Is it too much to let your wife sleep with your friend?

I want to let my friend have sex with my wife once. I've mentioned it to her before, and she initially agreed, but then changed her mind. I'm thinking of conspiring with my friend to take my wife to a hotel and let him into the room while she's showering. Is this appropriate? Is it too much to ask?
