A Happy Experience of Borrowing Seeds - Chapter Six

When we arrived at my father-in-law's house, it wasn't even noon yet. As soon as we entered the village, we were surrounded by a group of enthusiastic children. They followed my car around like a group of fanatical fans chasing after a star. My wife and I, seeing this, couldn't help but smile knowingly, remembering how we used to do similar things when we were kids.
The car slowly drove through the narrow alleys of the village. Perhaps it was because my father-in-law was about to celebrate his birthday, and because my wife and her sister had given their family a lot of money in recent years, so my father-in-law's birthday celebration looked very grand.
Before we even got home, we could see the walls and trees on both sides were already decorated with red and green, creating a festive atmosphere. When we finally got home, my husband and I were speechless with astonishment.
My father-in-law's family lives at the other end of the village. Their original house was already quite large. In the center of the pavilion stood a white marble Guanyin sculpture, holding a green willow branch and a jade vase, her face serene, as if she were about to draw water from the stream to save all living beings.
If I hadn't seen the banner celebrating Lin Shengli's 50th birthday hanging high above the new house, I would never have believed it was my father-in-law's newly built house. Building a house like this, plus the cost of the land, would easily cost two or three hundred thousand yuan. And although my wife has given the family a lot of money over the years, it's impossible to scrape together enough for this house.
"Maybe it was sponsored by my sister-in-law's family?"
I thought about it and realized it was highly unlikely. After all, my wife's younger sister, Lin Wanrou, married a farmer from the same village. She was even rumored to be divorced. There was simply no way she could have that much money.

My mother-in-law then realized what was happening and quickly stepped aside to make way for us. She ushered us inside. My father-in-law's old house hadn't changed much; the house wasn't large, but the furnishings were quite impressive. Of course, this was only in comparison to the furnishings of a rural family.
"Sit in the inner room, sit in the inner room."
My father-in-law ushered us into his own room. There's an unwritten rule in the village that the outer room is generally for guests. But if family members come, they're usually invited to sit on the kang (heated brick bed) in the inner room. It seems more intimate that way.
Once inside the house and seated on the kang (heated brick bed), his wife could no longer contain herself. She eagerly asked her parents, "Dad, when did our family...when did our family become so wealthy? How could we afford such a luxurious house?"
"Oh! You mean the house next door, right?"
The father-in-law was stunned for a moment, then immediately realized: "This...this was all arranged by Wanrou and her husband. We, the old couple, have said that we are already so old, it doesn't matter where we live, but they just wouldn't agree and insisted on making such a big fuss."

可是当我第一次看见小姨子的时候。我真的呆住了。我甚至怀疑老丈人家是不是上辈子是佛祖转世的。要不怎么样生出来两个这样完全不同却又天生丽质的美女来呢？
小姨子和她姐姐一样，人如其名。她叫林婉柔。和她的名字一样。我真的难以相信这世界上怎么可能有这么一个让人感觉到一种柔情似水的姑娘来。凭良心说，她的五官每一样都比不上妻子。可组合在一起后，竟然显得那么协调，那些舒服。
同样，在她身上，我同样感觉不出来她也是在农村长大的。她的一颦一笑，举手投足间，都带着一种完全古典的柔美。我还记得第一次和她见面的时候，她只是对着我轻轻一笑。
只是一笑，就让我感觉着好象陷入到一种百花包围的意境中，几乎让我全身的骨头都酥了。幸亏那时候妻子正忙着和村里的老辈人聊天呢，要不然，看见我这种色狼一样的表现，回家以后还不知道要怎么惩罚我呢。
当后来我知道小姨子竟然嫁给一个本村的农民，竟然还是一个二婚的。我这心里也不知道怎么的就是一种酸楚。我也知道，我已经有了妻子这样一个让大多数人都羡慕的美娇娘了。不应该再有别的想法。她我就是忍不住。忍不住想着我那柔美的小姨子。这种想法在好长时间以后才被我渐渐地控制下来。
后来，我也看见了婉柔的老公——田野。和他接触时间长了。对他的印象也算说的过去吧。这个男人，除了脾气倔一点，有些脑子保守一些以外，基本上是一个很好的男人。人朴实，心眼也挺好的。我想，如果不是因为他娶了婉柔，我应该能和他成为不错的连襟的。
可就是因为婉秀。我一看见田野，这心里就总是有一种极度妒忌的心理。我知道我这样不对。可我就是控制不住自己的这种情绪。一想到婉柔这朵鲜花竟然被他给摘走了，我这心里就禁不住的一阵酸酸的。
还别说，说曹操，曹操就到了，正在我胡思乱想的工夫。大门口又传来一阵声响。听动静，好象是又有人来了。老两口赶紧的又跑出去看看。
时间不长，一个娇媚的身影就从外面冲进来。还没等我看清楚就一下子扑到妻子的怀里。
“姐，我都好长时间没看见你了，你也不说来看看我们。你都不想我了。”
虽然话语显得很兴奋的样子，可是这声音里还是带着一种柔美舒坦的感觉。让人听着一点也不觉得着急，反倒有一种沁人心肺的异样滋味，一听这种柔柔嗓音，我就知道是小姨子来了。
也不知道怎么的，我这心里就开始一阵剧烈的跳动。好象是一种和初恋爱人约会的那种急切而又期盼的感觉。可我知道我这种特殊的感觉实在有些不应该，尤其是在旗子眼皮底下。所以我连忙小心的控制着我的呼吸和心跳，不敢叫妻子看出异样来。
“傻丫头，都这么大了，还爱粘着姐姐。”
妻子的表情也是那么的兴奋。不过在她妹妹面前。她总是显得那么豁然，那么大度，一副姐姐疼爱妹妹的表情。这和刚才在我面前的那种小女孩的样子截然不同。
“姐夫，也来了。”
半天，婉柔从妻子的怀里探出头来，对着我笑着说道。
看见小姨子那种娇柔妩媚的笑容。我的脑袋猛的一阵迷糊。好象婉柔整个脸庞都象一丛百花盛开的园林似的，让我深陷在其中。
“建军，想什么呢，婉柔再和你打招呼呢。”
被妻子的一声催促，我这才回过味儿来。勉强的和她笑了笑，算是回应了。其实我也知道我的笑容有多僵硬。可没办法。在那一刹那，我真的没有办法控制自己的情绪了。
“姐夫怎么了？”
婉柔好象看出来我有些不对劲儿了，她转着头奇怪地问妻子。
“没啥，可能是刚才听妈说起你和田野中奖的事儿了，还在震惊哩。”
妻子若无其事的回答着小姨子。接着她又问道：“说真的，我刚听到这个消息也惊的很呢。你们这也太幸运了。不过话说回来，姐真为你们高兴，有了钱，你们以后的日子一定会过的红红火火的。”
“哦……是吧！”
出乎意料的是婉柔并没有特别兴奋的感觉。反倒是语气一下子有些兴趣索然了。给人的感觉好象对于中奖并没有多大喜悦一样。
正说话间，老两口带着田野就进了里屋。先进来的是老丈人和丈母娘，田野是最后一个进屋的。进来的时候没注意，还被门槛拌了一下。
不过，他身前的丈母娘反应倒是很快，一把就扶住他了。不过让我有些狐疑的是，田野竟然和丈母娘相视一笑。而当田野的手下意识拽住丈母娘的时候，丈母娘的脸突地竟然红了一下。不过很快的她就恢复正常了。如果不是我注意看他们，真的就被忽略过去了。
其实，当时就是一个小小的插曲。女婿被拌了一下，然后又被丈母娘给搀住了。很正常的一件事儿，可我就是觉得有些地方不对劲儿，可让我说出哪里不对劲儿吧，我又真的说不上来。
“姐，姐夫，你们来了。”
正在我冥思苦想的时候。田野象我们打了一声招呼。他的声音很低沉，一听就是一个村里汉子发出的声音。
“嗯，田野也来了，快，快上炕坐着吧。”
妻子可没有我这种乱七八糟的想法，她赶紧地招呼着婉柔和田野上炕坐下。我也冲着田野笑了笑并点了一下头表示和他打了一个招呼。
大家围着炕头坐好以后，丈人先说话了，他对着田野说道：“对了，你去和施工队商量的怎么样了。如果他们要价太高的话，那就算了吧。反正我看在我过寿以前，这新宅子是建不利索了。反正都这样了，又何必在着急忙火的非要提前完工哩？多花那些钱不值当。你这钱虽然来的容易，可也不能乱花呀。尽量攒着点，流着和婉柔好好过日子吧。”
“嗯，”
田野和以前一样，话不多，只是点一下头就表示同意了。不过当我眼睛无意中瞥到丈母娘脸上的时候，我又是一楞。发现丈母娘正笑眯眯地看着田野。其实这本来很正常——丈母娘看女婿，越看越顺眼嘛。可我就是觉得不对劲儿。可非要说哪儿不对吧，我又说不上来。
可能是因为我太过注意了，被丈母娘发现我在注意她了。她赶紧的把眼神转到一边了。可不知怎么的，她脸上又是一红。这叫我心理更是狐疑了。
不过我这种狐疑并没有维持多长时间。心思马上就被婉柔给全部的吸引了。看着她的笑容，听着她娇娇柔柔的声音。我这心里也不知道怎么的就是开始痒痒的。就好象被一只小帽的爪子在上面挠着一样。
聊了一会儿，丈人和丈母娘就出去忙活着做饭去了。屋子里只剩下我们四个人了。因为人少了。我怕自己这种看着婉柔的贪婪目光被别人看出来。也就竭力的控制自己的情绪，开始有一搭没一搭的和他们聊了起来……
吃过午饭，我们几个又聚在一起闲聊。其实就只是她们姐妹两个开心的唧唧喳喳罢了。我和田野基本上岔不上什么话。所以我们索性也就不太言声，干脆就在一边听她们姐妹的话罢了。只是我总是趁别人不注意的工夫，会偷偷地瞥上婉柔几眼。又不敢太过于嚣张的看。这种偷偷摸摸的注意到最后反而让我这心里的痒痒劲儿更浓烈了……
晚饭也是在丈母娘家吃的。不过吃完饭以后，本来依照老丈人的意思，就留我们在他家住下了。可婉柔却偏要拖着我们去她家。说要和姐姐好好的说说话。其实这应该有些怪异了。虽然她们姐妹的感情真的很好。也有不至于连一晚上都离不开，非要在一起不可。
不过对于这个建议，我是一百个同意。毕竟，能离的婉柔近一些最好就近一些。虽然我知道我根本就不可能从小姨子那里得到什么的。可即便是能多看几眼也是好的啊。
