wanting to take the ruined city as their imperial home. The jade seal did not return to the sun's horn, the brocade sails should have reached the ends of the earth. Now, rotten grass has no fireflies, since ancient times, weeping willows have had crows at dusk. The broken mirror was mended by Emperor Chen Houzhu, it is not appropriate to sing 'The Flowers of the Rear Courtyard' again." Now, in this biography, there was a family living in Jingzhou, named Wu Huohuo, also known as Xingzhi, who married a woman surnamed Wang. The couple, both over forty, were distressed by their lack of offspring. One day, Wang said to her husband, "We are both over fifty and lack descendants. Of the three unfilial acts, the greatest is to have no offspring. Why not take a concubine as soon as possible, so we can have a son or daughter to enjoy our later years and continue the family line? What do you think?" Wu Xingzhi, hearing this, smiled and said, "Wise! Since you wish, my wife, I will not disobey." He immediately found a matchmaker and married the daughter of Zhang, a carpenter from the next village. She was quite pretty, and they chose a day for her to marry him. A month or so after their marriage, Zhang fell asleep and suddenly felt very heavy. A moment later, he inserted his penis inside her and played with it for a while. She thought it was Xingzhi, but upon closer inspection, she saw a beautiful woman with a jade-like face. Zhang was greatly startled and pushed him away, waking herself up. It was all a dream. She felt something and realized she was pregnant. After ten months, she gave birth to a daughter, exceptionally beautiful, and the couple were overjoyed. She was raised to the age of three and had grown into a beautiful young woman. Wu Xingzhi said to Wang, "This girl will have good fortune later on; she will grow up to be very charming." Wang laughed and said, "How about we call her Meiniang?" The whole family called her Meiniang. Zhang became pregnant again after five or six months, but because she didn't know how to take care of herself, she miscarried. She also didn't know how to recover from childbirth complications, and she couldn't recover. Before half a year had passed, she died. They had been husband and wife for four years, and had only had one night together. The couple wept bitterly. After the funeral, he was depressed all day. He wanted to remarry, but his family ties were weak, and he couldn't afford it, so he gave up the idea. He had a cousin named Wu Cheng. Although his son had died, he had two grandnephews, one named Wu Lang and the other named Shen Lang. He considered adopting one of them as a grandson and discussed it with Wang.
