[Wuxia] Long Hui's Male Concubine (Complete) - 15

In the fourteenth chapter,

Confucius groaned a few times, saying, "Damn it, it must be lice from the bookshelf that got on me! It's so itchy!"

Mencius also kept writhing, pretending to be unbearably itchy. When Jin Ziyi saw their actions, he felt the pain and itching on his body intensify. He silently circulated the Purple Yang Mystic Art, and the scalding true energy flowed through his body, instantly reducing the numbness and itching by half. However, his clothes began to emit a foul odor, which was disgusting and unpleasant.

Meng Ke wrinkled his nose and said, "Uncle-Master, did you burn the lice on your body with your internal energy?"

Jin Ziyi suppressed her nausea and said, "That's right!"

Meng Ke exclaimed, "Uncle-Master, there's a kind of stinky lice in Mingzhi Garden. They die as soon as they come into contact with heat, and they emit a foul stench before they die. We used to deal with these lice by simply taking off our clothes and soaking them in water for a few days."

He spoke eloquently, but it was all made up. Given Jin Ziyi's status, he wouldn't care about the lice in the bookshelves. Whether they smelled good or bad was entirely up to him. Moreover, he wouldn't mention such a shameful thing to others, so Meng Ke dared to speak so confidently. These three books had long been covered with Thousand Itch Powder by Chu Wanbing. The Thousand-Faced Gentleman had been tortured to the point of near death by this powder from the little demoness. Now, not only was the same trick being used again, but several other ingredients had been added. As long as they came into contact with heat, they would emit a foul stench. Jin Ziyi's use of Ziyang True Qi to relieve the itch played right into the little demoness's hands.

Feeling deeply embarrassed that he, a renowned scholar, was now covered in such a foul stench, Jin Ziyi immediately said in a deep voice, "Quickly prepare some fragrant water for me."

He didn't want too many people to know about this disgraceful act, so he instructed Kong Meng to prepare it.

The two replied "Yes," and hurriedly ran off to prepare hot water and clean clothes.

Using their well-known identities from the Yu Juan Lou, things were much easier for them.

"Uncle-Master, the hot water is ready, and the clean clothes are laid out for you."

The two led Jin Ziyi into the bathhouse and then left.

Jin Ziyi took off his clothes and began washing himself in the tub. Suddenly, a fragrant breeze wafted in, accompanied by a melodious, bell-like laugh, alluring to the bone.

Jin Ziyi immediately became alert, his Purple Yang True Qi automatically protecting him from seductive arts.

Looking up, he saw a bewitching woman in the bathhouse, with eyebrows like distant mountains, skin like jade, and lips like crimson cinnabar. Her autumn-like features rippled like water, exuding a foxy charm.

"Master Yunhan is indeed handsome and dashing, his skin so white and tender, it makes my heart flutter!"

A hint of wantonness flashed in the foxy woman's eyes, and Jin Ziyi's face suddenly surged with anger and murderous intent.

The foxy woman giggled, "Master Jin, do you want to kill me? Then come on, I won't fight back!" As she spoke, she put her hands behind her back, thrusting out her full and ample breasts, striking a pose of complete submission.

Jin Ziyi wished he could tear this vixen to pieces, but at this moment, being naked made movement extremely inconvenient. Although he was nearly forty years old, he had never been near a woman and was still a virgin. Although he was limited by his talent and could not cultivate to the ninth level of the Saint Yang Realm, because he had condensed a pure Yang Qi, his power was extremely strong, arguably the most powerful Immortal Yang Power in the history of Confucianism.

"Yueling, you slut, so arrogant! Aren't you afraid Master Jin will kill you with a single blow?"

A cloying female voice echoed in the bathhouse, accompanied by hissing sounds. A voluptuous woman with a slender waist walked in with graceful bearing, surrounded by various venomous snakes—it was Teng Ji.

Madam Yueling laughed, "Men say that dying under a peony is a romantic death. If I could die at the hands of a handsome man like Master Jin, my life would not have been in vain."

Yueling had seen countless men and immediately recognized that Jin Ziyi was a pure yang being. Knowing his Confucian ways, she was certain he wouldn't dare expose himself, so she flirted with him without restraint.

Jin Ziyi felt his face burning, trembling with anger. Madam Yueling continued, "Master Jin, a handsome man like you must have experienced the pleasures of love, right?"

Her words became increasingly explicit, but she maintained a distance from Jin Ziyi to be ready for any unexpected situations.

Lady Yueling raised an eyebrow and laughed, "If that's the case, it would be a pity. How about I serve you, Master? I guarantee you'll never forget it."

Jin Ziyi, unable to bear it any longer, suddenly raised her hand and unleashed a jet of water. The jet contained the true energy of the Purple Sun, and its fierce force struck Lady Yueling directly.

Lady Yueling dared not confront it head-on and hurriedly dodged. The jet of water punched a large hole in the wall, which secretly astonished the two demons.

Teng Ji suppressed her astonishment and said, "With your skill, Headmaster Jin, you could easily capture that vixen with a single leap. Why go through the trouble of attacking from afar?"

Madam Yue Ling chuckled and said, "I know, Headmaster must be shy."

Teng Ji chuckled and said, "I see. But Headmaster, everyone comes into this world naked. Why worry about clothes and covering your face?"

Madam Yue Ling teased, "Elder, Headmaster is a refined and cultured gentleman, unlike me, who is so unrestrained."

Teng Ji said "Oh," and then said, "The vixen is being horny again. Does she want to see Headmaster's body?"

Madam Yue Ling nodded and smiled sweetly.

"Then I'll lend you a hand!"

Teng Ji chuckled, using the Heaven-Mending Technique to control the venomous snakes to crawl into the bucket. Jin Ziyi was terrified and immediately activated the Purple Sun Profound Skill, the scalding true energy boiling the water. The snakes were all scalded to death, but they spat out a lot of venom before dying.

In her haste, Jin Ziyi jumped out of the bucket, her naked body completely exposed.

Madam Yueling chuckled, "The headmaster is quite well-endowed!"

Teng Ji chimed in, "As the saying goes, a gentleman is open and honest, while a petty person is always worried and anxious. The headmaster is truly a gentleman, even exposing his two testicles!"

"You vixen, I, Jin, will surely tear you to pieces!"

Jin Ziyi was furious and swept a thunderous palm at Teng Ji. Teng Ji didn't fight him head-on, using the Spirit Snake Technique to dodge, and then summoned the venomous snakes to attack him.

Jin Ziyi channeled her true energy again, the scorching true qi burning so intensely that the poisonous snakes could not approach within five steps of her.

Lady Yueling exclaimed, "Elder Tengji, why is the headmaster so angry?"

Tengji sneered, "The headmaster is a perfectly fine man, and you, you slut, have seen him all over. How could he not be angry?"

Lady Yueling retorted, "Elder, you've seen quite a bit too, haven't you? You only remember calling

me 'this slave'!" "You wretch, shut up!"

Jin Ziyi angrily unleashed her inner energy, the Purple Yang True Qi burning ever brighter, enveloping the entire bathhouse in purple mist. The surrounding poisonous snakes were forced to flee by the heat.

Tengji, quick-witted and agile, immediately threw a poison gas bomb, which exploded with a bang, filling the room with poisonous smoke and obscuring vision.

The two demons used the poisonous smoke to roam around, constantly launching sneak attacks. Although Jin Ziyi was furious, she remained composed in her movements, maintaining an impenetrable defense.

After exchanging several blows, Jin Ziyi sensed that one of the two demonic auras had diminished. However, his keen senses told him that the two demonic women were still inside the house, and one of them was preparing to unleash a devastating attack.

A dagger approached Jin Ziyi silently, its speed astonishing, yet it didn't stir a wisp of wind, as if it were part of the surrounding environment.

Jin Ziyi felt his eyelids twitch; his martial instincts kicked in, and he raised his hand to block. He held his arm across his chest, deflecting the dagger aimed at his heart, but this only brought a sharp pain; his arm was pierced and bleeding profusely.

Enraged, Jin Ziyi once again channeled his peak power, dispersing the poisonous smoke.

But the snake and the fox had already escaped outside. Lady Yueling left behind a coquettish laugh: "Master, you should put on your clothes before going out. If others see your beautiful body, I will be jealous!"

Jin Ziyi's face flushed. She quickly put on her clothes, put the Yunhan Token in her bosom, and was about to rush out to chase after the two vixens.

Unexpectedly, upon stepping outside, she saw Kong Qiu lying on the ground, spitting blood. She quickly channeled some internal energy into him and asked, "What happened? Where is your senior brother?"

Kong Qiu opened his eyes and said, "It was...it was Meng Ke from Canghai Pavilion. He and two demonic women ambushed me. My senior brother has already given chase."

Jin Ziyi examined his pulse and sensed a blazing yang energy within him—the internal force of the Immortal Yang Realm. He stomped his foot and cursed, "Immortal Yang Realm internal force! Besides Zong Yixiao and Senior Brother Yin, only Meng Ke and I have reached this level. No wonder those demons could easily enter the Confucian school's important territory; it turns out this little beast colluded with outsiders!"

"Where did they go?"

Jin Ziyi asked. Kong Qiu pointed east.

Jin Ziyi stared for a moment and indeed sensed two demonic energies moving eastward. Without hesitation, she hurriedly gave chase.

After Jin Ziyi left, a figure emerged from the bushes not far away. It was Meng Ke. He helped Kong Qiu up and sighed, "Junior brother, I'm so sorry to have made you take my blow."

Kong Qiu shook his head and said, "Jin Ziyi is a cautious person. If I don't really hit him, I can't fool him at all."

Meng Ke patted him on the back, helping him to circulate blood. With the help of Meng Ke's true energy, Kong Qiu's pain was greatly reduced.

Just then, the hissing of a snake came from the bushes. A large, spotted snake, as thick as an arm, brought a token to them.

Kong Qiu exclaimed happily, "The scheme to steal the sky and switch the sun has succeeded! This blow was worth it!"

It turned out that the whole thing was a setup. First, Kong and Meng tricked Jin Ziyi into taking a bath, making him put the token aside. Then, Teng Ji used poisonous smoke as cover to drive the snake to switch the token with the real one. Immediately afterward, Jin Ziyi was in a hurry to chase down the two demons and had no time to distinguish the real token from the fake one.

Mencius picked up the token and helped Confucius leave immediately.

Before the Rain-Rolled Pavilion, purple qi and Buddhist light mingled, fierce palms clashed with the precept-wielding sword. Ku Hai pressed forward with his sword, while Yin Fangxi deflected the attack with a

flick of his sleeve. One attacked, the other defended, each displaying their power. Although it was merely a cover, Ku Hai, having a Confucian master provide him with sparring, carefully seized the rare opportunity, unleashing his full knowledge. Yin Fangxi, respecting his elder's style, held back some of his attacks, making it difficult to determine a winner for the time being.

After more than ten rounds, Yin Fangxi said, "Buddha's mind is enlightened by Zen, and the divine sword dispels demonic intent. I have learned a little of this; let's finish with this move!"

Ku Hai nodded in agreement.

Yin Fangxi gathered his energy and unleashed a fierce palm strike, purple qi transforming into a tongue of fire.

Ku Hai focused his mind, swung his sword to protect himself, and used the Arhat's Sword-Sealing Technique to deflect the purple flames. However, lacking a solid foundation, he still retreated several steps.

Yin Fangxi hadn't used his full strength, so Ku Hai only felt a tightness in his chest and wasn't injured.

He sheathed his sword, bowed, and thanked him, saying, "Thank you for your guidance, senior!"

Yin Fangxi smiled and said, "Your Buddhist foundation is quite good, and I have also benefited greatly. Now that it's late, why don't you rest for the night at my Rain Roll Pavilion?" Ku Hai bowed in thanks, saying, "Thank you for your hospitality, Pavilion Master, but it would be impolite of me to refuse."

Yin Fangxi smiled and ordered his disciples to attend to Ku Hai. Just then, a group of figures came running from afar.

Yin Fangxi glanced at him, recognized the leader, and frowned, saying, "Zhang He, what brings you to my Yujuan Tower?"

The scholar leading the group was Jin Ziyi's disciple. He said urgently, "Uncle Yin, I received an order from my master that demons are attacking Yujuan Tower, and I am to come to their aid immediately."

Yin Fangxi frowned and said, "Nonsense! What demons are attacking? Zhang He, who told you this?" Zhang He said somewhat aggrievedly, "It was Uncle Yin's eldest disciple, Senior Brother Li Yun, who told me, and he even brought Master's Yunhan Token."

Yin Fangxi turned around and called out, "Li Yun, come out!"

A man of about twenty-three or twenty-four years old walked out. It was Li Yun. He said with surprise, "Junior Brother Zhang, I have been staying by Master's side the whole time. I have never been to Yunhan Academy, let alone taken Uncle Jin's token."

Zhang He was completely bewildered. He took out an ancient token from his pocket, which was the Yunhan Token.

Yin Fangxi frowned and said, "Let me see it."

Zhang He presented the token, which Yin Fangxi held in his hand and weighed it. He confirmed the weight was correct, then examined it closely, finding the patterns and carvings indistinguishable from the real thing. He then used the Purple Yang Mystic Art, channeling his Purple Yang True Qi into his left hand and drawing characters in the air with his right. This was a characteristic of Confucian tokens, specifically designed to prevent forgery.

As long as the Purple Yang Mystic Art was channeled into the token, and the eight characters "孝悌忠信礼义廉耻" (filial piety, brotherly love, loyalty, trustworthiness, propriety, righteousness, integrity, and shame) were written in the air, the genuine token would display these eight characters, while a forgery would show none.

Yin Fangxi angrily threw down the token and snorted, "Zhang He, you've been tricked!"

Zhang He was shocked and murmured, "Then who was Li Yun just now...?"

Yin Fangxi said, "The Fox Clan has a set of ever-changing illusion techniques. The person you just saw must have been a fox demon in disguise. You've fallen for their diversionary tactic!"

Just then, crimson flames erupted in the direction of Yunhan Academy, and thick smoke shot into the sky, clearly visible even ten miles away. Zhang He's face turned ashen, and he stamped his foot, saying, "Damn it, Yunhan Academy is in danger!"

Yin Fangxi said, "Don't panic. Your master is reading at Mingzhi Garden. I'll send someone to inform him immediately."

Yin Fangxi immediately ordered someone to invite Jin Ziyi. Unexpectedly, the disciple reported back: "Uncle Jin... he went to hunt down two demonesses, and we don't know where he is now!"

Upon hearing this, Zhang He turned ashen-faced and knelt down with a thud, kowtowing and pleading, "Uncle Yin, please save Yunhan Academy!"

Yin Fangxi hurriedly helped him up and said, "Nephew, don't panic. Your uncle will not stand idly by and watch the demons run rampant."

He immediately ordered, "Li Yun, immediately seal off the Rain Scroll Tower and strictly guard all the sentry posts. Unless you see your master holding the Rain Scroll Token and knocking on the door, ignore him completely."

He did this to prevent the demons from playing another deceptive trick and to thwart their scheme of luring them away from the mountain.

Ku Hai said, "This humble monk is willing to go with you, Master."

Yin Fangxi thought for a moment and then nodded in agreement: "Buddha's martial arts are quite good. If you can lend a helping hand, it will save me a lot of trouble. Then I will trouble you!"

After giving the order, he led Zhang He and the others to Yunhan Academy. Unexpectedly, there was no sign of any fighting. The fire was lit outside, and the disciples of Yunhan Academy surrounded the fire. In the middle, a disheveled man was roasting a wild boar over a large fire. Golden fat was flowing from the pork, and the fragrant aroma of meat filled the air, making people's mouths water.

Yin Fangxi, finding this strange, summoned a disciple to inquire. The disciple replied, "Reporting to Master Uncle, this madman dragged a wild boar here to roast meat. We came out to chase him away, but his internal energy repelled us. We dared not act rashly and surrounded him, waiting for Master to return and take charge. Now that Master Uncle is here, please enlighten us."

Yin Fangxi nodded, staring intently at the disheveled man.

He casually tore off a piece of roasted meat, put it in his mouth, chewed a few times, picked up his wine gourd, gulped down several mouthfuls of strong liquor, and then exclaimed, "Eating roasted meat and drinking fine wine, this is truly delightful!"

Yin Fangxi said in a deep voice, "You stinking monkey, how dare you invade Yunhan Academy!"

Yuan Qitian was stunned for a moment, then said innocently, "You poor wretch, don't wrong an innocent man. I haven't touched a single brick or tile of this dilapidated courtyard from beginning to end. I'm roasting wild boar meat here, has that bothered you?"

Yin Fangxi quickly calmed down, thinking to himself, "Although the ape is highly skilled in martial arts, even if the entire demon race were to come out in full force, they might not be able to take down Yunhan Academy. Given his personality, it's unlikely he'd do something so thankless. But why would he deliberately lure me here…?" (Advertisement break: Still relying on your hands? How can that be enjoyable? Suddenly, Yin Fangxi realized, "Zhang He couldn't possibly not know how to verify the authenticity of the token…"

Thinking this, he turned and struck Zhang He with a palm.

Zhang He sidestepped, easily dodging Yin Fangxi's fierce palm.

Yin Fangxi snorted, "Zhang He doesn't have such good martial arts skills. Who exactly are you!"

"Zhang He" chuckled, wiping his face with his hand. A shimmering light revealed a stunningly beautiful face, a charming smile, and amorous eyes—it was Chu Wanbing.

Yin Fangxi angrily said, "You brat, it's you!"

Chu Wanbing giggled and said, "It's me, is it strange, Master Yin?"

Yin Fangxi said hatefully, "Where's Zhang He?"

Chu Wanbing smiled and said, "Master Yin, don't be nervous, he's sleeping by the pond."

Yuan Qitian laughed and said, "Old Yin, I heard you've already reached the Saint Yang Realm, I'd like to exchange a few blows with you—take this!"

Yuan Gu Dali suddenly unleashed his power, his fist like a stampede of ten thousand horses. Yin Fangxi dared not be careless and used the Zi Yang Xuan Gong to counter.

If we talk about scorching yang energy, the Zi Yang Xuan Gong is the best, but if we talk about sheer strength, Yuan Gu Dali is the best. As soon as they made contact, Yin Fangxi was three points weaker and retreated several steps.

Chu Wanbing took advantage of the situation and drew the Feng Yan Sword, stabbing it towards Yin Fangxi's back.

Chu Wanbing's swordsmanship was among the best of the young generation, and Yin Fangxi dared not underestimate her. He rolled up his scholar's robe and used softness to overcome hardness, deflecting the Feng Yan Sword's edge.

At this moment, Yuan Qitian threw another punch. Yin Fangxi, unable to gather his strength, was knocked back several steps by the force of the punch. Seeing this, the surrounding disciples immediately rushed forward to help, but unexpectedly, Chu Wanbing waved her hand and sprinkled a packet of medicinal powder. Several disciples immediately collapsed to the ground with their legs giving way.

Yin Fangxi angrily shouted, "You witch used poison! Everyone be careful!"

Yuan Qitian laughed and said, "Take care of yourself first!"

As he spoke, he threw several more punches. Yin Fangxi dared not meet the punches head-on and dodged them, but Chu Wanbing harassed him from the side, forcing him to be distracted. However, this gave Yuan Qitian an opportunity to close in and kill him.

Yin Fangxi skillfully redirected the force, immediately retreating to dissipate the impact of the punch without injury. Just as he retreated, a familiar voice came from behind: "Senior Brother Yin, I'm here to help you!"

It was Jin Ziyi who appeared just in time. He reached out to support the retreating Yin Fangxi and said, "These demons are truly going too far. Today, Jin Ziyi will fight alongside Senior Brother and vow to slay these evil spirits!"

Yin Fangxi nodded and said, "Alright!"

Suddenly, Ku Hai's eyes widened, and he drew his sword, slashing at Jin Ziyi: "Demon, don't try to deceive this humble monk!"

Jin Ziyi hurriedly retreated, avoiding the blade but unable to escape the holy light of Buddhism, which revealed his true form—a handsome but wicked man—the fox clan elder Yue Junwan.

Yin Fangxi said gratefully, "Thank you for your help. May I ask how the Buddha discerned this demon's true form?"

Ku Hai, holding a knife, stood beside him and said, "Lord Yin, this humble monk saw this person take something from you!"

Yin Fangxi's expression changed, and he hurriedly felt around on his person, pulling out the Rain Scroll Token from his robes.

At this moment, Yue Junwan also took out an identical token, grinning and saying, "You poor wretch, yours is fake. I was trying to pull off a switcheroo, but this bald monk saw through it."

Chu Wanbing said, "Elder Yue, you should leave first. Elder Yuan and I will cover your retreat!"

Yue Junwan agreed and immediately left. At this moment, Ku Hai shouted, "Demon, don't run!"

With that, he took a Zen-like step, transforming into a beam of Buddhist light and chasing after him.

Yin Fangxi felt a little more at ease and focused on dealing with the powerful enemy before him.

"This little monk's been hanging out with petty thieves for a while; he can spout nonsense without batting an eye."

Chu Wanbing, though nearly bursting with laughter, maintained a composed and focused demeanor. Her delicate hands danced like phoenix wings, her holy sword's sharp edge merging with demonic powers, unleashing a flurry of sword blossoms. The wide-ranging attack not only covered Yin Fangxi but also forced the surrounding Confucian scholars to retreat.

Yuan Qitian laughed heartily, "Little girl, well done! Force these poor bastards away so your uncle can deal with this old bastard himself."

With that, he lunged forward, slapping three palms in quick succession. The palm strike was breathtaking, sweeping away all the surrounding air pressure. Yin Fangxi felt as if he had fallen into a vacuum, his chest tight and breathless.

While his foundation wasn't as strong as Yuan Qitian's, the difference was minimal. Regaining his composure, he used the Confucian technique of subtle movement—the Ruyi Illusion Hand—converting qi into force and force into power, trying to deflect the immense force of the Primordial Great Strength and maintain his balance.

Just as the two were locked in fierce combat, Chu Wanbing's sword suddenly shifted, simplifying the complex attack. No longer restraining the surrounding Confucian disciples, she unleashed a Returning to Truth Sword Technique, thrusting towards Yin Fangxi's right flank. With the giant ape attacking from the front and the phoenix fire sword from the side, Yin Fangxi was caught in a pincer movement, surrounded by two demons.

In desperation, he channeled his Purple Sun True Qi into the token, using it as a shield to block Feng Yan's blade.

With a thud, Chu Wanbing's sword failed to advance an inch, instead being forced back several feet by the powerful true qi.

"The token wasn't stolen, this one is real!"

Yin Fangxi couldn't help but feel suspicious. If the token was real, then the one in the demon fox's hand was fake. Why did he claim to have succeeded? Was he lying to avoid punishment for failing to steal the token…? Several thoughts flashed through his mind, but none made sense. Suddenly, a phrase came to mind—"beating the grass to alert the snake!" "Damn it, that vixen is trying to trick me into showing her the token, and then..."

Just as he realized this, a powerful, oppressive aura struck his right hand.

Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, Yuan Qitian unleashed three consecutive punches, landing squarely on Yin Fangxi's forearm. The domineering force nearly shattered his arm bones, and the excruciating pain caused his right arm to suddenly feel weak. His fingers loosened, and the token fell to the ground.

At the same time, a fragrant breeze blew by, and a seductive figure flashed by, snatching the token, giggling, and leaving.

Yuan Qitian also laughed heartily, hoisted the sizzling, oily wild boar onto his shoulder, and turned to leave, tossing out a parting remark: "It smells so good, can't waste it, take it back to have with my wine!"

Yin Fangxi nearly fainted from anger, roaring, "Chase after them! Get the token back at all costs!"

Upon hearing this, the Confucian disciples sprang into action, following the direction the two demons had gone.

Protected by the Purple Yang Profound Skill, Yin Fangxi's arm remained intact; otherwise, it would have been shattered long ago by an ordinary expert.

He channeled his inner energy to alleviate the pain and was about to continue the pursuit when he saw a figure rushing towards him. Yin Fangxi recognized the face—it was Jin Ziyi.

He immediately shouted warily, "Who goes there? Halt immediately!"

Jin Ziyi was completely bewildered and asked curiously, "Senior Brother Yin, it's me."

Yin Fangxi scoffed, "You say you're Junior Brother Jin, but do you have any proof?"

Jin Ziyi paused, but being shrewd, he guessed what was going on. He thought, "Those two vixens infiltrated the Confucian sect; Senior Brother Yin must have encountered some demons. These demons are ever-changing; perhaps Senior Brother Yin has been deceived by them before, hence his vigilance."

Just as he was pondering, Yin Fangxi, assuming he had something to hide, broke off the engagement and struck. Jin Ziyi inwardly groaned, parrying the attack. After exchanging a few blows, Yin Fangxi recognized the Confucian martial arts and quickly withdrew his attack, apologizing, "Junior Brother Jin, I have offended you."

Jin Ziyi replied, "It's alright, Senior Brother was just being cautious."

Yin Fangxi asked, "Such a big thing happened at your Yunhan Academy, why did you return only now?"

Jin Ziyi sighed, "To my shame, I fell for the treacherous schemes of those demons." "

It turns out that when Jin Ziyi was chasing the snake and fox demons, he noticed that they seemed to be deliberately beating him up, and were specifically choosing dangerous paths and trails. Jin Ziyi became suspicious and thought to himself, "It's really strange that they dare to invade my Confucian sect with their cultivation level. As the saying goes, demons are cunning. These two demon women deliberately provoked me, and their motives are probably not simple. Either they are setting up an ambush ahead, or they are using a diversionary tactic."

Thinking of this, he immediately returned to Yunhan Academy, where he happened to meet Yin Fangxi, who had a face full of anger.

After listening to Jin Ziyi's account, Yin Fangxi couldn't help but smile bitterly, and then told him what had just happened. When he heard that the token was lost, Jin Ziyi immediately took out the token from his pocket. He hadn't had time to examine it carefully in his haste, and now he immediately used a secret method to verify its authenticity, but the result almost made him vomit blood.

Jin Ziyi crushed the token in his hand, gritting his teeth and shouting, "Outrageous! Those two vixens!"

The two men looked distressed. Just then, several disciples helped two scholars approach, reporting to Yin Fangxi, "Master, while we were chasing the demon, we found Junior Brother Sun and Senior Brother Liu lying in the grass."

Jin Ziyi recognized the two men and felt a wave of dizziness wash over him. These two were clearly the disciples who had presented him with the books earlier.

Now he finally connected the dots. Those two imposters had deliberately presented him with complete books; those three books must have been laced with some kind of drug, causing him to itch and smell bad, then tricking him into bathing and changing clothes. Finally, those two vixens sneaked into the bathhouse, "harassed" him in every way, and took the opportunity to switch the books with his body.

Meanwhile, the little demoness, disguised as Zhang He, went to seek help with a fake token. At this time, Jin Ziyi was already chasing after the two witches, leaving Yunhan Academy temporarily without a leader. Yin Fangxi would then step in to take charge and rush to Yunhan Academy to provide support.

Next, the fake Jin Ziyi would deliberately approach Yin Fangxi, then use the fake token to claim she had successfully stolen it. Yin Fangxi would instinctively pull out his real token to check, but verifying its authenticity would require some effort. With Yuan Qitian and Chu Wanbing watching closely, Yin Fangxi couldn't afford to be distracted. Once Yin Fangxi produced the token, the two demons would openly snatch it.

Thinking of this, Jin Ziyi was filled with doubt again, muttering, "Logically speaking, that fox spirit couldn't possibly know where Senior Brother kept the token, and with Senior Brother's cultivation level, it's impossible for someone to take the token silently."

Yin Fangxi said, "It was Monk Kuhai who witnessed it. If he hadn't exposed the fox demon's true form, I'm afraid I would have suffered more."

The more Jin Ziyi thought about it, the more uneasy he felt, thinking to himself, "This happened as soon as Kuhai arrived, and as soon as he exposed the fox demon's true form, the fox demon took out a fake token, and then Senior Brother Yin, in his eagerness, took out the token to check... This seems too coincidental!"

He suddenly realized, slapped his thigh, and exclaimed, "Damn it, that little bald monk is also a shill! He's in cahoots with those demons! This is outrageous... Someone, quickly go and catch that bald monk!"

But Kuhai had already fled far away under the pretext of chasing demons, and these Confucian disciples couldn't catch up with him.

Jin Ziyi calmed down, secretly pondering the identity of the mastermind behind this scheme. "First, they pandered to my preferences; then they lured me away, creating a false impression; finally, they stirred up trouble and seized the prize openly. This series of plans is intricately linked, and the most crucial element is the first link: only Confucian disciples know my preferences!"

Thinking this, two faces flashed through Jin Ziyi's mind—Mencius and Confucius!

In Chapter Fifteen, the scholar's rage...

After hiding the Rain Scroll Token at the designated location, Yuan Qitian and Chu Wanbing left. Arriving at the meeting point, they found Teng Ji, Yue Junwan and her brother, and Ku Hai had already arrived safely.

Chu Wanbing asked, "Are you all alright?"

Everyone nodded, indicating they had not encountered any danger.

Chu Wanbing asked again, "Aunt Teng, Madam Yueling, that poor wretch Jin Ziyi didn't do anything to you, did he?"

Madam Yueling giggled, "What could that scoundrel do to us? It was Elder Teng and me who did it to him..."

She blushed, her eyes sparkling with desire, and covered her mouth with a coquettish laugh, seemingly thinking of something amusing.

Teng Ji patted her, signaling her to tone it down, and then said, "Young Master, Her Majesty is there to meet us on our retreat. Jin Ziyi can't pull any tricks."

Chu Wanbing frowned, "Since Mother is there to provide support, Aunt Teng, why don't you let him come and surround and kill Jin Ziyi?"

Teng Ji said, "Young Master, you don't know, Her Majesty only instructed us to lure him into a fight. Even if Jin Ziyi catches up, Her Majesty will only force him back; she has no intention of killing him."

Chu Wanbing was somewhat puzzled and muttered softly, "Mother is really something. Killing Jin Ziyi with one strike would have been much easier, preventing him from constantly opposing us."

"Silly girl, killing Jin Ziyi may seem satisfying, but it actually benefits Cang Shitian."

Luo Qingyan emerged silently from the dense forest, her cherry lips parting slightly. "Currently, Cang Shitian is only using the pretext of punishing traitors to command the Confucian School, not truly controlling it. If Jin Ziyi is killed, the Confucian School will surely fall into chaos, leaving Yin Fangxi alone and helpless. Cang Shitian can then seize the opportunity to take over the Confucian School's power. Sparing his life will subtly restrain Cang Shitian."

Chu Wanbing suddenly understood and sighed, "Mother is so farsighted."

Luo Qingyan pinched her rosy cheeks and said, "Little girl, stop flattering me. Were you being aggressive just now?"

Chu Wanbing said sweetly, "No, I was just following Mother's instructions, using maneuvering and fighting, and my main attacks were..." "Uncle Yuan will take care of it."

Luo Qingyan carefully checked her over and, finding no injuries, felt relieved. She then glanced around with her phoenix eyes and said, "Alright, Jin Ziyi and Yin Fangxi must be chasing after the token. Right now, the Haoqi Platform must be completely empty, which is a perfect opportunity for Meng Ke and Kong Qiu to make their move. What we need to do is continue to draw the attention of the Confucian disciples to them."

The group split up and pretended to continue their escape. When the Confucian disciples were about to fall behind, they deliberately slowed down. Once the other party got close, they immediately sped up, maintaining a distance so that the Confucian disciples couldn't catch them but still had a sliver of hope of catching up, preventing them from becoming discouraged and giving up the pursuit. In this way, they continuously lured the Confucian disciples away.

"Hey, come and chase me!"

Yuan Qitian deliberately provoked the pursuers. His pace fluctuated, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Most amusingly, he carried the roasted wild boar, eating as he ran. When the Confucian disciples couldn't catch him, he would stop, eating the roasted meat and drinking strong liquor. When the pursuers were close, he would hoist the roasted boar and run, infuriating them to the point of nearly vomiting blood. They

dragged on from midnight until dawn. When they saw a plume of smoke rise into the sky, they knew Kong Meng had succeeded and immediately abandoned their pursuers, galloping away.

The group reunited a hundred miles from the edge of the world. Luo Qingyan glanced at everyone, confirming no one had fallen behind, then let out a long, clear, and resonant cry, like a phoenix's cry echoing through the heavens.

After a moment, golden light suddenly surged across the sky, dazzling yet not blinding, accompanying the rising sun.

When everyone saw the true nature of the golden light, it turned out to be a gigantic bird. Its body was enormous, with a height of over three zhang from head to toe alone. When its wings were spread out, it was over ten zhang long. Its feathers were dazzlingly golden, making it look like a huge golden sculpture.

Chu Wanbing exclaimed in surprise, "This is... a Golden Roc?"

Her alluring eyes gleamed, and after a closer look, she discovered that a magnificent wooden pavilion was attached to the Golden Roc's back. It was enclosed on all sides, with doors, windows, and beaded curtains, resembling a carriage.

Chu Wanbing was even more puzzled and asked in astonishment, "Mother, why would the Golden Roc have such a thing on it?"

Luo Qingyan smiled gently and then recounted the whole story. It turned out that when Lu Mingluan broke through her seclusion that day, her demonic aura soared into the sky, transforming into an exceptionally large phoenix demon. This attracted the Golden Roc circling over the North Sea Ice Plain. The bird wanted to compete with Lu Mingluan, so it flapped its wings in provocation. Unexpectedly, Luo Qingyan revealed her phoenix form, and the Golden Roc immediately trembled with fear.

Luo Qingyan initially intended to teach it a lesson and let it go, but Lu Mingluan suggested taming the bird into a mount. Luo Qingyan also felt that this raptor could be a great help, so she subdued it. The Golden Roc was a descendant of the Phoenix, and upon encountering Luo Qingyan, a genuine Phoenix, it dared not disobey and obediently became her mount.

"Your Aunt Lu suggested using this Golden Roc for locomotion, so we brought this big guy under our control,"

Luo Qingyan said with a smile, gently stroking the Golden Roc's feathers with her delicate hand. The giant bird recognized the Phoenix's aura and became extremely docile, emitting soft cooing sounds, like a child cuddling with its parents.

Chu Wanbing snorted, "What Aunt Lu? I don't recognize her at all! She clings to my husband like that, showing no respect for elders whatsoever. What a shameless woman!"

Lu Mingluan was no less beautiful or elegant than her, and her martial arts were far superior. The little girl felt a sense of crisis, which fueled her jealousy and made her even more hostile towards Lu Mingluan, just like when Bai Lingyu first met her.

Luo Qingyan didn't know what she was thinking, but upon hearing this, her face darkened. A thousand words were stuck in her throat, and she didn't know how to tell her the truth.

Seeing her mother's expression change slightly, Chu Wanbing inwardly cried out, "Oh no! Lu Mingluan and Mother have reconciled, their relationship is even closer than sisters. Wouldn't my words hurt Mother's feelings?"

So she quickly feigned innocence, saying, "Mother, I want to go up and sit for a while."

Luo Qingyan smiled, dispelling her embarrassment, and said, "Go ahead if you like."

Chu Wanbing giggled and walked to the golden eagle, softly saying, "Golden eagle, golden eagle, may I go up?"

The golden eagle, sensing the little phoenix's true form, was also docile, nodding repeatedly. The little girl was overjoyed and leaped up.

Luo Qingyan said to Teng Ji and Yue Ling, "This bird is incredibly magical; it can fly back to Jinling within a day. You two should go up too; it will save you some time."

Teng Ji and Yue Ling bowed in gratitude and walked towards the golden eagle.

The golden eagle initially didn't accept their offer, but after a glare from Luo Qingyan's phoenix eyes, it immediately yielded.

Luo Qingyan glanced at Ku Hai and said gently, "Little Master, please come up too."

Ku Hai shook his head and said, "There are only women up there, it's inconvenient for this humble monk to board the sedan chair. I appreciate Your Highness's kindness."

Yuan Qitian also said, "That sedan chair is so small and cramped, covered in carved jade from head to toe, it's suffocating to look at. I'll go back by myself, junior sisters, don't wait for me!"

Yue Junwan asked cautiously, "Your Highness, may I go up?"

Luo Qingyan smiled and said, "Why not? You've had a long day, why don't you go up and rest for a bit?" Yue Junwan

thanked her profusely and trotted over, only to be grabbed by Yuan Qitian: "You wicked fox, there are only women up there!" "What are you doing running up there! Stay here and drink with me!"

Yue Junwan said, "Brother Yuan, these are turbulent times, and I need to hurry back to Jinling to deal with various situations."

Yuan Qitian snorted, "Don't worry about that. I'll fly you back; my speed won't be slower than that big bird's." Yue Junwan wasn't

about to listen to him. The sedan chair on the bird's back carried four beautiful women. Apart from his sister, the other three were all stunningly beautiful. Even if he didn't dare to have lustful thoughts, he could at least stay warm in the sedan chair and escape the cold wind. But flying with this damned monkey, let alone being able to feast his eyes on the beauties, he couldn't even warm himself up. All he could do was endure the northwest and southwest winds.

Yuan Qitian had no idea about his wicked intentions. He just wanted to satisfy his craving for alcohol, but with a monk who didn't eat meat by his side, he felt quite stifled. So he simply dragged this fox along; at least he'd have someone to keep him company.

"Brother Yuan, I don't have your skills. That biting wind in the sky will freeze me to death!"

"It's alright, a little wine will warm you up." "I

can't hold my liquor. I get drunk easily, and then I'll be even more susceptible to the cold."

"Don't worry, I'll just hold you and warm you up with my body heat."

"No, I don't like that... Hey, you dead monkey, what are you doing? Put me down!"

Ignoring his objections, Yuan Qitian simply hoisted him onto his shoulder and carried him away. Luo Qingyan couldn't help but chuckle to herself.

Luo Qingyan leaped onto the eagle's back and said, "Golden Eagle, let's go—back to Jinling!"

The Golden Eagle roared to the sky, spread its wings, and unleashed a fierce wind. Within a half-mile radius, the grass and trees danced wildly, and the sand and stones churned. Instantly, it soared into the sky.

The wooden pavilion on the eagle's back was extremely luxuriously decorated. It was covered with carpets, had a tea table, and a box in one corner containing a change of clothes. A mirror hung on the wall, making it a miniature boudoir.

Luo Qingyan went inside, where Chu Wanbing, Teng Ji, and Yue Ling were already sitting on the carpet waiting for her. Luo Qingyan took off her embroidered shoes, revealing a pair of fair and delicate feet. Her tender skin had a faint pink hue, and her ten toes were like jade carvings. Her toenails were pale red and bright, even more beautiful than agate and mica. Teng Ji and Yue Ling were also amazed, thinking that if they were men, they would definitely fall at her feet and devoutly kiss her jade feet.

Luo Qingyan walked straight to Chu Wanbing's side and said softly, "Bing'er, you've been busy all night, aren't you tired?" The little girl had only recently recovered from her heatstroke and had just finished a fierce battle, so her energy was somewhat depleted. Hearing her mother's words, she immediately pouted and said, "I'm so tired and sleepy, Mother, can you hold Bing'er to sleep?"

Luo Qingyan chuckled, pinched her little face, and said, "Let's change out of that shabby scholar's robe first. Mother doesn't want to hold a smelly little girl."

Chu Wanbing giggled and took out of the box... She chose a dress; since everyone in the pavilion was a woman, she had no qualms. She removed her scholar's robe, leaving only her bodice and underpants. Her two round, plump breasts, like snowballs, swayed precariously with every movement. Her arms were shapely, her waist slender, and her hips formed a striking curve, her plump buttocks resembling two alluring fruits or a full moon on a silver platter. Below them were two long, straight, jade-like legs, making the female snake and fox seem pale in comparison.

The little phoenix had just finished dressing and hadn't even had time to snuggle in its mother's arms when the golden roc suddenly cried out. Luo Qingyan's beautiful face darkened, and she immediately got up to investigate. In the distance, a dragon-shaped figure roamed the sky, and the familiar silhouette came into view.

The dragon's aura pressed down, and even the golden roc dared not be presumptuous, obediently welcoming its lord's arrival.

As soon as they stepped onto the eagle's back, Long Hui asked, "Is the plan going smoothly?"

Luo Qingyan nodded and said, "Mencius and Confucius have already stolen the Desolate God's Brush, and Zong Yixiao has secretly taken them away. I believe they will arrive in Jinling soon."

Long Hui sighed, "Finally, I can breathe a sigh of relief."

Luo Qingyan then asked, "Why didn't you stay obediently in Jinling? What are you doing here all this way?"

Long Hui said with tender eyes, "I was worried about you all, so I came to check on you."

Luo Qingyan felt a surge of sweetness in her heart and stepped aside to let him in.

Chu Wanbing was quite surprised to see Long Hui and pulled him to sit down.

Luo Qingyan returned and sat down beside her daughter, her beautiful eyes gazing at Long Hui with a half-smile.

Teng Ji coughed and said, "Yueling, it's a rare opportunity to ride the golden eagle, let's go outside and enjoy the scenery."

Madam Yueling, being clever, nodded and followed her out, leaving only the three of them, entangled for countless years, inside the pavilion.

Chu Wanbing was dressed in pure white, like an ice sculpture cleansed of its grime. She wore a magnolia-colored silver-white jacket over a moon-white layered shirt, a pink sash around her waist, and a snow bamboo skirt with a pure white base. Her black hair cascaded down her shoulders, adorned with no jewelry except for a silver ribbon, which made her appear even more delicate and charming, pretty and elegant.

Although Luo Qingyan was also dressed in a plain white dress, she exuded a different aura. Her dress was simply snow-white, without a single pattern, except for a white fox fur shawl, which added a touch of luxury and glamour to the simplicity. Her eyebrows were like willow leaves, her eyes were alluring, her face was rosy, and her lips held a smile, yet her demeanor possessed a mature and composed air.

Looking at the two similar faces before him, resembling both mother and daughter, or perhaps sisters, both equally beautiful and captivating, equally alluring and elegant, the difference being that one was mature and graceful, with unparalleled elegance, while the other was delicate and refined, with a graceful and slender figure. They were both radiant, vying for attention, each with their own unique charm.

The initial amazement flashed through Long Hui's eyes only for a moment; he was no longer the impetuous youth he once was, and quickly dispelled his surprise, sitting upright to one side without looking away.

Seeing that he had come all this way to meet her, Chu Wanbing was overjoyed and said in a sweet, coquettish voice, "Little rascal, I'm sleepy!"

Long Hui smiled and said, "Then close your eyes and rest for a while. When you open your eyes, we'll be back in Jinling."

He then spread his arms, gesturing for her to rest in his embrace.

Chu Wanbing fell headfirst into her mother's arms and giggled, "Mommy's here, I don't want you to hold me."

As she spoke, she rested her head on her mother's chest. Her mother's breasts were soft and plump, exuding a sweet milky fragrance, even more comfortable than a goose feather pillow. Once Chu Wanbing rested her head on them, she didn't want to leave. She hummed a few times in a sweet voice, and her body slowly curled up into a ball, like a little white kitten.

As the little girl curled up, she wiggled her pink toes and said, "Little thief, my feet are a bit cold, can you warm them for me?"

She found the curled-up position extremely comfortable and didn't even want to stretch her feet. Long Hui had no choice but to move closer to her, holding her delicate and tender feet in his hands to warm them.

Chu Wanbing's period had just ended, and her blood and energy were somewhat depleted, so her feet felt slightly cold. After Long Hui's warm hands held them, she immediately felt incredibly comfortable.

With her head resting on her mother's fragrant embrace and her feet warmed by her husband's hands, Chu Wanbing was so comfortable that she only closed her eyes, her delicate nose emitting even breathing sounds, and slowly fell asleep.

The little girl's feet were very smooth and white, pink and rosy, as if they had been coated with a layer of pearl powder. Although they were a bit cold to the touch, they felt extremely comfortable, and Long Hui was happy to warm her feet.

His gaze couldn't help but fall on the beautiful woman who was only inches away. He noticed two smooth, delicate feet peeking out from the hem of her white skirt, almost translucent white, like pieces of snow jade, agate, or crystal amber.

Luo Qingyan felt his burning gaze and quickly pulled her skirt up to cover her feet, her face slightly flushed as she gave him a reproachful look, as if warning him—Bing'er is still here, behave yourself! Long Hui chuckled softly, doing nothing improper, simply gently warming Bing'er's feet, his gaze tender as he looked at his sleeping wife. Luo Qingyan, her eyes also filled with affection, gently stroked her daughter's face with tender care.

The peaceful scene lasted for a long time. Then, Luo Qingyan seemed to remember something and said softly with a smile, "Teng Ji and Yue Ling are still outside. Go and call them back."

Long Hui went out and called the two women in. They had been out in the cold wind and now felt much better after entering the room.

However, just after the two women sat down, Long Hui suddenly kissed Luo Qingyan's snow-white face. Teng Ji and Yue Ling were both taken aback, while Luo Qingyan was initially stunned, then a blush rose to her jade-like cheeks, slowly spreading. Her alluring phoenix eyes flashed with a complex expression—shame, anger, and a hint of joy… These two bewitching women already knew Long Hui's intentions, but they hadn't expected him to be so bold, daring to flirt with the Demon Queen in front of them, especially with Little Phoenix present.

Long Hui shrugged nonchalantly, as if it were a very natural thing to do. He then sat down next to Luo Qingyan, one arm around the beautiful woman's soft, slender waist, the other stroking Bing'er's jade-like face.

The complex expression in Luo Qingyan's eyes grew increasingly serious, her ears and neck turning bright red. Shame and anger were brewing within her, but she couldn't vent them. In the end, she could only sigh softly, acquiescing to her little devil's actions.

Teng Ji coughed lightly, then pulled Lady Yue Ling outside to admire the scenery.

Inside the pavilion, everything returned to normal.

Luo Qingyan said resentfully, "How much more do you want to humiliate me?"

Long Hui said softly, "Sister Luo, my feelings for you are as clear as day and night. How could I bear to humiliate you? Anyway, they'll find out sooner or later

. Rather than suddenly revealing it and causing a huge uproar, it's better to let a few trusted confidants know first, and then slowly tell others through subtle means." Luo Qingyan slowly closed her eyes, resting her head naturally on his shoulder, and said with a breath as sweet as orchids, "Fine, this is none of my business. Anyway, I'm entrusting Bing'er and my future to you!"

Even with the resolute threat and the tender moans of submission, smelling the two sweet fragrances, Long Hui felt an immense weight on his shoulders, but he did not back down in the slightest.

The two leaned against each other for a while longer. Chu Wanbing seemed to have rested well; her eyelids began to twitch slightly, a sign that she was about to wake up. Luo Qingyan hurriedly pushed Long Hui away, pretending nothing had happened.

The Golden Roc was incredibly fast, arriving in Jinling before evening. Its golden feathers dyed the clouds with a golden light, causing a great stir. Many people rushed out of their houses to watch. Seeing this divine beast for the first time, they felt awe and couldn't help but bow in worship.

Back in the city, Long Hui wanted to be intimate with the beautiful women, but Bing'er and the other women said it was unlucky to share a room before the wedding. Long Hui had no choice but to go to the military camp to rest. As dawn broke, he heard Shi Hong shout, "General, something's happened outside! Come quickly!"

Long Hui immediately got up, went out of his tent, and asked, "Shi Hong, what happened?"

Shi Hong replied, "General, dust is rising outside the city; it seems a large army is approaching."

Long Hui calmly said, "If they come, drive them back!"

He then put on his armor, picked up his sword, and led Shi Hong to the city wall.

The sergeant on the wall had already noticed the situation and ordered his soldiers to be on high alert, keeping a close watch on the front. Long Hui, having reached the top, focused his inner energy into his eyes, seeing a vast expanse. Sure enough, he saw a force of no less than ten thousand men, but they were unarmored and unarmed—just a group of scholars with simple clothes and clean sleeves. They were aggressively approaching Jinling! If it had been a powerful and valiant army, Long Hui would have shown no mercy and attacked them decisively. But instead, it was a group of defenseless scholars, leaving him at a loss.

The scholars had already reached the gates of Jinling City, shouting loudly, "Slay the demons! Slay the demons!"

Long Hui's face darkened. He could tell that these scholars were from Jiangnan, and their unanimous gathering to pressure Jinling indicated a hidden force.

"Close the gates!"

Knowing something was amiss, Long Hui immediately ordered the drawbridge to be raised, sealing the gates and keeping the scholars out. If they were allowed to enter the city, who knew what chaos might ensue?

Unable to enter, the scholars simply sat down, effectively blocking the main gate of Jinling.

Long Hui frowned and said, "Why aren't you studying at home? What are you doing here causing trouble?"

A scholar wearing a turban shouted, "What's the use of studying when the country is about to perish!"

Another shouted, "These demons are bringing ruin to the country! If we don't eliminate them, the world will be in chaos, and how can we concentrate on our studies?" "Yes! Quickly hand over the demons in the city, or we won't leave!"

The scholars grew increasingly agitated, their necks bulging with veins, their eyes blazing with anger, their voices rising as if they wanted to kill all the demons.

One of the scholars jumped up and pointed at Long Hui, cursing, "I recognize you! You're Long Hui! You married a demoness, willingly degenerated, and plotted against the late emperor! You treacherous and vicious villain, how dare you stand on the walls of Jinling? If I were you, I would have smashed my head against a wall and killed myself!" "

Those demonesses are lewd and wanton, specializing in seducing men. They are utterly wicked and deserve to be torn to pieces!"

Hearing the other man insult his beloved wife, Long Hui was enraged and roared, "Shut up!"

His dragon roar echoed through the heavens, silencing everyone.

Just as Long Hui's anger was surging, he heard Feng Wangchen call out, "Lord Long, please don't be angry."

Long Hui turned around and saw Feng Wangchen rushing up the city wall. He frowned and asked, "Chief Feng, why are you running so anxiously?"

Feng Wangchen ran up to him and said, "This subordinate is worried that Lord Long will be furious and kill all these scholars." Long Hui said, "The arrival of these scholars is truly strange."

Feng Wangchen said, "As the saying goes, scholars are full of youthful vigor and passionate spirit. Although they have a noble character, they are oblivious to the world around them, only focused on studying the classics, and unable to distinguish right from wrong in the current situation." " They are easily provoked by those with ulterior motives, so the Dragon Lord must not act rashly at this time,"

Long Hui said. "I'm not going to bother with these poor scholars, but it's not a solution for them to keep blocking the city gates. I can't just keep

them locked up." Feng Wangchen said, "Anyway, they can't get into the city. Let them sit here as long as they want. Once the cold wind blows tonight, I don't believe they can stay still."

Long Hui smiled and said, "Chief Feng is indeed insightful. I almost fell for their trick."

So he ordered the entire army to continue to strictly guard their posts. As long as the scholars did not attack the city, they should not engage in battle with them.

After a moment, a scholar brought over a roll of white silk, bit his finger, and wrote several large characters on it: "Evil forces wreak havoc on the land, we will shatter bones and sever souls to exterminate these demons!"

He then shouted, "Gentlemen, though we are weak and powerless, we have passionate blood and unwavering integrity. Even if our blood is spilled five steps away, we will rush into the city to slay the evil demons! Those who are not afraid of death, sign your names!" As soon as

he said this, the other scholars responded one after another, vying to bite their fingers and sign their names in blood on the white silk. They then swarmed forward, swam across the moat, and used their flesh and blood to crash into the gates of Jinling City.

Shi Hong's expression changed drastically, and he whispered, "General, should we attack or not?"

Long Hui was caught in a dilemma. If no action was taken, even the sturdiest gates of Jinling would be breached, and these ten thousand angry scholars would pose a great threat to the city. If he ordered an attack, although he could ensure temporary peace, his massacre of ten thousand people would surely breed hatred among the people of Jiangnan, which would be tantamount to giving Cang Shitian a huge advantage.

"Outrageous! This mastermind is truly despicable and shameless, actually using these bookworms!"

Long Hui cursed inwardly. He knew who the mastermind was even with a brain. When Cang Shitian disguised himself as Zhou Junci and infiltrated the Confucian school, he must have already cultivated a group of confidants. Now, as long as he sits on the throne in the capital and issues an order, his henchmen will begin to incite scholars from all over the country, pushing these bookworms with nothing but hot blood out into the open.

The city gate was being rammed repeatedly. Although it was thick and sturdy, with thousands of people taking turns charging, it was bound to fall eventually. Suddenly, a figure swept across the city wall, handsome and dashing, moving with extraordinary skill. He held a chamber pot in his hand and poured it down, the foul-smelling urine landing directly on the scholars who were gathered together.

The scholars who were drenched in urine turned pale and cried out in surprise, retreating abruptly, while the others pinched their noses and made way for him.

The man with the chamber pot chuckled self-deprecatingly, "I actually used my family's secret lightness skill to run up to the city wall to empty my bladder. If my old man knew, he'd be furious."

Long Hui couldn't help but smile, "Third Young Master, what's this all about?"

The man was none other than Murong Xi. He casually tossed aside the chamber pot and grinned, "I wanted to leave the city earlier, but the gates were tightly shut. I found out that you, Brother Long, were blocked by these bookworms. So I went to find a chamber pot. These bookworms, when they get carried away, aren't afraid of being beheaded, but they're afraid of this..." "These filthy things, just a splash of filth on them, and they'll be terrified. They're the epitome of valuing face over life!"

Long Hui laughed heartily. "Third Young Master, you're a lifesaver! You've solved my problem!"

He then ordered, "Tell the logistics team not to dump the filth. Just take the latrines and chamber pots to the city wall and give these bookworms a feast of excrement and urine!"

The order was given, and a downpour of excrement and urine began on the walls of Jinling. The scholars, who had previously shown no fear of death, scattered and fled in chaos, like a hornet's nest.

"You scoundrel! You've insulted our culture! I'll never forgive you!"

Hearing the angry curses below, Long Hui couldn't help but chuckle. A plan formed in his mind, and he smiled as he ordered, "Squads, step forward, take off your pants and urinate!"

Everyone burst into laughter. These soldiers were rough men; seeing everyone laughing and receiving orders from above, they didn't care about anything else and actually took off their pants and urinated.

"Damn it, if I could stand on the city wall of Jinling and piss, my life wouldn't have been in vain!"

A soldier timidly asked, "General, I... I haven't drunk any water or pissed today, but I ate something bad, and my stomach hurts terribly. Can I take a dump?"

This caused another burst of laughter. Long Hui laughed so hard he couldn't stop, clutching his stomach and saying, "You, you can go if you want... but be careful when you squat down, don't fall off the wall."

The soldier chuckled, climbed onto the city wall, unzipped his pants, and presented his white buttocks to the scholars below. Then,

a deafening roar filled the air. A stench permeated the entire city of Jinling. The scholars scattered like birds and beasts, jumping into the moat to wash themselves, leaving the moat covered in a layer of filth.

Murong Xi held his breath and chuckled, "The moat has become a sewage river, Brother Long, your feat is truly unprecedented!"

Long Hui was both amused and exasperated, pulling him down from the city wall. The stench was still clearly audible. After walking another five hundred steps, when the stench was gone, Long Hui dared to speak, "Third Young Master, I really owe you a debt of gratitude today, otherwise I would have been in serious trouble!"

Murong Xi said, "You're too kind, we're brothers, aren't we? I heard you're getting married again, but unfortunately my old man forbids me from associating with you, so I can't have a drink at your wedding."

Long Hui gave a bitter smile. Now that he was labeled a rebel, the Murong family certainly wouldn't risk their family's extermination to continue associating with him. Murong Xi's willingness to help was purely out of friendship.

"Third Young Master, I understand your predicament,"

Long Hui sighed. "You've already taken a great risk by stepping forward to help today, and I'm deeply grateful for your kindness."

Murong Xi said, "What are you saying? It's the old man's business if he doesn't want to help you, but Sixth Sister and I wholeheartedly support you. If you ever need my help, Third Young Master Murong, just ask. Even if the old man kicks me out of the family, I'll live and die with you!"

Long Hui felt a surge of warmth in his heart and punched Murong Xi lightly. Murong Xi returned the punch to his chest, their feelings unspoken.

Just then, a maid rushed in and reported, "Master, many scholars have surrounded our house. They're trying to break in. Madam has asked me to come out through the back door and find you to come back and take charge."

Long Hui's expression changed, and he said in a deep voice, "Outrageous! These poor scoundrels are courting death!"

Murong Xi was also shocked and said, "Brother Long, hurry home and see! I'll go back with you." Long Hui rushed back anxiously, but before he even reached the Long residence, he was hit by a pungent stench.

Long Hui looked up and saw that the Long residence gate was tightly shut, and three to five hundred scholars were gathered outside. They were only shouting outside and did not rush into the house, but the once festive entrance was now a mess, with latrines, rotten vegetables, eggs, and all sorts of filth scattered about.

"Witch, get out here!"

The scholars were filled with righteous indignation, their eyes bloodshot and their cheeks taut, as if their father's killer lived inside. They kept throwing stones and banging on the door.

Someone shouted again, "Filth is used to ward off evil! Quickly bring another cart of latrines to force that witch out of her true form!"

Long Hui suddenly realized that these filthy things were used to "ward off evil." Seeing this, he trembled with rage.

"How dare they humiliate Bing'er like this! These poor bastards are practically asking for death!" Long Hui clenched his fist, his inner energy surging like a raging torrent, ready to unleash a massacre. Just then, a slender white hand pulled him back: "Brother, don't be impulsive!"

Wei Xuexin said anxiously, "Brother, my sister sent me out to find you. Please come inside with me first." Long Hui sighed and followed Xuexin into the house through the back door. He felt incredibly aggrieved; he couldn't even use the main entrance of his own residence, it was like being a thief.

Entering the inner hall, he saw all the women gathered together. Bai Lingyu's eyebrows furrowed, she rolled up her sleeves and gritted her teeth, "These stinking scholars are really going too far! Let me go out and deal with them!"

Having been smeared with filth all over her house, how could Bai Lingyu, with her fiery temper, tolerate this, especially before her wedding? Enraged, she was about to grab her gun and go out to kill these ignorant bookworms.

Chu Wanbing hurriedly stopped her, saying, "Sister Bai, please calm down. If you kill them, it's the same as pushing the scholars of Jiangnan towards Cang Shitian."

Bai Lingyu stamped her foot and said, "Are we just going to let them defecate and urinate in front of our house?!"

At this moment, the sound of the demoness rolling out came from outside again. Chu Wanbing's face turned pale again, her delicate body trembled, and she bit her lip and said, "It's all because of me. I'd better leave for a while."

Bai Lingyu pulled her and said decisively, "Where are you going? This is your home. Why should you leave? I'll go out and teach those bastards a lesson!"

Lianyi also said, "Bing'er, this has nothing to do with you. We can't just pack up and leave because of what others say."

Qin Suya said softly, "Bing'er, Lianyi, this is your home. Whatever happens, the family should face it together. If you leave alone, wouldn't that be unfair to us sisters?"

Chu Wanbing and Lianyi's eyes reddened, and their hearts were filled with warmth.

"That's right, Bing'er, you didn't do anything wrong, why should you avoid them!"

Long Hui said, enunciating each word clearly.

Bai Lingyu said, "Long Hui, you're back just in time. Sister Bing has been forbidding me from going out. If you're a man, come with me and teach those stinking scholars a lesson!"

Long Hui nodded and said, "If they dare to cause trouble at my door, they'll lose an arm even if they don't die!"

Chu Wanbing hugged Long Hui tightly, her phoenix eyes filled with tears, and said, "Little thief, I'm begging you, please don't be impulsive..."

This little girl was usually proud and arrogant, and she was not one to suffer a loss. Today, she was willing to endure humiliation for her husband, and she didn't utter a single word of insult from outsiders. Long Hui's heart clenched, and his nose stung. He reached out and hugged her tightly, and said softly, "Bing'er, don't cry. Your husband will definitely stand up for you!"

Yesterday, he had just promised Sister Luo that he would protect them forever. Today, a group of scholars came to the door and insulted Bing'er. If he did nothing, even if they didn't care, he would feel ashamed.

"You poor wretch, you can tolerate my insults and curses, but you can't belittle my woman!"

Long Hui raised an eyebrow, pushed aside Little Phoenix, and turned to walk towards the gate. Just then, the noise outside gradually subsided. Everyone was puzzled. Murong Xi said, "I'll go take a look."

With that, he used his lightness skill to leap onto a large tree and observe the situation outside. What he saw almost made him fall off the tree.

Long Hui asked, "Third Young Master, what's going on outside?"

Murong Xi shuddered, suppressing his nausea, and jumped down from the tree. He gasped for breath and said, "Brother Long, I... I really can't hold it in anymore!"

He clutched his stomach and turned his head to vomit.

Bai Lingyu, full of suspicion, also jumped up to see what was going on, his face also showing disgust.

The commotion ceased completely, save for the smacking sounds of chewing. Long Hui, utterly bewildered, leaped onto the roof, only to witness an unbelievable scene: the scholars had quieted down, no longer throwing stones or eggs at the Long residence, nor dumping excrement or urine, but instead staging a spectacular display of starving dogs scrambling for excrement!

Chapter Sixteen: Reversing Fortune

"Haha, dogs eat shit, dogs eat shit!"

A round-faced girl clapped and laughed from a nearby teahouse. Beside her sat a beautiful woman in a green robe—it was Lu Mingluan and Xiao Xiao.

Lu Mingluan glanced at Long Hui, her lips curving into a slight smile.

"Little thief!"

A fragrant breeze wafted by, and Chu Wanbing leaped onto the roof, asking, "What happened?"

When Long Hui looked up again, Lu Mingluan and Xiao Xiao had vanished without a trace, and he hadn't seen Bing'er.

Long Hui coughed lightly and said, "It's alright, these scholars have already cleaned our gate."

Looking at the group of scholars, Chu Wanbing paled, feeling her insides churning. She covered her mouth and began to gag. Long Hui quickly carried her downstairs, gently patting her back.

After a while, Chu Wanbing's nausea subsided, her face flushed and she gasped for breath, complaining, "It's so disgusting..." Bai Lingyu, having witnessed the carnage, quickly recovered her composure and supported her, saying, "Sister Wanbing, no matter what, we've at least vented our anger."

Chu Wanbing took a deep breath and said to the other women, "You mustn't go out, it's disgusting outside!" After leading the scholars away in a daze, Long Hui ordered the outside to be cleaned up. Then he stayed home with Bing'er and the others. Seeing that Little Phoenix and Little Peacock were worried, he concealed the events outside the city from them to avoid further concern.

When it was time to eat, Little Phoenix was still haunted by the scene from earlier, closing her eyes at the sight of the food.

Murong Xi also stayed for the meal, but he too had little appetite, only eating a few token bites.

Long Hui hadn't even had a chance to eat a few bites when another military report arrived. He put down his chopsticks and rushed to the military camp, Murong Xi following closely behind.

Upon reaching the commander's tent, Wang Dong anxiously reported, "General, the bookworms outside haven't left; in fact, many more have arrived, now numbering about 20,000."

20,000—almost all the scholars from the counties of Jiangnan had come. Long Hui frowned and asked, "Are the city gates secure?"

Wang Dong replied, "The city gates are fine, but what should we do with these scholars?"

While sealing the city and locking the gates could keep the scholars out, prolonged closure would only disrupt the lives of the people within the city. Before Cang Shitian's army even arrived, Jinling would already be severely weakened.

Feng Wangchen said, "Locking down the city during wartime wouldn't be a problem, but now that there's no war and the gates are tightly shut, it will definitely affect the work and rest of the people of Jinling in the long run."

Long Hui sighed and said, "Let's go check the situation on the city wall first!"

He led everyone to the top of the wall, where they saw a dense crowd of people standing on the other side of the moat, a continuous, overwhelming mass of heads. Long Hui couldn't help but laugh at himself, "The ambition of scholars is truly immeasurable; their numbers are almost equal to our army." Wang Dong snorted, "What use are these stinking scholars? If a real fight breaks out, we only need a thousand brothers to wipe them all out!"

Long Hui said, "Wang Dong, if I really let you do it, can you even lift a butcher's knife?"

Wang Dong hesitated slightly. Although he was a ruthless killer, those he killed were either from other races or powerful figures. He truly couldn't bring himself to kill these weak scholars. After pondering for a long time, he sighed and remained silent.

The scholars below gathered together, shouting loudly, "Destroy the demoness! Restore our peace!"

"That woman surnamed Long colludes with demons and disrupts our court; her crime deserves death!"

"Kill Long Hui! Eliminate the demons! Avenge the late emperor!"

"Long Hui, the late emperor favored you, yet you repay kindness with enmity! You beast, worse than a pig or a dog!"

Liang Ming's face flushed with rage. He immediately drew his bow and arrow, ready to shoot several leading scholars, but Long Hui stopped him. "Liang Ming, don't do it! Let them go!"

Liang Ming said, "General, their insults to you are an insult to all our brothers!"

Long Hui slowly closed his eyes and said calmly, "Listen up, everyone! No one may act without my orders. Violators will be punished according to military law!"

Liang Ming stamped his foot and sighed, angrily throwing down his bow and arrow. He turned to Feng Wangchen for help, "Mr. Feng, you usually have the most strategies. Quickly think of a way to help our general!"

Feng Wangchen closed his eyes and pondered, racking his brains for a good plan. However, Cang Shitian's vicious plan seemed simple, but it hit their weakness—after all, they were nominally rebels, and Cang Shitian had studied Confucianism. It would be effortless for him to instigate these scholars.

Murong Xi said, "Brother Long, why don't we send soldiers to drive them away?"

Long Hui shook his head and said, "No, the henchmen of the Haotian Sect must be lurking among the crowd. As long as my brothers come into contact with these scholars, they will take the opportunity to fan the flames and further intensify the conflict between the two sides. At that time, the situation will become even more uncontrollable."

As long as the soldiers leave the city, they will inevitably come into physical contact with the scholars. The people of the Haotian Sect can easily use underhanded means to kill a few scholars or a few soldiers. Once this spark is ignited, it will be impossible to control, and bloodshed will occur at any time.

Feng Wangchen said, "Hearing what you say, Dragon Lord, I've come to realize that Cang Shitian's intention is actually to drive these scholars into the city, and then have their people lead a riot. These bookworms are already blinded by rage. As long as someone takes the lead, they're capable of anything—looting, arson, and vandalism. At that time, it will be difficult for the entire Jinling City not to be in chaos!"

Long Hui said, "The best way now is to stay inside and let them continue to cause trouble outside."

Wang Dong said, "Those poisonous smokes last time were quite potent. Why don't we release another batch? I don't believe they won't leave."

Long Hui sighed, "The preparation of that poisonous smoke is not simple. We won't be able to use it for a while."

Just when everyone was at a loss, purple clouds suddenly surged in the sky, followed by a deafeningly threatening voice: "Everyone, stop!"

A handsome figure appeared in the air, descending to the mortal world with righteous aura. It was none other than Zong Yixiao, the long-absent master of Canghai Pavilion.

Shouts erupted from the crowd: "He's a traitor to the Confucian school! Zong Yixiao, that rebel! Everyone, seize him!"

The scholars charged forward furiously, but Zong Yixiao roared, "Insolence!"

His powerful inner energy surged forth, sending the scholars sprawling and unable to advance.

Zong Yixiao sneered, "To be incited by a few words and rush forward blindly is a disgrace to Confucianism!"

One scholar angrily cried, "Zong Yixiao, you have committed regicide and colluded with evil spirits! You are the true disgrace to Confucianism!"

Zong Yixiao flicked his sleeve, disdainfully replying, "Blindly following the crowd, utterly ignorant!"

At that moment, two figures swiftly passed by, standing beside Zong Yixiao—it was Mencius and Confucius.

Mencius shouted, "Who says we are traitors and rebels? Look at this!"

He gripped something tightly in his right hand, raised it high, and instantly, a brilliant light shone down, illuminating the ground. A solemn aura emanated from it, and a powerful righteous energy poured forth.

Within the purple radiance, the shape of a brush was faintly visible, its tip as sharp as a sword—it was the sacred relic of Confucianism—the Brush of the Wild God! Confucius raised his voice and shouted, "Relic of the Wild God, sacred brush of the Ancestral Master, who dares to be so presumptuous!" The

relic of the Confucian sage reappeared in the world. Although the scholars had never seen the true form of the Brush of the Wild God, they felt an invisible, awe-inspiring aura pressing down upon them. Their hearts pounded violently, a sense of reverence arose, and their knees buckled as they knelt on the ground.

Someone protested, "You stole the ancestral master's sacred object; your crime is compounded!"

Mencius replied, "You are also a disciple of Confucianism. You should know that this Divine Brush is a relic of the ancestral master, formed from the righteous energy of heaven and earth. How could someone with an impure heart wield it!"

"How can legends be taken as truth!"

Another voice rang out. Zong Yixiao frowned, already guessing seven or eight parts of the truth—these voices must be the henchmen of the Haotian Sect.

Confucius raised his voice, "I, Kong Zhongni, am the son of Kong Xiu. I would rather die than dishonor my late father's integrity. Today, I will prove my innocence with my own blood!" Confucius

then drew his fingers into a knife and slashed his wrist, blood flowing profusely. Mencius, seeing this, also used his internal energy to force out blood.

The Confucian scholar's blood flowed freely, and Zong Yixiao immediately took the Wild God's Brush, using blood as ink. With a flourish, he drew characters in mid-air, the blood congealing and not dispersing, forming powerful, crimson characters that, when combined, became a stirring proclamation against the traitors: "The wise ruler, seeking to mitigate danger, secretly entered perilous territory to summon the Heavenly Emperor. Alas, Heaven's mandate has its end, and Mount Tai collapsed in injustice. Cang Shitian, also known as the Evil God, whose great-grandfather was a disciple of the Demon Realm, along with Ao Xin, became a monstrous figure, defying Heaven to establish an evil cult, like a gluttonous beast running rampant, harming and oppressing the people; however, evil cannot prevail over good. The evil followers were defeated by the sage Zhu Xu, and the Demonic Sect collapsed. The Cang clan secretly absorbed the remnants of the evil followers and re-established the evil cult, calling it the Heavenly Emperor. Shitian's ambitions did not stop there, wreaking havoc on the martial world and leaving a legacy of calamity upon the land. To ascend the throne, he led the traitors into the pass, his army invading all directions, causing the people to flee and suffer. The world was in chaos, and he colluded with barbarian chieftains, raising..." "Death warriors, slaughtering the elderly; offering wives to the palace, engaging in debauchery, framing Consort Shu; assassinating King Xia, replacing one to another, seizing the throne, becoming arrogant and domineering, committing heinous acts, distorting right and wrong, exploiting loyal officials, and harming the virtuous. The Long clan, a cult of demons, widely bestows benevolence, a great virtue and sage, the conduct of a saint since ancient times; raising an army of righteous men, seeking to avenge the emperor's hatred, displaying martial prowess, and upholding the state, their loyalty and courage are evident in their extraordinary achievements. This is proclaimed to the world, hoping that righteous men of discernment will join in their attack!"

In just a few lines, the evil deeds of Cang Shitian are revealed, and Long Hui is portrayed as a great sage, a man of great virtue and courage. One cannot help but admire Zong Yixiao's literary talent. But just as he finished writing, the heavens shone with holy light, wisps of purple aura surged through the clouds, and the full moon was also painted with brilliant purple light, beautiful yet imposing, a masculine and righteous aura arose spontaneously.

A colossal figure appeared in the sky, his sword-like eyebrows radiating unwavering resolve and righteous spirit, his piercing eyes as bright as the rising sun, and his refined demeanor exuding a scholarly air amidst his virtuous bearing. This was clearly the Confucian patriarch depicted in the portrait.

Upon seeing the patriarch appear, the scholars dared not disrespect him, prostrating themselves on the ground in reverence. Mencius said, "If we were treacherous officials and rebels, how could we possibly invoke the spirit of our patriarch with our blood? Don't you understand?"

Indeed, a legend circulated within Confucianism: the Divine Brush, combined with righteous blood and a devout heart, could summon a wisp of the patriarch's spirit left on earth. And indeed, tonight, this inexplicable miracle had occurred.

Making the legend a reality was more effective than any words; the scholars knelt and prayed, their demeanor as obedient as could be.

Long Hui watched in amazement, but was also incredibly grateful. He thought to himself, "With the spiritual assistance of the Confucian patriarch, I believe these bookworms won't try anything funny anymore, and it can even vindicate us to some extent!" Seeing this miracle and reading the proclamation against the traitors, the scholars were naturally deeply moved. Their initial indignation towards Long Hui and his group had turned into suspicion; their scholarly fervor had dissipated, and Cang Shitian's scheme had failed.

Long Hui invited Zong Yixiao and the others into the city, thanking them, "This time, we owe a great debt to Pavilion Master Zong and Brothers Kong and Meng. Otherwise, I would truly be helpless."

Zong Yixiao said, "General, you're too kind. We're already in the same boat; your business is our business. Besides, without your help, we wouldn't have been able to steal the Desolate God Brush."

Long Hui asked, "The sacred object has been stolen, so what's the news about Jin Ziyi and the others?"

Zong Yixiao smiled and said, "Before we escaped, we deliberately left a letter at the Haoqi Platform, which infuriated Jin Ziyi. She's already issued thirty-six arrest warrants, and soon the news of the stolen Desolate God Brush will spread throughout the land. Those scholars were still suspicious of what I had, but if they see the arrest warrant from the Confucian Sect headquarters, they'll definitely believe it. Jin Ziyi's arrest warrant has done us a small favor."

Long Hui smiled and said, "Zong..." "Master, your methods are excellent. You even managed to use Jin Ziyi in the end."

Zong Yixiao laughed, "This plan was not my doing, but Ziyu's."

At this moment, Feng Wangchen asked, "Please forgive my impertinence, but what if the Desolate Divine Brush had failed to produce its miracle?"

Zong Yixiao smiled and said, "That's a good question, sir. It's clear you're a cautious person. I had already invited Daoist Jingchen to assist us in secret. If we couldn't invoke the Ancestral Master's spiritual consciousness, then that White-Haired Daoist would use magic to deceive us, but the prerequisite is that the Desolate Divine Brush must be genuine."

Feng Wangchen praised, "Master, your backup plan is also ingenious, half real and half fake, making it difficult to distinguish between them."

Mentioning Jingchen, Long Hui couldn't help but admire... Qi Di asked, "Sect Master Zong, may I ask where Daoist Jingchen is now?"

Zong Yixiao replied, "I don't know where that White-haired Daoist went either. That Taoist priest is sometimes hard to fathom." Long Hui smiled and stopped dwelling on the matter, changing the subject: "Sect Master Zong, after your rampage at the Confucian headquarters, Jin Ziyi probably won't let it go easily. I wonder if the disciples of Canghai Pavilion are safe?"

At this moment, Meng Ke interjected, "Brother Long, please rest assured, our disciples have safely evacuated by sea and should arrive in Jinling next year."

Long Hui said, "The sea route is turbulent and the winds and waves are unpredictable. How about I send a few dragons to meet your disciples? With their escort, the journey can be shortened."

Kong Qiu said, "General, your kindness is appreciated. " "I understand. Jinling's strength shouldn't grow too quickly right now, otherwise it might provoke a fierce reaction from Qiu Baifei. It would be better to let our disciples rest at sea for a while, and then appear in Jinling when the time is right."

Meng Ke said, "Zhongni is quite right. I also think that the Canghai Pavilion disciples remaining hidden will make Jin Ziyi and the others suspicious and hesitant to exert their full strength."

Long Hui nodded in agreement, "What you two say is very true. Since our strength is weak, it's better to hide our shortcomings than to make a fool of ourselves."

After finishing some final instructions, Long Hui could finally breathe a sigh of relief and go home to be with his beloved wife. Halfway there, he heard a familiar voice: "Long Hui."

Turning around, he saw Lu Mingluan standing gracefully by the roadside, smiling sweetly at him.

Long Hui smiled and was about to walk over when suddenly a fragrant breeze wafted towards him, and a plump, beautiful body suddenly bumped into him, his chest feeling somewhat constricted by the two firm, full breasts.

"Meat Eggplant, where have you been these past few days? Sister's been busy, and Master's not around. I wanted to play with you, but I couldn't find you!"

Xiao Xiao pouted, her lips slightly trembling with grievance.

Long Hui ruffled her hair and chuckled, "Xiao Xiao, be good. Brother's been busy. We'll play together later, okay?"

Xiao Xiao giggled, "Then I want you to play the bride game with me."

Long Hui's eyes widened, somewhat exasperated, "Xiao Xiao, how do you play this game?"

Xiao Xiao tilted her head, thinking for a moment, then said sweetly, "I don't know yet. I need to see if it's fun for Sister to be the bride. If it is, we'll play; if not, we'll think of another game."

Lu Mingluan frowned and murmured, "Xiao Xiao, come back!"

Xiao Xiao gave an "okay" and obediently ran back to her master's side.

Lu Mingluan pointed to the small noodle shop next door, indicating that they should go inside first. Once inside the temple, Xiaoxiao tugged at her master's sleeve and said coquettishly, "I want to eat braised beef noodles!"

Lu Mingluan snapped her fingers and said to the shopkeeper, "Give me ten bowls of braised beef noodles first, and add a soy sauce chicken leg to each bowl."

The shopkeeper was a little surprised that three people wanted ten bowls of noodles, but how could he refuse a customer who had come to him? He turned around and went to cook the noodles.

Long Hui coughed lightly and said, "Mingluan, I've already eaten at the military camp, you don't need so much."

Lu Mingluan rolled her eyes at him and laughed, "Don't flatter yourself, who said the noodles were for you?"

Long Hui chuckled and said, "Mingluan, even if you haven't eaten, you don't need to eat this much, you'll get fat, that's not good."

Lu Mingluan's pretty face flushed red, and she scolded, "If you dare to talk nonsense again, I'll cut off your tongue and give it to Xiaoxiao to make noodles."

Xiaoxiao said, "Master, I don't want to eat his tongue, it's covered in his saliva, it must not taste good. But that eggplant is so fat and big, it would taste good fried, and there are two eggs too, it would be even better if it were stewed." Lu Mingluan chuckled and touched her disciple's little face, saying: "Good girl, you're truly your master's precious treasure. I'll make you braised eggplant and steamed egg drop soup sometime in the future."

Long Hui couldn't help but shiver, instinctively crossing his legs and coughing awkwardly a few times before changing the subject, "Mingluan, I really owe you a debt of gratitude today. I thank you on behalf of Bing'er and Lianyi."

Lu Mingluan said, "These scholars are so annoying. I only disciplined them because I remembered what happened back then. At most, I helped Lianyi a little. I couldn't be bothered with that spoiled little phoenix!"

Long Hui hummed a few times and said, "Mingluan, you stopped me on the way so late. You must have something important to tell me!"

Lu Mingluan glared at him, as if to say, "Can't I come to you if there's nothing wrong?"

"I came to ask about your future plans,"

Lu Mingluan said calmly.

Long Hui then said, "Hold fast to Jinling and advance steadily."

Lu Mingluan frowned and said, "Being weaker in strength, it's good to advance gradually, but I'm worried that Cang Shitian won't give you that opportunity."

Long Hui asked, "You mean that so-called army to quell the rebellion?"

Lu Mingluan sighed, "That's right. Even if you hold the city and recuperate now, Linghai County is located in the eastern harbor and can't provide much protection. In the end, Jinling is still an isolated city. If war really breaks out, you'll have to face the enemy's army directly. No matter how well the city is managed, it will still be ravaged by war."

Long Hui understood and said, "Mingluan, do you mean to set up an outer defense line for Jinling?"

Lu Mingluan nodded.

Long Hui said, "But we don't have enough troops. Even if we capture it, we might not be able to hold it."

Lu Mingluan smiled and said, "Once you marry Cui Die, it will be equivalent to an alliance with the Cui family. They will definitely provide full support to Jinling."

Long Hui suddenly slapped his thigh and laughed, "How come I didn't think of that?"

Although he was allied with the Cui family before, he was still an outsider and held back to some extent. But once Cui Die married into the family, the situation would be different. With the Cui family's power in Liaodong, it wouldn't be difficult to recruit 20,000 to 30,000 strong men.

Lu Mingluan frowned again and said, "The problem of troop strength can be solved after your wedding, but how to quickly seize the city and create a strategic buffer zone for Jinling is another problem."

As she spoke, she dipped her jade finger in tea and drew a simple map of Jiangnan on the table.

"Long Hui, Qiu Baifei intends to trap you in a strategic encirclement. Once the encirclement is complete, you will be at a disadvantage," Lu Mingluan said, pointing to several cities near Jinling. "To the west of Jinling are Shucheng and Feiliu, to the south are Jishou, Yanling, and Yuchuan, and to the north is Cangcheng. Among these cities, Shucheng, Feiliu, and Yuchuan are connected by waterways. If we can capture them, we can connect with Jinling by water, making Qiu Baifei's encirclement seem ineffective. A direct assault is not feasible, and continuing the siege will be ineffective."

Long Hui said, "Although these three cities are connected by waterways, the waterways are still three to five miles away from the cities. Taking them will take a long time." "We'll have to rely on real battles on land. The problem is that these three cities are all under the protection of other military camps. If we move one, the whole situation will be affected. If we're not careful, we could easily get into a stalemate and waste our troops."

Lu Mingluan laughed, "I'm just giving you a general direction. How you fight is your business."

At this moment, the shopkeeper brought out a bowl of hot soup noodles. Xiaoxiao's eyes lit up. Ignoring the scalding heat, she picked up her chopsticks and started eating. She devoured five bowls of noodles in a flash, her mouth full of oil. The noodle shop owner was as if he had seen a ghost. In his more than ten years of cooking noodles, he had never seen such a big eater, especially a delicate little girl.

Long Hui felt a chill run down his spine, thinking to himself, "After seeing what those scholars did, Bing'er has no appetite at all. This girl can actually eat so much, and even enjoy it."

Thinking this, Long Hui suddenly asked, "Xiao Xiao, do you remember those scholars from earlier?"

Xiao Xiao, holding a chicken leg and chewing on noodles and beef, mumbled, "Those shit-eating dogs? I remember..."

Long Hui immediately gave a wicked smile, chuckling, "If what you have in your bowl right now is that yellow, smelly stuff those scholars were chewing today... hehe, could you still eat it?"

Hearing this, Xiao Xiao immediately recalled the scene from earlier that day. She could eat so well because she could quickly forget many things. Now, hearing Long Hui mention it, her face darkened, and she felt her stomach churning. She couldn't hold back any longer.

She opened her cherry lips and suddenly spat out what was in her mouth, hitting Long Hui squarely in the face.

Lu Mingluan burst into laughter, "You reap what you sow! Who told you to tease Xiaoxiao? You deserve it!"

Xiaoxiao, having lost her appetite, cried out in anger, "Master, I don't want to eat noodles anymore!"

Lu Mingluan quickly pulled out a handkerchief to wipe her mouth, saying affectionately, "Alright, we won't eat noodles."

Long Hui said somewhat aggrievedly, "Mingluan, my face is covered in noodles, aren't you going to wipe it off for me?"

Lu Mingluan glared at him, seemingly unintentionally... He glanced at her crotch and chuckled, "Xiaoxiao, you don't want noodles anymore? Master will make you braised eggplant and two steamed eggs with egg white."

Xiaoxiao nodded in agreement. Long Hui shivered and hurriedly said, "No need to be polite, I'll go home first."

Lu Mingluan grabbed him and laughed, "Master Long, you seem to have forgotten to pay."

Without thinking, Long Hui tossed down a coin and turned to leave, thinking that this vixen was definitely going to take revenge, and he would stay as far away as possible.

The area in front of the Long residence had been cleaned, and Long Hui's mood improved somewhat. Before entering the house, he wiped the noodles off his face.

After entering, he saw that the women were still frowning. He then told them about the matter of the Desolate Divine Brush, which finally elicited a chorus of sweet voices and smiling faces.

Long Hui asked, "Little Yu'er, do you have a way to quickly take Shucheng, Feiliu, and Yuchuan?" Bai Lingyu thought for a moment and said, "In a vast area, with the strength of the Azure Dragon and Qilin armies' cavalry, we can launch a surprise attack. However, the terrain in Jiangnan is complex, making it difficult for cavalry to utilize their agility."

Chu Wanbing asked, "Little thief, do you want to take these cities?"

Long Hui said, "That's right! I've thought about it. Although Jinling has high walls and thick defenses, it's still somewhat weak. It would be better to set up several defensive lines on the periphery, giving Jinling a strategic buffer zone."

Bai Lingyu, familiar with military affairs, said worriedly, "These cities are all important pieces for Qiu Baifei. If we send troops easily, it's very likely to provoke a strong reaction from him. So, either we don't attack, or we attack quickly, so quickly that he doesn't have time to react. By the time he realizes what's happening, the cities will already be ours." "In our hands. But the terrain of Jiangnan limits the speed of the cavalry, and given the lesson of the fall of Jinling, Qiu Baifei is already wary, so it will be difficult for us to launch another surprise attack."

Long Hui said, "If we can't quickly take these three cities, the battle will drag on to a stalemate, wasting our troops. So Xiao Yu'er is right, either we don't fight, or we fight quickly, leaving the enemy no chance to react."

Cui Die smiled and clapped her hands, saying, "Good brother, have you forgotten about your dragon troops?"

Long Hui said, "Although dragons can roam freely on waterways, we still need land troops to attack and capture camps."

Cui Die giggled and whispered a few words in his ear, her breath as fragrant as orchids. Long Hui's brows immediately relaxed, and he was overjoyed. He couldn't help but hug Cui Die and kiss her several times, making the young woman pant softly, her snow-white face flushed, her rosy skin contrasting with her crimson dress, making her even more beautiful.

Wei Xuexin suddenly said, "Brother, I think this scholar incident is probably not over yet."

Long Hui asked, "Xuexin, what do you think is wrong?"

Wei Xuexin replied, "Cang Shitian must have planted his men around these scholars, and there's a high probability that the Haotian Sect still has influence in Jinling. If we can't root them out soon, the future conflict will become more unpredictable."

Chu Wanbing nodded, "Xuexin is right. Before the enemy's main force arrives, we need to clear our rear to avoid the risk of a fire."

Wei Xuexin casually picked up the Years... Jian said, "Brother, I noticed a few suspicious people when those scholars came to cause trouble today. Let's take advantage of tonight to wipe out the Haotian Sect's stronghold in the city."

Long Hui said, "I'll go with you."

Chu Wanbing giggled, "No need, Master, you've been busy all day, you should rest. And the other sisters' weddings are approaching, it's not advisable to act rashly. Let Xuexin and I handle this."

Having been humiliated today, Little Phoenix had been holding back her anger for a long time, and now that she had a chance to vent, how could she let it go?

The sisters walked hand in hand at night, the moonlight illuminating two beautiful figures, one alluring and charming, the other elegant and refined.

Wei Xuexin used her sword heart to probe the path, locking onto the Haotian Sect's elusive trail.

Wei Xuexin said, "Sister, when the scholar caused trouble today, I sensed someone was watching from the shadows. I didn't make a sound at the time, but I used my sword heart to lock onto his aura. As long as he is still in Jinling City, he can't escape my senses."

Chu Wanbing nodded and praised, "Xuexin, your sword heart is truly amazing. With your help, I've saved myself a lot of trouble."

The two women turned left and right and came to a towering tower with three large characters written on the plaque above the door: "Qingyun Tower".

Chu Wanbing was taken aback: "This is the Qingyun Pagoda... but it was a pagoda built by a great sage monk in the past, containing thousands of scriptures, a place of purity and solemnity. How could it have become a place of filth and depravity?"

Wei Xuexin said: "I don't know either, but I can sense an evil aura inside."

Chu Wanbing pondered for a moment, then frowned and said: "Xuexin, the fake Weituo was originally a guest of the King of Qi, but suddenly sided with the King of Xia. Could it be related to him?"

Wei Xuexin said: "Hearing what you say, sister, I also think that the fake Buddha's whereabouts are suspicious. He doesn't seem to be deceived by appearances like Jin Ziyi and Yin Fangxi, but rather he already knows the truth."

Chu Wanbing snorted: "Buddhist scum, a scourge even more harmful than demons. Let's go into the pagoda and investigate."

Inside the pagoda, besides the solemn golden statue, there were precious scriptures, or monks on night watch.

Chu Wanbing felt somewhat discouraged, but she still had absolute confidence in her sister's swordsmanship, so she patiently continued her search.

Suddenly, the pressure inside the tower dropped sharply. Wei Xuexin's beautiful face darkened, and she exclaimed in surprise, "Oh no, we've fallen into a trap!"

Chu Wanbing's eyes turned cold as she warily surveyed her surroundings.

"Hmph, deliberately leaving an opening, thinking it would lure that brat surnamed Long, but who knew it would be you two little brats!"

With a sharp shout, a powerful aura rushed towards them. The two beauties' jade-like faces darkened, and they simultaneously drew their swords, their combined swords slicing through the unparalleled airflow.

In their first exchange, the two already sensed their opponent's solid foundation and profound inner strength, and a sense of pressure arose within them.

In the darkness, a graceful and charming figure appeared, her skin as white as snow, her eyebrows like distant mountains, and her lips as red as cinnabar—it was none other than the Holy Mother Haotian.

Chu Wan raised an icy brow and snorted, "You vicious woman, you've got some nerve coming to Jinling!" The Holy Mother Haotian chuckled, "I'm originally from Jinling in Jiangnan. What's wrong with me going back to my hometown to explore?"

Wei Xuexin's heart skipped a beat, an ominous feeling instantly washing over her. She immediately warned, "Sister, let's go! Something's fishy here!"

The Holy Mother Haotian sneered, "Now that you're here, do you think you can just run away?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the surrounding walls shone brightly, and strange Buddhist scriptures appeared out of thin air. The two women felt their auras freeze, their inner strength reduced to only a third.

Chu Wanbing inwardly cried out in alarm: "This poisonous woman is targeting the petty thief; she must have made thorough preparations. This must be some kind of formation that suppresses power."

The Holy Mother Haotian sneered: "This formation is a fusion of the essence of Haotian Sect and Buddhist formations. Even a master of the Innate Realm would be seven-tenths weaker than you two little girls, left to be slaughtered!"

Wei Xuexin bit her lip and gathered her qi, slashing down with the Sword of Time from afar, its sharp edge aimed directly at the Holy Mother Haotian. Unexpectedly,

the sword light was dispersed by a burst of Buddhist energy before it reached halfway. A nun in black robes strode in, followed closely by the three Venerables of Void, Earth, and Wind.

The nun had arched eyebrows, starry eyes, and peach-blossom cheeks; her skin was like jade. She held a gold-painted jade whisk. Her robes appeared simple, but were actually made of the finest black silk, exuding a noble air amidst their simplicity.

Chu Wan sneered, "People say monks are detached from worldly desires, yet you, a nun, are dressed so grandly. This outfit must be incredibly expensive!"

The nun replied calmly, "Ignorant youth, as the saying goes, all forms of Dharma are but illusions; nobility and baseness are but a thought away. Why be attached to them?"

Wei Xuexin said, "Since you possess such profound Buddhist teachings, why can't you see through the illusions of this mortal world, aiding and abetting evil, and associating with these wicked people?"

The nun said, "Little girl, you possess sword qi and have even cultivated a sword heart. Then why do you call this demoness your sister?"

Wei Xuexin raised her head and stared at her, saying each word clearly, "I am connected to her by blood; we will live and die together!"
