在满目黄沙之中，两员大将各使出浑身解数，在战场中央奋力厮杀，暴喝娇叱之声，兵刃撞击轰响，尽皆响彻全场，那精妙的招数，狂暴的气势，让两边将士看得目瞪口呆。
战场之中，两员大将猛烈拼杀，渐渐分出了高下，苏琥力气既大，招数亦是老父亲授，精妙非常，又在大怒中使出，威力之大，震天撼地，让朱耀渐渐难以抵挡，只叫得一声苦，心下震惊恐惧，难以言谕。
突然间，苏琥在狂怒中挥刀击落，终于在左路露出一个破绽，朱耀喜出望外，挥叉挡开，用尽力气，举叉向苏琥左胁刺去，他已经不再想着生擒苏琥，只望能击败他，不至死在他手里，已经是叨天之幸了。
就在这一刹那，朱耀的眼中，忽然看到苏琥那年轻的面庞上，出现了一丝讥诮的冷笑，火红战马狂奔向前，轻松地躲开了朱耀这志在必得的全力一击。
苏琥眼中杀机陡现，举起大刀，狂劈而下，那狂暴的刀气，让朱耀背上不由迅速感到一股森寒之气，狂涌而来。
朱耀的钢叉，刚刺了一个空，正在拼命收回来挡住那夺命的大刀，锋利的刀刃却已经劈到了背上，霎时便将他斜肩带臂，狠狠劈开，半边身子从马上落了下来，跌落尘埃。
朱耀只来得及发出一声惨叫，便身首两分，死于马下，胯下战马也被刀锋扫到，痛嘶一声，大步奔逃，带着他血淋淋的半截身子，落荒逃去了。
看着主帅惨死在战场中央的模样，太子军兵俱都吓得浑身战抖，远远望向战场中那苏琥那英俊威武，威风凛凛的身影，眼光中也都充满了惊疑恐惧。
苏琥沐浴在阳光之下，浑身金光灿烂，仿若战神一般，挥动着鲜血淋漓的大刀，放声断喝道：“朱耀已死，尔等还有谁敢上来交战！”
这一声清厉的吼声，自太子军头顶隆隆而过，看着以骁勇着称的统帅被当场斩杀，太子军人人面如死灰，再无战心。
龙翼在城墙之上看的清楚，见敌军已呈败象，举枪大吼道：“全军围歼，多斩几个贼兵，立功报国！”
埋伏在东西两边的天朝军队，及刘将军的中军，一起杀出，将朱耀五万大军包围在其中，苏琥更是一马当先，拍马狂驰而出，后面各营将领，也不肯怠慢，纷纷率军突出，大军如潮水般，向对面的敌军掩杀过去。
狂猛呼啸而去的天朝大军，如巨涛拍岸，迅速将敌军的防线冲垮，虽然有贼将率亲军死战，终究还是挡不住一波波的猛烈攻势，纷纷被斩杀当场，五万贼兵，四散奔逃，大多还是跪地投降，做了俘虏。
在大军的后方，刘将军居中调度，井井有条，在他的分派下，旗号招展，各支军队的将领看着打出的旗号，分进合击，四面追杀堵截太子大军，让逃去的敌军士兵数量，降到了最低，眼看着敌军已然全军覆没，城墙之上中央指挥若定的龙翼脸上，终于露出了欣喜兴奋的笑容。
钦州城下，大军云集，天朝朝军队面对着坚固的城池，已做好了攻城的准备，虽然他们只有十余万人，与城中叛军相比，数量上已虽然相差有五万，训练程度却远远超过了城中的乌合之众，尽聚集于大元帅刘将军帐下，听从他的指挥。
钦州距离南宁城不过两百里路，龙翼返回都是很轻松的事情，本来有的将领提议，把他们困在城内，让他们没有任何粮食补充，最后不得不出来投降，可是又有消息传来，居然有藩王正率领着援军向准备来援助太子，因此刘将军决议，要尽快攻城，若能赶在援军来前攻下钦州城池，便是最好不过。
对于攻城，龙翼可是外行，尽管他是天朝的皇帝，但是他并不干涉刘将军的指挥，老老实实地站在城下，看着攻城内行的刘将军指挥大军前往攻击。
钦州城原本并没有多高的城墙，原本城内也只有万余人，随着太子军将钦州作为南上大本营之后，这里的城墙被加高加厚了许多，士兵们防守起来容易得多，龙翼眼睁睁地看着天朝将士推着攻城木驴车，冲到护城河边，将麻袋包起的泥土包摔到河中，尽量快速地将护城河填满，让人可以通过。
这护城河是天然的钦江，好在现在是冬季，河水并不急，而且河水很浅，因此大军冒着太子军的箭雨，飞快的在河面上搭建通路。
当护城河被填满之后，河水溢满流向低洼地，天朝士兵们又冒着箭雨，冲过河去，架起云梯爬上城墙，与敌军猛烈拼杀，虽然杀伤了部分敌军，却也付出了巨大代价，伤亡无数。
试探性的攻击过后，刘将军命令苏琥为攻城先锋，加大攻击力度，那惨烈的厮杀、染满鲜血的城墙战场，让远处督战的龙翼不忍再看，转过头去暗自咬牙，叹息自己终究还没有练到心狠手辣的程度，对于这样普通的战斗已经难以忍睹，只有多经历过一些残酷的战斗，才能练到历史上各代名将那样视人命如草芥的地步。
