I will definitely not let Aqi down...
These words struck Mu Lianqi like a bolt of lightning.
He immediately cried out and knelt down, his whole body trembling like a withered leaf blown by the autumn wind.
"Aqi!" Zhimi quickly squatted down to support his shoulder.
"Don't touch me!" Mu Lianqi shook off her hand, breathing heavily. "Who...who are you...who exactly are you?!"
Why did he feel so pained and sad when he saw her? It was as if someone had poured tons of seawater into his heart, so salty, bitter, and astringent that he couldn't bear it.
“I’m Mimi, I’m your Mimi.” Zhimi pressed her hand to her chest. “Aqi said he would only love Mimi in this life. Aqi and Mimi eloped, but your mother broke them up. How could Aqi forget me?”
