First regret

The first account of what happened was plain but true.
I'd been in contact with my older brother online for a long time, and finally, after get off work today, I could fulfill my long-cherished wish. Driving my wife towards our destination, she was constantly panting, seemingly unable to suppress her excitement or anticipation. Later, she admitted it was excitement, haha.
Upon arriving at our destination, I called my older brother. He told us to wait at the entrance of the residential complex. I saw a man and a woman come out. My brother, being athletic, was quite robust, and his wife had fair skin with red and white stripes running horizontally across her face. She wore shorts and sandals, and was very attractive. Since my brother said we should meet first and see how it goes, we had a quick meal. I then asked my brother for his opinion, and he suggested we get a hotel room. Unfortunately, neither of us had our ID cards with us. I went to the hotel and asked the staff if a driver's license would be acceptable. The staff gave a rather disheartening answer: ID cards were required. Sigh, this prevented us from going. Later, my brother comforted us, saying that it was good to have taken the first step, and we could contact each other anytime.
