[Wuxia] Long Hui's Male Concubine (Complete) - 33

In the tenth chapter , Genghis Khan, having been separated by lifetimes , led his army

to conquer Zhongdu, the capital of the Jin dynasty, and renamed it Yanjing in the twelfth year of the reign of Emperor Taizu of Yuan. After the death of M?ngke Khan, Kublai Khan seized the throne and renamed it Dadu, which in Turkic language is called Khanbaliq, meaning imperial capital. After moving the capital to Yanjing, Kublai Khan resided in the Daning Palace, a Jin dynasty detached palace outside the city.

In the fourth year of the Zhiyuan era, construction of the new palace and capital began. On the first day of the first month of

the eleventh year of the Zhiyuan era, the palace was completed, and Kublai Khan held his first court assembly in the Daming Hall, the main hall of the Dadu imperial palace, receiving congratulations from the crown prince, princes, officials, and envoys sent by the King of Goryeo. The Yuan capital, Dadu, was rectangular in plan, shorter east to west and longer north to south. The city wall was 60 li and 240 steps long, with 11 gates: three on the south, east, and west sides, and two on the north side. A "central pavilion" was built at the center of the Dadu area, and the city site was then expanded outwards from this point.

The imperial city was located south of the central pavilion.

The imperial city was surrounded by a red wall, also known as the "Xiao Wall," with its main gate called Lingxing Gate. To the left and right were thousand-step corridors. Outside the eastern wall of the Xiao Wall was the Grand Canal. The imperial city was symmetrical from east to west, with Taiye Pond as its center, around which were arranged three palaces: the Inner Palace, Longfu Palace, and Xingsheng Palace. The main gate of the Inner Palace was Chongtian Gate, with Houzai Gate to the north, Donghua Gate to the east, and Xihua Gate to the west. In front of

Chongtian Gate was the Jinshui River, spanned by the Zhou Bridge.

The main hall of the Inner Palace was the Daming Hall, the place where the Yuan emperor governed and resided. It had eleven bays and a corridor connecting to the rear hall.

Behind the Daming Hall was the Yanchun Pavilion, the residence of the empress. Outside the imperial city, the south and southeast were the government office area, the area around Jishui Pond to the north was a bustling market, the east was the Imperial Ancestral Temple, and the west was the Imperial Altar of the Land and Grain. In addition, each side of the city wall had three gates.

The Yuan Empire is now the suzerain state of the Mongols, with the other four Khanates spread across Eurasia. Its territory is vast and boundless, the largest in the world since the beginning of time. Sitting atop this great empire, Kublai Khan looks down upon the world, disdainful of the mortal realm. At this moment, he is in the Golden Palace receiving the homage of civil and military officials and listening to important military and national affairs.

"Your Majesty, the soldiers at the front have reported back with victory news! Xiangyang has surrendered!"

The minister reported the situation at Xiangyang, and Kublai Khan was overjoyed, laughing loudly, "Truly, Heaven is helping my Great Yuan! With Xiangyang fallen, my Mongol warriors can advance unimpeded, conquer the Song territory, and unify the world!"

The Imperial Tutor, Phagpa, advised, "After pacifying the Song Dynasty, Your Majesty's achievements surpass those of all previous wise rulers, making you a truly great emperor for all time. It is time to proclaim this to Heaven."

Kublai Khan was delighted and nodded, saying, "Imperial Tutor's words are very much to my liking. Then I will trouble you to prepare for the sacrificial ceremony to Heaven."

Phagpa clasped his hands together and said, "Your Majesty's will is etched in my heart." The civil and military officials shouted "Long live the Emperor!"

Kublai Khan was in high spirits, as if he were already standing atop Mount Tai, looking down upon all living beings, looking down upon all past emperors. Even Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Wu of Han, and Emperor Taizong of Tang were inferior to him. Thinking of this, he couldn't help but sigh, "Life should be like this!" Suddenly, the sky changed dramatically. Dark clouds covered the heavens, and lightning flashed across the sky. A deep, resonant sound enveloped the earth, making hearts race.

Kublai Khan felt uneasy and sent someone outside to investigate. After a moment, a guard rushed in, pointing outside and exclaiming, "Your Majesty... a dragon has appeared in the sky!" Upon

hearing this, both the emperor and his ministers were astonished. Kublai Khan abruptly stood up and said, "Come, follow me out of the palace to see what's happening!"

Kublai Khan led his ministers out of the Golden Palace. Looking up, they saw thunderclouds covering the sky, and within the mist, a colossal creature could be vaguely seen dancing. As the mist dispersed, its purplish-gold scales became clearly visible, along with its sharp claws.

Then, a long, resounding roar echoed throughout the three realms, shaking heaven and earth, changing the color of the sun and moon, and dispersing the mist. A colossal dragon coiled in the sky, leaving the Mongol emperor and his ministers utterly shocked.

Phagpa was the first to react, shouting, "Your Majesty, this is an auspicious omen from Heaven!"

Kublai Khan asked, "Why do you say this, Imperial Tutor?"

Phagpa replied, "Legend has it that when Qin Shi Huang was born, a black dragon emerged from the river. Now that Your Majesty has pacified the world, Heaven knows of Your Majesty's achievements and has specially sent a celestial dragon to appear, to aid the fate of the Great Yuan Dynasty and to proclaim Your Majesty's majesty."

"No national fortune, but instead, misfortune is

befalling you!" Just as Phagpa was flattering him, a cold voice rang out. Kublai Khan was startled and looked up, only to see dragon energy rapidly gathering, and a proud figure standing above the clouds, looking down at the earth. It was Long Hui, who had come with the fire of revenge.

Long Hui glanced at the ground and saw a person in a dragon robe outside the Golden Palace. He knew that this was Kublai Khan, and immediately flew into a rage, unleashing a terrifying palm strike.

The palm strike was powerful and heavy, like the collapse of the heavens. The force pressed down, and the beams of the Golden Palace instantly crumbled. The Mongol emperor and his ministers were terrified and scrambled to avoid it.

"Protect the Emperor! Protect the Emperor!" Kublai Khan

shouted, and the imperial guards immediately protected him as he retreated.

Phagpa, his face ashen, pointed at Long Hui and said, "He...he's a demon! Quickly escort the Emperor away! Imperial Guards, seize him!"

At his command, the Imperial Guards surrounded the Golden Palace, and powerful arrows rained down into the sky. But Long Hui stood high above, and their arrows couldn't reach him.

Long Hui gathered his energy, let out a thunderous roar, and the sound of his dragon's cry killed all the Mongol soldiers who had been shooting arrows.

Then, with immense force, he crashed down, his feet stomping violently, causing the earth to tremble and crack, and the Golden Palace collapsed with a deafening roar, crushing countless soldiers and ministers to death.

It was both a natural disaster and a man-made catastrophe. Kublai Khan, protected by the Imperial Guards, retreated continuously, with Phagpa also standing guard on his side. Phagpa, deeply versed in Buddhism, remained somewhat calm in the face of the dragon's extraordinary power, constantly mobilizing the Imperial Guards.

Kublai Khan retreated all the way to the altar of the Temple of Heaven. By this time, the Imperial Guards had completely surrounded the palace. Long Hui was not in a hurry to pursue, leisurely walking towards

the altar as if taking a stroll. But his seemingly light steps carried immense weight; with each step, a vast energy erupted, shattering all life within a hundred paces. In the blink of an eye, Long Hui had reached the Temple of Heaven, his cold eyes glaring angrily at the person on the altar.

Kublai Khan clutched his chest and asked, "What kind of demon are you? Why did you destroy my palace and kill my ministers?"

Long Hui flicked his sleeve, and the Yan Ting sword plunged into the floor. He asked, "Kublai Khan, tell me honestly, where did this sword come from, and where is its owner?"

Kublai Khan was startled and said, "Eighteen years ago, when I led my army to attack Xiangyang, I found this sword on the south bank of the Yellow River. I did not see the so-called owner of the sword."

Long Hui snorted, half believing him.

Kublai Khan said, "Then I'll ask you, where did you get this sword from?"

Long Hui replied calmly, "I killed a Tartar named Jinlang and took back what didn't belong to him!"

Kublai Khan trembled, his face turning deathly pale. He looked up to the sky and sighed, "My son..."

It turned out that Jinlang was Kublai Khan's youngest son, a brave and skilled warrior with exceptional martial arts skills. Kublai Khan was very fond of him, so he gifted him the Yanting sword, which could cut through iron like mud. Now, upon hearing the news of his death, he was filled with grief and anger.

Kublai Khan roared, "Guards! Chop this demon into mincemeat and bring it to pay for my prince's life!"

At his command, the army charged forward. Long Hui sneered, "You Tartar chieftain, do you even know the pain of losing a son? How many innocent people have you slaughtered with your blades? How many have lost their children and husbands, suffered endless humiliation because of you? You are not worthy of the word 'pay for your life'!"

Before his words were finished, Long Hui wielded his sword, "Yan Ting," like a tiger among sheep, slaughtering every Yuan soldier he saw!

Kublai Khan clenched his fist and pointed downwards, saying, "Which brave warrior will slay this demon for me?" Bai Lu,

one of the Thirteen Wings, stepped forward and said, "Your Majesty, please rest assured, this humble subject is willing to go!"

"Demon, I will take your dog's life!"

Bai Lu charged into the formation with a long sword, slashing at Long Hui.

Long Hui didn't even lift his eyelids, casually pointing his sword. The sword energy killed from a distance; Bai Lu hadn't even reached within a hundred paces before his soul perished in the underworld.

"Demon, give me back my brother's life!"

Enraged by Bai Lu's tragic death, Feng Ying, also a member of the Thirteen Wings, leaped into the air, his arms swirling in a circular motion, a display of Eagle Claw Iron Hand Kung Fu.

Long Hui coldly snorted, gripping his sword behind his back, and punched, the force flowing through his hand, shattering Feng Ying's bones and internal organs. Kublai

Khan was shocked and furious: "How can this demon be so ferocious?"

The Thirteen Wings' Divine Arrow volunteered: "Your Majesty, this demon's evil power is astonishing; it's not advisable to get close. Let me shoot this wretch!"

Kublai Khan nodded: "Quickly kill this demon; I will reward you handsomely."

Divine Arrow drew his bow, nocked the string, and fired a series of arrows at Long Hui.

Long Hui sneered: "Useless bow and rotten arrows!"

With that, he unleashed his inner strength, preventing the arrows from penetrating within ten paces of him.

Long Hui sneered coldly, "Kublai Khan, people say that since ancient times, fierce generals have taken the head of a general from a million-strong army as easily as taking something out of a bag. Today, I will do the opposite and show you

how I can take the lives of a million soldiers in front of a general as easily as cutting melons and vegetables!" He concentrated his energy, using mist as a bow and clouds as arrows. With a flick of his wrist, arrows rained down, and the Imperial Guards perished one after

another. In no time, there were no survivors around the altar of the Temple of Heaven, only Kublai Khan and his ministers on the platform. Long Hui stepped onto the steps of the Temple of Heaven, slowly walking towards Kublai Khan and his entourage. The Yuan emperor and his ministers were terrified and involuntarily retreated, wanting to go down another set of steps of the Temple of Heaven. But they saw Long Hui's steps sink, and his True Essence of Earthly Defense surged out, shattering all the steps of the Temple of Heaven. Kublai Khan, Phagpa, and the others were trapped on the platform, like lambs to the slaughter.

Although Kublai Khan was a seasoned warrior with extensive experience, he had never witnessed such a feat before—the annihilation of an entire army by hand. Such an event existed only in legends, and now it was unfolding before his very eyes, leaving him utterly astonished.

"I have no grudge against you, why do you seek to harm me?" Kublai Khan

asked, mustering his courage.

Long Hui sneered, "You barbarian dogs, cruel and greedy, massacring cities and committing adultery. Many have died at your hands. How do you know we have no grudge against each other?"

Kublai Khan's face darkened. "The First Emperor of Qin, though he conquered six kingdoms, quelled the flames of war, unified China, and became a great emperor for all time. I am now doing the same thing, sweeping away the various kingdoms. Only with a unified world can the people live in peace and prosperity. Sacrifices during war are inevitable; it is merely sacrificing the individual for the greater good, for the benefit of the people!"

Long Hui laughed loudly, tears streaming down his face, and then slapped Kublai Khan across the face, knocking out four or five teeth.

Kublai Khan covered his mouth, blood seeping from between his fingers, and exclaimed in shock and anger, "You...you dare to hit me?"

Long Hui's face darkened, and he roared, "You can't expect anything good from a dog's mouth! You shameless Tartar bastard, spouting nonsense, this slap is too lenient!"

With that, he moved with lightning speed, closing in on Kublai Khan, and with a stomp, broke both of his leg bones with a crack. Kublai Khan was in excruciating pain, and his knees buckled and he knelt down with a thud. Long Hui reached out and pressed his hand on Kublai Khan's shoulder, crushing his shoulder bone with his fingers, breaking all four limbs of the Great Yuan Emperor.

"Go to hell, you damned Tartars! Instead of tending your sheep and horses and living in your tents on your grasslands, you send your troops to invade the Central Plains and slaughter the people. Severing your limbs is just a small interest!"

Long Hui stomped on Kublai Khan's chest and spat in his face, cursing, "Today, I will not only raze your pseudo-imperial palace to the ground, but also kill all your soldiers. Let's see how you destroy the Song Dynasty. In the future, I will send my troops north again, to repay blood with blood, to repay tooth with tooth, to wash the grasslands with blood, and to kill all of you shameless beasts, and to restore peace to the Central Plains!"

As he spoke, Long Hui raised one palm to the sky, angrily unleashing the ultimate technique of the Thunderbolt Chapter, drawing in the thunder from all directions. Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed, instantly enveloping the capital city. Then, countless purple lightning bolts struck down, and the capital city suffered a cataclysmic disaster. Palaces collapsed and crumbled, and raging fires broke out. Kublai Khan

cried out in despair, "Eternal Heaven..."

Phagpa, his face filled with grief, anger, and helplessness, knelt down and prayed to the heavens, "May Buddha have mercy and save the Emperor!"

Long Hui kicked him over and pointed at him, cursing, "You, as a Buddhist disciple, do not show mercy but help the Tartars slaughter countless people, and you still dare to hope for the protection of Buddhism. After killing the Tartar Emperor, I will kill you, you bald monk!"

Kublai Khan's pleas and cries attracted a strange phenomenon. A beam of light shot down from the sky, and a tall, strong man descended from the heavens. His face was etched with strange patterns, his hair was tied into many small braids, and he had a thick beard.

The man roared, "What kind of demon dares to harm my people, the children of the Eternal Heaven!"

Kublai Khan was overjoyed and exclaimed, "May the Eternal Heaven protect us... and slay this demon!"

Long Hui glanced back and sensed that the man possessed abundant true energy, unlike any ordinary person. He thought to himself, "Could this thing truly be a deity served by the Tartars?"

But then he thought again, since he was the true god of the Tartars, he deserved to die even more. If it weren't for his behind-the-scenes manipulation, there wouldn't have been this bloody war, and Yu Xiuting wouldn't have met with such misfortune.

"Damn it, I don't care if you're the Eternal Heaven or the Short-Lived Earth. Since you're here, I'll chop you into mincemeat in front of these Tartar dogs and show them what a worthless deity their god is!"

Long Hui sneered. The Eternal Heaven roared, "Bold demon, daring to disrespect this god, you deserve to die!"

With that, he unleashed the power of the Six Directions Divine Power. His attack caused the wind and clouds to change color, far surpassing that of the Golden Wolf.

Long Hui said calmly, "Using a useless move a few more times is still a useless move!"

He unleashed his Five Elements True Essence, instantly shattering the Six Harmonies Divine Power. Seeing this, Chang

Shengtian summoned his personal weapon—the Six-Ring Golden Cloud Blade—gathering six elements into a blood mist, and slashed down from above. Long Hui pointed diagonally at the blade, the sword glowing red, precisely Yu Xiuting's signature killing move—Heavenly Gang Pointing Vermilion.

His sword unleashed thirty-six red rays, arranged in the thirty-six stars of the Heavenly Gang, cleanly piercing Cang Shitian's golden body, destroying his spiritual veins, and severing the three flowers on his head. Chang Shengtian was instantly defeated, spitting blood that stained the Heavenly Altar. (Advertisement break: Still relying on your hands? How can that be satisfying? Forum reputation guaranteed! Severely injured, Changshengtian knew he had hit a brick wall and immediately transformed into a golden light, fleeing westward. Longhui chased after him with his sword: "You Tartar dog god, where do you think you're going!"

The true dragon vowed to slay the barbarian god, its dragon form sweeping across, causing the heavens to lose their color. Changshengtian felt a powerful wind pressing down on him from behind, his heart filled with worry and fear. He could only increase his speed on the clouds, praying to escape this killing god.

With a flick of the dragon's tail, Changshengtian was struck from behind, his soul nearly shattered, his golden body completely destroyed. His thousand years of cultivation were destroyed in an instant, leaving only a breath of immortal energy to keep him alive.

"My life is over!"

Changshengtian lay on the cloud mountain, coughing up blood and lamenting, closing his eyes and waiting for death.

Long Hui, wielding the Yan Ting Sword, had already caught up. The sword's edge was about to slash down and behead him when suddenly a familiar, melodious Buddhist chant rang out from ahead. A dazzling Buddhist light caused Long Hui's sword to pause slightly. Then, golden light showered down, engulfing Chang Sheng Tian and lifting him from the heavens.

Chang Sheng Tian, spared from death, breathed a sigh of relief and looked up to see his savior. A compassionate-looking monk appeared before him, dressed in celestial robes and a crown, his head adorned with five topknots representing the five wisdoms of Buddha. He held a sword in one hand and a scripture in the other, riding a lion, his appearance solemn and dignified. Chang Sheng

Tian bowed and said, "So it is Manjushri Bodhisattva! This humble deity kowtows to thank you for saving my life."

Manjushri Bodhisattva said, "You are a celestial being, how come you are in such a sorry state?"

Chang Sheng Tian cried out, "This humble deity's golden body was shattered by a fierce demon, and his three flowers were cut off. That fierce demon was arrogant and cruel, and even tried to take my life! Please, Bodhisattva, save me!"

Manjushri Bodhisattva said, "Please calm down and wait until you have seen the Buddha before making a decision."

At this moment, Long Hui had already caught up and angrily said, "Who are you to save this plague god!"

Manjushri Bodhisattva put his hands together and said, "Please calm your anger, benefactor. I am Manjushri Bodhisattva of Mount Wutai, invited by the Buddha's decree to resolve this conflict."

Upon hearing the mention of the Buddha, Long Hui became even more agitated and shouted, "You traitorous remnants of the false Buddha, you are all birds of a feather with Mao Shen! Today I will kill you all!"

As he spoke, Long Hui gathered his true energy and channeled it into his martial meridians. The Yanting Sword in his hand shone brightly, and the light condensed into various weapons, which was the supreme technique of all weapons—the Myriad Worlds Weapon Soul. The conflict was about to erupt.

"Amitabha, Benefactor Long, do you still remember this humble monk?"

A familiar voice rang out, accompanied by a radiant Buddha light. In the depths of the sea of clouds, Arhats opened the way, Vajras protected, and Bodhisattvas assisted. It was as if the holy beings of the Buddhist realm had manifested their Dharma bodies. In the golden light, only a lotus throne could be seen, and the Buddha was solemn. A giant Buddha, six feet tall, appeared proudly in the world.

Manjushri Bodhisattva bowed and greeted, "Manjushri respectfully welcomes the World-Honored One."

Chang Sheng Tian also knelt and said, "This humble god pays respects to the Buddha!"

Long Hui stared at the giant Buddha for a moment, then exclaimed in astonishment, "You, you are Jieyin?"

The giant Buddha smiled kindly and said, "Yesterday's Jieyin, today's Tathagata. Since Pangu created heaven and earth, the Dragon Lord and his consorts have lived in seclusion, never to meet again for countless lifetimes. Unexpectedly, we meet again after so many lifetimes; truly a divinely ordained destiny!"

At this moment, Chang Sheng Tian cried out, "Buddha, this wicked demon has slaughtered my people and even wants to take my life! I beg you, Buddha, to uphold justice for me!"

The Tathagata Buddha said, "Chang Sheng Tian, don't think that just because I am indifferent to worldly affairs, I don't know what you have done. As a celestial being, you do not guide people towards goodness, but..." "You incited slaughter, making the Mongols bloodthirsty by nature. Although the Yuan dynasty's replacement of the Song was the will of Heaven, your people's indiscriminate slaughter of every city they encountered was against the harmony of Heaven. This is all the evil you sowed, and your removal of your golden body today is retribution!"

Chang Shengtian said in fear, "This humble god knows his mistake."

Buddha said, "Dragon Lord, Chang Shengtian has already received his due retribution. Can you spare his life? After all, it was not easy for him to achieve godhood."

Long Hui laughed, "You brought so many people to try and curry favor with me, how could I refuse? Fine, I'll spare his life!"

Buddha said, "Chang Shengtian, you should quickly thank the Dragon Lord."

Chang Shengtian hurriedly kowtowed, "Thank you, Dragon Lord, for sparing my life. This humble god knows his mistake, this humble god knows his mistake."

"Chang Shengtian, since you know your mistake, then go back to your cultivation ground and cultivate diligently to make amends."

Buddha pointed his finger, and a thick cloud flew over and swept Chang Shengtian away,

sending him back to his cultivation ground.

Long Hui glanced at Tathagata and the Buddhas, a sense of familiarity welling up within him. He said, "I never expected to run into acquaintances here. How lucky I am."

Tathagata smiled wryly, "Lord Dragon, your arrival has brought us great misfortune!"

Long Hui asked curiously, "What do you mean?"

Tathagata said, "You do not belong to this universe, yet you have crossed the boundary, already disrupting the balance of the cosmos. The moment you broke through space and crossed the boundary, hundreds of stars fell, causing the Heavenly Dao to become unbalanced once again. Now, in order to restore the balance of the Heavenly Dao, both Confucianism and Taoism are extremely busy, from the leaders to the followers, all are maintaining the operation of the Heavenly Dao."

Long Hui sighed, "I didn't want it to be like this either, but the Valley Master's fate is unknown, and I cannot return." " The

Buddha said, "I already know about this matter. As for Valley Master Yu..."

Long Hui hurriedly asked, "Guide, no, Buddha, do you know the whereabouts of Valley Master Yu?"

The Buddha sighed, "Please forgive my incompetence. I do not know the whereabouts of the Sword Immortal. I only know that eighteen years ago, the Yan Ting Sword pierced through the sky and entered this universe, but the swordsman's whereabouts have not been seen."

Long Hui asked in surprise, "What happened?" The Buddha

said, "When crossing time and space, an extremely large power is generated, enough to tear everything apart. Without the cultivation of a Celestial Being or above, it is difficult to save one's life. Although the Dragon Master was only at the Innate Realm at that time, he was able to survive because of his innate talent. But the Sword Immortal..."

He did not finish his sentence, but Long Hui could already sense the ominousness and couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.

"According to you, Valley Master Yu has already lost her life when she crossed the boundary?"

Long Hui said in a deep voice. Tathagata

shook his head and said, "That's not it. I once witnessed a sword immortal slaying a demon. If she had perished here, how could she have displayed such brilliance later?"

Long Hui suddenly realized and thought to himself, "That's right, Tathagata is an incarnation of Jieyin. He is a being from the future. So if he says the Valley Master is not dead, then he definitely is!"

Thinking of this, he felt relieved and his chest felt lighter.

"Since I've arrived in the future, why not ask about the events of our era so I can be prepared when I return!"

Thinking this, Long Hui was about to ask when Tathagata smiled and shook his head: "Dragon Lord, please do not ask me anything about the future. If I reveal heavenly secrets, it will only bring more disasters, affecting not only this world but also perhaps the past."

As the ruler of the Buddhist realm, Tathagata's every word and action affects the fate of the heavens. If he were to reveal heavenly secrets, it would cause turmoil in the world and an imbalance in the heavenly order, the consequences of which even he could not predict.

Long Hui thought to himself, "Since I can't say, I won't ask. What's the fun in knowing the future? Besides, the future is an extension of the past, and how it develops is still up to us to control."

With that thought, he felt relieved and stopped asking.

However, Long Hui's heart remained with Xiu Ting, so he asked, "Buddha, how can I find Valley Master Yu?" Buddha

said, "The fate of a sword immortal has already transcended the realm of Heaven's Dao, and I have no way of estimating it. Perhaps you should go to the Underworld, Dragon Lord; maybe you can find some clues."

Long Hui nodded in agreement. Buddha

then issued a decree ordering the three great bodhisattvas, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, and Avalokiteshvara, to accompany Long Hui to the Underworld.

The three bodhisattvas received Buddha's guidance, easily traversing the clouds and sky, and in the blink of an eye arrived at the Gates of Fengdu. Entering the old battlefield of their past bloody battle, Long Hui was filled with emotion, only to find a hundred ghosts gathered behind the gate, welcoming him.

Long Hui glanced around and was secretly startled. Among these ghosts were old enemies like the Ten Kings of Hell and the Black and White Impermanence. Surprised, the three Bodhisattvas suddenly stopped and gestured for him to enter, saying, "We are not comfortable entering the Underworld; please forgive us, Dragon Lord."

At this moment, King Qin Guang and King Yama stepped forward, saying, "Please rest assured, three Bodhisattvas, we will entrust our honored guest to your care." The three Bodhisattvas bowed in thanks and departed on clouds.

King Qin Guang performed a respectful bow, saying, "Dragon Lord has come from afar. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva specially ordered us to welcome you; please proceed."

Long Hui saw that he had washed away his malevolent aura, and his brows revealed a righteous spirit, which filled him with immense joy.

With the hundred ghosts clearing the way, Long Hui entered the Netherworld Temple. He saw a Buddha seated on a lotus platform, his appearance unchanged for thousands of years—Ksitigarbha, transformed from Jie Ming and Qian Seng.

The strange beast Di Ting was currently lying beneath the lotus platform, its eyes half-open, seemingly dozing.

Ksitigarbha smiled and said, "Benefactor Long, it's been a long time!"

Long Hui sighed, "I never expected to see you in this time and space. It's quite unexpected, but what surprises me most is that the Ten Kings of Hell have not only been resurrected but have also become righteous. Ksitigarbha's great power is truly admirable."

Ksitigarbha laughed, "The Ten Kings of Hell are responsible for supervising the merits and demerits of ghosts in their previous lives, rewarding good and punishing evil. They themselves must be upright and incorruptible. But their resurrection and reformation are all thanks to you, Benefactor. I am merely reaping the benefits."

Long Hui asked curiously, "What's going on here? What does this have to do with me?"

Ksitigarbha smiled mysteriously and said, "Heavenly secrets cannot be revealed, please forgive me, benefactor."

At this moment, Di Ting suddenly opened its eyes and spoke in human language: "Bodhisattva, Di Ting is incompetent and failed to find the Sword Immortal's whereabouts."

Long Hui was stunned. Ksitigarbha said, "Benefactor, there is no need to be surprised. Di Ting has cultivated for many years and has long since opened its spiritual consciousness and wisdom. It is normal for it to be able to speak human language."

Long Hui came to his senses and said, "I see. I was just ignorant. But was Di Ting searching for Valley Master Yu's whereabouts just now?"

Ksitigarbha said, "Indeed. When you and the Sword Immortal crossed the boundary, the three religions of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism all felt the same. However, the Sword Immortal arrived eighteen years before you, but she had an accident the moment she arrived."

Long Hui frowned and said, "What happened?"

Ksitigarbha said, "As the Buddha said, only those with the cultivation of a celestial being can withstand the spatial turbulence when crossing the boundary. When Valley Master Yu crossed the boundary, she was only at the Innate Realm, and the result was that her body disintegrated and her soul scattered."

Upon hearing this, Long Hui was stunned. Endless regret and sorrow welled up in his heart.

"Where is Valley Master Yu's soul?"

Long Hui asked, suppressing his grief.

Ksitigarbha sighed, "After Valley Master Yu's misfortune, I ordered the Ten Kings of Hell to search the Book of Life and Death and monitor the Bridge of Helplessness, but they found no trace of her soul. There are only two possibilities. First, Valley Master Yu was a cultivator of the Primordial Dao, her destiny transcending the Book of Life and Death and the Six Paths of Reincarnation, forming her own unique path, undetectable by anyone. Therefore, even if her soul entered Fengdu, the Ten Kings of Hell wouldn't recognize it. The second possibility is that Valley Master Yu's soul is not within the universe, because she suffered an accident the moment she arrived here, and her soul may have remained outside the void."

Long Hui was in turmoil, and with his last shred of composure, he asked, "Ksitigarbha, can you send me back?"

Ksitigarbha replied, "Although Tathagata and I have the ability to travel through the past and future, the time and space you are in is before Pangu created the world, in the previous era. There were too many powerful beings in that era, and their fates..." "The power and strength of this realm make this spacetime extremely stable. If one does not belong to that realm, forcibly entering will inevitably result in rejection. Therefore, if you wish to return to your former place, you must rely on yourself. This humble monk is truly unable to assist you."

Long Hui asked, "Then how can I return?"

Dizang took out a wheel and handed it to him, saying, "As long as you can establish contact with your realm, you can return by activating this Jade Sea Buddha Wheel."

Long Hui took the Buddha Wheel and asked again, "I once saw a girl named Yu Ting'er. Her appearance is very similar to Valley Master Yu. Could she be his reincarnation?"

Dizang shook his head and said, "I have secretly seen this girl and carefully examined her primordial spirit, but I did not find any memories of Valley Master Yu. Moreover, over the past tens of millions of years, many similar faces have appeared on numerous stars in this universe. Facial resemblance cannot be used as a criterion."

Long Hui was extremely disappointed.

At this moment, Ksitigarbha said again, "Benefactor Long, your arrival has disrupted the workings of Heaven and Earth. The Heavenly Dao suffered a severe blow a thousand years ago and cannot withstand your powerful interference. Please do not interfere with the affairs of the Three Realms in the future."

Long Hui sighed and said, "I understand. I will stand aside from now on."

Ksitigarbha nodded and said, "Then Ksitigarbha thanks you for your great kindness on behalf of all living beings!"

Leaving the Underworld, Long Hui walked along the road with a sense of loss and sorrow. The melancholy of being far from home constantly surrounded his heart, making him lose his sense of direction. He wandered aimlessly, not knowing where he was going. He slept when he was tired, ate when he was hungry, and drank when he was thirsty.

Long Hui carried the Yanting Sword to the Yellow River. Looking at the surging and roaring yellow waves, he remembered that Yu Xiuting had disappeared here. He felt a surge of grief and indignation. He stuck the sword upside down in the ground, lay down and wailed loudly. After crying his heart out, he bowed three times to the Yellow River.

Wiping away his tears, Long Hui took out the Buddhist wheel given to him by Ksitigarbha, thinking to himself, "Ksitigarbha said that as long as I can connect with the universe I inhabit, I can activate the Buddhist wheel and return to my origin."

So Long Hui sat down by the Yellow River, closed his eyes, and tried to connect with the past, but he couldn't find a way even after three days and three nights.

He was worried about Bing'er, Xue Xin, and the others, and at this moment he couldn't help but feel anxious. He jumped up in anger and swung his sword wildly, each sword aura slashing into the Yellow River, stirring up thousands of feet of waves, but it was like trying to cut water with a sword, only for the water to flow more. After venting his anger haphazardly, Long Hui felt a little relieved, and his conversation with Tathagata flashed through his mind.

"The Dragon Lord and the Consorts are vaguely..."

The most crucial sentence echoed in his ears, and Long Hui was overjoyed. The so-called Consorts must refer to the Great and Small Demon Queens and the group of Panlong Consorts. Since the future Tathagata spoke like this, then they must be safe and sound. And Tathagata also said that Yu Xiuting had angrily killed a demon, which meant that she would eventually be safe and sound.

Long Hui was greatly relieved, his pent-up frustration vanished, and he picked up the Yan Ting Sword, turning to leave. He headed south to Lin'an, and after traveling dozens of miles, he witnessed the atrocities committed by the Mongol army. He couldn't bear to watch any longer, fearing he would lose control and interfere in the affairs of the world again. So he chose to fly in the sky, out of sight, out of mind.

When he arrived outside Lin'an, he saw the Mongols entering the city and the Song army disarming. Long Hui was shocked: "Although Xiangyang has fallen, how could the Tartars have reached the Song capital in just a few days?"

Little did he know that a day in the mountains is equivalent to a thousand years in the world. In the half hour that Long Hui was in the underworld, several years had already passed in the human world. After capturing Xiangyang, the Mongol army sailed down the river, sweeping away everything in its path, and their advance reached Lin'an. The Southern Song emperor and his officials had no choice but to surrender the entire country. Some civil and military officials fled elsewhere with the blood of the Zhao Song dynasty, gathering troops and vowing to fight to the death for the Han Chinese lineage.

Long Hui secretly sneaked into the city, intending to find Yu Ting'er and Guo Xiang, as he had known them before and wanted to help them if he could.

However, upon arriving at Yu's residence, he found it deserted. He inquired with a neighbor and learned that Yu Ting'er had given away all her wealth and servants half a year ago, leaving Lin'an with only her valuables.

Long Hui still worried about this girl who resembled Wei Xuexin, and hearing of her disappearance weighed heavily on his mind.

He thought to himself, "Miss Yu and Miss Guo are extraordinary women of unwavering loyalty and courage. They will not stand idly by while their country falls. They will surely return to deal with these Tartar leaders. If I continue to wait in the city, I will surely see them."

Long Hui then secretly monitored the Yuan army's movements within the city, but he also witnessed the Tartar atrocities—rape, looting, burning, killing, and plundering were all vividly remembered. If he hadn't been worried about the unpredictable consequences of interfering in human affairs, he would have already slaughtered all these beasts.

Three days later, the Yuan army completely took over Lin'an. That very night, Long Hui overheard several Yuan soldiers talking.

"The Prime Minister is holding a victory banquet tonight at the Song barbarians' palace to reward the troops. You all better perform well and not embarrass our camp!"

"Damn it, this outer city is so prosperous, I wonder how luxurious that palace is!"

Upon hearing this, Long Hui immediately rushed to the palace. Upon entering, he smelled the aroma of wine and meat, along with the harsh laughter of the Tartars. Looking around, he saw that the palace was practically bare, completely looted.

He scaled the walls and reached the roof of the main hall, where he heard music and laughter blaring below.

Long Hui lifted a tile and looked down, and saw the Mongol Prime Minister Bayan sitting on the Song emperor's dragon throne, holding wine and chatting and laughing with everyone. Beside him was the imperial tutor Phagpa, and the two sides of the hall were filled with the generals of the army. In the center of the hall, a group of beautiful women were singing and dancing lightly. They wore light dresses and danced to a charming melody. Every dance step revealed a hint of spring, and their lotus arms and pink legs were vaguely visible, which aroused the eyes of the Tartars to blaze with lust and made their hearts itch.

Boyan's eyes were fixed on the dancer in the center. This dancer was graceful and elegant, her small waist slender yet powerful. Her steps and twists were crisp and clean, a perfect blend of strength and grace, unlike the other dancers who were merely seductive. Her face was captivating, with fair skin, rosy lips and cheeks, and a pair of beautiful eyes like deep autumn water, brimming with a gentle smile. Most mesmerizing were her two long, arched eyebrows, like two long swords, adding a touch of strength and heroism to her gentle beauty, making her even more charming.

It was Yu Ting'er! Although she was dressed in a beautiful dress, there was a hint of murderous intent in her eyes. Long Hui was overjoyed, but the thought of her offering herself to assassinate the enemy chieftain made him feel a sour jealousy. He could almost see Xue Xin wearing a similar dress, dancing for a group of men, receiving all sorts of lewd and obscene gazes.

Boyan's eyes blazed with fury. He laughed heartily, "What a wonderful dance! But the dancer is even better, the person is even more beautiful!"

He then pointed at Yu Ting'er and said, "Come here, have a drink with me, and I will reward you handsomely."

Yu Ting'er responded with a "yes," and gracefully walked towards Boyan, her eyes gleaming with even more intense killing intent.

As the beauty approached, Boyan reached out and grabbed her sleeve, intending to pull her into his arms. At that moment, Yu Ting'er's killing intent erupted. Boyan, a veteran of countless battles, reacted instantly, withdrawing his hand and leaning back. Yu Ting'er then pulled a dagger from her sleeve and thrust it forward.

"Bold assassin, get out of my way!"

Phasiba, standing nearby, shouted, sweeping a large handprint towards Yu Ting'er.

Yu Ting'er raised her hand to block, but was forced back by the force of the palm strike, spitting out a mouthful of blood. A sharp pain shot through her arm; her tendons and bones were injured.

Bayan was furious and shouted, "Take her down!"

Before he finished speaking, the roof tiles shattered. Long Hui, his face contorted with rage, stepped in front of Yu Ting'er and said coldly, "Who dares to hurt her!"

Seeing another assassin, Bayan was even more enraged. He drew his sword and shouted, "Chop these two scoundrels into mincemeat and throw them out to feed the dogs!"

He was filled with murderous intent, but he didn't notice that Phasiba beside him was already pale with fear.

Long Hui didn't even bother to glance at them. He turned to check on Yu Ting'er's injuries: "Miss Yu, are you alright?"

Upon seeing him again, Yu Ting'er was both surprised and delighted. She burst into tears of joy, her eyes overflowing with tears. Her lips parted slightly, wanting to say a thousand words, but she found her chest aching and couldn't utter a sound.

Long Hui assumed she was seriously injured and unable to speak, so he comforted her, "Ting'er, don't speak. Conserve your energy. Leave these Tartars to your elder brother; I guarantee no one will harm a hair on your head."

Looking at her, Long Hui thought of Wei Xuexin, and blurted out "Ting'er," referring to himself as "elder brother." Yu Ting'er's cheeks flushed red upon hearing this.

Seeing them flirting even as they faced death, Boyan was enraged: "Kill them!"

Long Hui smiled contemptuously, channeling his true energy into a massive aura that sent the Tartar soldiers flying ten feet away.

"Bhagpa, it's been a long time!"

Long Hui chuckled. Bhagpa's face turned pale, and he hurriedly kowtowed and begged for mercy, saying, "Great God, spare my life! Bhagpa had no intention of offending you. Please forgive me!"

Bayan was taken aback. Bhagpa kept winking at him and even mouthed a reminder, "He is the evil god who wreaked havoc in the capital. Prime Minister, you must not offend him!"

The calamity in the capital and the serious injury to the Great Khan had spread throughout the world. What made all the Yuan people most grief-stricken and desperate was that their god, Changsheng Tian, had been killed and fled in terror. Now, this evil god, whom even Changsheng Tian could not subdue, was right in front of them. How could Bayan dare to act rashly? His knees buckled and he immediately knelt down.

Long Hui had promised Buddha and Ksitigarbha that he would no longer interfere in human affairs. Now that he had saved Yu Ting'er, he didn't want to linger any longer. He helped her up and turned to leave, but before leaving, Long Hui secretly activated his Kui Shui True Essence. The wine in front of the Tartar generals immediately changed, turning into water swords that pierced the lower abdomens of each of them. The hall was filled with screams of agony, and everyone's groin was stained with blood. Even Prime Minister Boyan and Imperial Tutor Phagpa were not spared; all of them had their genitals removed.

In Long Hui's eyes, Yu Ting'er was nothing less than the reincarnation of Wei Xuexin, and he would not allow other men to touch her. Since these Tartars' eyes had defiled her body, then she would spend the rest of her life as a eunuch.

Returning to the former Yu residence for temporary shelter, Yu Ting'er was overwhelmed with grief at the sight of the place, and her tears could no longer be held back. She cried uncontrollably, her face streaked with tears, a pitiful sight.

Long Hui said softly, "Ting'er, don't cry. No one is bullying you now."

Yu Ting'er cried even harder, sobbing, "It's all gone, everything is gone! The country is destroyed, our homes are gone, we have nothing left!"

Long Hui sighed helplessly. These frail women not only had nowhere to go, but they were also forced to sacrifice themselves to feed the tigers and assassinate the enemy chieftain. How ironic!

"Even if I could intervene, I could only save them temporarily. The demise of this rotten Song Dynasty is inevitable."

Long Hui sighed inwardly, "No wonder that Tartar prime minister said that 100,000 Song soldiers laid down their arms, not a single one of them a man. Perhaps only the reincarnation of Huangfu Zheng could save this court!"

Long Hui found a clean handkerchief and wiped away Yu Ting'er's tears, saying softly, "Ting'er, don't cry. This corrupt court is not worth your tears."

Yu Ting'er felt a strange warmth from the handkerchief, which warmed her heart and eased her grief somewhat.

"Brother Long...where have you been all these years?"

Yu Ting'er asked timidly, her pretty face streaked with tears.

Long Hui replied, "I went to Dadu."

Yu Ting'er was taken aback and asked, "I heard that Dadu suffered divine retribution, with lightning striking the palace, and many Tartar soldiers and officials dying in the fire. Even Kublai Khan was seriously injured. This...was this your doing, Brother Long?"

Long Hui nodded.

Yu Ting'er continued, "Brother, why didn't you eliminate the root of the problem?"

In her excitement, she even forgot to call him by his surname. Her tone and expression were exactly like Wei Xuexin's—equally charming, coquettish, and pitiful.

Long Hui's heart softened at the sight, and he sighed, "Ting'er, even if I told you what happened afterward, you might not believe me..."

Yu Ting'er quickly interrupted him, firmly stating, "I believe you!"

Those two short words revealed the tenderness in the young girl's heart.

Long Hui thought for a moment, unsure how to begin, and said, "I'll tell you about this later. How have you been these past few days?"

Yu Ting'er lowered her head and sighed softly, "After hearing the devastating news of the fall of Xiangyang, Sister Guo and I rushed back to Xiangyang, only to encounter even worse news. Hero Guo, Chief Huang, and a group of martial arts figures refused to surrender to the Yuan and decided to perish with the city. When we arrived, they had already... had already died defending the city. Later, we were pursued by the Tartar soldiers, and Sister Guo and I were separated. I haven't heard from her since, and I don't even know if she's still alive." She was overcome with

grief again as she spoke.

Long Hui said, "Ting'er, we shouldn't stay here any longer. Let me see you out of the city first."

Yu Ting'er's delicate body trembled slightly, and she bit her lip, asking, "Brother, after you see me out of the city, will you leave too?"

As she asked this, her eyes welled up with tears again.

He had abandoned Wei Xuexin once on Mount Tai, and now, hearing this plaintive voice, his heart ached. But remembering his status, he hardened his heart and said, "I have important matters to attend to..."

Before he could finish speaking, Yu Ting'er slowly closed her eyes, her teeth clenched, her delicate body trembling. She took a deep breath, forcing back all her tears, and said in a calm voice, "Ting'er understands, Brother Long, thank you for today!"

Having said that, she turned to leave. Long Hui noticed the fine lines around her eyes, her former radiance gone. He thought of the hardships she had endured over the years, and his heart softened. He stopped her, saying, "Ting'er, if you don't mind me being so nosy, let's go together."

Yu Ting'er was overjoyed, her tears turning to smiles, and she nodded.

Seeing her radiant smile, Long Hui felt a surge of comfort and said, "Ting'er, that lama slapped you. Let me check your injury first."

To see the injury, he would have to lift her sleeve. Thinking of this, Yu Ting'er blushed, her shyness overflowing. The separation between men and women in the Southern Song Dynasty was far more strict than in Long Hui's time. Although Yu Ting'er was a woman of the martial world, she couldn't escape the constraints of propriety.

After hesitating for a moment, Yu Ting'er couldn't resist her feelings and shyly raised her arm.

Long Hui gently lifted her sleeve, revealing a dark bruise on her fair, smooth arm—the injury caused by the large handprint.

Long Hui grasped the injured arm to examine its condition. His palm was smooth and tender, causing a slight flutter in his heart. It took him a while to regain his composure. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that Yu Ting'er's arm bone had been fractured, but it hadn't shifted. With proper rest, it would heal quickly.

Long Hui gently massaged it a few times, using pure internal energy to disperse the blood stasis, then slowly joined the fractured tendons and bones, before securing it with bandages and a splint.

After the bandaging was complete, Yu Ting'er's cheeks were flushed, her throat dry, and she was too shy to look up.

Long Hui asked, "Ting'er, what are your plans for the future?"

Yu Ting'er lowered her head, clutching the hem of her clothes with her uninjured hand, and said, "I don't know. Wherever you go, Brother, I'll go..."

Her voice was soft at the end, her long eyelashes trembling slightly, as if afraid Long Hui would find her repulsive.

Feeling the tender affection in the young girl's eyes, Long Hui felt a warmth spread through his body and mind. He thought, "Ting'er's country is now destroyed, her family is gone, and she has no relatives left. How can I abandon her?"

With that thought, he reached out and took her soft hand in his, saying, "Ting'er, don't worry. No matter what happens in the future, I will be by your side. I will never let you face it all alone."

Yu Ting'er's fair face flushed, her heart filled with tender affection. She unconsciously moved closer to him.

The delicate fragrance of the young girl filled his nostrils, warm and soothing. Long Hui was momentarily captivated and reached out to pull Yu Ting'er into his arms.

The man's hot breath hit her face, and Yu Ting'er hesitated at first, but her heart quickly melted into a pool of spring water. Her soft body leaned against his strong chest, her eyes hazy, her breath sweet as orchids...

I don't understand why so many people think I've gone off-topic, saying it's unnecessary to write this. It's really speechless. Time travel is just a change of setting; the protagonist has no connection with that era at all. If you don't like it, just skip it. It's annoying me during the New Year. Take it or leave it.

Chapter Eleven: Reversing Fortune

After leaving Lin'an, Yu Ting'er tasted love for the first time. Her shyness was mixed with a touch of beauty. Her fair face was free of the gloom of her fallen kingdom, and her red lips smiled with affection, making her stunningly beautiful.

To minimize his influence on the fate of the universe, Long Hui simply stayed away from the hustle and bustle, taking Yu Ting'er directly to Mount Tai. They found a secluded place to live in seclusion. The place Long Hui chose was very quiet, with a stream in front and a bamboo forest behind.

Upon arriving, Yu Ting'er was greeted by the fragrant scent of bamboo, instantly calming her mind and prompting her to exclaim, "Brother Long, you've chosen a wonderful place!

It's so peaceful and quiet, without a care in the world." Her father had died defending the country, and she, a young girl, had inherited his will, bravely protecting the Song Dynasty. She should have been enjoying the prime of her life, but instead of spending it on needlework and poetry, she had witnessed the ravages of war and rivers of blood. Now that the Song Dynasty was gone, she felt a weight lifted from her shoulders, a sense of peace and joy washing over her.

Long Hui washed his handkerchief by the stream and handed it to her, saying, "Ting'er, let's live here from now on, okay?"

Upon hearing the word "we," Yu Ting'er's cheeks flushed even more, her heart filled with a mixture of shyness and joy, leaving her speechless for a moment.

Long Hui smiled slightly, then used a damp handkerchief to wipe the sweat from her cheeks, saying softly, "Silly girl, what are you daydreaming about? Look at you, all sweaty, your little face is all dirty."

Yu Ting'er smiled sweetly, sticking out her tender tongue shyly, her expression playful and cute, especially her pink and rosy three-inch lilacs, which made Long Hui have an urge to bite them.

Long Hui reached out and pulled her into his arms, lowering his head to kiss her delicate willow-leaf eyebrows. Yu Ting'er's face flushed instantly, and she stiffened timidly in Long Hui's arms.

Long Hui grew increasingly fond of her eyebrows, gently smoothing them with his fingers and chuckling, "Silly girl, what are you shy about? We're going to get married someday."

Yu Ting'er was mortified, blushing and scolding, "You're so mean! Who wants to get married with you!"

Long Hui grinned and deliberately released his arm, turning to leave, saying, "Hey, since I've been presumptuous, what face do you have to stay?"

Yu Ting'er stamped her foot in frustration and grabbed his sleeve.

Long Hui turned back, winking, and teased, "What's wrong? You want to get married with me now?"

Yu Ting'er realized she'd fallen for his trick, her face turning bright red with embarrassment. She quickly withdrew her hand, but Long Hui grabbed it and pulled her into his arms.

This girl had delicate, shy skin and was incredibly charming; she was practically a carbon copy of Xue Xin. Long Hui's heart fluttered even more. He reached out and embraced her slender waist, his lips lightly touching her hair as he softly whispered, "My dear Ting'er, will you marry me?"

Yu Ting'er's skin flushed, and her delicate face couldn't withstand his tenderness. As if possessed, she nodded her head slightly.

Long Hui happily held her tightly in his arms, and Yu Ting'er, emboldened, reached out and wrapped her arms around Long Hui's back.

The two snuggled together for a moment, then Yu Ting'er suddenly looked up and asked, "Brother Long, where will we live from now on?"

Long Hui suddenly realized, and embarrassedly patted the back of his head, saying, "Oh dear, I almost forgot the important thing. I'll build a house right now."

Yu Ting'er smiled and pushed him away, charmingly ordering, "Silly boy, don't just stand there, go cut bamboo and build a house. I don't want to sleep in the wild!"

After letting her guard down, she revealed a rare cheerful smile, like a blooming orchid, elegant and pure, its fragrance subtly emanating, even outshining the surrounding verdant bamboo.

Long Hui drew his Thunder Sword and swung it a few times, chopping down quite a few bamboo stalks. He couldn't help but laugh at himself, "Thunder Sword, Thunder Sword, using you to chop bamboo this time is truly an insult to you. When we get back, I'll make sure you can cut down all the sharpest weapons in the world."

Thunder Sword, go back... Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck Long Hui, and he clapped his hands and exclaimed, "I'm so stupid! How come I didn't think of this method!"

Yu Ting'er was startled and asked curiously, "Brother Long, what are you thinking about?"

Long Hui excitedly grasped her soft hand and said, "Ting'er, I've figured it out! I've figured out how to get home!"

The Thunder Sword had resonated with the Immortal Slaughtering Sword, so the two swords were connected. As long as he could sense the connection through the Thunder Sword, Long Hui could activate the Buddhist Wheel given to him by Ksitigarbha.

Yu Ting'er couldn't help but ask, "Brother Long, where is your home?"

Long Hui regained his composure and said solemnly, "Ting'er, actually, I'm not from this era. Staying here will inevitably lead to unpredictable events, so I must go back."

Upon hearing this, Yu Ting'er hurriedly grabbed his sleeve and said, "Brother Long, although I don't know what you're talking about, wherever you go, Ting'er will go with you!"

Long Hui immediately remembered what Buddha had said and secretly thought, "Ting'er isn't from my era. Forcibly crossing the boundary might lead to unforeseen consequences. Moreover, even someone with Valley Master Yu's foundation couldn't withstand the spatial-temporal turbulence; how could Ting'er possibly endure it?"

Just as he was about to refuse, he met Yu Ting'er's watery eyes, and his heart softened. He thought of Ting'er, who had no one to rely on, and how cruel it would be to abandon her.

Long Hui made up his mind, reaching out to stroke her delicate, arched eyebrows with his fingers, as if combing them. His movements were gentle and tender. He smiled and said, "Ting'er, your eyebrows are so beautiful!"

Yu Ting'er blushed and lowered her head, saying, "This is the first time someone has said my eyebrows are beautiful."

Long Hui smiled and said, "Ting'er, I will definitely draw your eyebrows every day from now on."

Yu Ting'er's heart was filled with sweetness, a shy yet delighted feeling.

Long Hui kissed her brow bone again and asked softly, "Ting'er, are you afraid of death?"

Yu Ting'er smiled sadly, shook her head, and resolutely said, "No!"

Long Hui took a deep breath and said, "Ting'er, are you willing to go with your elder brother?"

Yu Ting'er nodded, without hesitation.

Long Hui shouted, "Very well, today I will defy the heavens and earth once more!"

With that, he unleashed his vast inner power, channeling it into Yan Ting. Instantly, the sword glowed red, like a crimson streak rising from Mount Tai, illuminating all directions.

Yu Ting'er was blinded by the light and tightly closed her eyes. Long Hui held her slender waist firmly, unmoving.

The sword intent surged forth, tearing through the boundaries of space, traversing the past and future, resonating with the Immortal Slaughtering Sword of another universe. However, Long Hui always felt that something was missing. Yan Ting and Immortal Slaughtering Sword could not accurately sense each other. It was as if they saw each other right in front of them, just one more step away, but something was blocking their way, preventing them from breaking through that one step.

Long Hui continuously urged his internal energy, but the Yan Ting and Lu Xian swords remained unable to make contact, making it difficult for him to pinpoint their location. He was sweating profusely with anxiety. Just then, Yu Ting'er involuntarily reached out her jade-like hand and gently placed it on Long Hui's palm. Her slender, smooth fingers lightly touched the hilt of the Yan Ting sword. The instant she touched the sword, the Yan Ting sword erupted with a powerful sword intent, like a thunderbolt, forcefully cleaving through the barrier and striking the Lu Xian sword.

Stimulated by the Yan Ting sword, the Lu Xian sword shone with countless glints of cold light. The two peerless swords resonated with each other. Long Hui was overjoyed and hurriedly took out the Buddhist wheel given to him by Ksitigarbha, using a secret technique to activate his spiritual energy.

The swastika seal soared into the sky, and the essence of Buddhist light broke through the void, immediately drawing Long Hui and Yu Ting'er into it with a tremendous suction force.

The howling wind raged incessantly in his ears. Long Hui felt as if his body was being torn apart, his flesh showing signs of shattering. He had no time to worry about himself; his first priority was to check on Yu Ting'er. Her face was deathly pale, her skin almost translucent, revealing her veins clearly.

"Damn it, Ting'er can't withstand this turbulence!"

Long Hui hurriedly diverted most of his energy to protect her body, but the turbulence grew sharper with each passing moment. Long Hui felt increasingly strained, blood gushing from his body, his bones feeling as if they were about to break. Yet, he steadfastly protected Yu Ting'er with his vital energy, never abandoning her.

Just as he was struggling to hold on, the Yan Ting Sword once again shone brightly. This light seemed like a guiding light, illuminating the path ahead, but it wasn't just guiding Long Hui back; it was also welcoming someone else.

Long Hui looked closely and saw a beautiful, ethereal figure, with a jade-like face and a flower-like countenance, elegant and graceful—who else could it be but Yu Xiuting

? Valley Master Yu? Long Hui was startled. Upon closer inspection, he realized that Yu Xiuting was merely an illusion, not a physical entity, but rather a soul. In that instant, Yu Xiuting's soul plunged into Yu Ting'er's body. An astonishing thing happened: the two souls were so perfectly aligned, as if they were two separate souls split from the same soul. In

that instant, Long Hui understood why Tathagata Ksitigarbha couldn't find Yu Xiuting's soul. It turned out that she had encountered an accident the moment she crossed the boundary, causing her soul to split. One half of her soul was reincarnated as Yu Ting'er, while the other half lingered in the space-time tunnel, awaiting its return to its original form. This also explained why the Yan Ting Sword occasionally emitted sword intent, and why Ksitigarbha couldn't glean the sword immortal's memories from Yu Ting'er's soul—because Yu Ting'er was only half a sword immortal.

Although Yu Xiuting's primordial spirit returned, the temporal turbulence continued, relentlessly eroding and tearing their bodies apart. Yu Xiuting suddenly widened her beautiful eyes, reaching out to grasp the Yan Ting Sword alongside Long Hui, frantically channeling her true energy into the sword. Their true energy merged, forming a thick ball of energy around the Yan Ting Sword, isolating them from the temporal turbulence.

After expelling her primordial energy, Yu Xiuting groaned and fainted. Long Hui quickly caught her waist, continuing to manipulate the Yan Ting Sword, guiding them back to their own era. Holding her

soft, fragrant body in his arms, the full, smooth flesh reminded Long Hui of his time with Yu Ting'er, adding another layer of confusion to his heart.

Just as he was wondering what to do, he suddenly saw various scenes appearing in the surrounding void, these scenes constantly reversing, a sign of returning to the past.

As the future receded into the distance, Long Hui knew he was about to return to his own destiny. With the reversing scenes, Long Hui witnessed the events that had occurred on the land of China: the lingering turmoil, the national humiliation of Jingkang, the Chenqiao Mutiny, the An Lushan Rebellion, the rise of the Empress... One historical event after another unfolded before his eyes in reverse. Just as he was overwhelmed by the sights, a familiar figure appeared before him. He was handsome and dashing, skilled in both literature and martial arts, possessing both the strategic acumen to govern a country and the talent to command an army. He wore a golden dragon robe and sat on the throne. He had single-handedly created a golden age where hundreds of nations paid tribute and all races submitted. Long Hui couldn't help but secretly admire him. Upon closer inspection, he realized that the emperor's appearance was extremely familiar. It was none other than the former King of Qi, Huangfu Zheng! "After countless reincarnations, King Qi has finally ascended to the throne,"

Long Hui thought to himself. "His ambition and talent have not been in vain."

After experiencing the Song, Tang, Sui, and Jin dynasties, he discovered that there was a blank period in time, which was covered by the seal of the three religions, but there was a crack in the tight seal.

Long Hui pondered, "The seal conceals the truth of history, making it difficult for later generations to know. However, history will always record it, so this crack is equivalent to the events recorded in the history books, thus creating the impression of this period of history for later generations, although it may not be true."

Curious about the truth of this history sealed by the three religions, Long Hui used the divine power of the Void Chapter of the Yanwu Heavenly Book, sending his divine sense into the crack to investigate the truth of history. The seal reacted immediately upon Long Hui's intrusion, blocking his divine sense. Under the divine sense intrusion driven by the Void Chapter, the seal also changed, revealing several lines of golden characters: "Heroes slay the Yellow Turbans, Dong Zhuo steals from the Han emperor, an adopted son defies human relations, heroes vie for power at Hulao Pass. Protecting his

lord at Wancheng, he pulls out his arrow and eats his own blood, ghosts and gods weep at Xiapi, Cao Wei prospers at Guandu.

The Azure Dragon acts with loyalty and righteousness, his courage and blood lead him through Changban, his spear intimidates ten thousand troops, his eloquent tongue defeats the scholars."

Zhou Yu, full of vigor, and Long Feng, employing clever schemes, defied the heavens, their martial prowess defying the will

of heaven, their winds and fires defying the universe. Long Hui, though unable to grasp the secrets of heaven, knew the truth lay hidden within those few lines of golden characters. Just as he was about to delve deeper, a blinding flash of light blurred his vision. When he opened his eyes again, he saw the Immortal-Slaying Sword and the Thunder-Shattering Sword lying on the ground. "I'm back?"

That was Long Hui's first thought; everything that had just happened felt like a dream. He

felt the full, tender flesh against his arm. Looking down, he realized he was embracing a slender, strong waist, the beautiful woman's voluptuous body leaning against him, her chest pressed against her full breasts, her chin touching her smooth forehead, and a warm, moist fragrance emanating from her neck—the delicate breath of Yu Xiuting.

Seeing the beautiful woman lying unconscious in his arms, Long Hui knew clearly that what had happened was not a dream, but a definite reality. This realization sent chills down his spine, and a layer of sweat broke out on his back, soaking his inner shirt.

At that moment, Long Hui's breath became heavier, like a spring breeze carrying a faint fragrance. With a soft moan, Yu Xiuting's thick eyelashes fluttered, and she slowly opened her starry eyes.

The moment Yu Xiuting opened her eyes, she sensed something was wrong. She hurriedly pushed Long Hui away, ignoring her weakness, and stumbled back several steps. Clutching her heart, her face flushed, she glared at him, her bright eyes filled with complex emotions: shame, anger, humiliation… Although her primordial spirit was divided, the memories and experiences of the future Qiankun Lock were still vivid in her mind. Remembering the ill-fated relationship between Yu Ting'er and Long Hui, Yu Xiuting's sword heart was instantly thrown into chaos, unsure of what to do.

The two stared at each other, a deep silence falling over the stone house. After a long while, Long Hui broke the silence, saying, "Let's go back first."

Yu Xiuting hummed in agreement, her eyes falling on the Yanting Sword. She sighed softly and bent down to pick it up, but Long Hui also bent down to pick up the Luxian Sword at that moment. Their foreheads touched, and their fingers brushed against each other.

Yu Xiuting's pretty face flushed crimson instantly. She bit her lip sharply, swiftly picked up the Yanting Sword, and retreated three feet in a flash, holding the sword horizontally against her chest, watching Long Hui warily.

Long Hui broke the awkward silence first, saying, "Ahem, let's go back, it's getting late!"

He withdrew the Immortal Slaughtering Sword, then glanced at the Myriad Demon Origin Stone, casually reaching out to break the seal and grasp the stone in his hand.

Since he had seen this stone, he shouldn't waste it; why not use it to bargain with the Demon Lord?

Yu Xiuting's fair face flushed red. She bit her lip and said fiercely, "You must keep Yu Ting'er's matter to yourself!"

Long Hui said "Oh," feeling his cheeks burning, and added, "At the time, I thought Ting'er looked a lot like Xue Xin, so I unconsciously mistook her for Xue Xin."

Yu Xiuting was both ashamed and angry. She raised her eyebrows, pointed her sword sharply, and scolded, "You dare to mention it again!"

Long Hui hurriedly explained, "Don't, don't be angry, I won't say anything..."

Yu Xiuting slowly lowered her sword, glared at him, and said coldly, "Who are you telling not to be angry? Don't you even have a proper address?"

Her words carried a hint of coldness and authority.

Long Hui cleared his throat and said, "Valley Master, please forgive me!" Yu

Xiuting turned her head away, flicked her sleeve, and said, "Go back!"

After saying that, she walked straight out of the stone house alone. Long Hui followed behind her, but did not dare to get too close, keeping a distance.

Inside Jinling City, Yu Xiuting and Long Hui had been gone for five days. After a resounding victory, the Longlin Army was in high spirits, and the various troops were carrying out their tasks in an orderly manner under Bai Lingyu's command.

Bai Lingyu inspected the city walls as usual. The soldiers saluted her, and she smiled and nodded in response. At this moment, she was dressed in silver armor and a white robe, with a military saber at her waist. Her gait was firm, and her beautiful face exuded a heroic spirit, making her uniquely charming.

"Your Highness, the sun is so strong. Let this old servant hold an umbrella for you to shade yourself!"

Eunuch Wang was following behind her, holding an oil-paper umbrella, and was about to open it.

Bai Lingyu raised her hand to stop him, saying, "Eunuch Wang, the soldiers are guarding the city under the scorching sun. How can I use an umbrella for shade? Besides, I've been doing this for years, I'm used to it."

Eunuch Wang stamped his foot in a low voice, "My princess, it's because you've been exposed to the sun all these years that your skin has become so dark. Look at the women around the prince consort, aren't they all fair and delicate? If you get even darker, won't those little vixens be riding roughshod over you!"

He had lived in the palace for a long time and was very familiar with the concubines vying for the emperor's favor, which was why he was worried about Bai Lingyu.

Bai Lingyu couldn't help but smile, shaking her head with a wry smile, "Eunuch Wang, you're overthinking it."

Eunuch Wang sighed, "Princess, don't think this old servant is being long-winded. I've seen plenty of jealousy and rivalry. You must not be careless, otherwise..."

"Otherwise what?"

At this moment, a clear voice rang out from behind. Eunuch Wang turned around and saw a beautiful figure in white standing behind him, none other than Chu Wanbing.

Wang Gonggong felt extremely embarrassed, his face burning with embarrassment.

Chu Wanbing smiled slightly and said, "Lingyu, guess what good thing I brought for you today?"

Chu Wanbing seemed to be intentionally refuting Wang Gonggong's accusations of vying for favor by taking an intimate arm with Bai Lingyu, as if they were best friends.

Bai Lingyu, inhaling her sweet fragrance, felt quite pleased and shook his head, saying, "Bing'er, you're so clever, who can guess what you're thinking? Stop teasing people, bring out the good stuff quickly!"

Chu Wanbing giggled and called down, "Hurry up and push the things up!"

Dozens of unicorn giants were seen pushing more than a dozen cannons up the slope to the top of the city wall. These cannons had a shiny black exterior, and their barrels were longer than ordinary cannons, with thick breech and eight wheels under the gun mount. When the cannons were pushed to the top of the city wall, with the muzzles extended outwards, the unicorn giants would close the mechanism on the edge of the wheels, preventing the wheels from turning and effectively fixing the cannons to the top of the city wall.

Bai Lingyu asked curiously, "What's the origin of this cannon?"

Chu Wanbing smiled and said, "This was improved by Elder Yue based on the Refining God Cannon and combined with the cannons used by the Heng Army. Its range can reach four miles, but it doesn't need to absorb earth fire, so of course its power isn't as great as the Refining God Cannon."

Bai Lingyu reached out and stroked the cold cannon barrel, saying happily, "Being able to shoot four miles is already a very powerful weapon!"

Just as the two women were talking, a group of people came from the south, led by Hongjun.

Chu Wanbing waved and said, "Sect Leader Hongjun!"

Hongjun returned the greeting and said, "Little Demon Queen, it's been a long time!"

Bai Lingyu ordered the city gates to be opened to welcome Hongjun in.

Hongjun met the two women and said, "Fortunately, I have fulfilled my mission. The Extreme Yuan Artifact of Muzhou has finally been repaired."

Chu Wanbing thanked him and said, "Then it must have been hard work for you, Sect Leader."

Hongjun chuckled and was about to say a few words of modesty when he stopped speaking. His brows furrowed slightly, and his eyelids twitched, as if there was an ominous sign.

Chu Wanbing sensed something was wrong and asked, "Sect Leader, what's wrong?"

Hongjun sighed and said, "For some reason, my eyelids keep twitching. It seems there's something amiss with Jinling City."

"Not just amiss, but utterly amiss!"

Before Hongjun could finish speaking, a cold and arrogant voice rang out—it was Yuanding Zhenren.

The two women immediately became wary. Hongjun explained, "Uncle-Master Jingchen is currently healing, so he entrusted Yuanding Zhenren to investigate the operation of the Twelve Earthly Branches."

Chu Wanbing asked unhappily, "May I ask, Daoist Yuanding, what's amiss?"

Yuanding looked up at the sky and said, "Don't you think the sun is a bit too strong this time of year?"

Upon hearing this, Chu Wanbing immediately realized that it was springtime, and even at noon, the sun shouldn't be this strong.

Yuan Ding pointed to the ground in Jinling and said, "The earth's energy seems to be rising. Is this a normal phenomenon of the Twelve Earthly Branches operating?"

Hong Jun bent down, picked up a handful of soil, smelled it, and nodded, "The earth's energy seems to be much stronger than usual. There seems to be something strange about it."

Chu Wanbing asked, "Aren't the Twelve Earthly Branches based on earth's energy to operate their formations? Wouldn't the stronger the earth's energy be, the more powerful the formation?"

Hong Jun shook his head and said, "As the saying goes, what is at its peak must decline. Too much earth energy will damage the earth's veins themselves. Although I don't know what caused this, we must resolve it as soon as possible."

Yuan Ding calculated with his fingers, his face changed drastically, and he shouted that something was wrong: "Quickly bring a troop of soldiers with me, or it will be too late!"

Seeing that his expression was solemn and tense, and not feigning it, Bai Lingyu personally led fifty soldiers to follow him. Chu Wanbing, Eunuch Wang, and Hong Jun followed closely behind.

Yuan Ding pulled out a compass, observing the needle and making calculations. He led the group directly to a dilapidated tavern, the very spot where Long Hui and Cang Shitian's avatar had fought fiercely. The tavern was now in ruins after the battle between these two powerful

cultivators. Without a word, Yuan Ding rushed inside, stomping his feet twice and shouting, "Quickly dig up the soil here!" Bai Lingyu ordered the soldiers to dig. The soil was initially gray, then gradually turned crimson, and emitted a scorching sulfurous smell.

Although the two women didn't understand feng shui, they could tell the soil was unusual.

Yuan Ding ordered them to dig three feet deeper, revealing a crimson rock. Most of the rock had melted, but runes were still faintly visible. Upon closer inspection, the general content could be discerned: the Yin-Yang Divine Talisman of Taoism, the Buddha's Mantra of Buddhism, and the Great Virtue Sutra of Confucianism.

Chu Wanbing's face paled, and she exclaimed in shock, "This seems to be a magic artifact of the Yin-Gathering and Yang-Reversing Array!"

Yuan Ding snorted, "It's not just 'seems,' it should be said that this is the Yin-Gathering and Yang-Reversing Array!"

Chu Wanbing asked in astonishment, "This... what's going on?"

Yuan Ding said, "Jinling corresponds to the Zi hour in the twelve earthly branches. The Zi hour is the time when Yin energy is at its heaviest, so the earth energy in Jinling is biased towards Yin and cold. In addition, after a winter of accumulated cold energy, the cold energy of Jinling's earth veins has reached its limit. Moreover, this place is one of Jinling's earth caves, a place where earth energy gathers—the characteristic of the Yin-Gathering and Yang-Reversing Array is to transform Yin into Yang, the more Yin energy..." " The heavier the fire, the more intense it burns. Now the entire Jinling area is filled with the energy of fire oil. What do you think will happen once the formation is activated?"

Hongjun's expression changed drastically, and he gritted his teeth and said, "The yang fire will spread, and the direction of the earth's veins will act like the fuse of gunpowder, bringing the yang fire to the underground cave. Then the underground cave will explode, and the flames from the explosion will spread in all directions. At that time, the entire Jinling will be a sea of fire!" Back

then, the demons of Kui Mountain were almost burned to death by the sudden yang fire. Although Chu Wanbing did not witness it firsthand, she deeply felt that calamity. If this formation is activated in Jinling, wouldn't it be like the city being burned to the ground by raging fire? The entire Jinling will be destroyed in an instant.

With the fate of Jinling at stake, Chu Wanbing had no choice but to set aside her pride and bow, saying, "Daoist Yuanding, I beg you to save the countless people of Jinling!"

Yuanding snorted, "Little girl, save the flattery. The Yin-Yang Gathering Formation is extremely complex and difficult. I can't think of anyone else with such a level of formation mastery except for that scoundrel Zihe!"

Hongjun angrily exclaimed, "Zihe? This man is so vicious, actually murdering the entire city's inhabitants!"

Yuanding sneered, "Back then, I, Xianzong, Jingchen, Yunzong, and Zihe were five fellow students. Among us, Xianzong's martial arts and magic were the best, followed closely by Jingchen and me. That scoundrel Zihe had limited martial talent, so he devoted himself to studying formations. Ever since he figured out some tricks of the trade, he's been arrogant and boastful, claiming to be the number one formation master in the world. He challenged Jingchen and me, but he lost face completely and has since disappeared without a trace. I never imagined he'd be licking Cang Shitian's boots today!"

Chu Wanbing listened to his eloquent words... She stamped her foot and scolded, "What time is it now? Daoist Yuanding, you still have the mind to reminisce about the past!"

Yuanding laughed and said, "Little girl, since I have discovered you, how can Zihe succeed? You go stand aside and watch how I break him!"

Chu Wanbing asked curiously, "How do you plan to break this Yin-Yang Reversal Formation?"

Yuanding said, "The time has not yet come, so I am holding back. When noon comes, I will inject my Yang energy into the rock." Hongjun asked curiously, "Won't injecting Yang energy make the Yang fire even more intense?"

Yuanding said proudly, "What do you know, kid? This formation is already at the limit of extreme Yang. By injecting Yang energy, I am giving it a chance to decline after reaching its peak, directly bursting Zihe's ghost formation. Even if the Yang fire erupts, it will only concentrate nearby and will not spread. As long as the nearby people are moved away, everything will be fine!"

Upon hearing this, Bai Lingyu immediately ordered people to evacuate the surrounding people and clear the entire street.

"Although Yuan Ding's character is flawed, he possesses a certain pride and genuine talent. Otherwise, Uncle-Master Jing Chen wouldn't have recommended him to Jinling!"

Although the other's words carried a hint of boasting and contempt, Hong Jun remained unperturbed, silently taking his words to heart and processing them.

Chu Wanbing watched with amusement: "Hong Jun is truly humble and eager to learn. Regardless of friend or foe, he seizes every opportunity to learn from the other's strengths!"

Yuan Ding looked up at the sky, calculating the time. As noon approached, Yuan Ding's Daoist robe billowed, and a crimson light flashed across the sky—the Daoist divine weapon, the Burning Sun Blade. He gripped the blade with one hand, pointing it straight to the heavens, drawing in the thunder and fire of the nine heavens—his unique skill, the Burning Heaven Thunder Force.

The thunder and fire energy flowed into the supremely yang weapon. Yuan Ding then reversed his grip, thrusting the blade upside down into the rock, continuously channeling in abundant yang energy, intending to break through the Yin-Yang Reversal Formation. However, he hadn't anticipated the influence of the Earthly Branches Formation, and his vital energy instantly dissipated, leaving him with less than 30% of his power.

Yuan Ding's power was insufficient; instead of breaking the formation, it absorbed his yang energy, becoming even more powerful. With a loud boom, Yuan Ding and his sword were blasted away by the surging yang fire.

Yuan Ding's hair and beard were charred yellow, his face covered in blood, and he angrily shouted, "Outrageous! I never anticipated this Earthly Branch Formation! Jing Chen is truly harming himself and others!"

After grumbling, Yuan Ding looked at Chu Wanbing and shouted, "Little girl, quickly pour your Phoenix Spirit Fire into the stone!"

Since his own power was insufficient, Chu Wanbing, with her fire-elemental cultivation, would take over.

Chu Wanbing did not hesitate, drawing her Phoenix Sword, activating her Phoenix Yuan Power, and plunging the sword into the stone, making it glow red-hot.

Chu Wanbing felt the fire within the stone growing increasingly intense, and it was also drawing away her own Yuan Power, which seemed extremely troublesome. However, she gritted her teeth and persevered, pushing her power forward, even if it meant suffering a great loss of vital energy! The five-colored phoenix fire burned ever brighter. Chu Wanbing's hairpin broke, and her beautiful hair fell loose, yet danced with the surge of her true energy. Enveloped in the five-colored flames, she appeared from afar like a celestial goddess.

The phoenix spirit fire, combined with the Heaven-Burning Thunder, amplified its power, the extremely yang and powerful energy causing cracks to appear in the rocks.

Chu Wanbing raised her eyebrows, let out a delicate shout, and forced herself to the limit of her cultivation. The phoenix fire reached its peak, and with a deafening roar, a violent explosion erupted, setting the entire street ablaze.

Bai Lingyu, her heart heavy with worry for Chu Wanbing, summoned the power of the Qilin and plunged into the sea of fire, calling out, "Bing'er, where are you? Answer me quickly!"

A weak voice came from within the flames: "Lingyu, I'm alright."

Chu Wanbing slowly emerged from the fire, her face pale, but still wearing a confident smile: "Lingyu, I possess the bloodline of the Phoenix; mere flames are nothing to me."

Bai Lingyu finally breathed a sigh of relief, but Yuan Ding's face remained ashen. He snorted, "Don't be too happy yet. There was an interruption when the Yang Fire was being channeled; the formation had actually been activated!"

The interruption he referred to was Chu Wanbing's subsequent takeover, which resulted in the Yang Fire not being delivered in time. Although the formation was broken, several ley lines were still burned by the Yang Fire.

Hongjun's face was grim. He pointed in a direction and said, "A ray of Yang Fire is heading towards this place. Two Dragon Ladies, hurry home and save people."

With that, he followed the other burned ley lines, ordering the Daoist disciples to quickly rescue the people.

Chu Wanbing and Bai Lingyu's expressions changed drastically. The direction Yuan Ding pointed was clearly towards the Dragon Mansion. When the Dragon Mansion was built, a geomantically auspicious site was chosen, and there happened to be a cave beneath it.

"This is bad!"

The two women took off running, using all their strength to rush home.

They jumped over the wall and entered the house, just in time to see Cui Die and Qin Suya strolling in the courtyard. They immediately called out, "Sister Die, quickly take Suya away!"

Cui and Qin were stunned for a moment. Chu Wanbing was so anxious that she was almost crying, stamping her feet and saying, "Don't stand there, hurry up and go!"

Cui Die immediately reacted, helping Qin Suya and using her lightness skill to rush out of the house.

Chu Wanbing said, "Lingyu, let's split up. I'll go inform the other sisters, and you quickly evacuate the servants." Bai Lingyu nodded and immediately went to do so.

Chu Wanbing rushed into the inner courtyard and notified the women to leave. Although Lianyi, Lin Birou, and Yu Wuhen didn't know the specifics, seeing how anxious she was, they hesitated and immediately used their lightness skills to leave. During the evacuation, the three women helped Bai Lingyu evacuate the servants.

Chu Wanbing then went to look for Wei Xuexin, but after searching all the rooms, she couldn't find her. She became increasingly anxious. Just as she was about to search again, she suddenly spotted a figure sitting in the pavilion by the pond—it was Wei Xuexin.

Chu Wanbing immediately ran to the pavilion, grabbed her hand, and said, "Xuexin, come with me quickly, we can't stay here any longer!"

Wei Xuexin unhappily pulled her hand away, coldly turned her head away, and ignored her.

Chu Wanbing was in a desperate situation, pleading incessantly, "Xuexin, please, I'm begging you, don't be angry anymore, come with me quickly, or it will be too late!"

Wei Xuexin remained silent, staring blankly at the pond, unaware that the water level was slowly decreasing and bubbles were rising from it.

"Oh no, this is the location of the underground cave!"

Chu Wanbing thought to herself, realizing the danger. The Dragon Mansion was located in a feng shui treasure land, a place that could gather wind and water, and the pond filled with clear water was the location of this treasure cave. What was once a feng shui treasure cave was now the beginning of disaster.

Knowing that this place was not safe to stay, Chu Wanbing steeled her heart and prepared to knock Wei Xuexin unconscious and forcibly take her away.

But before her fingers could touch the pressure points, Wei Xuexin turned around and blocked her attack.

"Get away from me, don't bother me!"

Wei Xuexin said coldly.

Chu Wanbing didn't have time to argue with her. Instantly, she unleashed a barrage of finger strikes, alternating between real and feints, determined to drag this stubborn little mule away, even if it meant using heavy force.

However, Chu Wanbing had already exhausted her energy, so these finger strikes posed no threat to Wei Xuexin. With a flick of her sleeve, she dispersed the strikes.

Wei Xuexin frowned and said, "If you keep pressing me, don't blame me for being impolite!"

With that, she formed a sword incantation and pointed it at her elder sister.

Chu Wanbing also got angry, stomping her foot and cursing, "You wretched girl, I came to save you out of kindness, but you don't appreciate it. If you want to fight, then fight! Who's afraid of who!"

Just as the sisters' fierce battle was about to erupt, the earth's yang fire had already burned into the cave. The pond was like boiling soup, constantly bubbling up. Then, the ground erupted, and pillars of fire shot out of the ground, exploding incessantly. Before the two beauties could react, they saw a bright light emerge from the ground, accompanied by violent air currents rushing in all directions.

Chu Wanbing gritted her teeth and stepped forward, using her slender body to shield Wei Xuexin… Bai Lingyu and the others had mostly moved outside the mansion and were waiting for Chu Wanbing and Wei Xuexin to come out when a burst of flames shot into the sky, scorching heat waves swept in all directions, and after a deafening roar, the vast Dragon Mansion was reduced to ruins. The erupting ground fire spread in all directions, burning down many houses and causing suffering to the people, who cried out in despair. “

Oh no!” The women gasped in shock. Lin Birou, disregarding the raging inferno, used her inner energy to protect herself and rushed inside. Cui Die followed. Yu Wuhen, more composed, said, “Lingyu, the most urgent task is to maintain order in the city. We can handle this. You go to the military camp!”

Bai Lingyu had no choice but to suppress her worries and quickly ran back to the military camp to lead the troops into the city to maintain order. In addition, they strengthened the city's defenses to prevent the enemy from taking advantage of the chaos.

Lin Birou and Cui Die joined forces, using their icy true energy to clear a path and search for the sisters' whereabouts amidst the ruins of the mansion. Suddenly, they heard mournful cries, the tone as tragic as a cuckoo weeping blood.

"It sounds like Xuexin's cries!"

Cui Die realized and immediately rushed towards the sound. After cleaving through the flames with a palm strike, she saw Wei Xuexin kneeling on the ground, holding Chu Wanbing in her arms, crying out in anguish, "Sister, sister, wake up..."

Cui Die looked closely and couldn't hold back her tears. Chu Wanbing's white clothes were stained with blood and filth, her garments torn, revealing her scarred skin. Her once beautiful face was now unrecognizable, especially her left cheek, where a deep wound stretched from her forehead to her chin, the raw flesh exposed—a horrifying sight. Chu Wanbing herself had her eyes closed, her life hanging in the balance.

Suddenly, Chu Wanbing coughed a few times, spitting out a mouthful of blood. She slowly opened her eyes, glanced at Wei Xuexin, and murmured, "Xuexin, you're finally willing to talk to me..." She

immediately fainted again.

Bai Lingyu returned to the military camp and immediately dispatched Xu Hu, ordering him to lead three thousand soldiers into the city to rescue the people and suppress the rebels, while she herself personally guarded the city walls.

The sound of horses' hooves echoed in the distance, raising clouds of dust—it was the enemy's vanguard. Bai Lingyu's mind sharpened, her teeth clenched, she gripped her Qilin Silver Spear, and glared angrily ahead.

I originally wanted to write about the wedding night, but this Yu Ting'er is just like Wei Xuexin back then; it seems unoriginal and repetitive, so I simply skipped it.

In comparison, I much prefer the current Yu Xiuting. Slowly conquering this cold and elegant beauty is much more interesting; otherwise, pushing a clingy little girl isn't very interesting to write about, and even I can't get into it...
