[Wuxia] Long Hui's Male Concubine (Complete) - 7

Chapter Sixteen: Casting the Net to Catch Evil.

Wei Xuexin pondered for a moment, then felt her cheeks burning. Afraid that Long Hui would discover her thoughts, she quickly finished her breakfast and casually made an excuse: "Big brother, I need to go talk to Mother about something. Enjoy your meal!"

Long Hui had no idea about the girl's complicated thoughts. Last night, Sister Luo had given her a terrible ordeal, and her stomach was empty. She buried her head and wolfed down her food like a starving ghost.

Bai Lingyu and Yu Wuhen also ate a few bites and were full. Before leaving their seats, Bai Lingyu specifically reminded Long Hui not to forget to go to the palace tonight.

After filling their stomachs, it was time to catch up on sleep. Last night, that vixen had left them weak all over. If it weren't for their strong constitution, they probably wouldn't have been able to get out of bed. Now, of course, they needed to seize the time to rest.

As soon as they returned to their room, they saw a beautiful woman in green looking up expectantly, her eyes full of affection, her cheeks flushed with spring, and her lips glistening with dew, like a lonely young woman waiting for her lover.

Long Hui was both amazed and exasperated. Why did these two sisters always like to hide in other people's houses? Luckily, his senior sister had left early, otherwise his residence would have been torn down by this pair of phoenixes.

As soon as Long Hui entered, Lu Mingluan went straight to the point: "Yu Hua is dead."

Long Hui trembled slightly and asked, "She... how did she die?"

Lu Mingluan sighed, "She was killed by the Haotian Sect at midnight last night, but it doesn't matter. I can still use Asura to spy on them."

Long Hui asked, "Mingluan, has the Haotian Sect made any moves?"

Lu Mingluan said, "Last night, Asura was still guarding the waterway. At midnight, a woman came in and sprinkled some powder on Yu Hua. Yu Hua bled from all seven orifices and died. After that, the woman jumped into the pool. As for which waterway she took, I don't know."

Long Hui frowned and said, "The woman who used the poison should be one of the Eight Tribes, Qianta. " "Grandma, the Haotian Sect is indeed plotting to usurp the throne."

Lu Mingluan asked, "How is Huangfu Wuji doing now?"

Long Hui shook his head and said, "Very bad. First, Consort Bai overturned her case, then the Empress committed suicide, and finally Prince Qi rebelled. Moreover, he himself has hidden dangers; his true energy is unbalanced. With these internal and external troubles piling up on him at the same time, I'm afraid the situation is dire."

Lu Mingluan was slightly taken aback and said, "Unbalanced true energy? Could it be that Huangfu Wuji has reached the limit of the acquired realm and is facing a life-or-death crisis?"

Long Hui nodded and said, "That's right."

Suddenly, he stared intently at Lu Mingluan and said nervously, "Mingluan, have you also reached the peak of the acquired realm?" Seeing his concern for her, Lu Mingluan was overjoyed and nodded with a smile.

Long Hui hurriedly pulled her down to sit, pressed three fingers on her smooth, white wrist to check her true energy, but the result did not alarm him. Lu Mingluan smiled and said

, "You don't need to worry. I actually condensed my inner energy a long time ago, so there's no issue with my true energy being chaotic and out of control." Long Hui breathed a sigh of relief and then asked, "Mingluan, since you've already condensed your inner energy, why haven't you broken through to the Innate Realm yet?" A trace of pain flashed in Lu Mingluan's eyes as she sighed, "Back then, I was ambushed by Luo Qingyan. To escape, I used a self-inflicted injury to reverse my true energy, damaging my middle dantian and sea of qi, which hasn't recovered yet. No matter how much I condense my inner energy, once I reach the middle dantian, my true energy stagnates. Therefore, I can never fully unblock my true energy, and thus I'm destined to never reach the Innate Realm." "Yes." Long Hui asked curiously, "What is the reason for this?" Lu Mingluan replied, "To enter the innate realm from the acquired realm, one must first accumulate profound internal strength, and then undergo the tribulation of life and death. Cultivators use this tribulation to cleanse their body and mind, re-refine their complex true qi, and then achieve a unified flow, entering the innate realm. Because I injured my middle dantian, my cultivation was incomplete, and my martial arts were greatly reduced. However, I was unwilling to give up my cultivation, so I took a different approach, skipping the tribulation of life and death to directly condense true qi. I also changed the flow of qi through my meridians so that the true qi did not have to flow through the middle dantian. It can be said that my current true qi is innate true qi, but because my middle dantian was damaged..." "My Qi cannot be fully integrated, so I have remained in this semi-acquired, semi-innate realm." Long Hui frowned and said, "If you can repair the long-standing injury to your middle core, Mingluan, can you then enter the innate realm?" Lu Mingluan smiled and sighed, "That's true, but damage to the meridians and acupoints is not like damage to muscles, bones, or flesh; many injuries are incurable for life." Long Hui casually said, "Meridian damage isn't necessarily incurable. I once had all my meridians ruptured, and I'm still alive and kicking!" Lu Mingluan seemed to see a glimmer of hope and hurriedly asked, "Yes, I remember you were severely injured by Luo Qingyan several times, but..." "Then you acted as if nothing had happened. Do you have some secret?" Long Hui was speechless. He couldn't very well tell Lu Mingluan that it was all the result of dual cultivation. First of all, if he suggested dual cultivation, Lu Mingluan, with her proud and fastidious nature, would most likely see him as a shameless scoundrel. Secondly, even if the two of them practiced dual cultivation, Long Hui didn't dare to say that he could cure Lu Mingluan's dantian and dantian. After all, the meridians were healed because of the help of the Xuan Yin Mei Ti. From beginning to end, Long Hui was the one healing himself. Even when he was intimate with his other wives and concubines, it only made their qi more vigorous and their spirits better. He really wasn't confident about treating Lu Mingluan's old injury to this acupoint. "Although Lianyi was also burned in her meridians and internal organs by the Bright Karmic Fire last time, it was a fresh injury and easier to recover from," Long Hui thought to himself. "Mingluan's illness has lasted for at least ten years. Unlike Bing'er, she doesn't have pure Yin energy. I wonder if she can be cured." Long Hui's Yin-Yang dual cultivation is actually a Yin-Yang cycle. The longer this cycle is maintained, the better the effect. In the whole world, only Long Hui and the two phoenixes can form an effective and lasting Yin-Yang cycle. Although Lu Mingluan is a virgin and has strong power, her Yin energy is probably difficult to sustain. She may be unable to continue the cycle after half of the dual cultivation. In general, this Yin-Yang dual cultivation is also a process of mutual absorption. If Yang is strong and Yin is weak, then the man benefits more. Conversely, if Yin is strong and Yang is weak, then the woman has the greater advantage. Lu Mingluan, quick-witted and perceptive, noticed Long Hui's unspoken difficulty. Her pretty face flushed slightly as she asked, "Is your method of recovery a little embarrassing to talk about?" Long Hui smiled awkwardly and simply stated, "It's actually just dual cultivation between men and women." Lu Mingluan lowered her head, half-closing her starry eyes. A layer of rouge was applied to her neck and ears, making her look delicate and alluring, shy yet charming. Her lips pursed slightly as she uttered two barely audible words: "You bad boy!" A surge of heat slowly rose within him, warming his tender, smooth skin. Seeing the beauty's delicate and shy demeanor again, Long Hui's heart fluttered. He thought to himself that these two phoenix sisters were both exceptionally blessed. The elder sister was alluring and supple, like a ripe peach, its juices sweet and delicious; the younger sister, alluring yet with a touch of naivety, was like a half-ripe, half-green apple, possessing both the mature wisdom accumulated over the years and the shy innocence of a virgin. Long Hui held Lu Mingluan's soft hand and said, "Mingluan, let me take a look at your old injury first." Old injury? Lu Mingluan's face turned as red as a veil. Long Hui realized his mistake; the Zhongdan point was the Tanzhong point, located between the breasts on the chest. Lu Mingluan felt that Long Hui's gaze was like a raging fire. With each glance, her body grew hotter. The scene from Baisha Plain inexplicably surfaced in her mind—this annoying rival had forcibly taken her bodice, leaving her two crystal-clear, full breasts exposed to the cool wind… But every time she woke up in the middle of the night, she felt a burning sensation in her chest, a faint heat and dampness rising within her. "I still have to keep an eye on Asura. I'll come find you if anything happens!" Lu Mingluan ran out without looking back. With the grand ancestral worship ceremony drawing ever closer, the palace was a hive of activity as everyone worked to repair the damage caused by the rebellion of Prince Qi. Palace maids and eunuchs performed their duties, washing away bloodstains and collecting corpses, determined to restore the palace to its former glory in the shortest possible time.

Following Huangfu Wuji's instructions, Long Hui and Bai Lingyu disguised themselves as eunuchs and entered the palace. After confirming there were no spies following them, they turned and sneaked into the Ziwei Palace. Inside

, led by Eunuch Wang, they entered a secret chamber.

The chamber was inlaid with luminous pearls, illuminating it as if it were daytime. Huangfu Wuji sat inside.

Long Hui and Bai Lingyu bowed in turn, but Huangfu Wuji gestured for them to rise, ordering Eunuch Wang to hand them a scroll, saying, "This is intelligence gathered by the court's spies. Take a look!"

This intelligence had actually been meticulously compiled and collected by specialists. After reading it, Long Hui was secretly astonished; the depth of the Haotian Sect's schemes far exceeded ordinary people's imagination.

Thirty years ago, Tie Rushan, the commander of Tiebi Pass, inexplicably fell seriously ill and was forced to resign and return home to recuperate. Shortly after his departure, Tie Lie breached Tiebi Pass. Tie Lie's entry into the pass coincided with the rainy season, a time considered extremely unfavorable for nomadic cavalry. It was believed that the arrival of reinforcements would annihilate Tie Lie's entire army. However, at that very moment, the Chishui River breached its banks, flooding the area and blocking all reinforcements… Long Hui frowned and said, “These coincidences, when linked together, are no longer coincidences. The deeper meaning behind this deserves careful consideration.” Huangfu Wuji said, “Exactly! Although the flood was severe, it only blocked reinforcements from the southeast; it had no impact on the west. But at that very time, the Western Regions rebelled, forcing the Western Regions army to remain and suppress the rebellion, leaving the capital isolated and helpless.”

Long Hui said, “From what Your Majesty has said, there seems to be something behind all these major events over the years…” "The shadow of the Haotian Sect, how does Your Majesty plan to deal with it?"

Huangfu Wuji said, "As early as fifteen years ago, when Consort Su entered the palace, I sensed something was wrong with her, but I couldn't find any evidence until Consort Bai's incident, when her true colors were revealed."

Upon hearing the name Consort Bai, Bai Lingyu's heart skipped a beat, and she asked in a deep voice, "What other hidden details are there about what happened back then? I don't know!"

Huangfu Wuji sighed, "Lingyu, your mother's situation was actually beyond your father's control. Your father admits that he intended to weaken the power of the Bai and Gong families, but he didn't intend to wipe them out completely. Originally, dismissal and confiscation of their property would have sufficed. However, Empress Zhou found a group of people from somewhere, who were ruthless and cruel, and disguised themselves as guards to kill everyone from both families."

Bai Lingyu angrily said, "You are the emperor, can't you stop it?!"

Huangfu Wuji smiled bitterly, "If it were me today, I could definitely..." "To stop it, but fifteen years ago my power was weakened to the extreme by the cabinet, I was basically just a nominal emperor."

Long Hui, afraid that the father and daughter would quarrel again, hurriedly smoothed things over, saying, "Your Majesty, then how do you plan to deal with Consort Su? In fact, she is also the Holy Mother of Haotian."

Huangfu Wuji nodded and said, "Originally, I only suspected her origins, but as soon as the rebel army was quelled, Lingyu, you entrusted the matter to me, and I understood many things. Therefore, I dare to conclude that the day of the ancestral worship will be the day Cang Shitian rebels!"

Bai Lingyu said, "Do you know where Cang Shitian is and who he is now?"

Huangfu Wuji shook his head and said, "I don't know, but Cang Shitian will jump out on his own. According to the royal family rules, any royal family member who is still alive must be carried to the ancestral tomb. If Cang Shitian does not take measures, the Holy Mother of Haotian will definitely be exposed by me on that day, so he will definitely..." "Make your move before I reach the ancestral tomb!"

Long Hui said, "Your Majesty, a few days ago, I inadvertently discovered that the renowned Feixu Restaurant in the capital is a spy for the Haotian Sect!"

Huangfu Wuji's face darkened, and he said, "Oh, is that so?"

Long Hui said, "Indeed, and the restaurant is connected to an underground river, with three channels secretly leading into the palace, their exits being the Imperial Garden pond, the Minglang Palace pond, and the Huadeng Palace well."

Huangfu Wuji slowly closed his eyes, pondered for a moment, and said, "To be able to construct such a massive project and conceal it from my eyes and ears, this person must either be extremely powerful or completely unknown. Eunuch Wang, summon Wuying!"

Eunuch Wang immediately turned around and summoned her. After a moment, a middle-aged woman with a sallow face entered. Her appearance and temperament were extremely ordinary, but only such unremarkable people could carry out some secret missions.

The woman named Wuying bowed and greeted him. Huangfu Wuji said, "Wuying, I order you to find out the mastermind behind Feixu Restaurant within a day!"

Wuying didn't say anything more, accepted the decree with her hands clasped, and then withdrew.

Long Hui knew that this Wuying was most likely the emperor's chief secret agent. Presumably, only such an unassuming spy could gather intelligence effectively. After all, she didn't possess the transformation techniques of Lianyi. However, she had an advantage that Lianyi lacked: power. This woman had the support of the court behind her, and she could mobilize vast manpower and resources to find the information she needed.

"Your Majesty, before I met you, my wife told me that the Gandharvas of the Haotian Sect had secretly infiltrated the palace through the waterway."

Long Hui relayed the information he had learned from Lu Mingluan, but under the name Wei Xuexin. After all, Tianjian Valley was a very powerful place, and it was unexpected that they had discovered things the emperor didn't know.

Huangfu Wuji's expression grew even more serious. He said, "It's rumored that this woman is most skilled in using poison. Could it be that Cang Shitian intends to poison me? This method is rather old-fashioned!"

Long Hui said, "Your Majesty, often the more outdated and old-fashioned the conspiracy, the more effective it is. Your Majesty must be wary!"

Huangfu Wuji gestured to Eunuch Wang, who nodded and said, "This servant will immediately dispatch more food-tasting eunuchs to ensure the safety of Your Majesty's food."

Long Hui waved his hand and said, "Your Majesty, I have a word to say. I'm afraid even relying solely on food-tasting eunuchs cannot guarantee Your Majesty's safety. These poison-mixing masters can use all sorts of catalysts to activate the toxicity. These catalysts are incredibly diverse; they could be floral scents, dust... even the fabric of clothing, which are extremely ordinary things, could be catalysts. This Gandharva is most skilled at mixing poisons to harm people." (Advertisement break: Still relying on your hands? How can that be satisfying? Forum reputation guaranteed! Eunuch Wang frowned and said, "In that case, wouldn't it be impossible to guard against?"

Long Hui said, "You're overthinking it, Eunuch. I only listed some possible scenarios. I don't think this mixed poison, although potent, can control the type of catalyst at will. Otherwise, Cang Shitian would have already plotted to harm the Emperor, and wouldn't have had to wait until today. As long as we are careful, we can definitely avoid this ominous sign."

Huangfu Wuji said, "Then, Minister Long, what are your opinions?"

Long... Hui said, "In my humble opinion, during this period, Your Majesty should not eat the meals prepared in the palace. Instead, use fresh ingredients to cook and eat immediately. All utensils, including teacups and bowls, should be replaced, and ideally, no outsiders should be allowed to touch them!"

Huangfu Wuji nodded, "Long Qing's words are excellent. This approach greatly reduces the possibility of poisoning by treacherous individuals."

At noon, Huangfu Wuji smiled and said, "Before we knew it, it was lunchtime. Lingyu, why don't you have lunch with Father today? Long Qing, you stay."

Long Hui agreed,

and Bai Lingyu did not object. Huangfu Wuji whispered a few words to Eunuch Wang, who went out for a while and returned with a package from the imperial kitchen.

After setting the package down, he brought out a charcoal brazier.

Just as Long Hui and Bai Lingyu were surprised, Eunuch Wang opened the package, revealing a large pile of raw meat—beef, mutton, chicken, and duck.

Huangfu Wuji laughed and said, "Today we'll use this charcoal brazier to roast meat."

Bai Lingyu had lived in the military camp for a long time and hunting and roasting meat was a common occurrence for him. Now that he had returned to the capital and was eating such exquisite food, he was somewhat unaccustomed to it. Now, he was very interested in reliving his old memories.

She asked Eunuch Wang to find some tree branches, then pulled out her dagger and sharpened the branches until they were smooth and sharp. She sliced the raw beef and mutton into thin pieces, skewered them on the branches, and roasted them over a fire. The fat sizzled and dripped down, and the aroma of the meat filled the air, making one's mouth water.

After grilling a skewer of dried meat, Bai Lingyu handed it to Huangfu Wuji, saying softly, "Father, please try some!"

Huangfu Wuji was taken aback, a hint of tenderness flashing in his eyes. He chuckled as he took the meat, savoring each bite, and slowly chewed, praising, "Delicious! Lingyu's cooking is truly excellent!"

Bai Lingyu asked, "Father, this dried meat isn't seasoned. Is it still delicious?"

Huangfu Wuji smiled, "It's pure and natural, of course it's delicious! Especially since you grilled it for me yourself, Lingyu. It's better than any delicacy."

Huangfu Wuji ate a few more pieces. He was in high spirits and called Eunuch Wang to taste it with him. However, after eating, Eunuch Wang's brows furrowed, and his eyes even became slightly moist.

Huangfu Wuji said unhappily, "Why is the dried meat that the princess roasted herself not to your liking?"

Eunuch Wang sighed, "Your Majesty, please forgive this old servant for speaking frankly, but this dried meat is not seasoned and is far inferior to the food served in the palace. Your Majesty is only keeping quiet out of consideration for the princess's feelings."

Huangfu Wuji's face darkened, as if he was angry.

Long Hui quickly smoothed things over, saying, "Eunuch, even if there was no seasoning, you don't need to cry, haha, that's a bit of an exaggeration." Eunuch Wang

wiped away his tears and said, "This old servant feels heartbroken thinking about how the princess has been eating these unpalatable jerky every day for years, toiling day and night, unable to sleep, and I can't help but shed tears."

Huangfu Wuji was silent for a moment, then sighed, "You're right, Lingyu has indeed suffered these years. But it's alright, I will definitely compensate Lingyu properly. I will give her the most precious jewels in the world, the most delicious food, the most luxurious mansion. If Lingyu asks, I will find a way to take down the stars from the sky."

Bai Lingyu couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, and whispered, "Actually, it's not like..." "Such hardship, yet finding joy amidst the suffering with my brothers is a kind of enjoyment, and the Commander-in-Chief taught me many martial arts and military strategies."

Huangfu Wuji followed her tone and said, "Lingyu, since you like the military camp, I will assemble a women's army for you in the future, which you can command and deploy at will. On the day of the ancestral worship ceremony, I will apologize to you and your mother before our ancestors and bestow upon you the title of Princess Protector of the Nation."

Long Hui suddenly remembered something and hurriedly asked, "Your Majesty, please forgive my impertinence, but what exactly is the ancestral worship ceremony?"

Eunuch Wang said, "Let this old servant explain. The royal ancestral tombs are located on Jiulong Mountain in the eastern suburbs of Yujing. The ceremony is held on the mountain peak, and members of the royal family must arrive before dawn. Your Majesty must get up very early and bathe." "After bathing, burning incense, and calming the mind, one is then served by court officials who offer rituals. One drinks morning dew from a jade cup filled with the morning dew to cleanse the heart."

Suddenly, Long Hui put down the roasted meat in his hand, stood up abruptly, and frowned, saying, "Your Majesty, I've realized something. The Haotian Sect might make their move while you are performing the ancestral worship ceremony!"

Huangfu Wuji pondered for a moment and nodded, "The possibility is very high, because before I arrived at Jiulong Mountain, my bathing, burning incense, and drinking from the jade cup were all ancestral rituals, which cannot be changed!"

Eunuch Wang said, "Your Majesty, perhaps this old servant should arrange for these items to be replaced?"

Huangfu Wuji smiled, "No need. It's only natural for me to be careful with my food. If we change the ancestral worship items, it would be like alerting the enemy!"

Eunuch Wang said worriedly . "Your Majesty, everything is for your health!"

Huangfu Wuji laughed loudly, stood up, his expression invigorated, and said with a heroic air, "Since we knew Cang Shitian's methods beforehand, then I will use their scheme against them and let them walk into my trap!"

Long Hui said, "Since Your Majesty has already made up your mind, this humble subject dares not say more."

Huangfu Wuji smiled and said, "Minister Long is too modest. If it weren't for your reminder about the existence of the poison, I'm afraid I would have suffered a great defeat. After the Haotian rebels are quelled, I will certainly reward those who have contributed."

Long Hui cupped his hands and said, "It is a subject's duty to serve his country and relieve its worries. This humble subject dares not accept any reward." Huangfu Wuji smiled and said, "Don't you even want to be the imperial son-in-law?" Long

Hui was embarrassed.

Bai Lingyu's pretty face flushed red, and she bit her lip without saying a word.

Huangfu Wuji teased, "If you don't speak, I'll take that as a refusal. In a few days, I'll betroth the princess to the eldest son of the Minister of War."

Bai Lingyu immediately became anxious and snorted, "What kind of bullshit eldest son? If you really dare to arrange a marriage, I'll cripple him on my wedding day!"

Huangfu Wuji laughed, "Father didn't want to at first. My Lingyu's martial arts are superb; how could an ordinary man be a match for her? But those with such abilities refuse to express their feelings..."

Bai Lingyu's ears flushed red, and her beautiful eyes glanced at Long Hui.

Long Hui hurriedly knelt down to thank the emperor for his grace, saying, "It is my blessing to marry Lingyu. Thank you, Your Majesty, for bestowing this marriage upon me!"

Huangfu Wuji stared at Long Hui for a moment and said, "Long Hui, I have a question for you. You must answer me honestly!" Long Hui nodded in agreement.

Huangfu Wuji asked, "What is your greatest wish in this life?"

Long Hui sighed, "I was born and raised in Baiwan Town. Although my family wasn't extremely wealthy, we were comfortable enough to have enough to eat, wear, and wear. My only wish is to marry a beautiful and virtuous woman, and then take a few concubines. I'll just live a carefree and carefree life, enjoying life to the fullest. I've never considered achieving fame or making a name for myself." Huangfu Wuji was slightly taken aback and frowned, "A man's ambition lies in all directions. You are in the prime of your youth, why do you have such pessimistic thoughts?"

Long Hui sighed, "Perhaps everyone has their own ambitions. I truly dislike being competitive. If it weren't for the Haotian Sect annihilating my entire family, I would probably still be a spoiled brat, living a carefree life. Therefore, I implore Your Majesty, after eradicating the Haotian Sect, allow me to return home in glory and live out my remaining years with my wives and concubines."

"Free and easy, free and easy..."

Huangfu Wuji murmured to himself a few times, then fell silent, his thoughts drifting away.

Eunuch Wang reminded him, "Your Majesty, the time has come, and the masters from all the sects should have arrived by now."

Huangfu Wuji hummed in response, his eyes slightly opening, regaining his imperial bearing, and strode forward with his head held high: "Very well, I will go and meet the masters from all sides!"

With his imperial gait, the group passed through a hidden door, through a secret room, and into the depths of the Ziwei Palace. There, they saw that the walls were inlaid with large pearls, and under their radiance, the spacious secret room was as bright as day. Inside, they saw the Three Sects of the Heavenly Sword, namely Zong Yixiao, Jingchen, Lilou, and Yu Xiuting and her daughter Wei Xuexin.

Long Hui thought to himself, "It's expected that Xue Xin and the Valley Master will come to help, but didn't Pavilion Master Zong Yixiao leave the capital because of the fire at Haoqi Platform? Why is he here as well?"

Zong Yixiao seemed to see Long Hui's doubts and explained, "Actually, His Majesty saw through Cang Shitian's plan to lure the tiger away from the mountain long ago. A few days ago, he sent someone with a secret decree to stop the infighting within the Confucian school in time, which allowed me to escape."

Huangfu Wuji smiled and said, "I have already stated in the secret decree that Sect Master Kong Xiu is the rightful leader of the Confucian school. His eldest disciple and his descendants are not as good as him in terms of merit and reputation, but the Confucian school needs a new look. These two young masters are both virtuous and ambitious. They should take over the mantle." "The Confucian lineage is the most suitable!"

Long Hui suddenly realized that Huangfu Wuji had put forward such a condition, and then asked, "What about the opinions of the leaders of the other two branches?"

Huangfu Wuji said, "After eliminating the Haotian Sect, Pavilion Master Zong will announce my decree that it is reasonable and legal for Confucius and Mencius to inherit the lineage, and they cannot be allowed to object. Those two have associated too much with my incompetent son, and it is hard to guarantee that they will not be misled by the Haotian Sect. In this siege of the Haotian Sect, I will only let them guard the perimeter and do some auxiliary work. As long as Pavilion Master Zong deals with Cang Shitian, then the reputation of Canghai Pavilion will surpass that of the other two branches. Even without my intervention, the ownership of the lineage will be obvious!"

Long Hui then asked Bodhisattva Li Lou, "May I ask, Bodhisattva, what is the whereabouts of the evil Buddha who possessed Bodhisattva Weituo's body?"

Li Lou shook his head and said, "I am ashamed to say that this person disappeared after the explosion of the Heavenly Song Tower, but he has been secretly instigating various factions of Buddhism, seemingly preparing to take action."

Huangfu Wuji said, "Bodhisattva, there is no need to worry. When Haotian is destroyed, I will expose the evil Buddha's ugly deeds to the world, leaving him nowhere to hide and forcing him to bow down and be executed!" It

turned out that Huangfu Wuji had offered such generous conditions, no wonder he could get the three religions to join forces to support the king. As for Tianjian Valley, it was because of his nepotism that they came to help.

Huangfu Wuji unfolded a map of the imperial palace and said, "On the day of the ancestral worship, I will first pretend to be murdered and unable to appear at Jiulong Mountain. At that time, Cang Shitian will definitely incite members of the royal family to come and force the emperor to abdicate. Then, I will stay here in Ziwei Palace with you all and wait for Cang Shitian to come to us. As for the outer perimeter, the four palaces will be guarded by Qiu Baifei leading the Imperial Guards. In addition, we will need the disciples of the three sects to assist in blocking the retreat of the rebellious ministers."

Jingchen asked, "Your Majesty, may I ask, what methods will Cang Shitian use to assassinate the emperor?"

This question was also the key to the success or failure of this plan. If Huangfu Wuji could not know the methods of Cang Shitian's assassination, not only would he be unable to pretend to be murdered, but his life would also be in danger.

Huangfu Wuji said, "Daoist, you ask a good question. I am certain that Cang Shitian will poison me! And the way he will poison me will be when I am fasting and bathing."

After saying that, he ordered Eunuch Wang to bring the items needed before the ancestral sacrifice. Eunuch Wang brought the sacrificial items without alerting outsiders. They were a set of gold-embroidered yellow robes, some sandalwood, and a jade cup. The jade cup was crystal clear, exquisitely crafted, and shaped like a tripod with nine legs. It was the royal ancestral sacrifice wine cup - the Nine Tripod Jade Cup.

Huangfu Wuji said, "On the day of the ancestral worship, I will only come into contact with these three items. The bathing water is fresh water drawn down from the mountain, and the dew I drink is freshly collected morning dew. It's impractical to poison the water source."

Long Hui thought about it and agreed. To poison fresh water, either the poison must be extremely potent or the quantity must be large enough. The essence of mixing poison lies in combining non-toxic substances to create toxins, so adding a highly toxic substance to the water is impossible, and a sufficient quantity is even more impossible, unless Cang Shitian is a fool. Otherwise, he would never order his men to carry large quantities of poison around the streets.

Dew is affected by climate and wind direction, making it highly unpredictable. Cang Shitian wouldn't rebel with wishful thinking.

Therefore, the best choice for poisoning is something that Huangfu Wuji must come into contact with but is also unexpected. Long Hui glanced at the three items and thought to himself, "These three items are things that Huangfu Wuji must come into contact with, but he will definitely have the palace maids and eunuchs prepare them before using them, which means that outsiders will also come into contact with them. So the key to mixing the poison lies in something that Huangfu Wuji can come into contact with, but outsiders cannot..."

Seeing that Long Hui was silent, Huangfu Wuji asked, "Long Qing, what are you thinking about?"

Long Hui expressed his doubts and sighed, "Your Majesty is wise. The principle of mixing poisons lies in the Yin-Yang method. First, the poison is refined and condensed using a secret method to make the toxicity cancel each other out, and then it is secretly hidden to create two kinds of poisons, Yin and Yang." The poison only takes effect when the Yin and Yang poisons meet, but mixing poisons also has drawbacks. If only one link in the chain is eliminated, the poison won't take effect. These three items, besides the Emperor, will also come into contact with the eunuchs and palace maids who are handling the utensils. If they accidentally come into contact with another poison, wouldn't they become innocent victims, and the Haotian Cult's conspiracy would be exposed? Given Cang Shitian's nature, he would never allow such a thing to happen!

Huangfu Wuji said, "What you say makes sense. Then, Minister Long, what do you think is the key to the poisoning?"

Long Hui frowned and said, "This humble subject has no idea yet, but let me briefly reiterate the Emperor's preparations before the ancestral worship—bathing, changing clothes, burning incense, and drinking water?"

Huangfu Wuji said, "That is indeed it. " "Four steps, this is the only place the Haotian Sect could possibly tamper with!"

Long Hui said, "That's right. According to the Emperor's original analysis, Cang Shitian must have already calculated that the Emperor would die after completing these four steps. Bathing requires water, and the water in this step is running water, so poisoning is impossible; changing clothes, the robe is a must, so there's a high possibility of something fishy going on; tampering with the incense burning step is also somewhat difficult, because there's a lot of sandalwood in the palace, and the Gandharvas don't know which spices the Emperor would use, so the possibility of poisoning is also low; as for drinking water... while dew collection is uncertain, the Emperor would definitely use the cup, so the cup is also a place where something could be tampered with. But it just so happens that the cup and robe belong to someone else." " If it's something that can be touched, how would the Gandharva administer the poison?"

Zong Yixiao asked. "Lord Long, could it be that one poison enters through the mouth, while the other enters through contact? After all, the one who drank the water was only the Emperor."

Long Hui sighed, "The routes of entry into the body can be different, but the mixing of poisons relies on the attraction of yin and yang. As long as the two poisons get close, they will produce toxicity. Of course, if there is a catalyst, then the issue of the catalyst must be considered, but without exception, they will all take effect after getting close, just like in the case of Consort Bai's wrongful conviction, where the two poisons came together and the catalyst catalyzed the process."

Suddenly, a refined and charming female voice rang out: "Your Majesty, I have an idea. Could it be that these four steps are the key to producing toxicity?"

Yu Xiuting suddenly spoke up.

In the seventeenth chapter, Yu

Xiuting said, "As my son-in-law just said, it's difficult to tamper with dew, so how could poison be put in a cup? Since the pool water can't be tampered with, then what about the

pool itself?" Long Hui asked curiously, "How could a Gandharva poison such a large pool?" Yu

Xiuting smiled gently, raised her slender index finger, and said, "It's difficult to poison the bottom and walls of the pool, but what about the outlet?"

Everyone suddenly realized and agreed. If it weren't for the sword immortal's quick wit, they would have almost fallen into a mental rut and might have suffered a major setback.

Yu Xiuting continued, "By the same token, it's difficult to tamper with sandalwood, so..."

Long Hui understood and interjected, "The incense burner! The Gandharva must have poisoned the incense burner!"

Yu Xiuting's starry eyes lit up, her red lips parted slightly, and she gave him an approving smile.

After pondering for a long time, Huangfu Wuji slowly said, "Thank you for your advice, Sword Immortal. I already have a plan. Rather than waiting for the Haotian Sect to poison us, it's better to take the initiative and capture Consort Su. I not only want to use their scheme

against them, but also to alert them!" Just now, he was planning to play hard to get with Consort Su, but now he was going to strike ahead of time. Long Hui was secretly surprised and wondered what Huangfu Wuji was up to. But

then he heard Yu Xiuting transmit her voice, "Your Majesty's move is to disrupt Cang Shitian's formation. It's somewhat like forcing a dog to jump over the wall." Hearing this, Long Hui understood. Capturing Consort Su would be a major blow to the Haotian Sect and would also disturb Cang Shitian's mind. The ideal outcome would be to force Cang Shitian to jump out directly. Even if he could endure it, it would affect the poisoning operation and needlessly increase the chances of defeat.

Huangfu Wuji said, "The Holy Mother Haotian has broken the seal and fully recovered her power. To avoid unnecessary casualties, I would like to request Pavilion Master Zong and Daoist Jingchen to take action."

The two, a Confucian and a Daoist, responded, "We will go and capture this poisonous woman!"

Just then, a clattering sound came from outside the hidden door. Eunuch Wang knew this was a code, so he opened the hidden door.

Wuying entered the room and reported, "Wuying greets Your Majesty."

Huangfu Wuji said, "Wuying, have you found out the background of the owner of Feixu Restaurant?"

Wuying shook his head and said, "Not yet, but my spies have discovered something terrible, so I rushed back to report to Your Majesty!"

Huangfu Wuji raised an eyebrow and said, "What happened?"

Wuying said in a deep voice, "My spies discovered traces of troops at the border of Yujing River and the east bank. Judging from their military insignia, they seem to be the Western Regions Tiger and Leopard Camp, with about three thousand men!"

Huangfu Wuji's expression changed drastically. He stood up abruptly and said sternly, "Is this true?"

Wuying said, "This matter is of great importance, and I dare not speak rashly."

Huangfu Wuji's expression changed from sunny to gloomy. He then sighed and sat down again, saying, "Sect Master, Daoist Master, I cannot touch Consort Su for the time being."

The Confucian and Daoist scholars also guessed some clues, and then sighed helplessly, watching as this woman went unpunished.

Huangfu Wuji gritted his teeth and said, "The Western Regions Tiger and Leopard Camp? What a Haotian Sect! I underestimated Cang Shitian! I can't touch that bitch right now, but the Tiger and Leopard Camp will definitely make trouble." Normally, three thousand soldiers wouldn't be enough to fill the Imperial Guard's teeth, but Yujing had just experienced a mutiny. The Imperial Guard was not only decimated by Prince Qi, but even the armory was burned. If they were to face the battle-hardened Tiger and Leopard Camp at this time, the outcome would be unpredictable.

Bai Lingyu snorted, "Father, the mere Tiger and Leopard Camp is nothing to me! Please, Father, grant me three thousand men; I'll make sure they never return!"

Huangfu Wuji laughed, "Lingyu, you can't judge a book by its cover. Since the Haotian Sect has already extended its reach to the Western Regions army, it means they've already established considerable influence there. I'm afraid even the Western Regions Marshal Zhang Huanyu is one of their men. Although I believe you can defeat the invading Tiger and Leopard Camp, the Haotian Sect's foundation in the Western Regions remains. A cornered dog will do the opposite; Cang Shitian will definitely carve out a territory and declare himself king in the Western Regions. At that time, war will be inevitable!"

Bai Lingyu stamped her foot and said, "Are these scoundrels still free?!"

Huangfu Wuji shook his head and said, "Lingyu, your father has never intended to let the Haotian Sect go; he is merely continuing with the original plan."

Bai Lingyu was taken aback and said urgently, "Father, you're not going to deal with Consort Su, yet you're risking your life! This is absolutely unacceptable!"

Her brows were filled with anxiety and tension. Huangfu Wuji saw this and felt a warmth in his heart. He smiled kindly and said, "Lingyu, although your father is the supreme ruler who holds the power of life and death over the world, haven't I also linked my own life and death with the world's?" "At that time, my life was no longer my own!"

Then his tone turned serious, his face grim, and he said, "Perhaps many people see me as a tyrant, capable of ruthlessly sacrificing my bedmate and my own flesh and blood, but I am by no means a foolish ruler! I will never allow the country to be divided or for civil war to break out; this is my principle and bottom line!"

Bai Lingyu sighed softly, "Father, I know your good intentions, but if anything happens to you, the world will also be thrown into chaos."

Huangfu Wuji smiled and said, "Father only assesses the odds and benefits when making decisions. Compared to sending troops to suppress the rebellion in the Western Regions, dealing with Cang Shitian within the palace is much simpler and easier." "Alright. Now that Father Emperor has learned of their methods and has many experts to assist him, are you still afraid of not being able to deal with Cang Shitian?"

Zong Yixiao said, "Your Majesty cares for the common people and has risked his life alone. I, Zong Yixiao, will take Cang Shitian's head even if it means my own death, to repay Your Majesty's benevolence!"

Jingchen also said, "On that day, I will fight to the death to protect Your Majesty. If Your Majesty is harmed by the villains, I, Jingchen, will commit suicide to atone for my sins!"

The Bodhisattva of Lilou chanted a Buddhist prayer, "Your Majesty has stepped forward to lure the enemy. I, this humble monk, am willing to send my disciples to assist the Imperial Guard in defending the city!"

The Confucian and Taoist sects also offered to send their disciples to participate in the battle.

Long Hui thought to himself, "Although Huangfu Wuji is ruthless and vicious, he mostly targets those who obstruct imperial power. He is still considerate of the people, and there are no exorbitant taxes or forced conscription. He still has firm principles regarding national policies... His virtue as a ruler can be seen from the chaos in the Shayu region."

Throughout history, most of the rulers who lost their kingdoms were mediocre and incompetent. Some emperors did things that ordinary people thought were cruel and absurd, and were therefore called tyrants, such as killing brothers, forcibly marrying their brothers' wives, seizing their brothers' wives, having an affair with their stepmothers, slaughtering meritorious officials, and seizing power by deceiving their nephews, etc. But in reality, they were talented and capable, and governed the country in an orderly manner, allowing the people to live in peace and prosperity. As for the infamy they received in later historical records, it was just a deliberate smear campaign by certain dynasties to consolidate their rule.

"If the Great Heng Dynasty were to collapse a hundred years from now, Huangfu Wuji would probably be branded with such a stigma, wouldn't he?"

Long Hui pondered to himself. But then he realized that this so-called stigma was only directed at his treatment of others. As for the people's livelihood and military and political affairs of the Central Plains during Huangfu Wuji's reign, these deliberately smearing historical records would probably not even mention it.

During his time at Iron Wall Pass, Long Hui had also read a lot of books and found that some emperors in the historical records were praised to the skies, called "the sage ruler of all ages" or "the perfect emperor," which were either smearing the previous dynasty or exaggerating their achievements! Suppressing the rebellion of the vassal kings was actually a humiliating defeat, and the country only managed to win the civil war after exhausting its resources; suppressing foreign powers was to cede territory and sue for peace externally, while internally claiming that the other side had surrendered; establishing a library and archives was, in short, burning books and destroying scriptures, destroying all books that were not conducive to his rule, and instigating a great literary inquisition! These so-called sage rulers and emperors all came from the same dynasty. Without exception, the historical records of this dynasty all vilified the previous dynasty. Even when it came to how the first few emperors of the founding dynasty prospered the country and expanded its territory, the focus was on how these emperors monitored their ministers and how they allowed eunuchs to seize power. As for territorial expansion, they directly labeled it as a waste of resources and manpower.

Long Hui gave an objective assessment of this unpredictable and capricious emperor: "Back when I was in Baiwan Town, life was peaceful and comfortable. I had no worries about food or clothing, and the villagers around me were all able to make ends meet. To be honest, Huangfu Wuji was not a good father or a good husband, but he was definitely a capable emperor! All those cruel killings were just a continuation of the struggle between imperial power and the cabinet..."

Since the emperor's mind was made up, Bai Lingyu didn't say much, but simply said, "Father, please allow me to transfer an elite force from Tiebi Pass to reinforce the capital!"

Huangfu Wuji smiled and said, "Very good. Then let Lingyu and your consort be in charge. Both the Azure Dragon and Qilin armies will be transferred. I want to see if the Tiger and Leopard Battalion can withstand the two elite forces of the Northern Frontier."

Long Hui couldn't help but be secretly delighted. Indeed, no one knows a husband better than his wife. With Xiaoyu'er's words, he was exempted from the crime of transferring troops without authorization. Then, the Azure Dragon Army's entry into the capital would be perfectly legitimate.

Autumn was deep, and the mountain winds were cold, but they couldn't deter the fierce warriors. A force of over three thousand elite soldiers from Hedong was rapidly marching towards Yujing, completely unarmed and lightly equipped. Their armor bore the insignia of a blue dragon, marking them as Long Hui's direct subordinate, the Azure Dragon Army.

The leading general, riding a tall warhorse and carrying a steel saber, was broad-shouldered, thick-waisted, with dark eyebrows and bronze eyes—this was Wang Dong.

His deputy, though slightly thin, possessed a sharp and capable air; carrying a longbow and with a quiver of quivers on his horse, this was Liang Ming.

Upon receiving Long Hui's personal letter, the two men immediately mustered their three thousand elite troops and marched day and night, reaching Hedong from Tiebi Pass in just five days. By the time they reached the border between Yujing and Hedong, it was the auspicious day for ancestral worship.

At the foot of Dengyun Mountain, Wang Dong suddenly waved his hand, and the entire army abruptly stopped, their ranks perfectly aligned.

Liang Ming rode up and whispered, "Brother Wang, the enemy has the advantage of terrain and has blocked the road to the capital. What should our army do?"

Wang Dong replied, "Let's hold our position for now and wait for Mr. Feng to return."

After a few breaths, a gentle breeze blew, and Feng Wangchen floated down from the sky. Wang Dong hurriedly asked, "Mr. Feng, what's the situation on the mountain?"

Feng Wangchen took out a map from his robes and sighed, "The Tiger and Leopard Battalion has already secured all the mountain roads. It's impossible to sneak past!"

The two generals took the map and examined it carefully for a moment, realizing that a sneak attack was unlikely to succeed. Liang Ming sighed, "A sneak attack is unlikely; let's take a detour."

Wang Dong shook his head, "If we take a detour, it will take at least two days to reach Yujing. If we cross the mountain, it will only take half an hour to reach the capital. Today is an auspicious day for ancestor worship, and according to Mr. Feng, General Long is already fighting the Haotian Sect! We don't have time to wait any longer."

Liang Ming said, "Are we going to launch a full-scale attack on Dengyun Mountain?"

Wang Dong's eyes narrowed, a bloodthirsty glint flashing within them. He licked his lips and said, "That's right. That so-called Tiger and Leopard Camp has a very prestigious reputation; I've wanted to meet them for a long time!"

Liang Ming pondered for a moment and said, "A strong attack on the hill is fine; at least it can hold off the Tiger and Leopard Camp, preventing them from entering the capital and easing the burden on the general."

Wang Dong nodded and said, "It's settled then!"

He waved his command flag, giving the order to prepare for battle. All the soldiers immediately tensed up, gripping their weapons tightly, ready for a fierce battle.

Since the decision to launch a strong attack had been made, Wang Dong didn't hold back and shouted loudly, "Brothers, hasn't General Long been good to us in the past!"

The soldiers shouted in unison, "Good!" Wang Dong continued, "Now the general is being persecuted by treacherous people in Yujing, and this band of bandits on the mountain are their henchmen. What do you all think we should do?" "

Kill!" Three thousand soldiers shouted in unison, their heroic spirit soaring to the heavens, their military spirit shaking the hundred miles. The Tiger and Leopard Camp on the mountain was immediately alarmed, raising their battle flags and confronting them.

Wang Dong pointed at the hilltop and cursed, "You damned traitors! If you have the guts, come out and fight me! We all have three thousand men, it's perfectly fair. Whoever loses is a coward!"

Wang Dong's angry shouts were not reckless; at this point, only a direct confrontation remained, and morale was paramount. Moreover, the Azure Dragon Army was at a disadvantage in terms of terrain, and only by rallying the entire army's fighting spirit could they have a chance of victory.

The Tiger and Leopard Battalion, used to their arrogance in the Western Regions, had never encountered such insults. The soldiers were also filled with rage, wishing they could devour Wang Dong alive.

A red-armored general stepped forward and shouted, "The Tiger and Leopard Battalion is stationed here by imperial decree. What kind of troops are you, daring to disturb our ranks? If you do not retreat immediately, you are disobeying the imperial decree, committing treason! Don't blame me for being ruthless then!"

The red-armored general—wasn't this the traitor Haotian that Mr. Feng had mentioned? Wang Dong, recognizing his opponent's identity, remained fearless and shouted, "Damn it, who the hell are you, daring to falsely convey imperial edicts and deceive your grandfather!"

The red-armored general raised a cold eyebrow and sneered, "I am Deng Yong, the second commander of the Tiger and Leopard Camp. And who are you, scoundrel, with such an arrogant tone!"

Wang Dong roared, "I am Wang Dong of the Azure Dragon Army! You cowards who only know how to bully the Western Region barbarians dare to be called the elite of the Great Heng Army alongside my Azure Dragon Army!"

Liang Ming chimed in, "What bullying the Western Region barbarians? Those so-called kings of the Western Regions are all concubines of the Haotian Sect. To put it bluntly, it's just infighting among our own people, fabricating battle records to bolster our military achievements! Unlike our Iron Wall Pass, where we truly fought the Iron Fierce Barbarians, our military achievements are all real."

Liang Ming's words were like adding fuel to the fire, and the Tiger and Leopard Camp erupted in battle cries. The air crackled with excitement; everyone was itching to test their skills against the Azure Dragon Army. Seeing the army's morale rising, the Red-Armor General, not wanting to suppress it, seized the opportunity and declared, "Who is willing to take this

bastard's head?" A general stepped forward and said

, "This humble general, Zeng Zhao, is willing to go!" The Red-Armor General nodded and said, "Granted! I wish Brother Zeng a swift victory!"

Zeng Zhao grabbed a long saber, mounted his horse, and charged down the mountain, shouting, "You dog surnamed Wang, take my blade!"

Wang Dong sneered and immediately ordered his men to bring over a long saber. He spurred his horse to meet the challenge, shouting, "You worthless thing! When I was wielding this saber, you were still suckling!"

The long saber was thick and heavy, requiring both hands and the strength of the waist to wield. It was only suitable for infantry, not for mounted combat. However, after years of fierce fighting, Wang Dong's arm strength had greatly increased, and he had mastered the art of using the long saber on horseback.

He raised the saber in one hand, spurred his horse forward, and, using the momentum of the charge, suddenly swung the saber.

The Mo Dao was the most elite weapon in the Heng Army. Coupled with Wang Dong's extraordinary strength and courage, how could Zeng Zhao be a match for him? In just one round, in the blink of an eye, Wang Dong cleaved Zeng Zhao and his sword in two.

After slaying the enemy general, not a drop of blood remained on the Mo Dao's blade; its cold gleam was as sharp as ever, inspiring fear in all who beheld it.

Wang Dong laughed loudly, "What kind of bullshit Western Region elites are they? They can't even withstand a single blow from my blade!"

Another general charged out from the Tiger and Leopard Camp, wielding a gleaming iron spear, and rode into the fray, shouting

, "Zhang Si, the cavalry general of the Tiger and Leopard Camp, is here to take your dog's life!" Wang Dong sneered, "Another one offering his head!"

Just as he was about to spur his horse to meet the attack, Liang Ming beat him to it, saying, "Brother Wang, let me take your place!"

Although Liang Ming was also from the Mo Dao Camp, he didn't possess Wang Dong's extraordinary arm strength, so he couldn't use the Mo Dao on horseback. However, the Mo Dao Camp was composed of brave and fierce soldiers from various armies, and Liang Ming's other skills were by no means inferior. He charged forward with a nine-foot-long spear.

Liang Ming was spirited, his spear flashing like a viper's tongue. Zhang Si was no simple opponent either, swinging his iron spear and engaging Liang Ming in a fierce battle for more than ten rounds.

Not wanting to waste time in a prolonged battle, Liang Ming deliberately created an opening, allowing Zhang Si to break through to the center. He suddenly tilted his head, intentionally letting Zhang Si knock off his helmet.

With the helmet on the ground, Liang Ming feigned defeat and turned to flee. Zhang Si, determined to avenge his comrade, gave chase.

Liang Ming swiftly drew his longbow from his back, instantly nocked an arrow, gripped his horse's flanks tightly, and fired a shot backward.

A muffled groan escaped Zhang Si's lips; the arrow struck between his eyebrows, and he immediately fell from his horse, dead.

Liang Ming reined in his horse and mocked, "A good-for-nothing is a good-for-nothing! Greedy for victory, unaware of defeat, you deserve to be hit by a cold arrow!"

Having lost two generals, the Red-Armored General could no longer save face. He grabbed a spiked club, mounted his horse, and roared, "Ignorant brat! Today I will fight two of you and smash your dog heads!"

Just then, a rider charged out from the Azure Dragon Army, clad in chainmail and wielding a long-handled saber—it was Ling Xiao.

Ling Xiao stepped forward and shouted, "Such a scoundrel is no trouble for you two commanders. Let me handle him!" Wang Dong, though rough and uncouth, was actually a veteran soldier who knew when to kill and when to retreat. This Crimson-Armored General was a master of the Haotian Sect, and he wasn't foolish enough to fight him one-on-one. So he readily handed the task to Ling Xiao.

The Crimson-Armored General was actually the leader of the eight divisions of the Haotian Sect, named Tianzhong. In the Tiger and Leopard Camp, he used the alias Li Hong. He recalled the night Ling Xiao and Feng Wangchen had been able to come and go freely in his camp, and a fire ignited in his heart. He raised his spiked club and struck, the club concealing a unique true energy—the Heavenly Meteor True Energy.

This true energy was derived from the idea of a meteorite falling from the sky, implying that its force was immense and powerful.

In the instant the club swung, it seemed to transform into a giant rock and hurtled down.

Ling Xiao, showing no weakness, gripped the hilt of his sword, activated the Thunder Scroll, and unleashed a thunderous strike from the blade.

Both the Mo Dao and the spiked club were heavy weapons, their power amplified by the combined strength of the two fighters. Each clash was earth-shattering, chilling to the bone.

After several rounds of fighting, neither gaining the upper hand, Ling Xiao suddenly raised his Mo Dao high, drawing in his inner energy. The Thunder Force of the Nine Heavens surged forth, flowing into the blade and amplifying its power.

With this charge of thunderous energy, Ling Xiao delivered a powerful blow. The Heavenly Clan trembled, realizing this was not a direct confrontation. They adjusted their inner energy, shifting from a strong attack to a semi-defense stance, their spiked clubs twisting to deflect the Thunder Blade's killing intent.

"You scoundrel! Take another strike from me!"

Ling Xiao, caught up in the excitement, gripped his sword with both hands, slashing horizontally with Thunder Force.

The Heavenly Clan raised their clubs, blocking the Thunder Blade once more.

Although they managed to keep their horses intact, Tianzhong's warhorse suffered internal injuries from the burning lightning. With a mournful cry, the horse stumbled and died.

Despite losing his horse, Tianzhong remained calm. The moment he landed, he slumped his waist and slammed his spiked club into Lingxiao's horse's foreleg, breaking it with a crack.

Both had lost their horses, and the battle was even again. Tianzhong stomped his feet, roused himself, and swung his spiked club at Lingxiao. His Heavenly Meteor True Qi was pushed to its peak, each strike carrying the force of a meteor. Lingxiao

gripped his broadsword diagonally, the blade touching the ground as he dragged it along, secretly channeling his Flame Scroll. The blazing Yang True Qi heated the broadsword until it glowed red-hot, leaving a charred fiery mark on the ground.

Just as the two were about half a foot apart, the Heavenly Clan's spiked clubs slammed down, creating a blast of air, while Lingxiao's broadsword cleaved upwards, igniting a crimson spark.

The clash of clubs and swords caused a surge of true energy, the two powerful forces colliding and cracking the ground within a ten-step radius, shattering rocks and soil.

Just as both sides were preparing to unleash their full power to overwhelm each other, a rapid drumbeat suddenly resounded from the hillside, followed by the thunderous, chaotic sound of galloping hooves—the Tiger and Leopard Camp's cavalry charging.

It turned out to be the doing of Jue Tian, the head of the Six Heavenly Palaces. Seeing that the Heavenly Clan was unable to defeat Lingxiao after a prolonged battle, he feared for his comrades and ordered the cavalry to charge.

The Heavenly Clan feigned an attack, then turned and retreated, allowing their cavalry to charge towards Lingxiao and the Azure Dragon Army behind them.

Wang Dong remained calm and shouted, "Shi Hong, it's up to you!"

Shi Hong immediately yelled, "Dismount and form ranks! Prepare your grappling hooks!"

A cavalry unit of over three hundred men leaped from their horses, brandishing their grappling hooks, and charged forward, forming a grappling hook formation within the infantry.

Since Long Hui established the Azure Dragon Army, he had emphasized training the soldiers' comprehensive abilities, one of which was that regardless of their original branch of service, they had to be proficient in horsemanship, so that they could be cavalry on horseback and infantry on dismount.

Shi Hong's grappling hookmen were all elites who had survived the bloody battle of Fengdu. Not only were they formidable in combat, but their teamwork and mental fortitude far surpassed those of ordinary troops. At Shi Hong's command, the grappling hook formation immediately spread out in an umbrella shape, creating an opening for the Tiger and Leopard Camp cavalry—in reality, a trap to lure the enemy in.

Once the cavalry charged in formation, they were difficult to stop, and even if they knew the grappling hookmen were up to trickery, they could only charge anyway.

As the cavalry charged into the fray, the grappling hookmen immediately surrounded them from both sides, slashing and hacking at the horses' legs. Horses neighed, riders fell, and so it went, with the front ranks collapsing and the rear trampling. In the blink of an eye, more than half of the cavalry was wiped out. Fortunately, the Tiger and Leopard Battalion was also an elite force, managing to halt the tide and retreat back up the mountain to preserve the remaining cavalry.

Seeing an opportunity, Wang Dong immediately led his men in a charge, a fierce assault on Dengyun Mountain. Holding a long-handled sword and spurring his horse, he roared, "Brothers—charge!"

As the saying goes, in a narrow encounter, the brave prevail. With their commander fighting bravely, how could their subordinates not fight to the death? Moreover, cavalry attacking mountains was a major taboo; if they couldn't seize the position in one fell swoop, it would mean total annihilation. This desperate situation, with no way to retreat, fueled the Qinglong Army's even greater killing intent, and the entire army launched a relentless, death-defying attack on Dengyun Mountain.

On the mountaintop, seeing the Qinglong Army's unstoppable momentum, Jue Tian ordered his archers to fire arrows to intercept them, killing many Qinglong soldiers.

Seeing this, Liang Ming immediately ordered, "Fire back!"

He took the lead, nocked an arrow, and unleashed his archery skills, firing seven sharp arrows in quick succession, taking seven lives.

The Qinglong Army's archers followed suit, using mounted archery against the crossbows, temporarily suppressing the enemy's momentum.

When the Qinglong Army reached the mountainside, the Tiger and Leopard Camp unleashed another fierce attack, sending rocks and logs raining down, causing heavy casualties among the Qinglong Army.

However, these were veterans who had participated in the bloody battle of Fengdu, and had even witnessed the more formidable Yin Army corpse soldiers. The meager losses did not shake their morale at all; on the contrary, they aroused the bloodlust of the entire army, making them like wounded beasts.

"Hold on!"

Wang Dong roared, "Charge forward and kill these wildcats!"

Wang Dong was like a mad tiger, swinging his longsword to forcefully cut three logs, but was forced back by falling rocks, his anger surging.

Just then, a whirlwind arose, carrying several rocks and logs into the air before hurling them towards the Tiger and Leopard Camp. This was Feng Wangchen's doing; he rode the wind upwards, using a soft wind Tai Chi circle technique to turn the tables on them, disrupting the Tiger and Leopard Camp's rear and giving the Azure Dragon Army a chance to catch their breath and counterattack.

Jue Tian's face darkened, and he drew his sword, unleashing a sword aura into the air.

Feng Wangchen dodged the wind, using the Boundless Wind Shadow Technique to nimbly slip into Jue Tian's blind spot. Then, with a flick of his folding fan, a fierce wind blade hurtled towards him.

Jue Tian parried with his sword, and a clanging sound rang out as the wind blade failed to inflict any damage.

Just as the rolling stones and logs paused, a deafening thunderous roar erupted. Ling Xiao, riding the thunderous force, wielding his long-handled broadsword, charged into the fray. His thunderous blade slashed and cut, unstoppable, slaughtering the soldiers responsible for the falling stones and logs, leaving them bloodied and unable to defend themselves.

Seeing this, the Heavenly Clan swung their spiked clubs, but Ling Xiao met them with his own blade. The clashes and strikes, the surging true energy scattering in all directions, made it impossible for strangers to approach. The vast battlefield became a duel arena for the two of them.

Jue Tian tried to support his companions but was entangled in a battle with Feng Wangchen. Jue Tian was incredibly frustrated. While this fellow's foundation was inferior to his own, his agile and swift movements made it impossible for him to land a hit. No matter how much power Jue Tian unleashed or how powerful his attacks, he couldn't hit his target.

Wind Scroll excels at speed. During the internal strife in Panlong, Feng Wangchen's two defeats were not due to his incompetence. The first time was to save Wangyue, and the second time was against Lin Birou, who had combined nine scrolls. Now, with no worries about the rear and no one proficient in Wind Scrolls, Feng Wangchen is like an invisible wind, sometimes fast, sometimes slow—when fast, the wind is like a blade, cutting and painful; when slow, the wind is like gentle water, lingering and persistent. Jue Tian was entangled and unable to break free, yet he couldn't hit the enemy, almost spitting blood in anger. With

the two top experts of the Tiger and Leopard Camp both entangled, the soldiers of the Azure Dragon Army quickly rushed to the top of the mountain. As soon as they reached the top, Wang Dong shouted, "All troops dismount and form an infantry formation!"

Horses can be used to attack mountains, as there is a long distance for cavalry to charge, but riding horses after reaching the top of the mountain is foolish. The small mountain is not only densely wooded, but also small in space, making it difficult to control the speed of the horses. One wrong move and they would fall to their deaths.

The Azure Dragon Army, capable of both mounted and infantry combat, saw Liang Ming immediately summon archers and crossbowmen upon dismounting. They used powerful bows and

arrows to clear a path, suppressing the Tiger and Leopard Camp's crossbowmen. Then, Shi Hong personally led his hook-spear wielders forward, first attacking the enemy's lower body, severing ankles, and then focusing on the upper body, reaping lives. The hook-spears, stained with blood, witnessed a shift in the infantry formation. A troop of armored soldiers charged out from the left flank, led by Wang Dong, wielding a long-handled broadsword, followed by three hundred axemen, charging into the enemy ranks.

The long-handled broadsword and the hook-spear were the two most powerful close-combat weapons of the Daheng infantry, working seamlessly together. If the hook-spears attacked first, the long-handled broadswords would lurk behind, waiting for the enemy's formation to crumble before launching a powerful attack, like a mobile, impenetrable fortress of blades, crushing the enemy. If the long-handled broadswords attacked first, the hook-spears would defend the flanks, allowing the long-handled broadswords to focus on the enemy.

Because the Mo Dao (陌刀) was heavy and unsuitable for rapid marches, Wang Dong replaced its long-handled blade with a short-handled axe. Having served as a centurion in the Mo Dao Battalion for many years, he had developed a set of skills in using the Mo Dao. Thus, the axe, replacing the Mo Dao, was just as powerful, becoming a veritable meat grinder on the battlefield. The Tiger and Leopard Battalion was routed, quickly turning the tide of battle. A few years ago, the Azure Dragon Army and the Tiger and Leopard Battalion might have been evenly matched in such a head-on confrontation, but these Iron Wall Pass soldiers, having undergone the baptism of fierce fighting and the bloody battle of Fengdu, had all improved significantly. Therefore, the difference in skill was immediately apparent.

Suddenly, a purple smoke rose from the capital city of Yujing, like a soaring purple dragon, rising straight into the heavens.

The signal to enter the city! Wang Dong and his men trembled, shouting, "Everyone, quickly kill these bastards and enter the city to rescue General Long!" With

united will and a single-minded focus, all the soldiers fought bravely and fearlessly. Driven

by his fierce desire to protect his master, Ling Xiao's courage swelled. The Thunder and Flame scrolls merged and fused, unleashing a torrent of lightning and thunderous energy. In the blink of an eye, he unleashed over thirty strikes, pulverizing and melting the maces of the Heavenly Clan.

Seeing Ling Xiao's growing strength and their own soldiers' overwhelming defeat, the Heavenly Clan, unwilling to fight further, channeled their inner energy into the broken iron pieces they held, using them as hidden weapons to attack Ling Xiao.

Ling Xiao, however, defended his position, desperately resisting the deadly attacks, but had no time to pursue the Heavenly Clan, allowing them to escape.

Meanwhile, Jue Tian acted decisively, forcing Feng Wangchen back with his sword, retreating to gather his remaining troops and fight his way out.

Wang Dong said gravely, "Mr. Feng, Brother Ling, this purple smoke…"

Feng Wangchen nodded, saying, "It's a signal from the Dragon Lord, summoning us to the capital immediately."

Wang Dong exchanged a glance with Liang Ming and Shi Hong, nodded, and immediately shouted, "Leave a hundred men to take care of the wounded brothers! Everyone who can still ride, follow me!"

In a fierce battle, the Azure Dragon Army won a great victory, losing four hundred men, while the Tiger and Leopard Battalion suffered more than half its casualties. The superiority of the two sides was obvious. Wang Dong and his men led more than two thousand soldiers over Dengyun Mountain, ignoring their fatigue as they rushed towards the capital.

When they were still a mile from Yujing, Feng Wangchen went ahead to scout, quickly making a round trip by flying.

He frowned and said, "The North Gate is still locked!"

According to the original plan, the North Gate had already been opened; why was it still locked? Had something gone wrong? Ling Xiao and Feng Wangchen both tensed up. Just then, a general appeared on the city wall and shouted, "Which unit are you from? What are you doing in Yujing?"

Wang Dong shouted back, "We came from Iron Wall Pass. A small group of Tie Lie infiltrated the pass, so we've been chasing them!"

The garrison commander shouted, "We haven't seen any Tie Lie here. Retreat immediately!"

Taking advantage of this moment, Feng Wangchen used the Wind Scroll Martial Art—Wind Shadow Identification—to merge his divine sense and body into the wind, sensing the general situation within the surrounding area. Suddenly, he heard shouts of battle coming from inside the city, seemingly calling for the capture of rebels, and there was a faint smell of blood in the air.

Feng Wangchen immediately whispered a few words to Wang Dong, telling him the situation and instructing him to deliberately provoke trouble.

Wang Dong, a seasoned veteran, feigned ignorance, saying, "General, we brothers have been traveling for days and fighting several battles with Tie Lie. We're exhausted and weary. Could you give us some supplies?"

The garrison commander angrily retorted, "Go find food elsewhere! This isn't a place for peasants like you!"

Liang Ming, unable to contain himself, roared, "Bullshit! Don't think you're so great just because you're soldiers in the capital! If it weren't for our desperate defense of Tiebi Pass, you bunch of good-for-nothings would have been chopped up by Tie Lie long ago!"

Shi Hong, having also suffered humiliation in the capital, seized the opportunity to join the commotion: "Damn it, these guys..." "These pampered child soldiers are only fit to stand on the city wall and look around. What kind of damn Imperial Guards are they? They're all useless trash, all show and no substance. If you've got the guts, come down and fight me! I'll smash your balls in!"

The garrison commander was furious. He immediately ordered his archers to step forward, aiming their arrows at the Azure Dragon Army, and shouted, "If you don't get out of here, I won't be so polite!"

Wang Dong's face darkened. This Jade Capital city was tall and sturdy, not a small hill that could be easily stormed. At this moment, not only were their troops insufficient, but they also lacked siege weapons. To enter the city, they would have to open the gates wide.

Just then, Ling Xiao and Feng Wangchen's expressions suddenly changed, and a relieved smile appeared on their faces.

Wang Dong looked on in confusion, thinking to himself, "How can you still laugh at a time like this?"

Feng Wangchen waved his folding fan and laughed, "General Wang, there's no need to worry, because I can already sense a surge of true energy rushing from inside the city towards the city gate!"

Wang Dong, unfamiliar with internal energy cultivation, was completely bewildered. Ling Xiao calmly said, "It's true energy from the same source as our martial arts!"

Just as the Imperial Guards and the Azure Dragon Army were locked in a stalemate, a series of panicked screams suddenly came from behind the city wall. The defending general was terrified, and the archers were thrown into disarray.

Feng Wangchen and Ling Xiao seized the opportunity, moving simultaneously. One transformed into a boundless wind shadow, while the other used the Thunder Step technique. In just a few breaths, they stormed onto the city wall.

Wind and thunder combined, the wind fueling the fire. The civil and military leaders launched a coordinated attack, sweeping away all the archers on the city wall.

A series of crashing sounds echoed from the city gate. The several-foot-thick iron gate was being rammed from the inside by an unknown force. Each impact created a bulge the size of a palm, followed by the descent of lightning, the generation of flames, the roar of the sea, the fall of frost, the swirling of winds, the stirring of divine spirits, the annihilation of calamity, the piercing of a clear rainbow, the breaking of a thousand armies, the gathering of underworld soldiers into one, and the unstoppable flow of true energy. With a deafening roar, the entire city gate was shattered as if hit by a cannonball. The several-foot-thick iron gate, along with the surrounding city walls, turned to ashes at the same time, and a large hole appeared in the Jade Capital city wall.

Amidst billowing smoke and flying debris, a graceful figure stood against the wind, clad in a flowing green dress that accentuated her voluptuous curves. A jade belt cinched her slender waist, highlighting her full breasts and rounded hips, making her alluring and captivating. Her fair face was as white as jade, her lips as red as cinnabar, her cheeks flushed, and her brows held a tender expression. Despite the deafening sounds of battle and swirling dust around her, her beauty remained untouched, like a delicate flower blooming amidst chaos. The soldiers stood frozen in stunned silence, the only sound the spitting of saliva filling the air.

The beautiful woman chuckled, "I was delayed on the way and am a little late. Please forgive me!"

Feng Wangchen laughed, "Not late at all, you've arrived just in time!"

Chapter Eighteen: Who Will Win or Lose ?

The night before the ancestral worship ceremony, the main hall of Ziwei Palace was quiet and empty. Huangfu Wuji and the others emerged from the secret passage. Long Hui, Bai Lingyu, the Sword Immortal and her daughter, and the three sects' innate masters were all present. In addition, there was one more person: Yu Wuhen.

Her face was veiled, concealing her pure and beautiful face. Her light blue eyes, set against the pearly light, made her even more charming, like a bright pearl in the blue sea, breathtakingly beautiful.

Yu Wuhen had come as the Sword Immortal's personal disciple. Long Hui's original intention was to keep Yu Wuhen by his side, using her ability to communicate with Lin Birou to exchange information, understand the changes inside and outside the palace, and make timely adjustments.

First, he went to the pool in the side chamber. The pool was now empty. Long Hui jumped into the pool. The pool was decorated with carved dragons and phoenixes, displaying its magnificence and nobility. At each of the four corners of the pool was a brass dragon head

inlaid with gold, which was the outlet of the pool. Long Hui used a dagger to scrape some gold powder from the dragon's mouth

. Yu Wuhen assisted him by bringing a fish tank with a goldfish inside. Long Hui threw the gold powder into the fish tank, then poured water into it using a jade cup. Finally, he placed the fish tank next to the incense burner with burning sandalwood. The fish continued to swim happily, showing no signs of distress.

Long Hui bowed to Huangfu Wuji and said, "Your Majesty, please forgive my boldness!"

Huangfu Wuji laughed and said, "Minister Long, please go ahead!"

Long Hui used chopsticks to pick up the goldfish and threw it onto his golden robe. The goldfish jumped a few times and then died with a gurgle.

"You wicked scoundrel! Truly vicious!"

Huangfu Wuji sneered.

Long Hui had inquired with Teng Ji and learned that as long as the poisoned object was found, burning it would remove the toxicity. He then bowed and said, "Your Majesty, as the saying goes, fire can overcome a hundred poisons. Please burn the water spout, incense burner, and jade cup."

Huangfu Wuji nodded in agreement.

Long Hui first took the sandalwood from the incense burner, then used his True Fire Essence to heat the burner until it was red-hot. Teng Ji estimated that the poison on the burner was probably coated on the lid or rim, mixing with the fragrance when the sandalwood rose, avoiding the flames and silently invading the body. Now that Long Hui had burned the incense burner extensively, the poison immediately vanished. Long Hui then

did the same, burning the dragon head and jade cup. The golden robe, however, was not resistant to flames, so he didn't touch it. As long as these three pathways were cut off, the poison would be unable to work. Therefore, Huangfu Wuji also kept the golden robe as a show for the Haotian Sect.

After the temperature cooled, the incense burner, faucet, and jade cup were washed with water to remove the scorch marks, leaving everything flawless.

Huangfu Wuji was very satisfied and laughed, "Excellent! Everything is ready except for the final touch. Tomorrow will be the day the Haotian Sect is destroyed!"

At this moment, Wuying entered from the secret passage, handed Huangfu Wuji a secret report, and then respectfully withdrew.

Huangfu Wuji unfolded it and his expression changed drastically. First, he was terrified, then he was furious, his eyes becoming increasingly sharp, with a hidden murderous intent.

Long Hui asked in a low voice, "Your Majesty, what exactly happened?"

Huangfu Wuji sneered, "Wuying has already found out the mastermind behind the Feixu Restaurant! As for who it is, you can see for yourself!"

Having said that, he handed over the secret report. Long Hui took it with both hands and his expression changed drastically. He froze on the spot for more than ten breaths, then sighed and said, "I never thought it was him..."

Huangfu Wuji gritted his teeth and clenched his fists: "You Cang Shitian! First you killed my brother, and then you poisoned my flesh and blood. I swear I will not rest until I avenge this!"

Long Hui said, "Your Majesty, now that we have found out Cang Shitian's identity, why don't we surround his lair tonight?" Huangfu Wuji remained calm and said, "That fellow has been building his lair for a long time. If I suddenly send troops, it will be difficult to catch him." "A single strike is sure to succeed. Since we've already waited so long, I might as well wait another night. When Cang Shitian enters the palace tomorrow, I'll have him torn to pieces, even executed by slow slicing!"

Bai Lingyu, having also read the secret report, asked, "Father, how many people knew about this operation?"

Huangfu Wuji replied, "To maintain secrecy, I only informed a few of those present. Qiu Baifei was simply ordered to guard outside the Ziwei Palace until I issued the imperial decree; he will only act then. He knows nothing of the plan." To ensure absolute success, the heroes remained in a dark room within the Ziwei Palace that night. On

the auspicious day of ancestor worship, as dawn broke, Huangfu Wuji sat silently, his face grave.

As the bell tolled, palace maids and eunuchs filed in. Officials of etiquette, dressed in wide-sleeved robes and tall hats, carrying golden and jade tablets, respectfully announced, "On this auspicious day for ancestral worship, Your Majesty is respectfully invited to bathe and change!"

Huangfu Wuji slowly opened his eyes, his expression focused and solemn. Supported by palace maids, he straightened up. The pool was already being filled with water; sweet dew from the spiritual spring of Qingshan flowed from the dragon head, like a water dragon spitting pearls, solemn and magnificent.

Huangfu Wuji spread his arms, and palace maids immediately helped him undress, removing his outer robe and inner garment. The king stepped into the pool, immersing himself in the spring water.

After emerging from the pool, palace maids immediately went to dress and comb the emperor's hair, their movements swift and decisive, daring not to be the slightest bit negligent. The entire process was eerily quiet; a heavy, oppressive atmosphere permeated the Ziwei Palace, making everyone afraid to even breathe.

The royal ancestral worship ceremony was a solemn and serious process, allowing no mistakes from beginning to end; otherwise, it would be considered disrespectful to the ancestors. Apart from the officials in charge of ceremonies and the emperor, no one in the Ziwei Palace was allowed to speak until the ceremony concluded.

After donning the golden robes for the ancestral worship, incense was lit. Huangfu Wuji squinted, glancing around the palace out of the corner of his eye, thinking to himself, "The Haotian Sect's spies must have infiltrated with the help of the Haotian Holy Mother. The palace maids and eunuchs here must be their incarnations!"

Thinking this, he became even more composed, slowly closing his eyes and kneeling on the prayer mat to perform a meditation ritual. This act signified cleansing his mind of distractions and bowing to his ancestors with the utmost sincerity.

As the sandalwood incense burned out, a faint, pleasant fragrance filled the room. Huangfu Wuji chuckled to himself, "You scoundrels were overly cautious. You made the poison colorless and odorless, thinking you could get away with it undetected, but little did you know you'd gotten the better of me!"

He remained impassive, proceeding to the next step of the ceremony as instructed by the officials in charge of etiquette.

Holding the Nine Tripod Jade Cup, Huangfu Wuji drank the morning dew in it without hesitation.

"Bathing and changing clothes washes away worldly dust; burning incense calms the mind and sincerity; jade cups filled with dew cleanse the body; the nine tripods protect the nation's eternal legacy!" The master of ceremonies read out the ornate words in a long voice, "The ceremony is complete. Your Majesty, please move to Nine Dragon Mountain and lead your sons and grandsons to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pay homage to your ancestors, to bless our Great Heng for ten thousand generations!"

Suddenly, Huangfu Wuji's expression changed. He slowly extended his palm and gritted his teeth, saying, "I feel slightly unwell. I will rest for a while and catch my breath before proceeding to Nine Dragon Mountain."

The master of ceremonies hurriedly said, "Your Majesty, please take care of your health. This humble servant will go and summon the imperial physician!"

Huangfu Wuji breathed slightly and said, "I know you are loyal to the emperor. There is no need to summon the imperial physician for such a small matter. You may all withdraw and allow me to rest for a while!"

Everyone accepted the decree and left the Ziwei Palace. Several personal maids and Eunuch Wang helped Huangfu Wuji to his bedchamber and helped him take off his boots and lie down on the dragon bed.

Eunuch Wang said in a shrill voice, "You may all leave. I will take care of the Emperor!"

After the palace maids left, Eunuch Wang casually bolted the door, opened the secret door to the inner chamber, and welcomed Long Hui and the others out.

Huangfu Wuji suddenly sat up and laughed, "This time, Cang Shitian still fell for the trap!"

Long Hui cupped his hands and said, "Your Majesty, we must be cautious until the very end. I suggest that in half an hour, Your Majesty summon the imperial physician and pretend to be unwell."

When people feel unwell, they don't usually see a doctor first, but think that they can just endure it. Today is an auspicious day for ancestor worship. According to common sense, Huangfu Wuji will prioritize the ceremony. Summoning the imperial physician would be too troublesome. Therefore, it is only natural that Huangfu Wuji does not summon the imperial physician at first. Then, he will pretend that his illness has worsened, and it would be more reasonable to summon the imperial physician at this time.

This series of actions is enough to make the spies hidden in the shadows believe that Huangfu Wuji has been poisoned.

Half an hour later, the three imperial physicians entered the palace, only to be immediately grabbed by the back of the chest by Long Hui, Bai Lingyu, and Jing Chen, causing them to tremble with fear.

Huangfu Wuji sat up straight and looked at the head physician, saying, "Physician Chen, don't be nervous!"

This physician, surnamed Chen, was the head of the Imperial Medical Academy. Huangfu Wuji, the chief physician, gave Long Hui and the others a look. Long Hui examined the physician's pulse and nodded, saying, "Your Majesty, this person doesn't know martial arts. His meridians and physique are no different from an ordinary person. You can rest assured."

Huangfu Wuji laughed, "Physician Chen, I have a task for you. If you do it well, promotion and honors will be no problem. If you mess it up, I will exterminate your entire family!"

Physician Chen trembled and said, "This humble subject will certainly not fail Your Majesty's trust!"

Huangfu Wuji said, "You do..." "Remember, I am critically ill and will not live much longer. Do you know what to do?"

Physician Chen, though experienced and shrewd, knew how to treat a dying patient based on his decades of medical experience. He told the imperial physician beside him, "Go back to the Imperial Hospital immediately and order someone to fetch a thousand-year-old ginseng and a hundred-year-old lingzhi mushroom. Quickly!"

The imperial physician gave an "oh," and before leaving, Long Hui glared at him fiercely, warning, "Behave yourself and don't talk nonsense. Remember, the Emperor is critically ill!"

Long Hui's eyes were sharp and domineering, enough to frighten even ordinary martial artists, let alone the imperial physician, who was completely terrified.

After he left, Bai Lingyu scolded, "Why did you glare at him? Look how scared you've made him!"

Long Hui laughed, "A little scare will make his panicked expression more realistic and better fool the Haotian Sect's spies."

Eunuch Wang brought over a medicine jar from the side and said, "Imperial Physician Chen, quickly brew the medicine for the Emperor!" Imperial

Physician Chen nodded and immediately ordered another imperial physician to start brewing the medicine. The room was immediately filled with a strong smell of medicine.

Long Hui whispered to Yu Wuhen, "Wuhen, quickly ask Birou how things are at Nine Dragons Mountain?"

Yu Wuhen closed her beautiful eyes and exchanged information with Lin Birou through telepathy, saying, "Lord Long, Senior Sister and Bing'er are secretly watching King Xia. He has been on the mountainside of Nine Dragons Mountain and hasn't made any unusual moves."

Long Hui nodded to Huangfu Wuji, who smiled knowingly, stretched on the dragon throne, and said, "If they haven't returned by noon, then spread the news that I am critically ill."

The smell of medicine in the palace grew stronger, and various life-saving elixirs arrived one after another, but none of them were consumed after being boiled, which pained Long Hui.

Half an hour later, Yu Wuhen whispered in Long Hui's ear, "Senior Sister said that King Xia has already set off."

Long Hui smiled knowingly. Sure enough, the Haotian Sect couldn't hold back any longer. They all thought that Huangfu Wuji was about to die and had begun to act recklessly. Moreover, in order to seize the initiative, Cang Shitian would definitely take control of the palace before the news spread, so he would definitely leave quietly without telling the other members of the royal family.

At this moment, Huangfu Wuji let out a triumphant laugh, his eyes shining brightly as he said with delight, "My brilliant plan this time has been a complete success. They must now think I've been poisoned and am in mortal danger, and they're mobilizing their carriages and horses to rush back, ostensibly to protect me, but in reality to control the situation. They'll be here soon."

After Lin Birou relayed the message, a while later, a secret report came from the hidden passage. Eunuch Wang took it and read, "Your Majesty, the officials who returned with the Prince of Xia are: Grand Censor Jing Guan, Vice Minister of Rites Huang Qing, Vice Minister of War Qi Zifeng, Imperial Academy Minister Wang Cheng, and Grand Chancellor Li..." "Bu Fan, Censor-in-Chief Chen Han, Vice Minister of the Court of Judicial Review Li Jinghua, Censor Dong Ming..."

Long Hui sighed, "Damn it, the Haotian Sect has already planted so many forces in the court!

" Yu Xiuting said, "Thirty years ago, Tie Lie's invasion was actually a key step for the Haotian Sect to disrupt the court and plant its forces!"

Before Eunuch Wang could finish reading, Huangfu Wuji roared, "Before sunset tonight, all these treacherous officials and rebels will have their heads rolled!"

Long Hui breathed a sigh of relief. Although Cang Shitian was already trapped, even a broken ship can be wrecked, and a fierce battle was inevitable.

Huangfu Wuji slowly closed his eyes, a satisfied smile curving his lips, as if he could already see Cang Shitian kneeling dejectedly before him.

A sudden commotion arose outside the palace gates. Long Hui said, "Your Majesty, I will go out to investigate!" Huangfu Wuji nodded and said, "Go, but do not act rashly!"

Long Hui acknowledged, collected his energy, held his breath, and quietly left the Ziwei Palace, hiding in the shadows to observe.

He saw Qiu Baifei facing a group of people outside the Ziwei Palace, the leader of whom was none other than the King of Xia.

King Xia, his face trembling with fat, said, "General Qiu, the Emperor is on the verge of death! It's one thing if you don't go to his aid, but why are you stopping me!"

Qiu Baifei replied, "Your Highness, a few days ago, Prince Qi raised an army in rebellion. I was ordered to strengthen the palace's defenses. The Emperor decreed that no one may enter the Ziwei Palace without imperial permission!"

King Xia stamped his foot, "General Qiu, you're confused! Someone has forged an imperial edict to mislead you. In reality, the Emperor has been kidnapped by treacherous officials and is in grave danger!"

Qiu Baifei said, "Your Highness, you must have evidence. The Emperor is wise and mighty; who could dare offend His Majesty?" King Xia said, "General, it's hard to guard against a traitor within the family. The one who kidnapped the Emperor is surnamed Long." "That brat!"

Qiu Baifei's expression darkened, and he snorted, "Your Highness, you can't say things like that."

King Xia said with a pained expression, "General Qiu, you don't know this, that brat is a spy from the demon race. He's colluding with the Demon Queen, using sorcery to bewitch the Emperor, intending to overthrow our Great Heng Dynasty. If you don't go to save the Emperor, he will truly be doomed!"

He suddenly knelt down, tears streaming down his face, and said, "General, can't you smell it? There's a strong smell of medicine coming from the Ziwei Palace. It's clear that something is wrong with the Emperor. I beg you, please go to the palace and save the Emperor!"

The ministers behind him also knelt down at the same time, kowtowing and weeping, showing their loyalty and devotion, which was heartbreaking.

Qiu Baifei looked troubled and sighed, "Well then, this humble general will accompany you all to the palace to meet the Emperor. If there is truly a demon at work, I, Qiu, will surely execute him without mercy!"

King Xia said gratefully, "Thank you, General! Thank you, General! Daheng is saved!"

"What a bunch of loyal ministers!"

Long Hui cursed inwardly. "Dare to frame me, Cang Shitian! I will definitely rip out your heart and liver and use them to sacrifice to my family!" Long Hui quietly returned to Ziwei Palace and reported to Huangfu Wuji, "Your Majesty, Cang Shitian has bewitched General Qiu and brought a group of henchmen to force his way into the palace."

Huangfu Wuji laughed, "Qiu Baifei is loyal to the Emperor. With such a strong smell of medicine coming from the palace, he has long been worried about my health. Now that Cang Shitian is fanning the flames, he must be extremely anxious and want to come and confirm my safety."

"Cang Shitian, I'm waiting for you!"

Huangfu Wuji laughed loudly, stood up abruptly, and looked extremely happy.

Everyone was excited, eagerly awaiting the moment they would witness Cang Shitian's triumphant victory.

The Haotian Sect would be destroyed today! Long Hui's heart pounded with excitement; his great revenge was about to be achieved. The smiling faces of his family flashed before his eyes: Huang Huan's sly grin, Liu'er's tender, loving face—all these images appeared before him. He silently murmured, "Father, Ah Huang, Liu'er, you will soon rest in peace!"

Huangfu Wuji took a step forward, but his laughter abruptly stopped after just one step. His body swayed, like an old tree branch in a downpour, about to collapse. Eunuch

Wang was startled and quickly supported him, exclaiming, "Your Majesty! Your Majesty!"

Huangfu Wuji made a strange gurgling sound from his throat, his eyes rolled back, and he coughed up several mouthfuls of black blood, foul-smelling and pungent.

Long Hui rushed forward, grasping the Emperor's wrist to check his pulse. Yu Xiuting and the three sects' innate experts immediately surrounded him, checking his vital energy.

The five innate masters simultaneously revealed expressions of astonishment and disbelief. Huangfu Wuji's life force was already exhausted, and the out-of-control true energy was constantly destroying and crushing his weak internal organs and meridians, clearly a sign that death was imminent.

Long Hui placed his palm on Huangfu Wuji's back, continuously channeling true energy into his body, trying his best to stimulate his life force; Yu Xiuting focused her qi with her sword fingers, pressing on Huangfu Wuji's Tanzhong acupoint, using true energy to protect his heart meridian; Zong Yixiao and Jingchen, a Confucian and Taoist master, joined forces, holding Huangfu Wuji's left and right wrists respectively, while Lilou Bodhisattva pressed against his dantian. The three sects cooperated, attempting to control and gather the vast and chaotic acquired true energy.

Eunuch Wang hurriedly urged, "Old Chen, hurry up and prepare ginseng soup for the Emperor!"

Two imperial physicians immediately brought over a thousand-person ginseng soup, which Bai Lingyu took, pried open Huangfu Wuji's lips, and poured into him.

Five streams of pure innate true energy, combined with the thousand-year-old ginseng, finally managed to keep Huangfu Wuji clinging to life. He regained consciousness, his trembling hands gripping Long Hui and Bai Lingyu tightly, gasping for breath, "I'm dying! Find a way to rescue Zheng'er, escape the capital immediately, and then turn back to fight the Haotian Sect to the death! Lingyu, your father is sorry for you and your mother..."

His eyes rolled back, and he breathed his last, his eyes remaining open, a testament to his unwillingness to have failed so drastically, and his deep concern for his only remaining children.

Bai Lingyu, though she hated his ruthlessness, felt a chill run through her body, a knife-like pain piercing her heart. Tears blurred her vision, and though she had a thousand words to say, she couldn't utter them. After a long silence, she could only manage two sobbing words: "Father..."

Huangfu Wuji had never been able to overcome this life-or-death hurdle, or rather, his insistence on the supremacy of imperial power meant he had no time to cultivate true energy. This unstable factor erupted at this crucial moment.

A chill ran through everyone. At the moment of the emperor's death, they not only turned victory into defeat, but were also falsely accused of regicide and rebellion. The situation had taken a sharp turn for the worse. Cang Shitian had not only survived the brink of defeat, but also possessed the absolute power to kill them.

"Your Majesty! Your Majesty!"

Qiu Baifei's urgent voice came from outside the door. Long Hui knew that everything was doomed. With every step Cang Shitian, disguised as the King of Xia, took, death drew ever closer.

In the critical moment, Yu Xiuting whispered, "Escape through the secret passage immediately! We'll meet at the North Gate!"

Bai Lingyu gritted her teeth, wiped away her tears, and said, "You go first, I'll hold them off!"

Long Hui said, "Little Yu'er, I'll go with you!"

Bai Lingyu said, "No, Cang Shitian has already framed you. Going out now will only give them ammunition."

Long Hui said, "Don't worry, I'll just protect you from the shadows. I won't show myself unless absolutely necessary."

Yu Xiuting nodded and said, "Long Hui is absolutely right. Even if you're surrounded, he can still carry you out of the palace, and Cang Shitian won't dare to easily pursue you in the air. It's actually safer that way."

Every advantage has its disadvantages. Cang Shitian, using some unknown method, impersonated the Xia King, so that he could rightfully usurp the throne once Huangfu Wuji died. However, he was, after all, the Xia King Huangfu Tengyun, and would never dare to reveal his martial arts in public. Yu Xiuting saw this, which is why she boldly supported Long Hui staying.

Long Hui quickly regained his composure and said, "We have five innate masters here. Although we can't destroy the entire Imperial Guard, we're more than enough to escape!"

After calming Bai Lingyu down, Long Hui said, "Wuhen, immediately notify Birou to light the Purple Fire Smoke and summon the Azure Dragon Army into the city!"

Yu Wuhen nodded and did as instructed.

Long Hui originally wanted to impersonate Huangfu Wuji to buy time, but he didn't know Huangfu Wuji's demeanor and movements, and rashly changing his appearance would only cause more trouble, so he abandoned the idea.

After opening the secret passage, Jingchen and Lilou, out of compassion, also took the two imperial physicians with them. However, Eunuch Wang stayed behind: "Princess, let this old servant accompany you!"

Before Bai Lingyu could object, hurried footsteps reached the door.

Her jade-like face darkened, and she abruptly pushed open the door, facing the group of rebellious officials threatening to seize power, she snapped, "What's all this noise? Don't you know His Majesty is resting?"

The King of Xia ignored Bai Lingyu and shouted, "Where did this lowly servant come from, daring to speak to me like that!"

At this moment, Eunuch Wang came out and said, "King of Xia, this is the First Princess, personally appointed by His Majesty as the Loyal and Brave Protector of the Nation!"

Qiu Baifei cupped his hands and said, "Your Highness, may I ask if His Majesty is in good health?"

Bai Lingyu said, "My father caught a slight cold and has fallen asleep after taking the medicine prescribed by the imperial physicians. Are you all making such a racket to disturb his rest?"

The King of Xia pointed at Bai Lingyu and said, "You girl, you're talking nonsense! His Majesty is clearly being held hostage by a sorcerer, yet you're twisting the truth!" "Oh, I see. You must resent the Emperor because of your mother's affair, and conspired with your lover and demons to murder him."

Bai Lingyu blushed with anger and shouted, "You fat pig, don't make false accusations! You know perfectly well who is plotting against you!"

King Xia smiled insincerely and snorted coldly, "General Qiu, you are now in charge of the palace's security. You don't need me to remind you what to do, do you?"

Qiu Baifei asked, "Your Highness, this humble general only wants to confirm the Emperor's safety. Please be lenient!"

Bai Lingyu cried out, "General Qiu, you must not believe what this fat man says. He is not King Xia at all. He is Cang Shitian in disguise!"

Qiu Baifei instinctively stared at King Xia.

King Xia said calmly, "General Qiu, do you really believe such absurd claims?"

Qiu Baifei stepped forward and said, "Princess, please allow me to see His Majesty. As long as His Majesty is in good health, I am willing to accept any punishment from you!"

Bai Lingyu gritted her teeth and said, "Qiu Baifei, you don't believe me?"

Eunuch Wang also said, "General Qiu, I have served His Majesty since childhood. I can attest that everything the princess said is true. That King Xia is actually an evil god in disguise!"

King Xia sneered, "How ridiculous! A mere eunuch dares to spout nonsense and frame me!" "Your Majesty!"

Eunuch Wang stared at Qiu Baifei and said, "General Qiu, don't you even believe what I say?"

Qiu Baifei said, word by word, "I only believe the facts. I want to see the Emperor!"

Just then, a series of cries were heard. Consort Su walked out with tears streaming down her face, sobbing, "General Qiu, I personally heard Princess Lingyu conspiring with General Long to poison the Emperor..."

Before she could finish, she burst into tears again, saying that after Long Hui poisoned the Emperor, he planned to usurp the throne and kill loyal officials. Her words were so elaborate that it was hard to tell what was true and what was false.

Bai Lingyu felt strange: "This vile woman was clearly unsealed by my sister, so why does she still act like an ordinary person?"

Just then, Consort Su suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood, her body trembling uncontrollably, as if she had been overcome with rage.

King Xia hurriedly said, "Someone, quickly help the Empress to rest!"

Several palace maids immediately helped Consort Su away from the Ziwei Palace.

Bai Lingyu suddenly realized that Cang Shitian must have once again used an extreme method to temporarily seal Consort Su's true energy, allowing her to "testify" as a weak woman. The blood she had just swallowed was a sign that she was about to be exposed, so the Xia King had cleverly arranged for Consort Su to rest. Everything he did was flawless.

Qiu Baifei's face grew even more gloomy after hearing this. Consort Su held a high position and was the emperor's bedmate; with her testimony, it was extremely credible.

Seeing that Qiu Baifei was beginning to believe him, King Xia continued, "His Majesty summoned the high-ranking members of the three religions, but they have not yet shown themselves. This means that His Majesty has been poisoned, and the culprits are not only Long Hui and the demon race, but also these self-proclaimed righteous masters of the three religions!"

Qiu Baifei asked, "Is this true?"

King Xia replied, "Absolutely true. Back then, Kong Xiu joined forces with the demon race and Long Hui to deal with the Haotian Sect! On the way to the palace just now, I saw the two heads of the Confucian Yujuan Tower and Yunhan Academy. General, you only need to ask them for a talk to find out the truth!"

Qiu Baifei ordered someone to find Jin Ziyi and Yin Fangxi and asked, "Both of you, may I ask if Pavilion Master Zong Yixiao has entered the Ziwei Palace?"

Yin Fangxi nodded and said, "That's right."

The two were unaware of Huangfu Wuji's overall plan, only knowing that they were discussing the encirclement and suppression of the Haotian Sect.

Qiu Baifei asked, "Why hasn't Pavilion Master Zong come out yet?"

Jin Ziyi, being astute, saw through the commotion and replied, "His Majesty summoned Zong Yixiao to the palace to discuss the annihilation of the Haotian Sect. As for why he hasn't shown up yet, I, Jin, am not aware!"

King Xia angrily retorted, "What do you mean you are not aware! You bunch of poor scholars are clearly conspiring with demons to murder His Majesty!"

Jin Ziyi's face darkened, and she snorted, "King Xia, you can eat whatever you want, but you can't say whatever you want. We Confucian scholars are upright and honorable; how could we commit such an unrighteous act!"

King Xia sneered, "Back then, your sect leader joined forces with the demon race to deal with Cang Shitian. He used any means necessary to achieve his goal and still dared to call himself benevolent and righteous! It seems you two are also in cahoots with Zong Yixiao; you are all treacherous officials and collaborators!"

Qiu Baifei suppressed his grief and anger and said, "Your Highness, why is it so noisy outside? Why hasn't His Majesty shown up yet?"

Bai Lingyu was speechless for a moment.

Enraged, Qiu Baifei laughed coldly, "So, what a loyal and valiant princess! She's nothing but a disloyal and unfilial wretch, conspiring with outsiders to murder her own father! Guards, seize her!"

The imperial guards and palace attendants immediately surrounded Bai Lingyu and Eunuch Wang.

King Xia forced tears to his eyes and shouted excitedly, "All guards, heed my command! Anyone who follows me in eliminating the traitors will be richly rewarded!"

Bai Lingyu and the others felt a chill run down their spines as they watched the imperial guards and palace attendants who had initially stood on their side being incited by King Xia to defect to the enemy. In the end, only she, Eunuch Wang, and Long Hui remained.

Jin Ziyi immediately distanced herself from Zong Yixiao, saying, "I was unaware of Zong Yixiao's actions. If we had known of his treacherous ambitions earlier, His Majesty wouldn't have suffered this calamity."

Qiu Baifei sneered, "Hindsight is always better than acting!"

Jin Ziyi said, "To prove our innocence, we are willing to assist the general in capturing the rebels!"

Qiu Baifei snorted, "Who knows if you're with him? Let's capture them first!"

A group of guards immediately surrounded the two Confucian scholars. The King of Xia's eyes lit up, and he said appropriately, "General Qiu, this group of rebels is extremely skilled in martial arts, and they might even have the Valley Master of Tianjian Valley backing them up. Ordinary soldiers might not be able to handle them. Since the leaders of the two Confucian schools have volunteered, why not let them join? We can also see if they are truly innocent!"

Having navigated the treacherous waters of court for decades, Eunuch Wang was acutely aware of King Xia's tricks. He was trying to win over Jin Ziyi and Yin Fangxi on the last minute; these two had never been on good terms with Zong Yixiao, and it would be a miracle if they didn't defect in this situation! Sure enough, the two thanked him and then simultaneously attacked, swiftly lunging at Bai Lingyu and Eunuch Wang.

Knowing a fierce battle was inevitable, Bai Lingyu immediately dodged to the left, grabbing two soldiers and throwing them at Jin Ziyi. Jin Ziyi used a circular palm strike, gently deflecting the two soldiers.

Taking advantage of this brief opening, Bai Lingyu drew his three-fold spear and unleashed the move "Fierce Dragon Emerging from the Gate," thrusting the spear forward. The powerful force caused the spear to rub against the air, turning it red-hot.

Jin Ziyi felt a wave of intense heat wash over her. Without hesitation, she flicked her scholar's robe, channeling her Purple Yang Mystic Art into her sleeve, creating a shield that forcefully blocked Bai Lingyu's spear thrust.

On the other side, Yin Fangxi swept a palm towards Eunuch Wang. Having served Huangfu Wuji for decades, Eunuch Wang possessed extraordinary cultivation. He wielded the ultimate technique "Free and Unfettered Order" with unparalleled skill, his movements elusive and his steps as swift as a ghost. Although Yin Fangxi had innate talent, he found it difficult to strike this strange eunuch in a short time.

Qiu Baifei immediately ordered the Imperial Guards to rush towards the two, unleashing spears and swords simultaneously. At this critical moment, a dragon's roar suddenly echoed from the sky. Long Hui powerfully joined the battle, stomping heavily on the ground as soon as he appeared. His Earth-Defending True Essence surged forth, and the surrounding Imperial Guards felt as if the ground beneath their feet had become a turbulent ocean, swaying and unable to maintain their balance, all falling to the side.

Qiu Baifei roared, "You traitor, you dare show yourself? Seize him!"

Long Hui snatched a spear, used it with a fierce thrust, and swept aside the surrounding soldiers, shouting, "You, surnamed Qiu, the real rebels are standing right next to you, and you can't even see them? Have your eyes been eaten by dogs?!"

Xia Wang's chubby face twitched a few times, and he cried out, "General Qiu, don't listen to his attempts to sow discord!" Qiu Baifei

said, "Your Highness, please rest assured, I am not that stupid!"

Long Hui was too lazy to waste words with him, and used a move called "Halberd Frenzy," his powerful and sweeping moves carving a bloody path through the enemy lines. He immediately turned around, grabbed Bai Lingyu and Eunuch Wang, and flew into the sky. When

they were halfway up, Eunuch Wang warned, "General Long, there are anti-aircraft armored thunder cannons in the palace. Be very careful!"

Long Hui nodded. He had witnessed the power of these armored thunder cannons firsthand; the experts of the Aoniao Clan had been decimated by them.

Just then, a burst of purple light erupted behind them, and Yin Fangxi flew after them.

Long Hui inwardly cried out in alarm. As the saying goes, even the wisest can make a mistake. Yu Xiuting had calculated that Cang Shitian wouldn't dare to pursue, but she had overlooked Yin Fangxi, a master of the Innate Realm.

"Traitor, where do you think you're going!"

Yin Fangxi unleashed a palm strike from afar, his powerful Purple Yang True Qi rushing straight towards Long Hui's back.

With two men with him, Long Hui couldn't turn around to retaliate and could only dodge.

Seeing that Long Hui couldn't fight back, Yin Fangxi became even more unrestrained, his palms rising and falling, relentlessly pressing forward.

After several dodges, Yin Fangxi gradually figured out Long Hui's dodging routes, and his palm strikes became more targeted, sometimes elusive, sometimes heavy, containing both direct attacks and tricky, unpredictable moves. Long Hui felt overwhelmed and was forced to flee for his life.

Just then, several streaks of fire shot towards them. Upon closer inspection, they turned out to be sharp, cone-shaped steel spikes. Propelled by the high-powered gunpowder, the spikes moved like thunderbolts, unstoppable. These were the Ironclad Divine Thunder Cannons launched from below the palace.

Yin Fangxi smiled smugly and struck again with a palm, aiming straight for Long Hui's vital point at the back of his heart.

At this critical moment, a seven-colored divine light suddenly appeared in the sky, instantly drawing away the Ironclad Divine Thunder Cannons. Then, the Luanque spread its eight wings and suddenly launched the

Ironclad Divine Thunder Cannons towards Yin Fangxi. Forced into a corner, Yin Fangxi could only deflect the Ironclad Divine Thunder Cannons with his palm. The collision of his Purple Yang True Qi with the Ironclad Divine Thunder Cannons immediately caused a massive explosion.
