This is not the fate I wanted.

The light from a single lamp illuminates only a small area of the room. However, adding several lamps amplifies the brightness. This principle applies to all light sources; small accumulations can lead to unexpected and significant changes.
This was true for Yukino River at that moment; faced with the naturally formed scenery before him, he was involuntarily overwhelmed with an indescribable sense of emotion.
Countless yellow-green fluorescent lights danced in the air, like tiny sprites, flitting among the trees and above the vegetation, swirling around them and adding touches of wondrous color. Beside the small pond, the fluorescent colors were even more vibrant and bright, as if the entire landscape was adorned with these magical lights. The bright colors bathed the pond and its edges in a yellow-green hue, bright yet not glaring. Through the eyes, one could only perceive the gentle colors and feel an indescribable sense of wonder.
Now, Yukino Kawa understood what these little sprites fluttering in the air were; they must be fireflies. However, having always lived in the city, this was the first time he had seen these magical and enchanting creatures in real life, outside of books.
Under the shade of trees, on the grass, and by the pond, fireflies, their yellow-green flashes shimmering, flit about, sometimes high, sometimes low, so light and ethereal, like tiny natural lanterns, like scattered sparks, or even like strings and rows of colorful lights, woven into countless crisscrossing ribbons. If the earth is a vast black cloth, then these shimmering fireflies are the silver threads inlaid on it, like rivers of stars, like long arrays of lanterns. If we say that nature is holding a concert at night, then these lovely little sprites are a group of flying musical notes, strung together, soaring freely and flowing gently in the silken tapestry woven by the night sky, flying from one ear to the other, gathering together, brighter than any lamplight.
"So beautiful..." Amidst such a beautiful scene, words of praise flowed unconsciously from Yukino's lips, drifting through the tranquil yet magnificent night.
"Hehe, right!" Seeing the surprised expressions on Yukino and Kirie's faces and hearing their words of praise, Ayumi couldn't help but say with a proud look. At the same time, she shifted her gaze back to the fluorescent light and said softly with nostalgia and sigh, "When Fuuka and I first saw this scenery, we stood there stunned for a long time. It was like a shock to our souls, something we've etched into our minds and can never easily forget. So every summer, we take advantage of this time to come and admire this beautiful scenery. Just seeing this sight can heal our souls."
"I feel like I was so incredibly stupid before Ayumi and the others came along. I actually thought the countryside was a completely pointless and boring place. If I had gone back before meeting you guys, I would definitely have a huge regret in my life," Kirie said with a somewhat wistful expression.
Although Yukino Kawa agreed with her idea, couldn't she please not look at herself at the end? It felt like she completely ruined the initial mood and emotion. "Hehe, Kirie-nee, it's worth bringing you all here if you think that way. Actually, I was a little nervous before bringing you here, because I was afraid you wouldn't like the environment," Ayumi said with a sigh.
"Hmm, most people would probably like such a beautiful view, right? I don't think anyone would dislike it," Yukino asked with a curious tone.
"You're so naive, Ogawa," Ayumi said, shaking her finger. Although Ketsunokawa really wanted to retort that she didn't forget to use such a term of endearment even at a time like this, he still listened patiently. "When I was in middle school, I wanted to invite some good friends to come here. Back then, I described the scenery to them as an incentive to come. But Ogawa, do you know what they said? They said, 'Aren't fireflies insects? What's so interesting about these flying insects?' It really made me a little angry with them!"
"Ha..." Yukino couldn't help but feel the same way. But after thinking about it carefully, he realized that most girls are naturally afraid of insects, and those girls probably hadn't actually seen fireflies before, which was why they had that idea. If they really saw this scene, their mistaken beliefs would probably be completely changed. At least tonight, with such a beautiful sight, Yukino completely forgot about them as insects; now he only saw them as the most beautiful spirits of nature.
They have burned their lives away, possessing only a short lifespan, yet they are offering the world their most dazzling brilliance.
=========================================================
"Is the weather starting to get bad...?"
On the fourth day after arriving in Hinagawa Village, after lunch, Yukino sat in her room, gazing at the sky outside the window, and murmured to herself. What had been a bright, sunny morning was now overcast, the air thick with heat and humidity, making it difficult to stay still without breaking a sweat.
"I heard that a typhoon is expected to blow towards mainland Japan around the next few days. It seems we're located right in its path, so there might be a really strong storm," Kirie, sitting next to Yukino, said with a smile, waving her phone in her hand.
"A typhoon, huh. I thought I'd escaped one this year, but it seems I can't avoid it after all." Kiyonokawa sighed, as if lamenting. The previous typhoons had either changed direction or had little impact on his city, but this one was clearly heading this way, leaving Kiyonokawa unsure whether to consider it lucky or unlucky. However, he had something more pressing to do than the typhoon. He turned to Kirie and, with a hint of helplessness and unwelcoming tone, continued, "Kirie-nee, why are you in my room? You should have your own room, right?"
"Hehe, Xiaochuan, don't worry about me. Just pretend I'm not here. Besides, Grandma's house doesn't have air conditioning, so it's the same wherever you are, right?" Kirie said with a grin.
"It'll only get hotter with more people," Ketsunogawa muttered unconsciously, though she couldn't help fanning herself with her hand. The current state of Hinagawa Village meant it was quite underdeveloped; very few households had air conditioning, and even televisions were rare, with more than half the villagers lacking them. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say they were isolated from the outside world. The past few days had been quite cool thanks to the natural breeze from the windows and the electric fan, but today, the oppressive weather made even the breeze stifling, making it much harder to bear than usual. "The weather is really stifling right now. I feel like I'll need to take a cold shower later to feel comfortable; my sweat feels sticky," Kirie said, unusually agreeing with Ketsunogawa, her mood low. She also grabbed her collar and fanned herself repeatedly, trying to cool down.
However, seeing this scene only made Kiyonokawa feel even hotter. Since Kirie was wearing a low-cut top and sitting next to Kiyonokawa, this movement made it very easy for him to see her chest through the large gap in her dress. Especially with the slight increase in movement, Kiyonokawa could even clearly see the bright red nipples on her cupped breasts. "Eh! Kirie-nee, why aren't you wearing a bra!" Seeing this unexpected sight, Kiyonokawa's face flushed red, and he instinctively said to her in a flustered tone.
"Oh, I wasn't planning on going out today anyway, and this is just my usual loungewear. It'll even keep me cool in this sweltering weather," Kirie said casually, seemingly unconcerned. However, at the end, her previously bored expression suddenly brightened, and she leaned closer to Ketsunokawa, smiling teasingly, "But I didn't expect you to like peeping, Ogawa. If you had just told me, you could have looked, touched, or even licked whatever you wanted~"
"I would never make such a request!" Kiyonokawa blushed and distanced herself from the other person, instinctively shouting a rebuttal before turning her head away and saying shyly, "Even at home, Kirie-nee, you're being too revealing... and there's a guy like me here..."
Kirie's smile widened, and she suddenly reached behind her to hug Ketsunokawa's neck, saying in a cheerful tone, "There's no need to be so formal between us, we can even hang out naked like that~"
"Huh! Kirie-nee, what did you say about not wearing clothes?!" Before Yukino could break free from Kirie's embrace, Ayumi's surprised voice came from the doorway, causing Yukino to freeze in place.
