An imperfect first attempt

With trepidation, my wife and I headed to the agreed-upon meeting place. I imagined the awkward moment would be upon meeting, but it wasn't. The meeting and conversation were very natural. Perhaps because it was our first time, my wife was a little shy and didn't speak much, making me a bit reserved as well. The moment we'd been waiting for finally arrived. Maybe we hadn't talked enough, maybe my wife lacked confidence, or maybe the environment and atmosphere didn't meet our expectations, or perhaps my wife wasn't my type. After some effort, I couldn't lift my head, making the situation incredibly awkward. Seeing my wife's expectant expression, I had to take the initiative myself, ending up as a spectator. Although the result was somewhat disappointing, I'm grateful for my sincerity. An imperfect start can have many causes; everything has a first time, and awkward situations due to inexperience are inevitable. However, we boldly tried, which is a good start and will add a touch of warmth and trust to our future life together.
