Dubai Exposure - Chapter 3: Waves of the Persian Gulf

Like all Middle Eastern countries, Dubai's weekend is Friday and Saturday, not Saturday and Sunday, because people go to the mosque to pray on Friday. However, most companies only give Friday off.
Shopping malls are usually closed on Friday mornings, and the subway doesn't open until 1 p.m., so most of us who aren't going to the mosque sleep in the morning.
After lunch, Xiao Xie said, "Let's go to the beach!" Wow, we really are going!
The car drove past Emirates Mall and headed towards the Burj Al Arab hotel.
The Burj Al Arab is Dubai's oldest landmark, but we didn't plan to go inside. Most of the area around it is a private beach where local or foreign tycoons enjoy their private space on weekends while sailing on yachts. However, there is a public beach that the government has designated not far away.
The beach was unusually crowded on the weekend. The parking lot was full of luxury cars, and the beach was packed with people.
