A Sip of Water - Chapter 61

As expected, Luo Xuran woke up late. When she first woke up, she couldn't fully adjust to the environment and her mind was in a daze for a moment before she realized that this was Zheng Fanlin's house.
When Luo Xuran hurriedly dressed and ran down the stairs, the father and his two sons were laughing and eating breakfast at the dining table.

"Sit down and have breakfast first, then I'll get you a car."
Seeing that Zheng Fanlin had no intention of compromising, Luo Xuran could only sit down and quickly eat a few bites of toast. Zheng Fanlin then brought the milk to her and said, "Drink it."
Luo Xuran picked up the milk and drank it all in one gulp. Zheng Fanlin shook his head disapprovingly and said to Pipi and Qiuqiu, "Mom demonstrated the wrong way to eat breakfast. You can't do that, you know? If you eat as quickly as Mom does, you'll get indigestion and then you'll get gastroenteritis."
Luo Xuran immediately lost face and said in embarrassment and annoyance, "Mom is in a hurry and is afraid of delaying the filming process."
"Pipi, Qiuqiu, eat slowly. If you're not full, ask Auntie to get you more. Daddy will go conjure up a toy car for Mommy."
"Okay, goodbye Mom."
Luo Xuran kissed her two sons on the cheek, then picked up her handbag and followed Zheng Fanlin out. Zheng Fanlin's cars were all the flashy type, just like his personality, guaranteed to attract attention. Luo Xuran didn't want to be so high-profile that people would point fingers behind her back.
There were several cars parked in the garage, but the Mazda 6 was the least eye-catching. Luo Xuran pointed to it and said, "This one will do."
Zheng Fanlin took the keys off the shelf and handed them to Luo Xuran. He then immediately put his arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace. "My sons all got kisses, so do I."
Luo Xuran tried to struggle a few times, but as she expected, she couldn't break free from Zheng Fanlin's hold. She kissed his lips, and his nimble tongue plunged into her mouth, licking and swirling around with fierce and forceful movements. Luo Xuran kept bending over, and Zheng Fanlin kept pressing closer, making her back feel like it was about to break before the passionate kiss finally ended.
"Drive carefully, call me if anything happens, I almost forgot your phone."
As Zheng Fanlin spoke, he took Luo Xuran's phone out of his pocket. Luo Xuran asked with slight concern, "You didn't do anything to my phone, did you?"
"What tricks could you possibly pull? Didn't you say you were going to be late? Hurry up and go."
Luo Xuran had a bad feeling, but time was of the essence, and she didn't want to waste time dealing with Zheng Fanlin. She took the phone from him and got into the car. She rolled down the window and said, "Don't take Pipi and Qiuqiu out yet, so that reporters don't take pictures of them and write all sorts of nonsense, causing them trouble."
"I know what I'm doing. You'd better be careful."
"Okay, I'm leaving now."
"Oh, I almost forgot, you have a hickey below your collarbone, remember to wear your clothes higher up."
As soon as Luo Xuran saw the smile on Zheng Fanlin's face, she knew he was doing it on purpose. She immediately pulled down the mirror in the car and gently pulled down her clothes. Zheng Fanlin watched the car drive away, stood there and chuckled softly, before slowly strolling back to the restaurant. Pipi and Qiuqiu had already finished breakfast and were sitting obediently on the sofa watching TV. When they saw Zheng Fanlin come in, they called out "Dad" in their childish voices.
Zheng Fanlin walked over quietly and asked, "What would you like to play today?"
"Watch Daddy swim!" Pipi clapped his hands and shouted.
"Alright then. Let's go to the pool and see who gets there first, okay?"
"I'm the fastest!" Qiuqiu ran out first.
The weather is too cold for swimming now, but Zheng Fanlin exercises regularly. It was a little cold when he first stepped into the water, but he soon got used to the water temperature. Pipi and Qiuqiu ran around the poolside, cheering him on, and ended up sweating profusely.
Zheng Fanlin swam around a few times before coming ashore. The two little ones immediately handed him a towel and a bathrobe. Zheng Fanlin happily praised them, "Good son."
"Dad, you're amazing."
Zheng Fanlin was naturally proud to receive praise from his son. "When the weather gets warmer, Dad will teach you how to swim again."
"Yes." Pipi and Qiuqiu nodded emphatically.
"Dad, I think I see a cut on your body."
"Really?" Zheng Fanlin didn't feel any pain, so he didn't take it seriously.
"I saw them too, there were several of them, all red."
Zheng Fanlin instantly understood. Pipi and Qiuqiu were probably referring to the marks Luo Xuran had left on him yesterday. He couldn't help but smile and said, "I was just scratched by a little leopard."
"A little leopard?" Pipi and Qiuqiu immediately looked around in alarm, fearing that the little leopard would come and grab them.
"Don't be afraid, that little leopard won't hurt you."
"Really?"
"Really. Okay, go sit down and rest for a bit. Dad will take care of some business."
Upon hearing that Zheng Fanlin had to attend to official business, Pipi and Qiuqiu immediately sat quietly without disturbing him. The aunt served them carefully prepared desserts, and although they had just eaten breakfast, Pipi and Qiuqiu couldn't resist the temptation and began to enjoy them.
Zheng Fanlin took out his laptop, received a few emails, and then his phone rang. He saw that it was his assistant calling and answered it.
