This might be a bit long-winded! But I feel I have to make this detail clear. Then we went upstairs, ordered, and sat down. We started eating and chatting. The first time, we each had a small glass; my wife didn't drink because she was driving later. After about three ounces of liquor, he started talking more. I said, "That's enough! Let's not drink anymore, let's chat for a bit." He said, "Just a little more," and I couldn't refuse, so we each had half a glass less. As we ate and drank, he started talking a lot, about traditional Chinese medicine, international affairs, and health and wellness. Finally, he poured the rest of the liquor from the bottle into his glass and drank it down in a few gulps. I felt he was a little drunk. He said it was fine, nothing at all. She said it wasn't very good, and he'd had quite a bit to drink, so if it wasn't good, we should just forget about it. I said, "Since we're out here, let's have some fun! One last time." My wife silently agreed. When it came time to pay, another problem arose. I don't know if he was genuinely drunk or doing it on purpose, but he kept fumbling with his wallet. I couldn't stand it and quickly paid the bill. When you're out having fun, you don't care about such small things; it's only a couple hundred yuan. Then we walked together, and I suggested we find a place, maybe a family apartment? I felt it would be safer and more private.
