That night

It was two years ago, around this time of year, between spring and summer.

The place was Kunshan, a small city in southern China.
The people were me, a single man, and Yang Ge and his wife. They were a middle-aged couple; Yang Ge was 46, and his wife was 43. They were from Northeast China, with outgoing personalities and tall statures.
It was my first time dating a middle-aged couple I'd longed for.
I was incredibly excited. I met Yang Ge first; perhaps he was observing me. Actually, I'm not an extremely outgoing person; I'm even a bit reserved. Before meeting Yang Ge, I felt a little insecure, worried I wouldn't know what to say.
The meeting place wasn't a coffee shop or a Western restaurant, but a noodle shop. Perhaps we're both the kind of people who are simple and straightforward. Yang Ge was impeccably dressed; his well-fitting suit exuded maturity and composure. Honestly, what I find most unacceptable is someone who is unkempt and sloppy. Now I felt relieved.
We sat down in a corner of the noodle shop. Brother Yang was very accommodating; he seemed to notice my slight nervousness and told me not to be nervous, to chat slowly...
For
an hour, we talked a lot. All my worries were unnecessary, because Brother Yang was very satisfied with me and said he wished we had met sooner. After leaving the noodle shop, we walked around the nearby park.
We talked a lot and decided to meet up the following week.
The wait was agonizing. Finally, the second weekend arrived. I got off work early and checked into the hotel I had booked in advance. I went out and bought fruit and some snacks. In the room, I lightly sprayed some cologne and turned on the humidifier, letting the scent of cologne fill the room. I turned on the TV, tuned to a music channel, and listened to some relaxing music. After showering, I waited quietly for Brother Yang and his friends.
Forty-five minutes later, they arrived. His wife was indeed still very attractive, making me restless
...
We thoroughly enjoyed that time; it was my first time, and every time I think about it, it feels wonderful. Even though Yang and his wife have returned to their hometown, we've only met up five times.
I look forward to meeting another couple like Yang again; that kind of feeling is truly beautiful.
