Two figures strode up the city wall; they were none other than the commander-in-chief, Shan Zhuo, and his deputy, Su Dingjiang.
Yan Zhuo said, "Greetings, Celestial Master and Evil God."

斥候道：「见到了，他们正在走在队伍最前端。」
沧释天咦了一声，又看了看手中书信，仍是不放心，于是说道：「待我前去一观！」
说罢化作一道火影飞掠而出，他身法快绝无比，眨眼间便追上了龙麟军，他在云端俯视，果不其然，看见杨烨和袁齐天皆在队伍前方。
他细看片刻，杨烨气度沉稳，袁齐天笑容洒脱，但所散发的气势强悍而内敛，着实是破虚之风范。
这是袁齐天回过头来，冷笑道：「西贝货，躲在云里边偷看什么，你外公我就在这里，要动手就放马过来啊！」
面对挑衅，沧释天沉稳以对，躲在云中观望。
杨烨索性命令全军停止行军，就地驻扎，命人在阵前架起炉火，摆上茶具，然后与袁齐天就地而坐，煮茶以品。
沧释天看得一阵狐疑，杨烨尝了一口，叹道：「此茶味道甘中带涩，涩中藏滑，实乃逸品，袁兄不妨尝一尝！」
袁齐天捏起一个茶杯，微微抿了一口，说道：「这茶是百花香吧？」
杨烨道：「正是，袁兄好眼界。」
袁齐天道：「但有些可惜。」
杨烨问道：「如何可惜？」
袁齐天道：「此茶以乃是采集一百多种鲜花花瓣，以正阳之火熬制七七四十九个时辰，再辅以子夜阴火慢炖，方可算大功告成！但此茶在熬制过程中，阳火略欠一二，导致百花香味不能融合！」
杨烨笑道：「原来是要用阳刚之火烘烤，巧得很，眼下不就正有一个现成的烧火匠吗！」
袁齐天朗声大笑起来，眼睛已然盯着云层。
杨烨纵身一跃，破云而来，一击擒拿手直取沧释天面门：「追得这么辛苦，不如一起到下边喝茶吧，顺便也帮我们烧烧火！」
沧释天推出一记火蚕手挡格，杨烨擒拿手忽地一变，转刚为柔，五指生粘劲，透过火焰扣住沧释天左手脉门。
沧释天亦施展卸劲功决，天穹妙法赫然使出，右手往杨烨手臂一扫，发出一股星河太极图，立即荡开了铁爪擒拿。
杨烨嘿嘿一笑，箭步逼上，左手锁喉，右掌拿肩，乃军中的锁擒摔拳。
沧释天真气化转，身若飘絮，顺着杨烨拳法的路线而退，借力使力。
短短两招，沧释天便觉得有些不妥，暗忖道：「姓杨的以往出招都是大开大阖，刚猛无匹，为何今日这般扭扭捏捏，似乎有意要将我拖住……而猿猴子却一直没有动。」
想到这里，他往下边瞥了一眼，只见袁齐天仍在优哉优哉地品茶。
「死猴子嗜酒如命，今天怎么能耐得住性子喝茶？」
沧释天只觉得奇怪，而且袁齐天居然还能分辨出茶叶的好坏和不足，这哪像昔日大大咧咧的粗汉，分明就是个清风淡雅的修士。
心中起疑，他拂袖一扫，试探性地发出一道火劲打向袁齐天，火劲来势甚急，袁齐天头也不抬，继续左手捧茶，右手却迎着火劲伸出，五指一张接住火劲，随即手腕微微一转，似做旋转状，便将火劲消弭于无形。
沧释天看得仔细，袁齐天这一手接得虽然漂亮，但风格与往常颇为不同，以往猴子不管敌人如何出招，他都以力量破之，但这次却用了以柔化刚的手法。
「猴子，再接我一招！」
沧释天再提三分内元，火劲缭绕全身，随即一掌拍落，整个人宛若流星陨石般直撞而下。
忽见杨烨纵身跃出，一拳打出，挡住沧释天这一掌。
杨烨先以刚猛拳劲挡住火掌，随即再施擒拿手，锁扣邪神脉门。
「本座懒得跟尔等丧家之犬纠缠！」
沧释天怒喝一声，逼出炙热火劲，荡开杨烨的擒拿手，向后飞去。
杨烨面色凝重，看着邪神远遁方向，心中百感交集。
「督帅，那厮是否瞧出来了？」
这时袁齐天撕下人皮面具，露出真容，竟是元鼎。
杨烨道：「以他的聪明才智应该瞧出端倪了……」
元鼎叹道：「为了布这一个局，牺牲实在太大了！」
沧释天折回姚碧郡，立即召来赤火魔君，说道：「你速领一支精兵随我赶回后方！」
剡灼问道：「邪神有何考量？」
沧释天脸色凝重地道：「敌人假借撤退，实则以派遣精兵来偷袭我军后方，若再不赶回，我军后院定当失火！」
剡灼随着沧释天往外赶去，召集兵将。
在兵将集结过程中，沧释天说道：「杨烨和袁齐天发现本座后居然停止行军，就地煮茶，最为奇怪的就是那嗜酒如命的妖猴居然喝起茶来，不但喝得津津有味，还大论茶道，此为疑点之一。杨烨与吾交手，招式间多有纠缠拖延之意，而且整个过程，袁齐天一直都在旁观，此为疑点之二。袁齐天接我掌劲时，虽文若泰山，但手法却暗藏以柔化刚的技巧，与他平日硬吞强打的风格颇为不符！」
剡灼面色微变，说道：「其中莫有猫腻？」
沧释天道：「他虽有绝顶气度，但却少了一份果决出手的刚勇，只有一种解释，这个妖猴不是真的，而是由另一个同级高手假扮，但这个高手却因为某种原因不能大动干戈！」
剡灼道：「一定是元鼎，他伤势未愈，所以不能与邪神动手！」
沧释天道：「没错，他们两个故作姿态，为的就是将我拖住，好让真的袁齐天突破后方四城，然后直取玉京！此外，我在敌军大队中并未发觉杨烨那支亲兵的踪迹，十有八九是跟着袁齐天来抄我军后路了！」
剡灼脸色极为难看，咬牙切齿地骂道：「那四座城池极为坚固，且为玉京屏障，早已设下稳固阵法，就算破虚高手也不能轻取，他们有这个本事来拿么？」
沧释天道：「你别忘那封信！」
剡灼忽地醒悟，说道：「是那个内奸！」
沧释天道：「没错，有那个内奸相助，四城危矣！」
剡灼道：「岂有此理，那个混账敢吃里扒外，本君直接将他砍了！」
沧释天道：「有能力出卖四城，又受了贼军所谓的义释之恩的人还有谁？」
剡灼大怒：「苏定疆，早就看这小子有问题，焅焐被抓，他却好端端地回来，刚才要出兵追击又是他在哪里碍手碍脚，原来他居然是内奸！」
此时七大魔兵已结集完毕，沧释天道：「咱们兵分两路，你赶回丁山，火速捉拿内奸，我领一军赶往后方！」
剡灼得令后，命大部队继续镇守姚碧郡，他率领一队魔兵赶回丁山郡。
入了城门，焅焐直扑兵营，喝道：「苏定疆在哪！」
营内多是苏定疆的子弟兵，见剡灼对自己主将这般无礼皆是好生厌恶。
苏定疆走出营帐，问道：「苏某在此，有何指教！」
剡灼冷喝一声：「左右，拿下！」
魔兵闪电扑出，苏定疆不及防备竟被拿住命门，动弹不得。
营内子弟兵不禁躁动起来，拿起武器便围了过来，骂道：「干嘛捉我家将军！」
剡灼怒道：「苏定疆暗通反贼，欺君叛国，罪不容诛，谁敢造次与其同罪！」
身旁魔兵随即抽出兵器，杀气陡升，人数虽少却死死镇住苏定疆的子弟兵。
苏定疆怒道：「你污蔑本将，我要面见圣上！」
剡灼道：「是不是污蔑，来日自有说法，先将这逆臣押解入牢，待战事告一段，便将你押回帝都发落！」
说着便出手封住苏定疆气脉，锁其功体，再让人拿来套上手链脚镣，关入牢房。
众子弟兵忿忿不平，但却摄于魔兵凶威，敢怒而不敢言。
沧释天率领七大魔兵赶往西南后方四城，行至半路却遭迷雾挡道，全军上下难辨东西南北。
沧释天怒提真元，一掌拍出，炽烈掌风扫开迷雾，谁知火焰掌气却被一股玄力引入地脉，加强迷阵困锁之力。
「引火入地，乃火生土之法，此阵又是以地脉水象来催生迷雾！」
沧释天领着魔兵冲了几次，却都被挡了回来，他又让魔兵分成四队，各自冲锋，依旧毫无作用，叫他好生焦急。
但阵法只是以困为主，并无其他攻击手段。
「岂有此理，这般贼子是铁了心要拖延时间！」
沧释天把心一横，下令道：「汝等留在此地打扎，结出防御阵势！」
魔兵闻言立即招办，沧释天抛下众魔兵，凝聚功力，化作一道火焰强行冲出迷雾。
待他出阵后，回头一看，发觉迷雾又再度合拢，原先所在之地竟消失不见，可见此阵排布甚是精妙。
「哼，故弄玄虚！」
沧释天冷哼一声，他已看出这阵法的虚实，能困而不能杀，且维持时间有限，相信不出半个时辰阵法便会自行消散。
时间紧迫，他立即飞向四大郡城，心想：「即便姓苏的吃里扒外，只要本座及时赶到，定可镇住乱党，守住四城！」
前方三十里处被一片异样光彩笼罩，封天锁地，正是四城联成的阵局，沧释天远远眺望，见阵法并无异样，城池也是一片平和，心中才稍稍安定下来，长叹一声：「幸好赶得及时！」
倏然，一股阴风由下而上，直窜而起，沧释天惊讶之余已然被扯入其中，抬眼所及，尽是万千亡魂，怨气冲天。
「呵呵，陆某久候多时了！」
一声淡笑响起，引得无数亡魂发出咆哮怒吼，涌出一片滔天怨念，恨不得生吞此人。
沧释天定睛一看，不禁大吃一惊：「陆乘烟，你居然没死？」
陆乘烟道：「陆某费尽心思来吊你这条大鱼，鱼儿还没上钩，怎能轻言生死！」
沧释天冷笑道：「虽不知你弄何玄虚，但就凭你一人还不足与本座为敌，袁齐天在哪，叫他出来吧！」
陆乘烟笑道：「袁长老不在，就我一人！」
沧释天冷笑道：「那你就等死吧！」
陆乘烟道：「就在牺牲这两万弟兄时，我早已舍去生死。虽然你只是个西贝货，但能让你中计，陆乘烟不枉此生！」
沧释天怒容一沉，翻掌便打，陆乘烟面泛紫气，随即由紫化黑，正是逆转儒阳真元之前兆。
由阳转阴，散血为引，陆乘烟体内一片阴寒，阴气流窜四肢百骸，已到了不吐不快之地步，探手一爪，一只亡魂已入掌握。
「兄弟，陆乘烟对不起你们！」
陆乘烟目含热泪，悲鸣一声，掌心逼出一股阴气，将那亡魂点燃，随手砸向沧释天。
轰的一声，阴火肆虐，冥雷撞击，竟压住了沧释天的掌势，正是煞域最为阴损的招式——冥火鬼雷。
沧释天曾在丰郡领教过此招，仍是心有余悸，一个照面竟被震得后退三步。
当陆乘烟施展此招后，四周的亡魂更加愤怒，但却被牢牢锁在特定位置，无法动弹。
陆乘烟叹道：「生前让你们受苦，死后仍不能安息，一切皆是我之罪过，此战过后，陆乘烟愿奉上血肉百骸骨髓以祭诸君，散三魂七魄以赎此罪！」
沧释天道：「这一切都是你的局？」
陆乘烟惨然笑道：「我向龙主请教煞域阵法和冥术的方法，虽不能发挥十足威力，但也足够在短时间内困住你！」
说话间又是一记冥火鬼雷，沧释天出掌抵御，却不料气力先弱三分，又被震退。
「臭儒生，你以儒阳功体施展阴冥煞法，迟早死无葬身之地！」
沧释天咬牙切齿地道。
陆乘烟道：「留点气力来接招吧，西贝货！」
说着又来一招，沧释天陷入阴气漩涡之中，功体被莫名削弱，而陆乘烟借着地利而战，竟打出了以弱制强的局面，逼得堂堂破虚高手左躲右闪。
沧释天暗忖道：「酸儒根基浅薄，吾只需退守拖战，不出一时半刻，他就会筋脉尽断！」
邪神虽然躲得狼狈，但并未受到实质性的损伤，而陆乘烟却是苦不堪言，招式的逆冲和反噬不断地摧残着他血肉骨骸，而亡魂的悲怒和凄苦又不断地敲打着他心扉，这每一个都是与自己并肩作战的兄弟，如今却亲手将他们毁灭，那种滋味宛若断肠剧毒不断折磨着陆乘烟的灵魂。
招式虽猛，但身体却将近极限，陆乘烟七孔流血，心脉枯萎，肺腑衰弱，已接近昏死边缘。
他一咬舌尖，以剧痛迫使自己清醒，又抓来两团亡魂，发招攻敌，同时以说话分散注意力，让自己能继续撑持下去。
「沧释天，你知不知道，从我毒杀两万伤员开始，这一局已经布下。那封烧成一半的密信是我故意留下的！那个袁长老也是我请元鼎天师假扮的，细节上的破绽也是我故意暴露的……哈哈，知道为什么吗？」
沧释天脸色已经一片暗沉，气得眉毛直哆嗦。
陆乘烟说道：「其实聪明人最好骗，因为聪明人最喜欢由小及大，抓住细节，所以只要故意卖弄一些所谓的破绽，他们就会上钩，阁下便是这么个例子！那封信若是保存完好，你可能还不相信，但要只有残卷，你反而会自作主张联想一番……对了，路上的那个阵法实际上是白云所布，为的就是要将你和魔兵分开！」
沧释天气得肝火大动，但深处阴气结界，一时半会也难以逞强，只得继续以游走战术应对。
陆乘烟继续说道：「你是不是好奇，为什么不见破军铁卫？实话告诉你，他们其实还在姚碧郡！」
沧释天不由一愣，他入城之后便自仔细搜查过，并未发觉敌军的伏兵，那些破军铁卫又是躲在哪里？陆乘烟道：「用两万人的尸体来掩盖百余人岂不是很简单？」
沧释天恍然大悟，敢情杨烨的这支精锐是藏在尸体堆里。
陆乘烟双眼一阵蛮红，已经是被不断涌出的鲜血淌满了眼眶，但继续动着嘴巴：「呵呵，这四城并非我的目标，真正的意图还是丁山郡，杨督帅和袁长老此刻应该已经杀了个回马枪……以二敌一，那个还没完成的阵法完蛋了！而你们将苏定疆当做叛徒内奸，一定会出手对付他，原本朝廷兵马和你们魔军就有所间隙，现在又定罪于他们主将，双方矛盾更盛，待督帅和袁长老破阵时，城内细作再推波助澜一番……丁山不攻自破矣！」
毒杀伤员，假信离间，故露破绽，调虎离山，回马一枪，挑拨矛盾……而陆乘烟更是以身作饵，舍命拖延，可谓是毒计连环，环环相扣！沧释天生出一股被愚弄的屈辱感，气得火冒三丈，暴跳如雷，聚集仅存功力，奋然一击，打出一招赤炼断金手。
滔滔阳火逆袭而上，焚烧四野，势要强破阴气结界，砰地一声，陆乘烟惨遭重招，四肢骨骸皆遭烧挥，瘫倒在地，动弹不得。
沧释天强破阴气结界，亦受反冲，体内气血紊乱，两眼直冒金星。
七孔流血，意识弥留，陆乘烟抬眼望天，厚厚的云层看不见半点光亮，思绪百转千回……一生之事宛若浮光掠影，快速而又完整地闪过眼前。

若干年前，儒门有一批年轻弟子下山历练，无意间在一处山村撞上昊天教教徒，双方展开过激战，儒门弟子年少力弱，被昊天教打得节节败退，几乎全军覆没，危难关头，却是陆乘烟挺身而出，巧手布局，反将昊天教一军，将昊天教引入困局，再以炸药将其全数歼灭，其过程干脆利索，堪称绝地反击，然而因为手段过于激进和毒辣，祸及了村民，最终被儒门革去内门弟子的身份，逐出云汉院。
心灰意冷之下，年仅十六的陆乘烟四处游荡，孤苦飘零，此刻恰逢沧释天摆弄手段，借着赤水河洪灾之便，引铁烈入关，先是铁壁关失守，再到河东溃败，帝都势若危卵。
危难关头，杨烨横空出世，领军北上勤王，半途之中遇上了抑郁不得志的陆乘烟。

陆乘烟微微一愣，说道：「少将军请说！」

陆乘烟喊道：「你若肯信我，我保证不但可以解玉京之围，还可反攻铁烈老窝！」
「如此笃定？」
「是！若此计不成，少将军可斩我首级！」
「好，杨某便信你一回，但别忘了你立下的军令状！」
「我……我什么时候立了军令状？」

杨烨道：「此河位于铁烈后方，正是他们的水源，要想瞒过他们而筑堤颇为不易啊！」
陆乘烟笑道：「所以第二计便来了，现今正值洪灾兵燹，死伤者不计其数，尸横遍野，少将军可命人收集尸体，投入金湾河上游，藉此散布瘟疫，此举不但削弱敌兵，还能让铁烈对金湾河敬而远之，不敢靠近，那时候便是咱们筑堤蓄水的时机！」
杨烨闻言，当下叫好，立即命人待办，果不其然，铁烈兵马饮下金湾河的水后，病倒者不计其数，瘟疫便在铁烈军中蔓延开来，为了阻断瘟疫，铁烈可汗忍痛隔离得病的士兵，仍其自生自灭，又下令不许靠近金湾河，另寻水源。
待引开铁烈注意力后，杨烨立即执行筑堤蓄水，待水位上升后，掘开大堤，来了个水淹三军，铁烈顿时阵脚大乱。
随即，杨烨率兵趁势掩杀，以少胜多，大败铁烈，更是在阵前击杀铁烈国师，一举成名。
铁烈兵败正如陆乘烟所料，灰溜溜地退回北方，杨烨早已提前召集了河东、北疆两地的残兵游勇，组成一支不可忽视的力量，沿途伏击铁烈败军，打得铁烈再损五成人马。
从此之后，杨烨越战越勇，陆乘烟意气风发，随军献策，向杨烨提出斩草除根的建议。
于是杨烨领着北疆的兵马杀入草原，直接下达了马不停蹄刀不封口的军令，此刻在他麾下聚集的兵马皆是北疆儿郎，对于铁烈是恨之入骨，这道命令一下，士兵们顿时杀性爆发，宛如脱缰野马，直接血洗草原，进一步打击铁烈的有生力量。

伴随着清朗诗号，陆乘烟舍生忘死，豁出毕生余力，再度功体逆转，由阴转阳，以血肉为油，以骨骸为薪，整个人化作一团炙热烈火。
沧释天瞧出陆乘烟是要燃烧自身，与自己拼死一搏，赶忙抽身后退，却不料陆乘烟的魂魄先行离体，围着四周阴魂盘旋，将那些阴魂统统引来，散出魂气点燃阴魂，霎时间阴风狂啸，助燃鬼火，策动冥雷，沧释天根本无从后退。
轰隆一声，万魂爆，骨肉炸，阴火焚，阳火烧，这两股阴阳之极端力量同时爆发，惊得天地变色，三光倾颓。
逆阳光华冲天而起，映得远方的丁山郡也一片璀璨夺目。
