(VIII) Sharing Heartfelt Feelings
Neither of us spoke for a moment. The situation was quite ambiguous. I, the one who started it all, didn't even dare to look at the hot young woman next to me. We could hear each other's breathing.
Tao Zui finally spoke: "Did it hurt you?"
"...How could it...it doesn't hurt at all," I hurriedly replied.

Ke'er's father, Zhu Mingrui, came from a wealthy family. The owner of the city's largest hotel chain was actually Zhu Mingrui's father, Tao Zui's father-in-law. With such a background, Tao Zui, from a small town, had truly climbed the social ladder. Besides managing the household, she also diligently assisted her husband in managing his business.
Everything was going smoothly until that day… The Zhu family was on a family trip. Five people were in their SUV: four adults and one child, a young couple, the father-in-law and mother-in-law, and their three-year-old daughter, Ke'er.

The result was that Ke'er and Tao Zui sustained minor injuries, the father-in-law was seriously injured, and Zhu Mingrui and his mother-in-law died

With Zhu Mingrui, the general manager of the hotel group, dead, and President Zhu Yun confined to her sickbed, the company was on the verge of collapse. Tao Zui displayed her strong, independent side, bringing the company back on track within three months. From then on, life took a completely different turn. Ke'er, now fatherless, became increasingly mischievous, and with her mother's busy work schedule and lack of care, she became arrogant and domineering.

Tao Zui thought for a moment. She habitually bit her lower lip when thinking, a gesture her daughter Zhu Ke'er also made when contemplating.
