"Let's rest here for a bit," Vanessa said. "Everyone must be tired."

Claire then gently raised her hand, and a tall ice wall gradually formed around the rock,

encircling to prevent the monsters in the jungle from suddenly appearing and catching them off guard.

Alice and Louise seemed to be seeing such a magnificent ice wall for the first time, and couldn't help but glance at it a few more times.

Alice laughed and said to Claire, "Hehe...this is really convenient. If I need ice for drinks in the future, I can just

ask you to conjure it up!"

Claire retorted, "Hmph! You wish! I'm not your servant!"

To avoid another argument, Ulysses quickly took out some dry rations from his backpack and distributed them to everyone.

Alice took a bite of the rations and immediately complained, "Ugh...this rations are so

awful ! Dry and bitter, is this even edible?"

Ulysses comforted her, "Ha...I bought these from the bar owner today, Miss Alice, please bear

with them ."

Alice complained, "Hmph...they dare to sell something this awful! I'll definitely give

the owner a good scolding when I get back!"

Claire and Vanessa didn't say anything to Alice's complaints and quietly continued eating their

rations.

Suddenly, the yellow-feathered toucan stirred, seemingly afraid of something! Ulysses and Vanessa quickly

grabbed their weapons. Claire, Alice, and Louise remained on guard.

After a while, a loud rustling sound came from the depths of the forest, and dozens of lizard-like monsters leaped out. These

monsters stood on their thick hind legs, their long, slender forelimbs waving in the air, their claws gleaming black. They

were about 2 meters tall, with huge, elongated heads and U-shaped mouths full of sharp teeth!

These monsters seemed to have smelled the familiar scent of the yellow-feathered toucan, and had followed the scent to find this place. A few of

the bolder monsters rushed forward and grabbed the ice wall that Claire had created.

Claire asked fearfully, "Waaah... Vanessa, what kind of monsters are these? How come

so many of them appeared all at once?"

Vanessa explained, "These should be giant green lizards. They hunt in packs and are very fast. It's easy to get surrounded and killed

if you're not careful !"

Alice asked Vanessa with worry, "What do we do now? Should I use 'Enhancement' to force

my way out?"

Vanessa replied, "No! Claire, attack them with ice pillars first and see if they leave."

"Okay, good."

Claire raised her hands, conjuring several huge ice pillars outside the ice wall, and then they all

flew ! The green giant lizards quickly jumped and dodged, and the ice pillars hitting the ground made a loud noise!

Only one green giant lizard was not paying attention and was hit directly on the head by an ice pillar, collapsing to the ground and rolling around in pain with blood gushing out! Seeing this,

the other green giant lizards also wisely retreated back into the depths of the jungle, while the green giant lizard that was hit

managed to get up and slowly leave.

Seeing the green giant lizards leave, Olympus praised Claire, saying, "Haha! Claire is really

amazing, she chased them away in no time!"

Claire, equally pleased by Olympus's praise, replied, "Hehe... really?"

Alice, however, was a little jealous, saying, "Hmph... not bad!"

Vanessa continued, "Alright, before these green giant lizards turn back, let's hurry and find the dragon's

lair ! We'll eat the rest of our rations while we ride."

So Claire opened a gap in the ice wall, and Olympus and the others mounted the toucan and quickly left the

dangerous place.
