The Supreme Beauty (Chapters 7 & 8)

For over ten days since entering the palace, Lou Lingbo had not seen Jun Rongtian again, nor could she beg him to release Xiao Lengqing. She was like a caged bird, her wings broken, yet unable to find a way out, still trapped in this magnificent prison, resignedly waiting.
Early this morning, Lady Hu ordered a maid to bring a bouquet of moonflowers and place it in a vase beside her bedside table. She said the flower's fragrance was peculiar and might help her fall asleep.
Lou Lingbo guessed that Lady Hu, with her shrewd mind, must have seen the two dark shadows beneath her eyes and felt pity for her.
The fragrance of the moonflowers gradually intensified in the room, carrying a hint of eeriness. Lou Lingbo couldn't help but frown, feeling a churning discomfort in her chest.
She leaned against the bed to rest, her slender hands tightly clutching her uncomfortable chest, her face slightly pale, her long eyelashes trembling slightly.
"Hua'er."
Jun Rongtian walked up to her, calling her softly. His large, calloused hand caressed her face, the back of his fingers tracing the delicate skin of her cheek.
She suddenly opened her bright eyes, looking at his face in surprise. She hadn't expected to see him today. She stepped back, avoiding his hand.
"Don't touch me," she said coldly.
"Why? You clearly like it, don't you?" He smiled wildly, mature and worldly.
"It's just a physical reaction, nothing more." Her eyes were clear and empty, yet for some reason, her heart churned even more violently.
"Is that so?" He didn't comment, his large hand skillfully removing the hairpin that bound her hair, letting her cloud-like hair cascade down, sparkling like starlight.
"You—" she exclaimed, reaching out her slender hand to press down her slightly disheveled hair, her beautiful face lowered, making her look even more charming and alluring.
"Hua'er," he whispered softly in her ear.
She stiffly turned her face away, her voice muffled as she said, "I'm not the Hua'er you speak of. Let me go! Your Majesty, is the thing a ruler of a nation enjoys most about stealing other men's wives?"
"No, I want to steal you. Even if you are someone else's wife, I will still take you into my hands. Hua'er, for all eternity, you will be mine."
Lou Lingbo sighed softly, shaking her head helplessly, and said, "Why? From the moment we first met, you haven't let me go. Perhaps Lingbo has some beauty, but as the ruler of a nation, you have no shortage of stunning beauties around you!"
"None of them are you." He smiled a rather thought-provoking smile, lowering his face to gently kiss her fair earlobe.
"No!" She raised her slender hand, about to slap his cheek.
In the blink of an eye, her hand was gripped in his iron-like hand, and his deep laughter echoed in her ears. "Don't be presumptuous."
His breath warmed her heart, and Lou Lingbo quickly closed her eyes, shaking off the shameful thoughts that surged within her. "Don't force me to die."
"You won't die until I allow it." His tall, imposing body pressed down on her, pinning her slender body to the bed, unable to move.
Her eyes, like autumn water, stared blankly at him, and she bit her lip, letting out a helpless whisper, "Sometimes, I'd rather die..."
"You dare!" He grabbed her arm fiercely, his voice hard, "If you die, even if I have to chase you to the underworld, I will bring you back, Hua'er, I mean what I say!"
"It hurts... let me go..." She felt as if her arm was about to be torn off, looking timidly at his cold, cruel expression.
Jun Rongtian's eyes darkened, a flicker of dark desire rising within them. He lowered his lips, sealing her soft, sweet mouth with his own, his tongue freely probing her moist, hidden depths, exploring and sucking with abandon.
His lips burned her, and Lou Lingbo felt a warm heat seep into her chest, gripping her heart tightly. She didn't know how to refuse, gradually sinking into the waves of passion, her heart swaying with his kisses.
"Mmm..." His palm covered her flat stomach, gently caressing it. Before she could react, he grasped a full, round mound, lovingly caressing it.
The fragrance of moonlit flowers grew stronger without her noticing, permeating her nostrils with his breath. Her body felt weak and hot, her heart aching and churning.
He took the opportunity to loosen her clothes, revealing two full breasts. The thin summer gauze couldn't withstand his rough handling; the delicate fabric shattered into pieces.
Her private bodice was adorned with butterflies embroidered in silver-white silk thread. Jun Rongtian's tongue wickedly licked the raised butterfly marks, then he took her nipples, stretched taut beneath the silk, into his mouth, sliding his tongue along the hardened, engorged pearls.
"No..." A flush rose on her fair and delicate face. She bit her lip, gradually losing the strength to resist under his manipulation.
A surge of desire rose within her slender body, a warm current flowing through her flat abdomen, a dull ache and spasms, yet also a stinging pleasure.
She shouldn't be like this, yet—
"Hua'er." With this soft call, the crescent-white bodice was ripped off, and her two snow-white breasts were grasped in his hands, wantonly sucking and kneading.
"No... this... it can't be..." She let out a shameful murmur, twisting her body, her watery eyes glistening with tears.
Between him and her, this shouldn't be!
He seemed oblivious, forcefully parting her jade-like legs, his male knee pressing against the softness between her thighs, seemingly intentionally, yet unintentionally, teasing the most tender spot between her legs.
His large hands lifted her skirt, unfastened her underpants, and his fingers probed among the soft hairs, parting her slightly moist lips, finding the tiny flower hidden there.
"Stop!" Her body trembled slightly, a flicker of pleasure washing over her.
"Don't refuse me anymore, Hua'er, I can no longer resist your urges." He pinched her delicate nipples with his long fingers, wantonly teasing them.
"No… I'm already… Brother Xiao's woman…" she managed to utter, feeling her private parts gradually become wet and moist under his touch, wetting his fingers, making a shameful, soft gurgling sound.
"I said you wouldn't be any man's wife but mine!" he said domineeringly, his long fingers attacking the soft flower between her legs with wicked madness.
"No... I mean... we've already... ah... stop..." Her nipples tingled slightly with sensitivity, and her secret place kept secreting fluid, becoming full and engorged under his long fingers, glowing with a watery red light.
The fragrance of moonflowers exuded an eerie scent, lingering in her chest, making her feel suffocated and wanting to vomit.
Her thoughts were in turmoil, a burning desire raging in her abdomen, her mind blank. She utterly loathed her own lewdness, why couldn't she resist his teasing, even... enjoying it!
At this thought, her eyes widened, and suddenly a sour feeling welled up in her stomach, rising uncontrollably to her throat. She quickly rolled over, her slender body leaning off the bed, clutching her chest as she vomited the sour mixture of saliva and fluid.
"Hua'er—"
Jun Rongtian stared in astonishment at her suddenly pale face, helped her up, and let her weak body lean against him.
"Hua'er, are you alright?"
"No... I feel so awful... Please take the moonflowers... away..." she whispered with difficulty, her slender hand clutching her chest, the other pressing against her churning stomach.
Upon hearing this, Jun Rongtian hurriedly stood up, picked up the bouquet of moonflowers, walked to the window, and threw it out the window forcefully. He then ordered the palace maid guarding the door, "Summon the imperial physician!"
"Yes!" The palace maid hurriedly left, not daring to delay for even a moment.
*********
Lou Lingbo lay leaning against the side of the bed, her eyes half-closed, faintly revealing a bright light. Her fair wrist extended from behind the gauze curtains, allowing the imperial physician to take her pulse.
Although she was also a doctor, she had no mind to diagnose herself, only wanting to let her mind go blank, feeling that life might be happier if she didn't think about anything.
The imperial physician focused on taking her pulse, and after a short while, he chuckled, withdrew his hand, stood up, bowed to Jun Rongtian, and reported, "Your Majesty, it is good news. She is more than a month pregnant."
Upon hearing this, Jun Rongtian's face darkened, a storm brewing over him, and he said in a cold, hard tone, "Say it again, what exactly is wrong with her?"
Lou Lingbo's heart pounded, her feelings extremely complicated, unable to distinguish between joy and sorrow. Hearing Jun Rongtian's furious voice, she panicked and didn't know what to do.
Jun Rongtian felt as if he had been struck hard in the chest, a dull ache
gripping him. His palm resting on his flat stomach, Lou Lingbo looked up at Jun Rongtian's tall, hazy yet still intensely intimidating figure outside the gauze curtain, his heart feeling as if it had been stabbed.
"Your Majesty," Lou Lingbo said, "I have diagnosed her with pregnancy. Furthermore, there is a strange energy coursing through her body, like poison or a curse, which I cannot identify. I suspect it is a poison used by the Tantric sect. If she is not treated quickly, it is difficult to say how long she will survive. The most dangerous time is during childbirth. The mother will inevitably lose a great deal of energy and blood, exhausting her strength. At that time, the poison will take effect severely, and she will surely die."
The imperial physicians, who have treated the royal family for many years, must have a general understanding of various subjects. Especially given the cunning and treacherous nature of the palace, where poisons are often used to harm people invisibly, they need considerable knowledge of poisons. Fortunately, he had once studied under a Tantric master and had some knowledge of them.
"Enough, you may leave." A cold smile suddenly appeared on Jun Rongtian's lips. With a wave of his hand, he coldly dismissed the imperial physician.
The atmosphere remained tense for a moment. Suddenly, Jun Rongtian pulled back the gauze curtains, revealing ripples of moon-white fabric. He roughly lifted Lou Lingbo from the bed, his malevolent eyes narrowing dangerously as he stared at her.
"No—" She closed her eyes, unable to bear the raging fire in his gaze. Her face was pale, her lips bloodless, trembling slightly.
"A little over a month pregnant, excellent, truly excellent!" His tone was extremely sarcastic and cold, yet the anger in his words burned like flames.
"I not only want to become Brother Xiao's wife, but I've already given him my body. Please, let us go! Don't make things difficult for us anymore!" she choked out, crystal tears rolling down her cheeks. Looking up at his cold face, her heart ached terribly. How could she
bear this? Her heart was filled with longing for him!
Jun Rongtian smiled faintly, then snorted coldly, "No, I will imprison you for the rest of my life. Even if you bear his child, I will make you bear my offspring!"
"No! How could you? I don't want to... I don't want to..." How could a woman be matched with two husbands? She couldn't imagine it, nor did she want to think about it.
"Whether you want it or not, it's not up to you." He smiled cruelly, forcefully grabbing her arm and leading her up the stairs. "
What are you doing? Let me go, let me go!" She barely managed to keep up with him, her small steps nearly causing her to fall down the stairs several times.
Deep inside the stairs was a dark place, originally used for storing miscellaneous items, but it hadn't been used for a long time.
Jun Rongtian opened the small door, pushed her inside, stared at her pale face for a moment, then slammed the door shut and locked it without a word.
"You can't do this... Let me out! Jun Rongtian, let me out!" She pounded on the door with all her might, but found it unusually hard. Something important must have been stored inside before, hence the stringent security.
"After dealing with Xiao Lengqing, I'll come back to you. Perhaps then I'll have a change of heart and let you out." Jun Rongtian's tone was cold, tinged with a sinister smile.
"No! Please spare Brother Xiao, don't kill him, please!" Cries escaped her lips as she pounded on the door until her palms bled, still unwilling to give up.
The other side of the door was now silent. Jun Rongtian hardened his heart and turned away, leaving only her low sobs in the dim space.
Lou Lingbo turned back. A faint light shone through the darkness, allowing her to see the surrounding furnishings. She realized the room was not small, in fact, alarmingly large.
Inside the room, there was even a clean bed, as if someone had once lived there. Thinking this, she couldn't help but shudder.
Perhaps behind that thick, hard door lay not objects, but living people!
**********
"Do you really think no one knows your true identity?"
Xiao Lengqing raised her eyes, glaring at Jun Rongtian's cold expression. She wasn't too surprised to see him, and snorted coldly, saying, "I don't understand what you mean."
"Oh? Then let me explain to your fiancée, tell her that you've come seeking revenge, burdened with hatred, because your parents were injured saving Lou Yunnan, but he repaid kindness with enmity, not only failing to save them but also taking away your Divine Doctor Valley's family heirloom and setting fire to the valley, causing your family's destruction. Xiao Lengqing, am I telling the truth?" Jun Rongtian smiled faintly, yet his brows revealed a deep hatred for Xiao Lengqing.
"How do you know all this? Who told you?" Xiao Lengqing was terrified. She tugged at the iron ring tightly binding her wrist, and the clanging of the chains in the cell was extremely jarring.
"Nangong Huang, do you remember him? He told me everything. Oh, right, I forgot to warn you, be careful of him. But it's okay to tell you now, so you can go to the underworld and die knowing the truth." Jun Rongtian sneered, toying with a key in his hand. The lock was now tightly fastened to the door of the small attic, where Lou Lingbo was imprisoned.
The thought of her tearful face instantly soured Jun Rongtian's mood, though his deep voice remained soft and low. "A few days ago, my men discovered that Lou Yunnan did take the secret manual, but it was Nangong Huang who set fire to the Divine Doctor Valley. Your parents realized Nangong Huang was untrustworthy, so they entrusted the manual to Lou Yunnan. For years, you've been deceived by Nangong Huang. Well? Did you hear that?" He raised an eyebrow and smiled at him, coldly observing his rival's disheveled state.
"You're lying!" Xiao Lengqing roared furiously.
"Whether you're lying or not, you can figure it out yourself. But you don't have time anymore. Today is your death day!" Jun Rongtian's smile vanished.
"Kill me to get Xiao Lou?" Xiao Lengqing wasn't afraid of death at all; the only thing he cared about was Lou Lingbo. The thought of never seeing her again made death suddenly terrifying and hateful to him!
"What do you think? Today, the imperial physician examined her pulse and discovered she's over a month pregnant. When I heard this news, I wanted nothing more than to tear you to pieces!" Jun Rongtian's voice was icy cold. He turned and drew the sword from a guard, mercilessly pressing it against Xiao Lengqing's neck.
"She's pregnant?" Xiao Lengqing's heart leaped with joy upon hearing this.
"That's right, but why don't you consider how much you owe her? Nangong Huang destroyed your family, but who killed over ten people from the Lou family fortress? Have you ever thought about it carefully? Lou Li was a loyal servant of the Divine Doctor Valley back then, wasn't he!" Jun Rongtian's eyes were like frost, coldly reminding him.
Xiao Lengqing was completely stunned. His handsome, scholarly face turned deathly pale. He stared blankly at Jun Rongtian, his heart filled with confusion.
Was he the one who destroyed the Lou family?
Chapter Eight.
The door to the pavilion slowly opened, and two palace maids stood by the door, bowing respectfully. "Miss Lou, please come with us."
Lou Lingbo looked up at the sound of their voices. Her small face was streaked with tears, but her eyes were incredibly dry, unable to shed another tear. She felt exhausted and stood up. A black mist filled her vision, making her dizzy. She grabbed the wall for support and slowly made her way forward.
Finally, she stepped out of the pavilion, took a breath of fresh air, and felt a little better. Then she slowly walked down the stairs, only to find Jun Rongtian waiting for her below.
At this moment, he raised his cold gaze, staring intently at her small face.
"Brother Xiao... is Brother Xiao still alive? Don't kill him, I beg you, don't kill him!" She grabbed her skirt and ran down the stairs, almost tumbling down the stairs.
Jun Rongtian, quick-witted and agile, leaped forward, his long arm sweeping her into his embrace. He stared expressionlessly at her pale face.
"Come with me." He grabbed her slender wrist and forcefully pulled her away.
"No! Where are you taking me? What about Brother Xiao? How is he? You didn't kill him, did you? You won't kill him, will you?" She pressed him urgently from behind, only to find him silent, like a taciturn gourd.
"He's alive, that's true, but I never promised not to kill him!" He gave her a cold glance, then turned and strode away.
"Please let me see him—"
He abruptly interrupted her desperate pleas, his voice chilling, "Do you want to come with me? Or do you want to go back to that little attic?"
"No! I don't want to go back to that place…" The seemingly endless darkness there, while not terrifying enough, reminded her of many past events. So much had happened around her these past few days. She was now all alone, yet entangled with two men. Her heart was in turmoil; she didn't want to be alone, so she could think things through more clearly.
Jun Rongtian smiled coldly and said, "That place is used to punish disobedient concubines. It seems quite effective on you now."
Her clear eyes welled up with tears again with sorrow. How could she tell him that she didn't want things to turn out this way either? She didn't want it to be this way either!
********
The secret palace outside the capital was a place known only to emperors throughout history. It was usually guarded by imperial guards, heavily fortified. Without the emperor's order, no one could leave freely.
Supported by Jun Rongtian, Lou Lingbo stepped off the carriage. Everywhere she looked was a cherry blossom-colored landscape; the buildings were magnificent and splendid, exuding a noble and imposing aura.
He led her into a small courtyard, where cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Amidst the falling petals, he took her hand and, without allowing her to refuse, pushed open the door to one of the rooms, gesturing for her to go inside.
"Stay here obediently. I'll find the antidote for you. If you dare to make a move, Xiao Lengqing will surely die." He coldly uttered these words and turned to leave.
Lou Lingbo was stunned for a long time, then couldn't help but chase after him, hesitating to speak, "I thought... you wouldn't let me have the child..."
"You don't want to have the child?" He turned back, raising an eyebrow and coldly scrutinizing her.
"Of course I want to!" she hurriedly replied, a gentle smile curving her lips. "This is my and Brother Xiao's child; there's no reason not to give birth to him."
Seeing her gentle smile, Jun Rongtian felt a surge of cold anger. Slowly, he raised an icy smile. "Then I'll grant your wish! He's another tool I use to threaten you. With the child in my hands, I'm not afraid you'll leave heartlessly!" "
You—" She turned her delicate, beautiful face away, a sigh escaping her lips, a helpless sorrow rising in her heart.
When she looked back again, his figure was already receding into the distance. She stared intently as his tall figure disappeared into the woods, a sudden surge of tears welling up in her heart.
In that instant, she felt like crying.
********
Amidst an endless expanse of cherry blossom pink, stood a peerless beauty. Her delicate face was tinged with a light sorrow, and a moon-white autumn dress draped over her slender body.
These past few days, Lou Lingbo couldn't help but marvel at the unique cherry blossoms here. The autumn breeze was cool, yet they bloomed still, no less beautiful than in spring.
"Miss."
Lou Lingbo slowly turned around, surprised by the identity of the person who approached. She hadn't expected to see Ling'er here, but she wasn't foolish enough not to know that Ling'er had abducted her to Jun Rongtian's side.
"Brother Xiao is right, I shouldn't have taken you in. But I'm always too soft-hearted. Often, I can't help but hate this weakness of mine. It seems that anyone can completely defeat, crush, and shatter me by exploiting my soft heart!" She couldn't help but laugh self-deprecatingly, the heartache of being betrayed by Ling'er throbbing faintly in her chest.
"Ling'er swears to be loyal to her master to the death. If she has offended you, please forgive her, Miss. But I want you to know one thing: Master truly loves you. He has been watching over you for a very, very long time. I have never seen him cherish anyone so much—"
"I don't remember ever raising such a disobedient girl! Fei Ling, get out of here. My thoughts are not for you to analyze." A cold male voice, like an ice blade, cut off Fei Ling's words.
"Master!" Fei Ling cried out, her delicate face filled with fear and respect.
"Flying Fox!" Jun Rongtian shouted coldly.
Immediately, a swift black shadow snatched Fei Ling away, stirring up a slight breeze. Cherry petals danced in the wind, spreading crimson across the ground.
Lou Lingbo stared at Jun Rongtian, all the words she wanted to say stuck in her throat. She could only look at him silently, maintaining her arrogance.
Jun Rongtian's eyes were intense, yet filled with a deep chill. He glanced at her, then turned and left coldly.
Here and now, he didn't want to see her, to see another man's child growing in her womb!
This fact was enough to shatter all his reason!
***********
Time flew by, and autumn turned to winter in the blink of an eye, with snow falling heavily.
Jun Rongtian never set foot in the mysterious palace again. However, this separation made it impossible for him not to think of Lou Lingbo.
In the imperial study, he stood proudly alone, holding a painting in his hand. In the painting was Lou Lingbo's slender figure, her face smiling gently, exuding an indescribable charm.
At this moment, a dark figure flashed into the study. Feihu knelt behind Jun Rongtian, his clear voice respectfully rising, "My lord, I have learned the formula for the antidote from the Western Regions, but we are still missing one ingredient, which we haven't obtained yet."
"I can wait, but she can't wait any longer, Feihu, you should know that!" Jun Rongtian said coldly, his deep black eyes still fixed on the figure in the painting, never looking away for a moment.
"I understand, but there's something you must know, sir." Flying Fox remained expressionless, maintaining his usual style.
"Speak!" Jun Rongtian nodded.
"I already know this poison is Soul-Dissolving Powder, presumably administered by Lou Li. It can lurk in the body for a long time, taking lives unnoticed. His heart is far too cruel. Even if he has a deep hatred for the Lou family, he shouldn't have used this poison."
"From what you've said, the matter seems quite troublesome?" Jun Rongtian raised an eyebrow.
Flying Fox raised his head and said seriously, "Sir, even if we obtain the antidote and take it, the poison won't be completely neutralized..."
**********
A stunningly beautiful woman sat by the window in the attic. Her pale complexion could not conceal her unparalleled beauty, and her frail body seemed as if it might be swept away by the cold wind at any moment.
"Miss, the Emperor has arrived."
With this announcement, Lou Lingbo slowly turned her head, stood up, and looked at the person who had arrived. Her swollen belly seemed as if it would collapse under the weight of her delicate body at any moment.
Jun Rongtian walked into her line of sight with unhurried steps. His cold eyes were fixed on her beautiful face.
"I have obtained the antidote."
Upon hearing this, a hint of joy flashed in Lou Lingbo's autumn-water eyes, faint, and disappeared into the depths of her pupils in the next instant.
"Give it to me, or it will be too late!"
Hearing her slightly urgent tone, he slowly curled into a cold smile, his deep eyes revealing a hatred that could chill the heart.
"Giving you the antidote is easy, but what will you give me in return?" His long fingers lifted her delicate chin, his sharp eagle eyes staring directly into her tear-filled, icy gaze.
"I..." She bit her bloodless lips, shaking her head, "No... I can't betray him, I can't..."
Jun Rongtian smiled coldly, toying with the white jade bottle in his hand. His leisurely demeanor clearly exuded an imposing aura. When his eyes met her beautiful yet pale face, a fierce love mixed with hatred flickered within them, and his charming eyes, etched with fine lines, narrowed coldly.
"Today is my fourth son's tenth birthday. I, as his father, am worried about what to give him. I want you to swear on Xiao Lengqing's status in the martial arts world that if the child in your womb is a boy, you will be the fourth prince's slave for life. If it is a girl, whether the prince makes her a concubine or a prostitute is up to her own fate." He finished speaking, coldly staring at the now pale face, a cruel and ruthless smile playing on his thin lips, like a demon.
Lou Lingbo's mind went blank. No…no, she couldn't agree to his cruel conditions. Xiao Lengqing…the father of her unborn child was the current leader of the martial arts alliance! How could she let his child become a slave or a prostitute?
And she had almost forgotten that he possessed all the women in his harem, who bore him children! A pang of jealousy surged into Lou Lingbo's heart. In the next instant, she felt utterly ridiculous and pathetic!
"No! If you insist, I'd rather die!" She raised her sharp eyes, fearlessly meeting his cold gaze.
How could he... how could he force her like this?
"Oh?" Jun Rongtian raised an eyebrow indifferently, saying casually, "It seems you don't need the antidote anymore, so destroying it won't matter." As he spoke, he channeled his inner energy, slowly emanating heat from his large palm, about to turn the white jade bottle to ashes.
"No—"
Overwhelmed with emotion, she grasped his warm hand with her slender fingers, raising her tearful eyes to gaze at him, shaking her head sadly, her delicate brows tightly furrowed with sorrow.
"I beg you... don't do this. If Lingbo could be divided in two, fairly between the two of you, perhaps we wouldn't have so many regrets..." What was so extraordinary about her that made a king fall in love with her, and a martial arts leader intoxicated by her? Yet there was only one Lou Lingbo. How could two men of such power share her equally?
"I can promise you I won't kill Xiao Lengqing, nor will I touch your body, but your child must be given to me. Xiao Si'er will definitely love the grand gift I'm giving him." He ignored her tearful eyes and her pleas, only giving her a charmingly wicked smile. Seeing her biting her lip to refuse, he wickedly captured her soft lips. "Think before you shake your head. Xiao Lengqing is still in the Heavenly Prison awaiting my judgment!"
My? Hearing those noble words from his mouth, Lou Lingbo was stunned. She clearly understood that the man before her could easily destroy everything she had. Easily destroy it, as easily as killing an ant, whether it was Xiao Lengqing, herself, or the child in her womb who hadn't yet seen the light of day—
"I beg you... no... I can't give you the child..." Lou Lingbo's breathing gradually became rapid. She clutched her stomach, her expression pained.
A strange look flashed across Jun Rongtian's dark eyes, but the wicked smile on his lips remained unchanged. "Then I'll kill Xiao Lengqing. You won't get the antidote then, so take your unborn child to the underworld to meet him!"
Lou Lingbo's heart trembled. Without the antidote, she wouldn't survive the poison's effects! "Lingbo's death is fine, but the child... the child is innocent... please don't force me anymore!"
His gaze was cold and indifferent. His large hand gripped her slender arm, and he said coldly, "The antidote is in my hands. Do you want it or not?"
Lou Lingbo's stomach was in excruciating pain. Waves of cramping pain made her collapse to the ground. She looked up at the white jade bottle he was shaking in his hand.
Her eyes, like autumn water, rose slightly, and she saw his icy face. A dull pain shot through her heart. She gritted her teeth and slowly nodded in agreement.
"Fine, let the child live. Consider this life a debt I owe you. Please... save the child..." Crystalline tears fell continuously, blurring her vision.
"Even at this critical juncture, you still only want to preserve Xiao Lengqing's bloodline," Jun Rongtian said calmly and coldly, his long arm sweeping out to carry Lou Lingbo to the warm kang (heated brick bed) to lie down.
"No..." Lou Lingbo wanted to deny it, but could only stare at his icy face, unable to utter a single word, letting tears flow freely. It wasn't what he thought, it wasn't!
Jun Rongtian poured a blood-red pill from the white jade bottle, put it in his own mouth, and fed it back to her pale lips. In an instant, the blood stained her lips, creating a striking contrast with her paper-white cheeks.
Lou Lingbo was stunned for a moment, then let his lips kiss her wildly. His large hands explored her cloud-like black hair, their four lips intertwined, inseparable.
"Ugh..."
A sudden pain jolted her back to her senses. She reached out and pushed against his chest, but couldn't budge him an inch.
He seemed to want to brand his mark on her lips, his touch possessive and lingering. Slowly, he released her stained lips, gazing at her pale, yet still breathtakingly beautiful face. A smileless smirk appeared on his lips as he stood up and turned to leave.
"Someone!"
With a cold, low shout, servants and maids carried buckets of boiling water, dry cloths, and scissors into the room. He glanced back at Lou Lingbo, then left without looking back.
Lou Lingbo turned her head to watch his departing figure, biting her lips where he had just kissed her, tears streaming down her face again...
**********
"Your Majesty, the child has been born, a beautiful baby girl." The midwife carried the newborn infant to the hall, kneeling respectfully before the man.
Jun Rongtian coldly glanced at the baby girl's rosy face, then turned away, not wanting to look at her any longer. He coldly commanded, "Yuerong, this child is now in your care. Do not fail to do so."
"Yes, Yuerong understands." A gentle woman in her early thirties stepped out from behind the hall, took the infant from the midwife's arms, and carefully cared for her.
The wind and snow outside continued, the biting wind chilling to the bone, just like Jun Rongtian's frosty expression.
**********
"Go and bring him to me!"
Upon hearing Jun Rongtian's order, Feihu felt a pang of unease. He naturally knew who his master was referring to, but he was surprised by his unusual desire to see that person.
"He's in the Heavenly Prison. With just a word from you, Master, it shouldn't be difficult to see him. Why do you specifically order me to bring him here?" Feihu was puzzled.
"What's the use of imprisoning him if I don't kill him? I need you to bring him here because he still has some things he forgot to do!" Jun Rongtian lazily rested his chin on his hand, closed his eyes, and said calmly, "Go and secretly bring him out. Tomorrow, someone will be beheaded in his name for a cause of death. I want the whole world to believe that Xiao Lengqing is dead!"
Although Feihu didn't understand Jun Rongtian's intentions, he still nodded loyally. In the next instant, he had already transformed into a black shadow and disappeared.
