[Fantasy] Toothless Zombie (Complete) - 19

In Chapter Seven, Lanling, a pawn in the mysterious plan,

said with a troubled expression, "Ancestor, I... I'm afraid I'm not up to the

task. My abilities..." Half of Lanling's troubled expression was feigned. Jiang Chen was right in front of him, needing his help. Damn it, if he didn't seize this opportunity to gain some benefits, he'd be out of his mind.

Jiang Chen laughed, "I naturally have ways to improve your abilities, but even if I do, you're probably no match for Dijiang. So, we'll see how well you use your brain."

Lanling was secretly delighted and was about to feign loyalty when Jiang Chen waved his hand to interrupt, saying, "Place the Divine Tomb Cauldron in front of you."

Lanling obediently placed the Divine Tomb Cauldron in front of him, then looked at Jiang Chen with a puzzled expression.

Jiang Chen smiled slightly, and suddenly the multicolored light condensed into a single point, entering Lanling's brow.

Lanling felt a sudden jolt in his head, as if struck by a sledgehammer. A wave of dizziness washed over him, and to his astonishment, he saw the Divine Tomb Cauldron in his eyes gradually enlarge. Furthermore, a mysterious energy vortex appeared at the cauldron's mouth, appearing completely black.

Before he could recover, a powerful suction force suddenly emerged from the energy vortex, pulling his body into it…

Darkness!

Pitch blackness, almost to the point of being unable to see his own hand in front of his face!

When a sliver of light appeared before him, Lanling found himself in a gray space.

It was a desolate space, vast and empty, filled with gusts of eerie wind. The sky was blood-red, with clouds of blood-red smoke constantly floating in the air, occasionally flashing with crimson lightning that struck the eleven mound-like protrusions on the ground.

"This is the interior of the Divine Tomb Cauldron,"

Jiang Chen said, having somehow separated from Lanling's body and standing beside him.

Wow!

We've already entered the interior of the Divine Tomb Cauldron?

Lanling looked around in utter astonishment. He had previously thought the Divine Tomb Cauldron was some kind of extraordinary magical artifact, but it turned out to contain a space within it.

Lanling suddenly remembered that the small black cauldron was called the Divine Tomb Cauldron, which sounded rather strange. He hadn't paid much attention to it before, but now, looking at the surrounding environment, could the Divine Tomb Cauldron, as its name suggests, be a god's tomb?

He remembered that when Jiang Chen and Di Jiang were talking, Jiang Chen asked Di Jiang to return to the Divine Tomb Cauldron, but Di Jiang claimed he would no longer be a guardian of the tomb…

All the clues intertwined, and Lanling's gaze fixed on the protrusions constantly struck by the crimson lightning. He began to wonder, if those were truly tombs, then what kind of being was buried within them? Was it truly a god?

Jiang Chen seemed unwilling to answer Lanling's questions at all, instead casually taking Lanling aside to explain the Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse to him in greater depth.

Having already understood some things from the previous explanation, Lanling slowly grasped the function of the Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse after Jiang Chen's more detailed explanation.

The Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse uses blood as a catalyst; blood is the source of energy!

This method is divided into three stages: the first stage is Blood Shadow, the second stage is Blood Body, and the third stage is Blood Overwhelming!

What shocked Lanling was that the zombie cultivation levels he was familiar with—White Fang, Black Fang, Blood Fang, Silver Fang, Gold Fang—were merely the first stage of the Myriad Lives Blood Refining Curse. It was simply a reaction of the fangs caused by changes in energy during the Blood Shadow cultivation. In reality, the way the blood, the source of energy, was utilized was not substantially different.

The first stage, Blood Shadow, already encompassed all the zombie power levels Lanling knew. It was unimaginable how powerful the second stage, Blood Body, and the third stage, Blood Overwhelming, would be if successfully cultivated.

Jiang Chen told Lanling that all zombies had abandoned their origin and taken a shortcut, excessively pursuing superficial energy cultivation without internal transformation. This is why Lanling was in a situation where his fangs controlled energy flow instead of his bloodline. This made the zombies appear terrifying, yet they possessed a fatal weakness!

Lanling listened intently, secretly sighing. If the Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse were mastered, the zombie would truly be invincible. He strained his ears, afraid of missing a single word, while his brain raced, trying to understand every single word Jiang Chen spoke. Unfortunately, Jiang Chen only taught Lanling the first stage of the Blood Shadow cultivation method, not the second and third stages.

"Do you understand?"

Jiang Chen asked.

Lanling nodded and said, "Almost, Ancestor, the Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse is truly powerful!"

Jiang Chen laughed, "Otherwise, how could I roam freely throughout the Three Realms and Six Paths?"

Lanling quickly flattered him with a smile, but inwardly he chuckled. That was an exaggeration. If he could truly roam freely throughout the Three Realms and Six Paths, how could he be imprisoned here by the Goddess Nuwa?

"Although I've only taught you the cultivation method for the Blood Shadow stage, it's enough for you. As long as you diligently cultivate according to the method, within three days, you can unblock your blood vessels, channeling energy into them and circulating it through the blood vessels, avoiding the obstruction of the fangs. After three days, your energy will return to your peak,"

Jiang Chen said.

Lan Ling was overjoyed; for him now, this was an immense benefit.

Jiang Chen suddenly smiled and said, "However, to successfully cultivate to the peak of the first stage, it will take at least a thousand years… then you won't be able to help me."

Lan Ling understood immediately, quickly bowed, and said devoutly, "Ancestor, please help Lan Ling! Lan Ling is eager to serve you."

Jiang Chen said, "Don't underestimate this Divine Tomb Cauldron; it contains a hidden world. Even as a magic weapon, it has endless uses! The Myriad Lives Blood Refining Curse sometimes cannot rely solely on cultivation; it requires the help of miraculous medicines. Lan Ling, I will now teach you a method for using the Divine Tomb Cauldron to refine miraculous medicines." "If you find the medicinal catalyst as I instructed, I guarantee that within a year of taking it, you will reach the peak of the first stage of the Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse. At that time, I will naturally teach you the second stage of the Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse."

Lanling was overjoyed, his eyes gleaming with excitement. He loyally said, "Ancestor, Lanling will certainly not let you down and will absolutely not let Dijiang succeed!"

Jiang Chen laughed and said, "Do you know what Dijiang wants to do?"

Lanling couldn't help but feel a headache. He had just said some flattering words, but he didn't expect Jiang Chen to take it seriously.

"This...this is Lanling's guess...Dijiang is disrespectful to the Ancestor, and...and from what I've heard of your conversation, it seems like the Ancestor forbids her from doing something..."

Lanling said, his old face turning red.

Jiang Chen laughed wildly, "Of all those who know her, perhaps only I, Jiang Chen, in this vast universe. If I hadn't said those things, how could she have made up her mind to do it?"

Lanling was immediately bewildered, and asked doubtfully, "Could it be that the Ancestor used reverse psychology? Actually, you want Dijiang to act quickly?"

Jiang Chen suddenly became serious, his expression solemn, his eyes filled with sharpness. He stared at Lanling and said in a deep voice, "Lanling, you should know my character from the legends. I reward and punish with moderation. If you succeed, your benefits will be inexhaustible. If you fail, or betray me, I will make you taste unimaginable pain!"

Lanling's heart trembled, and he thought to himself, "This is too old-fashioned!" At this point, a combination of kindness and severity was employed... No matter how Lanling thought about it, he felt like one of those lackey characters in movies and TV shows. Although he was unhappy, the person in front of him was the progenitor Jiang Chen, which made him feel much better. After all, there were countless zombie gods in the zombie world who wanted to be Jiang Chen's lackey, and they fought tooth and nail for it. But it just so happened that it was his turn. This can only be described as a turn of luck.

Lanling, feigning extreme terror, said, "Lanling would never dare betray you, Ancestor! Whatever you ask of me, I will do with all my might, even unto death!"

He finished, his face displaying a resolute acceptance of death.

Jiang Chen pondered, his multicolored light trembling slightly. A sinister glint flashed in his gleaming eyes. After a moment, he said in a deep voice, "I want you to help Dijiang. Whatever she does, you must help her! Even incite her ambition to turn this space into a demonic realm! Slaughter all cultivators and martial artists!"

Lanling's body jolted. He looked at Jiang Chen with confusion. Earlier, when he overheard Jiang Chen's conversation with Dijiang, Lanling had assumed Jiang Chen loved Dijiang. However, he then realized Jiang Chen didn't seem to care about Dijiang at all. Now, Jiang Chen suddenly wanted Lanling to do such a thing, which Lanling couldn't understand at all.

Jiang Chen seemed oblivious to the confusion in Lanling's eyes, or perhaps he saw it but simply didn't want to explain. He continued, "Within ten years, my true body might be able to reach this space. Lanling, I hope to see everything I want to see then!" "

My current divine consciousness is actually formed from a bit of my lifeblood left in the Divine Tomb Cauldron. I will relinquish this lifeblood to help you instantly reach the level of the Silver-Toothed Golden-Armored Corpse! Then, everything will depend on your cultivation!"

Jiang Chen said in a low voice.

Lanling was immediately like a poor man who had suddenly won the lottery, his eyes glazed over, somewhat unable to believe that everything he had just heard was true.

"Lanling, listen carefully. I will teach you the method of refining the Blood Pill. From now on, what you need are the Source of Water, the Limit of Fire, Ruthless Slaughter, Cold as Ice, the Soul of Power, the Spirit of Stars, the Extreme of Lightning, the Root of Metal, the Water of Spirit, the Essence of Wood, the Spirit of Earth, and the Essence of Wind and Rain! When all twelve of these ingredients are collected, put them into the Divine Tomb Cauldron and use the method of activating the cauldron for refining. The Blood Pill will be fully formed. This cauldron already contains nine layers of blood clouds arranged by my zombie aura. At that time, the effects of the Blood Pill will be unimaginable!"

Jiang Chen said in a deep voice.

Lanling became more and more confused as he listened. What was this about the Source of Water and the Limit of Fire? He couldn't understand any of it.

He had thought that great days were just around the corner, but now it seemed that the Ancestor had clearly given him an empty promise.

"Ancestor, please forgive Lanling's ignorance. I really don't understand what you mean."

Lanling hesitated for a moment and asked respectfully.

Jiang Chen laughed inscrutablely, saying, "Find Dijiang, and everything will become clear. Lanling, it's up to you now!"

As he spoke, Jiang Chen's multicolored light suddenly shone brightly, illuminating the ruined space as if it were daytime. Even the lightning bolts shooting from the blood-red clouds paused for a moment.

Boom!

Jiang Chen's multicolored light suddenly exploded, and a speck of golden blood appeared at the center of the light. If it weren't for the constant fluctuations of the blood, it would be difficult to tell that it was liquid.

The golden blood slowly drifted towards Lanling, and when it approached Lanling's body, it suddenly exploded into a misty golden blood fog, enveloping Lanling completely.

The golden blood fog enveloped Lanling; previously, it was a hazy mist, and Lanling's shadow could only be vaguely seen. In the blink of an eye, it solidified as if it were a physical entity, and from the outside, only a golden humanoid figure could be seen!

At this moment, Lanling was experiencing an unprecedented sensation. He felt like a balloon, a powerful aura constantly surging into his body, causing him to swell, especially the blood in his veins, which seemed to be circulating rapidly in an instant.

Sometimes flowing in the right direction, sometimes in the opposite direction!

In truth, without the bloodline reversal, the feeling, while somewhat inflated, would still be perfect.

Feeling the energy gradually filling and strengthening, Lanling felt an overwhelming joy, as if everything was incredibly wonderful.

Beset by bad luck, with his fangs knocked out, he had been a coward for so long that Lanling seemed to have grown accustomed to that feeling of swallowing his pride. But in the blink of an eye, with the appearance of Jiang Chen, everything miraculously changed!

Lanling didn't know how much energy a single drop of Jiang Chen's blood could possess. All he could sense was the ever-increasing energy within his own body. With his eyes closed, he seemed to see his blood vessels, his blood gradually taking on a faint golden hue. As the blood vessels circulated forward and backward, repeating this process many times, the zombie energy within Lanling began to surge into his blood vessels, slowly mixing with his blood. Especially when Lanling tried to circulate his zombie energy, it flowed freely, the obstruction caused by the missing fangs completely disappearing.

Indeed, things were as Jiang Chen had said; the operation of the Ten Thousand Lives Blood Refining Curse was completely different from other zombies. With its blood vessel-based circulation method, fangs were no longer needed, and the missing fangs posed no obstacle to Lanling.

The gloom finally dissipated, and rays of sunlight filled his heart!

When the golden light faded and Lanling's body appeared in mid-air, he roared to the sky, unable to suppress the intense joy within him.

Within Jiang Chen's golden blood essence, not only did powerful zombie energy help Lanling expand his bloodline, but a fragment of memory also remained. What surprised Lanling was that this memory contained the method to enter the Divine Tomb Cauldron, find Dijiang's wisp of divine soul, and destroy it.

Lanling increasingly couldn't understand Jiang Chen's intentions. His over three thousand years of life experience told him that things were far more complex than he imagined; Jiang Chen was definitely hiding something, and his purpose was far too unfathomable.

After pondering for a while, Lanling shook his head vigorously. "Damn it, live for today!"

he thought. "Besides, what's the use of digging deeper?"

Knowing too much was a death sentence. Whether facing Jiang Chen or Dijiang, Lanling was currently destined to be killed.

Lanling realized that all of this was thanks to Jiang Chen. For one thing, because he was the progenitor of zombies, Lanling had to contribute his own strength.

Although zombies were inherently cold-blooded, Lanling didn't have much affection for this progenitor; in truth, reverence was the primary reason.

Within the memory of the golden blood, Jiang Chen once again left a stern warning, letting Lanling know that with this drop of golden blood seeping in, Lanling's actions would no longer be able to escape Jiang Chen's detection. This was crucial; while still within this space, and even after leaving, if Jiang Chen wanted Lanling dead, Lanling knew he couldn't escape. Having faced a

near-death experience, Lanling no longer harbored thoughts of ending his life. On the contrary, he understood the importance of life!

Survival!

Indeed, survival was paramount.

Although Lanling had realized he might be a pawn in Jiang Chen's plan, what could he do?

All his survival experience told him that when facing an opponent he couldn't defeat or even escape from, the only method was to remain calm and observe, at least to ascertain Jiang Chen's purpose.

This was, at present, his only path!

In the distant space, Jiang Chen's true form stood atop a mountain peak that seemed to reach the sky. His face was pale, and he muttered, "Ten thousand virtues, haha, ten thousand virtues..." In

Chapter Eight, "Buddha's Bone and Ghostly Fire ,"

within the memory of that drop of golden blood, Jiang Chen told Lanling how to leave the Divine Tomb Cauldron.

After surveying the strange surroundings, Lanling suddenly decided to stay in the Divine Tomb Cauldron a little longer. His curiosity drove him to want to know just how wondrous the inner world of the Divine Tomb Cauldron, the so-called Divine Tomb, truly was. Because they shared the same zombie origin, even after Jiang Chen left, the blood clouds and lightning caused by his remaining zombie aura had no effect on Lanling. Looking around, this space seemed to have nothing noteworthy except for the eleven tomb-like protrusions.

Could this be the so-called tomb of the gods?

Lanling stared at the mound-like protrusions, the urge to rush over and dig them away constantly surging within him. He struggled to suppress this urge, standing still, his expression complex.

Anyway, with the Divine Tomb Cauldron in hand, he could satisfy his curiosity whenever he found an opportunity. Jiang Chen's divine sense had just merged with his own; according to Jiang Chen, it could sense his actions at any time. The beginning was crucial, and with this matter starting, Jiang Chen would likely observe him even more closely.

After a moment's hesitation, Lanling formed a hand seal, and darkness enveloped him, with undercurrents surging!

The undercurrents that had previously caused Lanling immense pain now caused no discomfort whatsoever. It seemed the Silver Fang Golden Armor Corpse's cultivation was indeed formidable.

In the blink of an eye, Lanling's eyes brightened, and he returned to the space Jiang Chen had called the Buddha's Tomb.

The stupa ahead still shone brightly, the three relics floating erratically, a peaceful aura flowing through the dense spiritual energy of heaven and earth. The increased aura of the zombies sharpened Lanling's senses several times over. He could no longer see the surface; he could see the substance beneath the Buddhist light. Previously, the so-called relics had appeared to him as just three small, inexplicable objects, but now, the faint Buddhist aura within the golden light was clearly visible.

Jiang Chen had said that this space was originally a powerful restrictive array, capable of imprisoning Jiang Chen within it.

Although Jiang Chen had broken it, Lanling was curious to see the array's trajectory. In his original world, he had always been fascinated by cultivators' practices, and his research, done to pass the time, had caused him considerable suffering.

As the saying goes, "once the wound heals, the pain is forgotten," and Lanling was exactly like that!

His past superficial cultivation methods had caused him much hardship, yet now he actually wanted to study the array set up by the Goddess Nuwa.

Tsk tsk…

an array with the relics of ten incarnations of a living Buddha as its core, goodness, he'd never even heard of such a thing before!

The Living Buddha, who had cultivated for ten lifetimes, had long since ascended to the celestial realm, becoming a revered Buddha. His relics had been refined into natal magic treasures; how could they possibly remain in the mortal world?

Lanling slowly approached the stupa, and seeing that the Buddha's light hadn't harmed him, he boldly began to sense the trajectory of the magic array, searching for the flow of spiritual energy in the world…

When Lanling opened his eyes, he was surprised to find the space had darkened. He hadn't expected this Buddha tomb to have a day-night cycle. The surroundings were pitch black, and the radiant light from the lotus platform shone brightly in the air, like countless stars. Lanling suddenly realized that he had lingered here for quite some time. If the archaeological team had already returned to the mountaintop and couldn't find him, it could cause unnecessary trouble. Thinking of this, Lanling hurriedly turned around, searching for the seven-star pattern on the ground where Jiang Chen had led him into the Buddha tomb.

When Lanling found the Seven Star Pattern and inadvertently turned his head to look at the lotus platform, his eyes widened in shock. The three relics floating above the platform, besides their radiant Buddhist aura, also emitted a faint, eerie blue light. Will- o'

-the-wisps! Holy crap ! Are they really will-o'-the-wisps? No one knows will-o'-the-wisps better than zombies. This abnormality in the bones, caused by some reason, is precisely the will-o'-the-wisps that zombies rely on for cultivation. In the graveyard, will-o'-the-wisps appear every night. What astonished Lanling was that the Buddha relics actually possessed the characteristics of ordinary bones and could also produce will-o'-the-wisps? Regardless of his doubts, everything before him was real. That most familiar feeling told Lanling that his judgment was correct. Lanling now completely understood what Jiang Chen had said: this place was a Buddhist tomb, yet it possessed a mysterious corpse aura. It seemed that no matter what kind of being one was in life, the bones after death were no different from ordinary people, only the phenomena and forms they exhibited were very different. Lanling now realized that Jiang Chen must have also discovered this, which was why he used the unique corpse energy of the relics to disrupt the powerful spirit-gathering array's restrictions and ultimately leave this place. Looking at the faint ghostly flames of the three relics in the stupa not far away, Lanling felt a surge of excitement, and a bold idea popped into his mind. He didn't know how Jiang Chen had used the relics' magical corpse energy to break the spirit-gathering array, but he really wanted to try using the relic's ghostly flames himself… After a moment, Lanling reached into his robes and tightly gripped his two fallen fangs. Refining a corpse artifact! When Jiang Chen had taught him, Lanling had considered that since he couldn't yet skillfully use the enhanced zombie energy to release ghostly flames for tempering, he could find a graveyard and use the ghostly flames there to forge a corpse artifact. But now, there was readily available ghostly flames right before his eyes! Moreover, it was the unheard-of relic ghost fire… Since Jiang Chen had already gained immense benefits from this relic corpse energy, couldn't I also take advantage of the ghost fire? Lanling's sense of urgency grew stronger. The only thing making him hesitate was that the only material he had for the corpse weapon was his own fallen fang, which was the only raw material he could use to forge his natal corpse weapon! What if the experiment failed? Damn it , wouldn't that mean he would never have a corpse weapon in the future? Lanling was an extremely curious guy, and he also had a very strange quirk: he'd rather have nothing than something bad! Unless he didn't know there was something better, he would rather have nothing at all and still pursue it. Lanling thought that Jiang Chen's benefits from this relic corpse energy were undeniable, which meant that the corpse weapon he forged here might be much better than those damn graveyards. Hmm! This was already a strong reason for Lanling. At worst, he wouldn't have a natal corpse weapon. Damn it, what's with all the fuss? Since Lanling's misfortune began, his personality has changed drastically. He's lost his previous impulsiveness and become overly cautious and hesitant when faced with problems. Lanling vehemently rejected his own cowardly thoughts and, without hesitation, took out the two grayish fangs. Then, he walked directly to the base of the stupa, circulating his zombie energy. The zombie energy flowed rapidly through his bloodstream, and even a small amount of the Silver Fang Golden Armor Corpse-level zombie energy thickened like a cloud, lifting Lanling to the top of the nearly 100-meter-high stupa. The relic with its unusual color was right before his eyes! In the faint, bluish-green ghost fire, the relic gave Lanling a feeling that was both familiar and strange. Familiar, from the ghost fire's resonance! But strange, from a strange aura mixed within the ghost fire's energy that Lanling had never encountered before. However, this aura did not repel Lanling; instead, it merged with the ghost fire's energy. Lanling's expression turned serious, even somewhat stiff. In this place where the dense spiritual energy of heaven and earth converged, he dared not be careless in the slightest. The powerful strength of the Silver-Toothed Golden-Armored Corpse, activated at full speed, displayed astonishing power. Crimson zombie energy, like smoke and dust, swirled and rolled around Lanling, appearing vast and mighty. Suddenly, two points of silver light, like flames, leaped in Lanling's clear eyes. Crack! Lanling's caution was indeed correct. Although the spirit-gathering array had been broken by Jiang Chen, the dense spiritual energy within was not to be underestimated. When the zombie energy reached a point of disrupting the balance, a violent conflict erupted between the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and the zombie energy, with crimson lightning crackling incessantly. Following the weapon-refining methods taught by Jiang Chen, Lanling changed his hand seals. Initially somewhat stiff, they gradually became more proficient. Illusory hand seals appeared continuously, finally condensing into a complex magic seal. Intense zombie energy was poured into it, and the two fangs slowly floated within the seal. A sudden gust of wind swept through!

The ghostly flames ignited by the relics within the stupa flickered, and finally, seemingly reluctantly, a shimmering flame drifted out, swaying for a moment amidst the powerful zombie aura before abruptly entering the hand seal and attaching itself to the two fangs.

Lanling's expression was grim. He dared not be careless in his first attempt at crafting a corpse artifact; after all, the chance to create a natal corpse artifact was only once, and avoiding failure would be the best outcome.

The shimmering ghostly flames burned eerily within the blood-red zombie aura.

The two fangs trembled slightly, desperately absorbing the ghostly flames under Lanling's guidance.

Lanling's hand gestures constantly changed, using the zombie aura to fuel the ghostly flames and temper the two fangs.

Everything was going so smoothly, almost perfectly!

However, when the crafting of the corpse artifact reached a crucial point, Lanling realized he had been careless. He had underestimated the power of the relic's ghostly flames.

The will-o'-the-wisp contained a powerful, strange aura that countered Lanling's zombie aura, and gradually began to suppress it. What

surprised Lanling most was that, as the tempering progressed, the relic within the stupa began to undergo unexpected changes, trembling violently as if it could fly out at any moment, causing the entire stupa to shake incessantly like an earthquake.

He sensed that this energy countering the zombie aura was emanating from the relic.

Lanling hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and unleashed a burst of zombie aura, creating a barrier between the relic and the will-o'-the-wisp, attempting to cut off the transmission of that powerful energy.

Gradually, the fangs, which had originally emitted a grayish hue, began to glow with a bluish phosphorescence. The fangs trembled more and more intensely, and the incredibly hard fangs now seemed to be changing shape like liquid.

Lanling gasped in shock. Damn it! He had just been thinking about trying to forge a corpse artifact, but hadn't considered what kind of artifact he wanted to make from these two fangs.

In that split second of distraction, a sudden change occurred!

The stupa emitted a deafening roar, and the three relics shot out like lightning. The barrier of zombie energy was utterly vulnerable to the impact of the relics, easily shattered.

Lanling coughed up a mouthful of blood, his head buzzing as if struck by a sledgehammer, his vision blurring.

He stared wide-eyed at the relics already embedded in the zombie energy; the hand seals he had previously set up to forge the corpse artifact trembled, as if they might shatter at any moment.

Damn it, I'll risk it all!

Lanling took a deep breath, his zombie energy surging at full speed as he continued casting the spell without reservation.

Crack!

With a deafening roar, darkness enveloped Lanling's vision; the fangs, the relics, the will-o'-the-wisps—all seemed to vanish in an instant. Lanling was violently slammed into the air and fell headfirst, losing consciousness with a cry of pain…

He didn't know how much time had passed before he slowly opened his eyes, feeling a splitting headache and extreme soreness throughout his body.

Lanling hurriedly tried to circulate his zombie energy, then took a long breath. Perhaps due to overexertion, the zombie energy flowing in his blood was weak, but its circulation was fine; it seemed he would fully recover in a little while.

Damn it, he failed again… Lanling felt incredibly frustrated. His first attempt at refining a corpse artifact had gone so badly. Sigh… what a waste of those two fangs.

As he braced himself to get up, something suddenly pricked his palm. Lanling instinctively grabbed it to examine it and froze.

A banana!

What the hell was that?!

The two fangs were now connected, and the three relics were pierced through them like candied hawthorns on a skewer…

Had he succeeded or failed? Lanling stared at the bizarre "candied hawthorn" before him, his mind reeling.

He'd seen plenty of magical artifacts used by cultivators, and had genuinely envied them in the past.

Now, having obtained the method for crafting corpse artifacts from zombies, his eager experimentation had resulted in this monstrosity… Lanling held the "candied hawthorn" in his hand, feeling a mixture of amusement and exasperation. Even if he succeeded, his natal corpse artifact was such a laughable sight—how could he possibly present it to anyone?

Stroking the "candied hawthorn," a familiar feeling surged through him, as if it were an extension of his body. Jiang Chen had told Lanling that this was a phenomenon that occurred after the successful crafting of a natal corpse artifact.

However, what puzzled Lanling was that the three relics were Buddhist relics. The power of Buddhism and the aura of zombies were supposed to be mutually exclusive, so how could these two seemingly incompatible things be connected?

No matter how strange it looked, it was still his natal corpse artifact. Lanling smiled wryly as he got up to test it, to see what its function was.

As Lanling invoked the "Candied Hawthorn" relic according to the method of using a mortal artifact, a whooshing sound suddenly echoed within the Buddha Tomb. Thick spiritual energy surged violently, frantically pouring into the natal artifact. The "Candied Hawthorn" emitted two distinctly different lights: the relic itself glowed milky white, while the connected fangs were a scarlet crimson.

With the influx of spiritual energy, the light grew increasingly dazzling. The relic slightly expanded, and a bolt of lightning suddenly appeared at the tip of the fangs—a crimson lightning strikingly similar to the lightning emitted by the blood-red clouds arranged by Jiang Chen within the Divine Tomb Cauldron.

Boom!

The lightning struck the relic tower, and with a deafening roar, the towering relic tower was instantly shattered, turning into ashes.

For a moment, smoke filled the air, choking Lanling and making it difficult for him to breathe.

"Holy crap!"

Lanling stared in astonishment at everything, then, overjoyed, almost jumped up and shouted.

Unexpectedly, this seemingly unremarkable, even somewhat ugly, "candied hawthorn" possessed such miraculous power. Lanling examined it carefully for a moment and discovered that the relic on the fangs absorbed the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. The relic and fangs were combined; the relic absorbed and transformed it into powerful zombie energy, emanating from the fangs.

Lanling's luck was truly unpredictable, fluctuating wildly. When he was down on his luck, he was incredibly unlucky, but when his luck turned, it was like stepping in dog poop—his luck was enviable.

This guy was absolutely unprecedented; he was the only zombie who could utilize the spiritual energy of heaven and earth!

Lanling suppressed his joy and used the art of retrieving his weapon. With a change of hand seals, his natal weapon, the "candied hawthorn," lost all its light and flew back to his palm like lightning.

Since Lanling wasn't very familiar with the methods of retrieving and releasing weapons at this time, he could only put the weapon in his pocket. In time, the weapon would be able to blend into his body and be used freely.

Lanling was eager to play with his precious corpse artifact, but he had lingered in the Buddha Tomb for far too long. If he didn't return soon, he would inevitably have to waste time arguing with it.

Moreover, Lanling's energy was surging, and with the "Candied Hawthorn" treasure in hand, he desperately wanted to return to the outside world, where at least he wouldn't be bullied anymore. "

Damn it, Ling Xue, if you dare to go against me again, you'll be crying before you know it!" Lanling thought viciously, remembering Ling Xue's constant harassment.

Finding the Seven Star Teleportation Array on the ground, Lanling followed the method taught to him by Jiang Chen upon entering, and in an instant, he left the Buddha Tomb and returned to the outer tunnel. The air currents still swirled during the teleportation, but they could no longer harm Lanling. "

Tsk tsk… It feels so damn good to have power…

Chapter Nine: Demon God's Bones

!"

Lanling had just emerged from the tunnel when he was startled by a high-decibel scream, nearly rupturing his eardrums.

Rubbing his ears, he looked up to see Ling Xue staring at him in shock. Her pretty face was pale, the fear gradually fading, replaced by anger.

No matter how capable Ling Xue was, she was still just a girl.

As a police officer, she was fearless against criminals; she had seen even the most gruesome scenes.

However, this wasn't a crime scene, but an ancient tomb. She wasn't afraid of vicious criminals, but she had an instinctive fear of ghosts and spirits. The most frightening thing is often the fear you have of yourself; wildly imagined things are the most terrifying.

During the archaeological excavation, Ling Xue had followed the team to the deepest part of the ancient temple. Due to its long period of isolation and its location deep within the mountain, the chill was indescribable.

Ling Xue had never been interested in archaeology, and this trip hadn't been entirely willing.

While everyone's attention was focused on the archaeology, she, who wasn't particularly interested, started looking around aimlessly, her mind wandering uncontrollably.

And then, Lanling appeared before her without warning. Caught completely off guard in this cold, dark environment, Lanling's appearance was sure to startle anyone, including Ling Xue.

This was the first time Ling Xue had ever experienced such an embarrassing situation!

And the culprit was right in front of her. Somewhat embarrassed and angry, Ling Xue glared at Lanling, wondering what was going on with him. He seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.

Lanling glanced at a dark corner nearby and said, "I was looking at a mural there and didn't hear you. Sorry, I startled you!"

"When did you get down here!"

Ling Xue said coldly.

"I've been down for a while. You know, such rare ancient temple ruins—if I come here and don't see them for myself, I'll regret it for the rest of my life,"

Lanling said with a smile.

"You're acting so suspiciously! What's your purpose?!"

Ling Xue glared at Lanling.

Lanling said, "Sneaky? How am I sneaky? I was just looking at the murals, while Miss Lingxue, you walk so silently! You startled me, but I apologized first. Why are you still being so aggressive? I really don't know what I did to offend you. Why are you always targeting me?"

"Lanling, you better watch out! No criminal I'm watching will escape!"

Lingxue shouted.

Lanling sneered, "Whatever, I'm ready to teach you a lesson! If you continue to treat me like this, we might meet in court next time. Don't you know that defamation is a crime? I really don't know what kind of police officer you are!"

Lanling's abilities had greatly increased, and he was naturally fearless in front of Lingxue. If he wasn't worried about provoking Su Jianghe behind Lingxue, Lanling might have already attacked this woman.

Lanling wasn't confident in dealing with a powerful True Martial Artist like Su Jianghe. Unlucky days aren't all bad; at least, during this time, Lanling had learned to be cautious.

Just then, a flurry of footsteps echoed through the tunnel.

Ling Xue's scream was so shrill that it alerted the archaeologists inside. Ya Jie was the first to rush over in a panic.

"Xue'er, what's wrong?"

Ya Jie asked anxiously, even from a distance.

Ling Xue didn't even glance at her, simply standing still and saying, "Nothing."

"Lanling, why did you come down?"

Su Qingyuan asked, puzzled, upon seeing Lanling.

Lanling patted the stall and smiled, "Old Su, I'm sorry, I just couldn't control myself. If I missed such an opportunity, I would regret it for the rest of my life. Besides, the medical team gave me a check-

up while I was up there, and I'm fine for now." Su Qingyuan nodded understandingly, "That's good, that's good. I was just worried that the site, being sealed inside the mountain for so long, might have some kind of gas that could harm you. But when I came down, I found out that it had been properly treated. My worries were unnecessary."

Ya Jie had been extremely concerned, but when she realized that her precious daughter had clashed with Lanling again, her lips twitched slightly, but she didn't speak.

Faced with this devil in human skin, Ya Jie just wanted to stay far away. If possible, she would even persuade her daughter to stay away from this devil.

"Teacher Lanling, are you really alright?"

Qiu Yan asked with concern, her pretty face stained with dirt, but unable to hide her excitement. For an archaeology enthusiast like her, this opportunity was truly rare.

Lanling laughed and said, "At least for now, they won't die."

Qiuyan frowned and sighed, "How could you say such nonsense?"

Su Qingyuan laughed, "Lanling, you've come at the right time. Come, follow me inside and take a good look. The discovery of this ancient temple ruins will definitely shock the entire archaeological world!"

The arrival of Su Qingyuan and the others made Ling Xue unable to lash out at Lanling in front of so many people. She had no choice but to suppress her anger and secretly decided that she must investigate thoroughly when she got back. Her intuition told her that Lanling was definitely not a good person!

Lanling was also eager to go deeper into the ancient temple ruins to take a good look. Maybe there were some treasures there!

The appearance of the Divine Tomb Cauldron had given him a taste of success, and his greedy thoughts never stopped.

However, things didn't seem to be as good as he imagined. After following Su Qingyuan and the others deeper into the ruins, they didn't find anything else that was worth his attention. Deep in the ancient temple ruins, the most common items were large urns used for burial. No wonder Ling Xue was having wild thoughts and scaring herself. By

the time they returned to the mountaintop, it was already dawn.

After a quick meal, the archaeologists gathered in a tent, enthusiastically discussing their observations of the ancient temple ruins. Lanling listened from the sidelines, but was increasingly drowsy. He had never been interested in archaeology to begin with, and now, after seeing nothing of interest, his enthusiasm waned even further.

All night, Lanling's attention was focused outside.

The increased aura of his zombie powers had enhanced his senses to an unbelievable degree. Sensing everything around him, Lanling suddenly felt like he was dreaming. Yesterday he was an unlucky wretch, but today he had not only regained his strength but had also reached a level of cultivation he had never achieved before.

Lanling could clearly sense a considerable number of cultivators and martial artists around Tianfo Mountain. What puzzled him was the absence of demonic energy.

Had Dijiang given up?

This thought caused Lanling a headache. Dijiang already knew the Divine Tomb Cauldron was in his hands, and judging by her determined expression, she would definitely come knocking.

After pondering for a while, Lanling shook his head helplessly. Even if he was powerful now, he still couldn't compare to Dijiang, one of the twelve great demon gods. It seemed he could only use Jiang Chen to scare her; after all, she didn't know that Jiang Chen had already used a bit of the golden zombie's blood, transformed into divine consciousness, to enhance his abilities.

Recalling what Jiang Chen had asked him to do, Lanling was at a loss. If he told Dijiang he would help her, Dijiang probably wouldn't believe him. He really couldn't understand what Jiang Chen meant by doing this. If he wanted to help Dijiang, why did he put on such a cold face in the beginning?

In the end, it was Lanling who was in trouble…

As dawn approached, the archaeologists finally managed to suppress their excitement and take a short nap in their sleeping bags.

Lanling, however, was preoccupied with pondering Jiang Chen's intentions. Lying in his sleeping bag, he tossed and turned, unable to sleep, thinking that he must find time to re-enter the Divine Tomb Cauldron and examine it thoroughly. Right, it seemed that a wisp of Di Jiang's divine soul was sealed within the Divine Tomb Cauldron by Jiang Chen. If they could find it, they might obtain some useful information.

For some reason, Lanling had a bad feeling, as if he were trapped in a whirlpool from which he couldn't escape…

In the morning, when the sun was high in the sky, Lanling finally crawled out of his sleeping bag.

Su Qingyuan and the others were already fully prepared to re-enter the ancient temple ruins to obtain more data in order to announce this major event to the archaeological community.

"Lanling, come here,"

Su Qingyuan called out, waving.

Lanling put his sleeping bag aside and stepped forward, saying, "Elder Su, what's wrong?"

Su Qingyuan said, "You don't look well. It seems you didn't sleep at all last night? I heard you tossing and turning; are you feeling unwell again?"

Lanling's heart skipped a beat, and he nodded silently.

Su Qingyuan said, "We won't be returning to Qinglong City for now. I think you should go back with the staff who went to purchase supplies and get a thorough check-up at the hospital. If anything happens, just contact me."

This was exactly what Lanling had been hoping for. After examining the site last night, the ancient temple ruins held no appeal for him anymore. He was eager to get back as soon as possible and not waste any more time here.

Hearing Su Qingyuan's words, Lanling hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded and said, "Elder Su, I'm sorry, I've held everyone back."

Su Qingyuan laughed and said, "You're overthinking it. What's this about holding everyone back? If I weren't so busy here, I really wanted to go back with you and accompany you to the hospital for a thorough check-up, so I could know the results and how to help you."

Lanling felt a surge of heartfelt gratitude. Since meeting Su Qingyuan, he had truly broadened his horizons. For the first time, this usually cold-hearted man had experienced the taste of emotion...

Standing once again on the streets of Qinglong City, Lanling felt as if he had been transported to another world.

The trip to Tianfo Mountain had brought him unimaginable opportunities. The excitement from that time hadn't completely faded yet. Lanling felt like he was dreaming. If it weren't for the zombie energy flowing freely in his blood, he wouldn't have believed it was all real.

After a brief farewell to the staff accompanying him, Lanling hesitated for a moment, then strode towards the hospital.

It was midday, the sun blazing, and the asphalt on the road emitted a strange, melting smell. Previously, Lanling had worried about facing the sun, but in just two or three days, he could walk in it, the scorching sun no longer bothering him.

Along the way, Lanling pondered how to meet Dijiang. He desperately wanted to further enhance his strength, but the only way was to use the Divine Tomb Cauldron to refine Blood Pills. However, without meeting Dijiang, he couldn't figure out what the Blood Pill ingredients Jiang Chen had mentioned were…

In the hospital.

Fat Dragon leaned lazily back in his chair, a bottle of red wine on the table.

In those vampire stories, elegant vampires always enjoyed drinking red wine. Although his master said they were zombies, not vampires, since zombies were a higher level of existence than vampires, their enjoyment was naturally more sophisticated.

After becoming a zombie, Fat Dragon felt that life had suddenly become much more comfortable.

He used to enjoy provoking others, and if he angered someone, they'd run away with their tails between their legs. But now it's different. He still provokes others, but he's no longer the one running away with their tails between their legs. Although Lanling instructed him to stay hidden before leaving, it's easier said than done. Having miraculously gained such powerful abilities, it's no wonder that this repressed guy, Fatty Dragon, can't possibly stay hidden. So, the nights in Qinglong City haven't been peaceful these past two days.

Fatty Dragon isn't stupid. Even if he wanted to show off his strength and enjoy the thrill, he didn't dare cause trouble for honest people. He knew that if he harmed ordinary people, the police would definitely find out. Even if he wasn't afraid of the police, his master might find out when he returned, and he'd be the one in trouble in the end.

This guy only targets criminals. Anyway, he'd been involved in many criminal activities before, so finding them was easy for him.

Even if something happened to those guys, they wouldn't dare call the police. They were all lurking in the shadows, doing shady things. Fatty Dragon knew this perfectly well, which is why he dared to cause trouble so brazenly…

Every time he saw those usually ruthless guys being tormented and begging for mercy, this fatso felt incredibly satisfied. However, he overlooked one thing: the allure of blood for a zombie of his current level. When blood splattered everywhere, the striking crimson and the familiar smell made Fatty Dragon unable to control his desires. Before, he could control himself and quickly run home to get a bag of blood plasma to satisfy his craving. But last night, when he tore off the arm of a criminal in the middle of a drug deal, faced with the steaming blood, he finally couldn't control himself…

Bang bang…

The glass window was knocked on. Fatty Dragon looked over impatiently, but instantly his face changed, becoming obsequious as he bowed and scraped as he went out to greet him.

“Master… you’re back so soon?”

Fatty Dragon asked with a fawning smile.

Lanling walked straight into the mortuary, casually sat down in a chair, and looked up to carefully examine the fat dragon. When he saw a faint red tinge in the fat dragon's eyes, Lanling frowned and asked, "You've been drinking human blood?"

The fat on the fat dragon's face trembled violently. He wanted to lie, but the absolute loyalty of a zombie to its master wouldn't allow him to.

When Lanling heard the fat dragon's truthful report, he couldn't help but smile bitterly. Getting this greedy and pretentious fat man to tolerate him was truly difficult, a point he had overlooked before.

But it didn't matter. He had told the fat dragon to hide before leaving because Lanling was too weak and he was afraid the guy would cause trouble and implicate him. But now it was different. Lanling was no longer the same; he was his zombie slave, so he could do whatever he wanted. In this respect, Lanling was definitely protective of his own.

The fat dragon finished speaking tremblingly and began to wait for his master's punishment, expecting a severe scolding. To his surprise, when he looked up at Lanling, he saw Lanling smiling and pondering something, showing no intention of blaming him.

Lanling said, "At least you know to target those shady characters. For that, I should praise you! If you had acted recklessly, Qinglong City would probably be in an uproar by now, and you might have attracted some guys you couldn't handle, who would have blown your head off by now..."

"Master, are there such strong guys?"

Fatty Long had been invincible these past two days, and he was getting a little cocky.

"What do you know?"

Lanling gave Fatty Long a cold look and said.

Fatty Long smiled obsequiously, "With Master here, what do I have to fear? Hehe..."

Lanling couldn't help but chuckle. This fatso was really cut out to be a wicked servant; he was good at flattering and bullying.

Fatty Long turned around and brought over a wine glass, respectfully placing it in front of Lanling. He then poured half a glass of red wine: "Master, please drink..."

"You seem to be living quite comfortably."

Lanling glanced at the red wine but didn't touch it; he preferred strong liquor to red wine.

"Hehe... Master, everything I have is given to me by you. Even if I'm living comfortably, I still have to wait for your tribute first."

Fatty Long's flattery was so blatant that even Lanling felt a little nauseous. He had never created a corpse slave before; Fatty Long was the first, and he had only just begun to experience the feeling of having one.

"How much have you made these past two days?"

Lanling asked with a smile.

Fatty Long didn't react for a moment, staring blankly at Lanling with a face full of doubt.

Lanling laughed and scolded, "Don't play dumb with me, you money-grubber. You didn't just go for a quick fling, did you? You must have made quite a bit of money on the side,

didn't you?" Fatty Long chuckled, "Master, you know me best. I'm accumulating wealth so that you won't be hesitant to spend money later..."

Lanling laughed and said, "Buy a plot of land in the suburbs and build a house first. After you buy the land, I'll tell you what the house will look like."

Lanling felt that he needed a place to settle down now. He needed to work even harder to cultivate the Myriad Life Blood Refining Curse, and he didn't want to stay in that abandoned, dilapidated factory any longer.

Fat Dragon said decisively, "Don't worry, Master, I'll get it done quickly."

Although this guy was greedy and stingy, he dared not hesitate at all when it came to Lanling. Besides, he had already seen that following his master meant a bright future ahead. Money and beautiful women would be plentiful.

After instructing Fatty Long to prepare some things, Lanling got up to leave. Before leaving, Fatty Long quickly took several bags of blood plasma from a small cooler under the table and presented them to Lanling with both hands, saying, "Master, this is the freshest blood plasma, donated yesterday. Please accept it, hehe..."

Lanling patted Fatty Long's shoulder with satisfaction and chuckled, "Not bad, I really didn't misjudge you. Later, I'll teach you a cultivation method. Even as a zombie, you need to constantly improve your strength, otherwise you might get killed by those cultivators one day."

Fatty Long's fat face immediately blossomed like a large chrysanthemum, his juicy fat trembling. He hurriedly said, "Thank you, Master, thank you, Master. I will definitely cultivate diligently and not let you down."

Lanling laughed heartily, pushed open the door, and left. Now everything seemed to have settled down, at least with a good start, but he couldn't let his guard down. Lanling understood that what would happen in the future would be anything but simple; he had to improve his strength to have the leverage to meet Dijiang.

In the abandoned factory...

Beatrice sat weakly on the ground. Although she was still cultivating, the rosy glow around her was much dimmer than before. Only two or three days had passed, yet she had endured immense pain; everything was far more difficult than she had imagined.

The thirst for blood, combined with the physical urges during her fox-spirit cultivation, was something Beatrice knew could break her at any moment, even if she could still endure it.

The little fox also lay listlessly to one side. Blood beasts in their early stages couldn't live without blood, especially after it stole the demon core. Its demonic power surged, but without blood to replenish its energy, it suffered even more pain than Beatrice.

When Lanling entered the abandoned factory, he didn't deliberately tiptoe as before.

The era of playing dumb to deceive was over. It was time for Lanling to rise to power. With his current strength, even Beatrice at her peak wouldn't be a match for him, let alone now, severely injured.

The little fox lazily twisted its head, but its eyes lit up when it saw Lanling. It leaped up and wobbled towards him.

Lanling was surprised to find that in just two days, the little fox had gained a tail…

The little fox reached Lanling, looking at him pitifully, its two little tails wagging incessantly.

Lanling was secretly astonished. He hadn't expected the demon core to have such a strong effect on the little fox. If he could get her a few more demon cores, she might reach the four-tailed stage faster. Then, Lanling could begin the true refining stage of the blood beast.

Lanling casually tossed a bag of blood plasma from his pocket beside the little fox. The fox cried out happily, rushed forward, bit open the blood bag, and gulped down the plasma. In the blink of an eye, the bag was empty. Then, it still looked at Lanling pitifully.

Damn… this little guy's appetite has increased these past two days! Fortunately, Lanling didn't have to worry about blood plasma now. If it were before, the little fox's appetite would have given him a real headache.

Left with no other choice, Lanling had to toss another bag to the little fox.

When Beatrice saw Lanling, she tried her best to conceal the pain on her face, maintaining her usual haughty and domineering demeanor.

Unfortunately, she didn't know that Lanling was no longer the vampire descendant she could order around. He was now an existence she couldn't defeat!

Watching the little fox gleefully drink the blood plasma, Beatrice's mouth watered uncontrollably, her Adam's apple bobbing slightly.

Despite her intense envy, Beatrice had to maintain her composure. It should be Lanling respectfully offering her the blood plasma, not her asking for it.

To Beatrice's shock, this despicable fellow not only didn't offer her the blood plasma, but instead walked a short distance away, leaned against a stone pillar, and leisurely began to enjoy a bag of blood plasma. Beatrice's

eyes widened suddenly, her beautiful eyes filled with coldness as she glared fiercely at Lanling. This damned descendant, did he want to rebel?!

Lanling smiled at Beatrice, smacking his lips as he drank the blood plasma, making Beatrice swallow hard.

"Give me the blood plasma!"

Beatrice snapped angrily.

Lanling pulled a bag of blood plasma from his pocket. He shook it gently and said, "Want some? If you do, kneel down beside me and beg..."

Oh my god!

Beatrice couldn't believe her ears. This guy dared to talk to her like that?

"What? Don't you want it?"

Lanling said with a smile, then tore open the bag of blood plasma and slowly spilled the blood onto the ground.

"You! Do you want to die!"

Beatrice shouted angrily, the emotional turmoil aggravating her injuries, and a strong dizziness made her vision go black.

Lanling said, "There's a saying, 'A wise man submits to circumstances.' Want me to explain?"

Then, Lanling continued, "Vampires are immortal, aren't they? But I can end your immortal life at any time..."

Beatrice was completely enraged. This was something even the usually clever Beatrice couldn't comprehend. She stared at Lanling, utterly bewildered by this despicable man's erratic behavior.

Shouldn't the descendants of vampires be loyal?

They should know that their master can create them, and also destroy them at any time!

Even though Beatrice was now incredibly weak, she could still unleash a secret technique to punish her descendants.

A faint crimson halo appeared in Beatrice's eyes, and fleshy wings suddenly sprouted from her ribs. A cold wind inexplicably swept through the abandoned factory.

That strange feeling returned to Lanling's body, but while three days ago Lanling might have struggled to resist such a powerful sensation, now he easily circulated his zombie aura to instantly engulf it.

Lanling let out a cold laugh, the zombie aura within his bloodline surging wildly. He needed to let this woman know who was in control now!

Crackling red lightning crackled around Lanling, and he floated into the air like a demon god amidst the dense zombie aura.

Beatrice was instantly dumbfounded, her delicate body trembling slightly, her small hand clenching so tightly that she dug her nails into her palm.

"Ouch!

This isn't an illusion, oh my god, what's going on?"

Lanling let out a sinister laugh, his ape-like arm extending, a powerful zombie aura sweeping towards Beatrice's body. The frail Beatrice was completely powerless to resist as she was enveloped by the zombie aura. As Lanling withdrew his arm, Beatrice's body was violently thrown towards him, her throat easily choked.

Under Lanling's control, Beatrice could initially struggle a few times, but as Lanling deliberately amplified the zombie aura, her struggles became increasingly feeble, her eyes filled with horror and despair as she looked at Lanling.

Lanling coldly said, "My dear Miss Beatrice, now you should know who can truly control the other's life, right?"

"You…"

Beatrice's throat was being choked by Lanling, her pretty face turning red, speaking with great difficulty.

"You're surprised by everything I'm doing now, aren't you? Let me tell you, it's all real. Haven't you had enough of being my master? From now on, let's switch roles, and I'll be your master, okay?"

Lanling laughed.

"I...I'm going to kill...kill you..."

Beatrice said viciously, but the fear in her eyes betrayed her.

Lanling shook his head and said, "The stupidest people in this world are people like you. Your own lives are in someone else's hands, yet you still say such stubborn things. Believe me, I can take your life at any time. Miss Beatrice, I thought you were a smart person, but I didn't expect you to be so foolish!"

Lanling tightened his grip slightly, and Beatrice's breathing became weaker and weaker. Her pretty face had turned purplish-red, and the shadow of death loomed over her heart. She felt that life was getting further and further away from her...

"Be my slave, or choose death?"

Lanling asked with a smile.

"You...you're dreaming...you...kill me!"

Although Beatrice was terrified, her noble pride would not allow her to compromise. Especially since this slave, who had been so docile to her just two days ago, was now going to be her master. This stark contrast made her feel ashamed and angry, and she wanted to die.

Lanling smiled nonchalantly and said, "If you want to die, I will naturally grant your wish! However, I would be very disappointed if I let you die like this."

As he spoke, Lanling's hand moved slightly, and with a change of hand seals, the zombie aura bound Beatrice within it like a giant balloon, suspending her in mid-air.

Beatrice tried to break free from the zombie aura's restraints, but her body felt as if she had been electrocuted the moment it touched it. How could she possibly break through Lanling's zombie aura, which was at the Silver Fang Golden Armor level?

Lanling flicked his finger, and a drop of blood shot into the giant sphere of zombie aura like lightning, instantly dispersing. The smell of blood would linger in the sphere, tempting the hungry Beatrice and slowly eroding her psychological defenses.

Lanling wasn't worried about Beatrice committing suicide. In Beatrice's eyes, he saw fear and a desire to survive. To put it another way, even if Beatrice did commit suicide, Lanling wouldn't care; he had no affection for this woman whatsoever.

"Miss Beatrice, just enjoy this peaceful life for now! If you want to change your mind, just tell me. Perhaps your pleas will soften my heart, and I won't want to lose your beautiful body..."

Lanling said wickedly.

After speaking, Lanling didn't even glance at Beatrice, turned and walked to a corner, solemnly taking out the Divine Tomb Cauldron.

His intense curiosity compelled him to enter the Divine Tomb Cauldron immediately to find Dijiang's wisp of divine soul, and to try and obtain the unheard-of ingredients used to refine the Blood Pill.

Following the method taught by Jiang Chen, Lanling smoothly entered the Divine Tomb Cauldron. In this mysterious space, blood-red clouds floated, and a chilling wind whistled. Lanling looked around, unsure where to begin.

Where was Dijiang's divine soul sealed by Jiang Chen?

Lanling wandered through the space, pondering deeply.

A moment later, Lanling hovered in mid-air, looking around. He discovered that the wondrous space within the Divine Tomb Cauldron was far larger than he had imagined. If he continued searching aimlessly like this, who knew how long it would take? Moreover, he suddenly realized that he didn't know what state Dijiang's divine soul existed in.

Was it also like Jiang Chen's divine consciousness, with its multicolored light and shadow?

Or was it some other state?

The blood-red clouds in the sky continued to churn as usual, and streaks of blood-red lightning continued to strike the tomb-like protrusion on the ground.

Lanling stared at the ground, and a bold thought suddenly occurred to him: since he was already inside, he couldn't just leave like this. He should at least satisfy his curiosity,

shouldn't he? Was the so-called Divine Tomb Cauldron truly the tomb of a god? If so, what kind of god was it? Dijiang, a being like him, was actually the guardian of this tomb…

Sometimes, if curiosity is aroused and cannot be satisfied, it can feel like a hundred claws scratching at one's heart. The divine tomb was so close; whether or not one's curiosity could be satisfied depended on a single thought.

(Banana and jackfruit!)

"Just looking..." Lanling gritted his teeth. As he neared the ground, he released a thick layer of zombie aura, blocking the blood-red lightning in mid-air.

He randomly found the nearest protrusion, stretched out his arm, his fingers like claws, and unleashed a powerful zombie aura that slammed into the protrusion.

Crash...

The ground shook violently, as if the entire space was about to collapse. The immense force filled Lanling with trepidation.

The protrusion shattered, revealing a ghastly white bone before Lanling's eyes.

Damn!

Just a bone. It seemed impossible to know what kind of being the skeleton belonged to in life. It appeared he had wasted his energy.

Hmm?

A bone?

A god's bone?

Lanling's eyes suddenly lit up. His experience using dental models had given him a special sensitivity to bones.

Bananas and jackfruits… An incredibly powerful thought sprouted in this guy's mind…
