The Quest for Self-Understanding:

Ever since that sleepless night, my feelings for my girlfriend have grown stronger. I even wanted to know what she felt like when she first had sex with her boyfriend. Every time I imagined my petite, proud girlfriend being deflowered by another man, a surge of emotion, a mixture of sadness and pain, welled up inside me, a bittersweet feeling. But life went on, and the sweetness of love always outweighed my wild thoughts. Soon it was Chinese New Year, and we had no choice but to separate, each going back to our own families.

The nights without my girlfriend were so lonely; I could only express my longing through QQ chat. One night, my wife said she had a class reunion the next day; her high school classmates rarely saw each other, only once a year.
