Alibuda Chronicles Part 1: Volume 5, Chapter 6

Chapter Six: The Unrivaled Bear

. Katrina's gaze was extremely unfriendly, especially after I bound her with my belt and gagged her. Her eyes seemed to want to tear me to pieces. To avoid eye contact, I knocked her unconscious.

"Don't look at me like that. You can't escape anyway. Using me to escape isn't too much to ask, is it?"

I channeled the inner force of my Beast King Fist, letting a unique, pungent scent of wild beasts envelop my body. Combined with the effect of my stone hat, the group of bear-men who rushed over didn't notice anything amiss.

These bear-men, each with a bear's head and a beast's body, covered in stiff fur, were exactly like standing bears, only with longer and more powerful limbs. This was probably the evolution from beast to beastman.

They were overjoyed to see me capture the Feather Clan chieftain, praising me as a "heroic hero, truly worthy of being called a strongman among my compatriots." The strange grammar made my head spin, so I humbly explained that I was just lucky; I had been hunting her with a group of people, all my companions had perished, and she had collapsed from exhaustion, so I just happened to capture her. I dared not claim credit.

In the human world, after I said this, these orcs would have been overjoyed to take Katrina away and claim the credit for capturing the Feather Clan chieftain. However, in Youli, the rules seemed different. The bear-men all looked indifferent, saying that heroes and strongmen should be upright and honorable, and even if they couldn't defy fate in the end, they should live without shame and would never do such a thing.

Honestly, since entering the Southern Barbarian Lands, I still don't understand what "defying fate" really means, or why everyone likes to use it so much. But if this continued, I wouldn't have a chance to escape, so I tried my best to decline.

Finally, a bear-man general arrived. From the bear-men's address of him as Young Clan Leader, I knew he was the highest leader of the bear clan in this siege of the Feather Clan.

"Brother, you've done a great service this time! All four beast clans aimed to capture her alive. This woman's subordinates are fierce; even the Tiger Clan's Young Master, Agubuda, died at her hands. I never expected Heaven to bless our clan; the Feather Clan's leader ultimately fell into our bear clan's hands, hahaha!"

The young bear-man seemed very pleased, patting my shoulder hard, almost dislocating it.

"I will reward you handsomely as a reward for your great service, but… which squad are you in? Why do I feel like I've seen you before, but I can't remember your unit number?"

The young bear-man's gaze sharpened, almost radiating ferocity. Many people have experienced the ferocity of a thug's gaze, but facing a bear-man with such a menacing look… believe me, it feels like half your head is already in his mouth.

"This...this...I'm new here, it's understandable that you don't recognize me..."

The more I tried to explain, the more incoherent I became, even the bear-men around me were giving me suspicious looks. If I didn't quickly come up with a way to explain, I'd have to fight my way out with my Beast King Fist.

Luckily, a sudden inspiration struck me.

"Actually, I just escaped from the Kingdom of Alibuda last month, wandering back to my homeland. Because I was once a slave to humans, my status was lowly, and I wasn't chosen to participate in this operation, which I resent. We Behemoth warriors are all top-notch heroes from the mountains. Since we are destined to embark on the path of the strong, how can I be left out of this scene of hunting down these lowly winged people?"

Perhaps because I spoke so passionately, the surrounding bear people nodded in agreement, and even the young bear chieftain in front of me showed a hint of appreciation, his hostility greatly reduced, and asked, "So why did you come here alone..."

"Because I want to defy the heavens!"

I shouted, "The purpose of the strong in this world is to fight, so of course I'm here to annihilate the enemy and let these unworthy lowly people witness the might of our Behemoth Bear Clan."

On the surface, I spoke with great indignation, but actually... forgive me, could someone please tell me what this "defying the heavens" really is? I'm rambling on and on, and I'm so scared.

"Good! Truly a tough guy. With a man like this in our tribe, we'll one day dominate the Southern Barbarians and make the other beast tribes dare not look down on us."

Fortunately, this rambling, the meaning of which I myself didn't understand, worked. The young bear tribe leader seemed to appreciate me and ordered me to go back with him; he wanted to reward me for my military merit.

Without another word, we grabbed the tightly bound Katrina and went back to the bear tribe's camp.

"Brother, what's your name?"

"Um, Bu Er Xiong."

"A very peculiar name."

The young bear tribe leader seemed surprised by the name I had made up on the spot. "Is there a story behind it?"

"No story, but if I had to say... it's probably to commemorate an old friend of mine named Xiao Dingdang."

After giving my name, on the way back to camp, through conversation, I roughly understood some of the bear tribe's culture. All bear people are surnamed "Behemoth," using their own tribal name as their surname, and then named according to their fur color. They are usually addressed by their given names.

Among the bear clan, the polar bear is often considered the most talented and strongest; the others are less so, but the worst is the grizzly bear—lacking strength and cowardice, and thus looked down upon. The young master before me is a polar bear, and when I asked the bear-men around me his name, this is what they told me:

"White-Blue Bear."

From their words, I learned that the tacit understanding between the four major beast clans in their attack on the Feather Clan wasn't as strong as we had imagined. Each of the four clans had its own needs and harbored mutual suspicion, as evidenced by the unfriendly tone the bear-men used when mentioning the other clans.

If it weren't for the united front under the name of the Fire Worship Cult, and the reverence for the Martial Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts that bound the four clans together, they would likely have been fighting each other to the death before even reaching this point. Especially the snake clan—the tiger, leopard, and bear clans all held a deep grudge against them.

Beast magic was originally created for women, and in this respect, the Serpent Clan naturally had a significant advantage, producing numerous Beast Magic Masters. Priests in the Fire Worship Cult were almost all female, wielding considerable power. This was particularly infuriating to the other three clans. In the extremely patriarchal and closed environment of the Southern Barbarians, the beastmen already held no liking for capable women. When the Feathered Clan was powerful, they were helpless; now that the Feathered Clan was weak, the Serpent Clan was riding roughshod over them. How could these beastmen be content? Furthermore, the Serpent Clan's secretive and clandestine nature made them even more repulsive.

For example, in this recent campaign, the Tiger, Bear, and Leopard Clans' objective was simply to capture as many Feathered Clan female prisoners as possible to serve as slaves or camp prostitutes, but the Serpent Clan seemed to have ulterior motives, the purpose of which remained unknown.

We were completely unaware of this information beforehand; if we had, we would certainly have had many better strategies for dealing with the enemy. But I had no time to think about that now, because being among these beastmen, I was beginning to worry about a major crisis that would expose my identity.

The crucial factors that allow me to conceal my identity are the Stone Hat and the Beast King Fist. The Stone Hat's effectiveness is likely guaranteed, but the Beast King Fist is not. The Beast King Fist isn't a panacea for longevity; once activated, it begins to deplete one's internal energy. If I'm to remain with these orcs without finding a way to escape, wouldn't I be forced to continuously use the Beast King Fist? How much internal energy can I sustain in this indefinitely?

If the Beast King Fist can't sustain me any longer, and I can't shake off these bear-men, then…

Actually, my original plan wasn't this. After handing Katrina over to the orcs, I intended to leave and then, using these two magical items, infiltrate the orc camp to see if I could do anything. However, being with these bear-men, while I could successfully infiltrate, I would be closely watched, lacking freedom of movement and constantly in danger of my identity being exposed.

Thinking further was pointless; I followed the bear-men back to the orc camp.

The tiger, leopard, and bear tribes were all stationed in their main camps, but the camps were far apart, clearly indicating an unfriendly atmosphere. The snake tribe had strange habits and did not live in groups. They were originally stationed in a cave five miles away, but after breaching the city, they had moved to the Skeva Song Tower City.

This greatly displeased the other beast tribes, who believed that the snake tribe wanted to monopolize the spoils of war. Currently, the various factions were in a state of turmoil. Upon hearing about this, Bai Lan Xiong instructed us to imprison Katrina and immediately went to attend the three-tribe meeting.

"Young Master is going to a meeting, so what are we going to do?"

"The purpose of the war was to seize women. Now that the war is over, it's time to enjoy ourselves."

The bear-man beside me answered me like this. Although it felt rather strange to hear the bear-man use the word "women," it was something I understood, and I didn't want to nitpick his words too much.

I had heard Mao Yan'an mention the social system of the beast tribes before. Unless they are tribes with only women, or only women with intelligence, like the Feathered Clan or the Serpent Clan, the various beast tribes of the Southern Barbarians are absolutely male-dominated. This is because, unless they master beast magic, beast women are naturally no match for men in terms of physical strength and combat. In this jungle world that highly reveres martial prowess, such a social system is quite normal.

To demonstrate personal martial prowess, the number of wives, concubines, and servants in a household becomes an indicator of a beastman's strength. For example, Bai Lanxiong, although not yet the tribal chief, already has thirteen concubines and over a hundred female slaves of various races, making him quite the lustful "bear."

At this time, the overall war had ended. The Feathered Clan was fortunate; perhaps Ah Xue's heroic act disrupted the encirclement, allowing forty percent of them to escape, prompting the enraged beastman alliance to launch a full-scale manhunt. Two or three tenths died in battle, and the rest were all captured and disposed of by their respective tribes.

They didn't need to tell me; I saw it all clearly myself. These orcs, who prioritized reproduction and feeding above all else, couldn't wait to bring their captives back to their tribe; they were already eager to enjoy the spoils of war.

The bear-men formed a large circle around their tents, concentrating all the captured winged female warriors in the center. Those with more serious injuries were sent for medical treatment. This wasn't because the bear-men were particularly kind, but because they had basic values and didn't want to kill these hard-won female slaves after only a few uses. In short, the large-scale

mating scene in the center was indeed spectacular. I really wanted to leave immediately and find a place to hide. It wasn't that I was afraid of the awkward situation, but because the Beast King Fist was really draining of internal energy, and my martial arts weren't that great. After holding on for so long, I was already starting to feel dizzy and lightheaded. Unfortunately, I was caught as soon as I tried to slip away.

"Brother Bu Er Xiong, look at this scene, isn't it amazing? This is the result of everyone's hard work!"

The bear-man next to me patted my shoulder, saying proudly.

The scene before them was indeed spectacular. Hundreds of winged female warriors were forcibly stripped of their clothing, their hands bound behind their backs, and regardless of their injuries, buckets of cold water were poured over their heads to wash away the blood and grime, revealing their naked, muscular bodies.

Piercing screams filled the air, but that was only the beginning. The winged female warriors were stripped naked, their hands chained behind their backs, and led to hastily made triangular wooden frames. They were forced to lie prone on these frames, their waists secured to the frames with chains, their upper bodies lowered, their bare, snow-white buttocks raised high. Once they were confirmed unable to move, they watched helplessly as the bear-men pulled down their hip armor, revealing their massive, arm-like genitals, and pounced on them.

Among these female prisoners, there were naturally many familiar faces. A female warrior who often served alongside Huang Ying, I think her name was Hong Li, was stripped naked like a large white sheep, her arms bound behind her back. A bear-man, twice and a half her size, was pinned down on top of her, thrusting wildly downwards.

"No...ah...wooo...no, don't..."

How could a normal woman's body withstand such humiliation with a beast-like cannon almost as thick as a human fist? As the bear-man entered her, Hong Li resisted violently, screaming loudly and twisting her snow-white flesh desperately.

However, these resistances were completely meaningless in this situation. The bear-man roared with excitement, his claws gripping Hong Li's pink buttocks tightly. His hairy lower body felt like it was on fire as he thrust powerfully and relentlessly, wantonly venting his bestiality on this female body.

"No...no! No!ah..."

At first, Hong Li struggled desperately. The fierce resistance left vivid bloodstains on her firm, jade-like buttocks from the bear's claws, but soon the bear-men's violence gained the upper hand. Her cries grew fainter, and her body slumped weakly against the wooden frame. As the bear-men behind her satisfied their lust, another, who had been waiting for a long time, pounced.

Similar scenes played out repeatedly before my eyes. Each wooden frame held a suffering winged female warrior, with at least three bear-men lining up behind them, taking turns raping these prisoners who would later be branded and forced into lifelong slavery.

Leaving aside the bear-men's bodies, the row of white, shapely buttocks was quite a sight.

I didn't want to comment, because war is inherently a matter of the strong preying on the weak. If the winged tribe had won, I believe they wouldn't have given the bear tribe a way out. Now that the bear tribe had won, they were enjoying their spoils—that was all.

In my military career, I had seen many similar scenes, but this was the first time I had witnessed something so spectacular. At least these orcs, despite their poor skills and reckless charging, had one advantage… they valued the lives of female prisoners. Whenever a Feather Clan female warrior was on the verge of death, they would immediately stop, unlike humans who had a habit of torturing and killing female prisoners for pleasure.

“You guys play, I want to rest, is that alright?” I could

n't stay any longer; my dantian was gradually emptying, and I was starting to feel short of breath and palpitations—signs of insufficient internal energy. If I exposed myself here and was surrounded and beaten by these thousand bear-men, it wouldn't be a joke.

“Brother Bu Er Xiong, leaving like this is too boring. You've done a great service; the young master just instructed that you be well rewarded.”

“What kind of reward?”

“What are you pretending for? According to clan rules, every warrior can enjoy their prisoners first. You captured the Feather Clan chief, and the young master instructed that she's yours for the whole day.”

“What?”

Before I could even speak, these bear-men, instead of enjoying the women, escorted me towards a luxurious tent.

All the way, my mind was still a blur. I was worried about running out of internal energy and revealing my true form, but I also couldn't quite believe what was about to happen. That White Orchid Bear was really being so generous?

Suddenly, something occurred to me. I wondered if Katrina had woken up yet? I wondered how effective the stone hat was? What if Katrina started yelling and accused me of betraying her?

Unable to find answers to either question, I had no choice but to steel myself, lift the curtain of the magnificent tent, and go inside.

The group of bear-men who wanted to follow me were blocked at the door by me. After much persuasion, they finally agreed to let me in alone.

"Brother Bu Er Xiong, do a good job! If you can get the Great Feather Clan Chief pregnant in one go and give birth to a little strong bear, you'll have a powerful descendant!"

These bear-men seemed to consider the achievement of having a descendant a victory. Although each of them gave me a lewd gesture as encouragement as they left, their wide smiles suggested the blessing was quite sincere.

I entered the tent and saw a large tiger-skin carpet, red fur with black spots, clearly very luxurious. Four lamps were lit around it with pine resin, and my spoils were placed in the center of the tent.

Seeing the scene before me, I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, because Katrina had her back to me and couldn't see my face. However, looking at

her fair and delicate body, as pure as jade, in the flickering firelight, my heart began to pound again. I dared not be careless, and before Katrina could realize who I was, I immediately rushed forward and gently covered her eyes with a belt.

"Who? Who are you?"

Katrina cried out when her vision was suddenly blocked. I ignored her, focusing instead on the six chains binding her.

Sure enough, just as I had heard, although the orcs didn't know magic, they had developed special sealing techniques against beast magic. These chains alone would be fine for restraining wild beasts, but against a master of beast magic, it was utterly impossible. Once Katrina regained her strength and summoned her fiery eagle, although she might not be able to escape, breaking these bonds would be a piece of cake.

Therefore, the Zoroastrianism used "insect bodies"—a kind of venomous insect with spiritual properties. Once placed on the skin, it would automatically burrow under the skin, paralyzing the meridians and weakening the limbs. Higher-level insect bodies possessed various transformative effects; after entering the body, they could even seal magic power, and were called "Gu." It was said that insect bodies that had become "Gu" only had some tattoo-like markings on their surface after entering the body. However, looking at Katrina's wrist pulse points, the traces of insect bodies were clearly visible, resembling two centipedes, faintly glowing with a green light, which was chilling. It seemed the Bear Clan didn't have any experts in creating insect bodies, so they just used some low-grade ones temporarily.

Since I didn't need to worry about her suddenly using beast magic to attack, and her hands and feet were firmly bound by chains, I felt relieved. A surge of warmth welled up in my heart, and I couldn't help but reach out and gently stroke this former Feather Clan chief.

"Ah…"

Unable to see, but sensing a warm hand, Katrina still gasped in surprise.

The scenery was indeed captivating, but I stopped at that moment. On one hand, I was wary of the orcs' keen sense of smell. Even with a tent between us, I dared not unleash my Beast King Fist. My legs were so weak from constantly circulating my inner energy that I almost collapsed.

On the other hand, I was genuinely hesitant. Since arriving in the Feathered Clan, Katrina hadn't treated us badly. While she hadn't shown us any special treatment, she had always been courteous. It wouldn't make sense to kick her while she was down.

Of course, it was also funny to think about it. When did I start considering such things? Was it reasonable to leave a beauty out of one's sight?

"Is it... Blue Eagle?"

Katrina turned her head slightly and uttered my alias. Honestly, I wasn't surprised. Normally, an orc would start working as soon as they entered the tent and then fall asleep immediately. Why would they be so leisurely like me? Besides, there was no one else besides me who needed to blindfold her.

But if she guessed it was me, why was her tone so calm? This was really strange, because if she started shouting, I definitely wouldn't be able to escape.

"You don't need to rush to cover my mouth. I won't betray you, just like you didn't betray me..."

Even this action caught her off guard. I could only put down the sock in my hand and say, "Why do you say that? I caused you to be captured. You should hate me, right?"

"Even without you, I couldn't have escaped. Being captured like this, without any internal or external injuries, actually makes it easier to find a chance to escape. Is that why you helped me like that?"

"Helped? The clan leader really flatters me."

I sneered, "There are so many bear-men in this camp. Everyone will have their turn with you later. Even if it's not tonight, it will be this month. After the bear clan finishes their turn, they might exchange you for prisoners with the other clans. At most, within half a year, all four major beast clans of the Southern Barbarians will have a chance to have their turn with you. Is that considered helping? The Feather Clan is really magnanimous."

"Since I was destined to fall into the enemy's hands, I wasn't naive enough to think I could preserve my chastity this way. Every member of the Feather Clan was prepared beforehand to endure any humiliation, to fight to survive, and to look forward to the day the Feather Clan would rise again..."

Bound to the iron frame, head bowed, Katrina's voice wasn't loud, but every word she spoke was resolute, striking coldly at the heart. "So, if you have a target of hatred in your heart, humiliation is more bearable, and you have the will to survive. Is that why you want me to hate you?"

If, up until now, I had held any contempt for this Feather Clan chieftain who was indecisive and lacked talent, all of that vanished at this moment.

I really didn't expect that she could guess my intentions so accurately. These were things that no one would understand even if I explained them, yet she could say them so calmly and eloquently. This was truly...

"Why do you think that way?"

"Because... we should be the same kind of people."
