In the late Ming Dynasty, in the Wuyi Mountains, there was a lush mountain range known as "Four Buddha Ridge" because it housed four temples, each with its own treasured artifact—a golden Buddha, a silver Guanyin, a bronze Arhat, and an iron Vajra. Thus, the four temples were respectively called "Golden Buddha Temple," "Silver Buddha Temple," "Bronze Buddha Temple," and "Iron Buddha Temple." The Wuyi Mountains enjoyed favorable weather year after year, which everyone attributed to the protection of the bodhisattvas in these four temples. People from hundreds of miles around came to burn incense and worship, making the four temples extremely popular and renowned far and wide.

However, later, four evil monks arrived, killing or driving away the original abbots of the temples, occupying the four temples, and proclaiming themselves the Golden Buddha Master, Silver Buddha Master, Bronze Buddha Master, and Iron Buddha Master. Instead of teaching sutras and Buddhist chants, they instruct the young monks in martial arts, forcing them to pay exorbitant taxes. Those who refused are beaten, or imprisoned and tortured in the temple. Some young monks, outraged, try to reason with them, but they are no match for these martial arts monks. They are beaten bloody, with broken arms and legs, forced to swallow their grievances. Many flee to seek refuge with relatives and friends, or go far away.

At this time, a female knight-errant appears. Being the thirteenth child in her family, she is known as Thirteenth Sister. She possesses excellent martial arts skills, loves to fight injustice, and specifically opposes evil forces. Several times she has driven away the wicked monks who forcibly collect rent. Mentioning Thirteenth Sister terrifies the monks of the four temples, making them afraid to collect rent. What made the four wicked monks even more humiliated was that the treasures of their four temples were stolen overnight. They believed it was Thirteen Sister who was responsible and hated her with a vengeance. However, she was highly skilled in martial arts, appearing and disappearing without a trace, and the four monks were powerless against her.

One day, Monk Golden Buddha devised a vicious plan. He ordered his monks to capture more than a hundred women and imprison them in the temple, claiming that they were secretly in league with the female thief Thirteen Sister. He gave them ten days to hand over Thirteen Sister; otherwise, they would be sent to a desolate land to be forced into prostitution. Cries filled the temple grounds.

On the afternoon of the tenth day, Monk Golden Buddha ordered his monks to take the more than a hundred women to an open space at the foot of the mountain in front of the Golden Buddha Temple and surround them. Seeing that it was getting late, Monk Golden Buddha was about to order them to be taken away when suddenly, dust billowed in the distance, and a black horse galloped in, carrying a person whose cloak fluttered in the wind, like a lithe eagle descending from the sky.

As the black horse drew nearer, the person dismounted, only to discover it was a young woman. She slapped the horse's rump, and the large black horse turned and galloped away, disappearing into the distance.

Everyone looked at the woman; she was slender and spirited. Her outfit was a striking combination of black and red: a black top and black trousers, with a red belt around her waist that accentuated her slender figure and full breasts, sparking endless imagination. She wore red leather boots with black leather trim on the tops. Her jet-black hair was tied back with a red scarf, its two bright red tips curling upwards. Her black cloak was lined with red. A sword hung at her left hip, and a bow slung across her shoulder; the sword and bow were also black and red. A black veil covered her face, obscuring her features, but revealing arched eyebrows and long eyelashes beneath a pair of bright, captivating eyes.

"Who are you?" the Golden Buddha monk shouted.

"Thirteenth Sister."

Upon hearing this, all the monks took a step back in fright.

"Are you really Thirteenth Sister?" the Golden Buddha monk asked in surprise, unable to believe that Thirteenth Sister had actually returned to walk right into their trap.

"I never change my name or surname; Thirteenth Sister is me."

"How can you convince us that you are Thirteenth Sister?" the Golden Buddha monk still wasn't convinced. It turned out that Thirteenth Sister always wore a black veil over her face when she fought evil, so although they had dealt with her many times, they had never seen her true face.

"Alright, today I'll let you see my face."

With that, the girl raised her hand and removed the black veil from Thirteenth Sister's face. As the black veil was removed, everyone gasped in amazement. "Good!" cheers erupted from the monks. Some of the monks who had suffered at the hands of Thirteen Sister's pellet-throwing technique rubbed their bald heads.

But with a "thud," the girl threw her bow and slingshot pouch onto the ground in front of her.

Everyone was stunned.

The girl drew her sword again, and with a slight flourish, her entire body was enveloped in sword light. When she stopped, her face was neither flushed nor out of breath, but small cuts were visible on the leaves of the large willow tree beside her. Everyone recognized that this was indeed Thirteen Sister's unique swordsmanship.

She really was Thirteen Sister.

But then the girl threw her sword to the ground as well.

Everyone was stunned again. You must know that weapons are life to those who practice martial arts; surrendering a weapon is tantamount to handing over one's life to another.

"Old bald monk, you must keep your word. Release these respectable women, and I, Thirteen Sister, will be at your disposal."

I, the Golden Buddha Monk, am a man of my word. Men, release them!" With that, the Golden Buddha Monk waved his hand, and the monk soldiers withdrew their encirclement.

Over a hundred women were overjoyed. They thanked Thirteen Sister profusely, then reunited with their families on the other side. After a brief moment of weeping, they hurriedly left like fish that had escaped a net, fearing another mishap and being captured again.

The square, which had been filled with the cries of husbands and wives, and the wailing of fathers and sons, fell silent in an instant. On one side, only Thirteen Sister remained standing there alone, the setting sun casting her long shadow on the ground, making her appear particularly lonely; on the other side stood a hundred or so monk soldiers, their swords drawn, fully alert, a dark mass. Facing over a hundred people alone, she felt an indescribable loneliness.

She had stepped forward to save the people in distress, but would anyone come to her rescue when she was in trouble? Two monks carefully picked up Thirteen Sister's bow and sword from the ground. Seeing that Thirteen Sister made no move, they quickly returned and handed them to Monk Golden Buddha.

Seeing that Thirteen Sister was unarmed, Monk Golden Buddha felt even more at ease: "Men, tie her up."

Four burly monks approached from all sides, one of them holding a rope.

If she resisted now, she might still have a last chance to escape. If she was tied up, she would be at their mercy. What fate awaited her was unknown to Thirteen Sister. But having made up her mind to sacrifice herself to save others, how could she go back on her word? Just as she hesitated for a moment, the four monks grabbed her arms.

"Quick, tie her up! We can't hold her down any longer!" three monks urged the monk with the rope.

The monk with the rope immediately looped it around Thirteen Sister's shoulders and arms twice, quickly binding her wrists. Then, the four monks worked together to tie her up tightly.

"Thirteenth Sister, you want to run now? Too late." Seeing that Thirteenth Sister was still struggling, the four monks, fearing that the rope wasn't secure enough, continued to wrap it around her, tying knot after knot, until they were sure her arms and body were bound together and couldn't be separated.

Finally, Golden Buddha Monk said, "I think everyone should stop arguing. All four temples have suffered at her hands, and we all wanted to deal with her personally to vent our hatred. Now that she's in our hands, are we afraid she'll escape?"

"Then what should we do, elder brother?" Iron Buddha Monk asked impatiently.

"In my opinion, we four temples should take turns dealing with her, one day per temple. You can each use your unique methods and all means to let her taste our power and make her submit. Is that alright?"

The monks all agreed.

To ensure fairness, the four monks drew lots to determine the order of punishment. The result was: Iron Buddha Temple on the first day, Bronze Buddha Temple on the second, Silver Buddha Temple on the third, and Gold Buddha Temple on the last day.

The Gold Buddha monk said, "Tormenting her is fine, but we mustn't cripple her. Otherwise, what's the point of her coming to me on the fourth day?"

The other three monks agreed, "Brother, you're absolutely right. We should torture her slowly and enjoy it; that's what makes it fun."

The Gold Buddha monk continued, "Since it's the last day at my Gold Buddha Temple, I'll host a feast on the last day. It's a rare occasion for us all to gather. Let's have a good drink and celebrate capturing the female thief!"

The monks cheered in unison.

Hearing the four wicked monks treat her like a mere object to be manipulated, Thirteen Sister was both anxious and furious.

The Golden Buddha Monk grinned wickedly, saying, "This female thief is a beauty beyond compare, both in looks and figure. At this moment, the Golden Buddha monk instructed the Silver and Bronze monks to untie the ropes binding Thirteen Sister's legs and feet. She asked, “Could I cleanse myself before I go?” The Golden Buddha Monk hesitated for a moment, then gestured for the young monk to bring a large wooden basin of water. He untied Thirteen Sister from the pillar, put down the clothes, and left the prison.

Thirteen Sister sat in the basin, carefully washing her body with clean water. She then untangled and washed her hair, retying it with a red scarf. She put on her clothes and sat quietly to one side, waiting.

A moment later, the cell door opened, and the Golden Buddha Monk and the Iron Buddha Monk entered with several stern-looking monks. Two of the monks carried ghost-head sabers on their shoulders; they were probably the executioners. Seeing Thirteen Sister's composed demeanor, the Golden Buddha Monk secretly admired her. This young girl had remarkable composure; she was truly fearless.

"Please proceed, heroine," the Golden Buddha Monk sneered. Two monks stepped forward and bound Thirteen Sister's hands behind her back. Thirteen Sister offered no resistance, allowing them to bind her. Once bound, the monks escorted Thirteen Sister out of the temple.

Outside, a group of Iron Buddha Monk soldiers were already waiting, along with an oxcart with a tall wooden pillar erected in the center. The monks of Tiefo Temple forced Thirteen Sister onto the oxcart, untied the ropes binding her hands, and re-tied her around the pillar. They then bound her waist, legs, and feet to the pillar as well, and inserted a sign around her neck that read "Female Thirteen Sister,

the 　　Thirteenth

... 　　The Iron Buddha Monk shouted at Thirteen Sister, "Thirteen Sister, if you promise not to oppose me again, I will spare your life. Otherwise, this day next year will be your death anniversary." 　　"Kill me or torture me, it's up to you. If I even flinch, I'm not Thirteen Sister," Thirteen Sister retorted loudly, raising her sword-like eyebrows. 　　"Fine, you've got guts. Bring her down," the Iron Buddha Monk ordered. 　　Two monks untied Thirteen Sister from the pillar, retied her, dragged her to the center of the square, and kicked her hard in the back of the knee, causing her to kneel. She tried to stand up, but the two strong monks held her down firmly. 　　"Thirteen Sister, I'm giving you one last chance. I'll ask you one more time: are you willing to no longer be my enemy?" 　　"You oppress the people and prey on the villagers. Even if I don't oppose you, the heroes of the world will not let you go!" 　　The Iron Buddha Monk roared in anger, slapping Thirteen Sister across the face and tearing the plaque from her neck. He shouted, "Executioner, listen to my command..." 　　The executioner raised his executioner's blade. Thirteen Sister calmly closed her eyes, awaiting the falling blade. 　　Just then, a shout of "Spare her life!" rang out, and a young monk rode up on horseback. The young monk dismounted before Iron Buddha Monk and said, "Master Golden Buddha has ordered that the female thief's life be spared for now, to be handed over to Iron Buddha Temple for punishment." Iron Buddha Monk 　　had assumed that a young girl like Thirteen Sister would be afraid of death, but he hadn't expected her to be so composed. 　　"Well done, Thirteen Sister, it seems you really aren't afraid of death. When we get to Iron Buddha Temple, I'll make you suffer worse than death," Iron Buddha Monk said viciously. 　　Thirteen Sister was retied to the wooden post of the oxcart. The oxcart headed towards Iron Buddha Temple.

Inside the Iron Buddha Temple's dungeon, the walls were covered with ropes, whips, and other instruments of torture. Thirteen Sister was untied from the wooden post of the oxcart and brought in.

The young monks guarding the temple, hearing that Thirteen Sister had been brought in bound, all rushed out to watch.

The Iron Buddha monk wasn't in a hurry to tie Thirteen Sister up; he had a long day to slowly torture her. "Twist her hands behind her back," the Iron Buddha monk ordered. Two monks then forcefully twisted Thirteen Sister's arms and hands behind her back. Thirteen Sister cried out in pain. Seeing the pain on her face, the Iron Buddha monk felt a surge of pleasure. He reached for Thirteen Sister's breasts, which were forced forward by her hands being tied behind her back. Through the thin silk garment, Thirteen Sister's breasts were squeezed out of shape, and waves of tingling made her groan involuntarily.

"Kill me, you beast!" Thirteen Sister cried.

"You may escape death, but you won't escape punishment," the Iron Buddha monk said, his hands continuing to knead Thirteen Sister's breasts.

Thirteen Sister, dressed in red, bound and hanging in the air, her head bowed, her beautiful hair obscuring her face, was quite stunning.

"Crack!" The whip cracked. The soft whip struck Thirteen Sister's body, burning with pain. Thirteen Sister bit her lip, remaining silent. Another lash followed, and Thirteen Sister still remained silent, but eventually she couldn't hold back any longer and cried out, "Ah!" Hearing Thirteen Sister's cry, Monk Iron Buddha was very satisfied; this showed that even such a heroic woman as Thirteen Sister had moments of weakness. He whipped her even harder, until Thirteen Sister screamed repeatedly.

The young monks watching from the window, seeing Thirteen Sister being tortured and hearing her screams, couldn't help but get aroused.

At first, Thirteen Sister reacted when the whip struck her, but as the blows continued, her screams grew weaker and weaker until she finally stopped moving altogether.

"Splash!" A basin of cold water was splashed on Thirteen Sister's face, waking her up.

"Tell me quickly, where did you steal our temple's Iron Buddha?"

Thirteen Sister shook her head with difficulty in answer.

Enraged, the Iron Buddha monk swung the whip again…

The torture continued into the night. Seeing Thirteen Sister repeatedly beaten unconscious and then revived by the cold water, yet still refusing to yield, the Iron Buddha monk, his hands aching from the blows, finally ordered her to be taken down. He then applied their specially made wound medicine to her body and threw her into the cell.

Thirteen Sister, having been tortured all day, lay in the cell, her skin stinging with pain. Why must her young and beautiful body be tormented like this? She couldn't help but sob silently.

III. The Torture at Tongfo Temple

Thinking about how he would be the one to torture Thirteen Sister the next day, the Tongfo monk was so excited that he couldn't sleep all night. Images of Thirteen Sister bound and tortured, screaming in agony, kept flashing through his mind.

Early the next morning, the Tongfo monk, along with his martial monks and young monks, arrived at the Tiefo Temple. There, he found Thirteen Sister already bound and held in front of the temple. She had clearly been bathed that morning; her face was fair and rosy, and her black hair was piled high on her head like ink. It seemed the Tiefo monk had tortured her severely the day before. Her red silk clothes were torn in several places by the whip, vaguely revealing her smooth body. The morning glow reflected on her face, making it red and radiant, causing the Tongfo monk to secretly applaud.

"Senior brother, what good entertainment will you have for the heroine today?"

"Today, the female thief will ride in the Tongfo Temple's sedan chair," the Tongfo monk said.

"A sedan chair? What sedan chair does the Copper Buddha Temple have?"

the Copper Buddha monk said. "Junior brother, watch carefully." Then he ordered, "Men, help the heroine into the sedan chair."

Four burly martial monks stepped forward, untied the ropes that had bound Thirteen Sister from the Iron Buddha Temple, and pressed her face down to the ground. Not knowing what kind of torture they would inflict on her today, Thirteen Sister did not resist. She let the monks twist her arms to their limit and tie them tightly with rope. At the same time, two other monks pulled her feet back towards her shoulders and placed them around her neck. Thirteen Sister was very flexible and could easily do backflips and backbends, but this was the first time she had been so humiliated and bound in this position. The four monks tied Thirteen Sister's feet and shoulders together with rope, her whole body arched into an O shape. A towel was stuffed into her mouth and tied with a rope, forcing Thirteen Sister's face to be tilted high.

"Does Thirteen Sister not have any bones in her body?" The monks were astonished to see that Thirteen Sister's body could bend backward into a circle. They had also watched contortionist performances by nearby circus troupes, but those were all by eight or nine-year-old girls. Thirteen Sister, at nineteen, had a fully developed body yet still possessed such flexibility, leaving the monks in awe.

Thirteen Sister was actually in great pain, fine beads of sweat appearing on her face, but being stubborn by nature, she endured it without uttering a sound.

At this moment, four young monks stepped forward, carrying two sticks bound together in the middle to form a cross, and using ropes to suspend Thirteen Sister from hooks hanging at the intersection.

"Lift the sedan chair!" At the command, the four young monks hoisted the sticks onto their shoulders, and Thirteen Sister was lifted up, suspended in the middle of the cross.

The monk with the bronze Buddha statue stood smiling in front of Thirteen Sister, pinching her breasts with his hands and asking, "How does this sedan chair taste?" Several lush trees grew by the pond. Four young monks carried Thirteen Sister to a small boat on the edge of the pond and rowed it to the center. There, a rope was hanging from a branch of a large tree extending into the pond. The monks tied one end of the rope around Thirteen Sister's body and removed the towel from her mouth, making it easier for her to breathe. She greedily inhaled deeply.

With a shout of "Good!", the monks who had been waiting under the tree pulled hard on the other end of the rope, suspending Thirteen Sister in mid-air. The area around the pond was filled with young monks watching the spectacle. Because Thirteen Sister was still wearing her red silk clothes, the monks said to the Bronze Buddha monk, "Master, this is called 'Hanging the Red Lantern High'."

"Hahahaha..." A burst of lewd laughter followed.

"Thirteen Sister, where did you steal the Bronze Arhat?" the Bronze Buddha monk asked.

Thirteen Sister stubbornly shook her head.

"If you don't talk, you'll get to cool off!"

Thirteen Sister was hoisted high, looking down into the bottomless, green pool. The thought of being submerged made her breath quicken.

"Will you talk or not?"

Thirteen Sister still wouldn't speak.

With a splash, Thirteen Sister fell into the water, sending up a high spray. She bobbed up and down a couple of times, choking on water, before the rope tightened and she was immediately pulled back up. Water gushed down from her soaked red clothes and long hair. The red silk clothes, drenched, clung to her body, perfectly accentuating her shapely figure. Water droplets fell from her clothes and hair, sparkling in the sunlight like countless tiny pearls, a truly captivating sight. Thirteen Sister wasn't a good swimmer; she gasped for breath, spitting out mouthfuls of water, a look of despair on her face.

"How was it, Thirteen Sister? Did you enjoy it?" the Bronze Buddha monk asked.

"No…no…not enough," Thirteen Sister said stubbornly, despite being quite drowning.

"Put her down again."

Thirteen Sister was thrown heavily into the water once more. Because her hands and feet were bound behind her back, her belly and chest hit the surface first. This time, the little monk intentionally kept Thirteen Sister in the water for a longer time. Bound together, Thirteen Sister floated up and down in the pool. IV. Torture at Silver Buddha Temple

On the fourth day, in the courtyard of Silver Buddha Temple.

Not knowing what methods the Silver Buddha monk would use, the Bronze Buddha Temple had already prepared Thirteen Sister's hands tied behind her back and bound hand and foot. But the monk Yinfo smiled furtively and beckoned with his hand. Two young monks from Yinfo Temple led over a small donkey.

"Someone, help the heroine onto the donkey."

Four tall monks stepped forward, untied the ropes binding Thirteen Sister, lifted her up, and laid her face up on the donkey's back. Thirteen Sister's hands and feet dangled down on either side of the donkey's belly. They tied sticks to her hands and feet, preventing them from coming together, and then tied two more sticks under the donkey's belly. The monks then used ropes to tie Thirteen Sister's body to the donkey.

"Let me go, you bunch of bald donkeys!" Thirteen Sister cursed, her head shaking violently, her long, flowing hair flying wildly.

"This is called Zhang Guolao's donkey riding on his back. Today you'll have your fun."

With a crack of the whip, the donkey began to walk along the mountain path. The young monks' whips would sometimes strike the donkey's rump, causing it to kick wildly in pain, and sometimes strike Thirteen Sister's body, making her shudder. They even used the tip of the whip to poke Thirteen Sister's breasts, genitals, and other sensitive areas. Thirteen Sister tried to clench her fists, but her body was bound and stretched out, leaving her helpless to endure the pain.

"Ah...ah..." Thirteen Sister's screams echoed on the silent mountain path.

When they arrived at Silver Buddha Temple, Thirteen Sister, who had been untied from the donkey, lay on the ground, her body aching all over. Four monks, gathering their inner energy, began to circle around Thirteen Sister. Their muscles bulged, veins popping, as if they were cast in iron and bronze. Thirteen Sister gasped in shock.

"These four monks are not to be underestimated. Today's battle will be difficult."

"How about it? Thirteen Sister, scared?"

Thirteen Sister was not one to admit defeat. She steeled herself, pulled her hair from behind her head to the front, bit it, raised her hands to protect her chest, and assumed a fighting stance.

Seeing Thirteen Sister's indomitable spirit, the four monks secretly admired her.

"Watch out!" Monk Golden Buddha pounced on Thirteen Sister with a "Hungry Tiger Pouncing" move. Thirteen Sister quickly dodged and seized the opportunity to strike Monk Golden Buddha in the back, feeling the incredible hardness of his muscles. Monk Golden Buddha was startled. He hadn't expected that after days of torture, Thirteen Sister still possessed such agile footwork, not only dodging his attack but also returning the blow. Upon closer inspection, she realized the monks were covered in a shiny oil, causing their fists and feet to slip away upon contact, losing their force.
