Good things come to those who wait.

I got up early this morning wanting to write down what happened yesterday. It's not to brag; it's just some of my honest feelings. It's also a record of some things I've encountered in this circle.

We've known this couple for about a month, at a couples' gathering. We've attended five couples' gatherings so far, almost weekly. We met them at the second one. They were significantly older than us. However, there were no communication barriers or discomfort. We chatted quite enthusiastically in a group chat.

The wife wasn't the talkative type; she seemed a bit reserved.
I got along better with the husband. I'm someone who needs emotional connection, both mentally and physically, to feel comfortable with someone. If someone immediately wants to have sex with me or asks if I want to hook up without any emotional exchange, I feel nothing. It's a no-go.

Good things always take time. My husband said that in any relationship, the most important thing isn't how others treat us, but whether we consider each other's feelings when we're doing it. That's absolutely true.

The four of us interacted quite a bit at our first gathering. The other person seemed to like us too. They happened to be sitting right next to us. The room for the gathering was quite small. There were about ten couples, and not enough seats. We had to sit thigh to thigh. It was our first meeting, and we all felt a little awkward. Later, the other person's husband said that when he realized we were practically inseparable on our first meeting, he knew something was going on. Sometimes, it's these subtle feelings that lead to things happening.

Because we interacted a lot in our group chat, our relationship was quickly heating up. Last Sunday, we went to their house. I've been feeling down lately, so I had a few too many drinks with her husband. I got a little out of control. I even had my period, but it was almost over, so I drank a few more. In the end, her husband also lost control and did some things that upset my husband. Our first time as a group of four ended very unpleasantly.

And then yesterday…
