[Crossing Boundaries Through the Wall] Part One: Crossing Through the World of Beauty (Chapters 1-10)

" Xiaoying

... I miss you so much."
"Xiaoying... I love you."
"Xiaoying... Xiaoying..."
"Zhang Shiying, I'll make you pay for this in blood!"

"Ahhhhh!" The boy screamed and sat up from under the covers, cold sweat streaming down his forehead.
It was that dream again...
For half a year, the boy had been having the same dream repeatedly.
And he would always be startled awake at the end of the dream, then spend the whole night sleepless.
The feeling in the dream was so real... so real that the boy felt as if he had returned to the past.
The boy even often prayed that one day when he woke up from the dream... everything would be as usual, as if nothing had happened.
"If only time could turn back..." The scenes he recalled in the dream pierced the boy's soul, and sadness resonated deep in his mind.
"Number 69, what are you doing! If you scream again, I'll give you a beating!" Outside the examination room, the guard in charge roared at the boy, pulling him back to reality.
The boy ignored him. But as always, once he was startled awake from a dream, he couldn't fall back asleep.
Utterly bored, he could only gaze silently out the window; the night outside the testing room was an endless expanse of darkness.
A sense of unease welled up within him, brewing and spreading.
He had an inexplicable premonition that his life was about to undergo a tumultuous upheaval.
Although he had suffered inhumane treatment in this institution, he had already experienced many things that a normal person would never encounter in their lifetime.
The process was so long that he couldn't help but wonder if he had already lived his entire life in sorrow, pain, and fear, and then died.
Those experiences, like a living hell, made him almost unsure if it was all real.
But now, although this premonition was distant and unreal, it began to unsettle the young man.
Sure enough, a few days later, he suddenly found himself transported to a dark and unfamiliar demonic dimension in his dream.
Chapter One: The Mysterious Drill

. Number 69. The boy's name was Zhang Shiying, a boy imprisoned in a juvenile detention center.
The rehabilitation center housed all sorts of men and women, mostly minors punished for crimes such as gang fights, theft, or assault.
Zhang Shiying, however, hadn't done any of these things. Why was he there? That's another story.
Naturally, with a group of habitual troublemakers locked up together, physical altercations were common.
One day, during his exercise time, Zhang Shiying passed by a fight involving a group of juvenile delinquents and was mistaken for one of their accomplices. Three of them surrounded him in the stairwell.
"Get lost," Zhang Shiying said calmly, looking at the juveniles who were taller than him.
But this seemed to enrage them, and the three attacked him from both sides, trying to teach him a lesson.
However, the three juveniles were easily subdued, and Zhang Shiying walked away.
Then, Zhang Shiying was accused of participating in the fight and locked in the examination room.
Feeling incredibly frustrated, Zhang Shiying decided to write down his feelings in the examination room in a diary, so he asked the guard for paper and pen.
The guard gave him an ordinary, cheap, refillable ballpoint pen that kept running out of ink.
After laboriously finishing his diary entry, Zhang Shiying tossed the pen aside, planning to lie to the guard the next day that he'd dropped it in the toilet, hoping for a brand new one.
But a strange thing happened. Just as Zhang Shiying casually tossed the pen aside, and it rolled straight towards a corner of the examination room,
a silver light suddenly enveloped it.
Zhang Shiying quickly stood up, picked up the pen, and found that its appearance was completely different from before.
The pen had turned entirely silver-white, with intricate patterns engraved on the barrel, resembling some kind of obscure script.
The button at the top, which dispensed the refill, had now become a grip, similar to a miniature manual ice shaver.
The originally smooth nib also had spiral patterns, somewhat resembling a screw.
Zhang Shiying tried turning the handle at the top, and the spiral pattern on the nib began to spin.
It looked less like a strangely shaped ballpoint pen and more like a small drill resembling one.
Wait, a drill?
"This can be used for a prison break!" Zhang Shiying exclaimed excitedly, then realized he'd been too loud and quickly peeked out to check on the guards.
Fortunately, the guards didn't seem to have heard him, and there was no sign of anyone opening the guardhouse door to investigate.
Without further ado, Zhang Shiying grabbed the drill and crawled under the bed in the testing room.
He planned to drill a large enough hole for him to pass through so he could escape!
He pressed the drill against the wall and began turning the handle. Even more miraculously, as the handle began to turn, the drill, initially only the thickness of a ballpoint pen, gradually thickened, eventually becoming as thick as Zhang Shiying's arm!
Zhang Shiying had initially thought it would take years to drill his way out of the escape tunnel with that small drill, but now it seemed Lady Luck was smiling upon him.
After three days of tireless effort, he finally drilled a hole the size of an index finger in the wall, and a ray of light shone through.
He tapped the wall next to the hole; the bricks were drilled so thin they looked like eggshells, seemingly ready to crumble with a single, powerful kick.
Freedom was within reach, just one step away, and Zhang Shiying suddenly felt a surge of excitement.
He kicked the wall with all his might, and the bricks crumbled with a "crack," revealing a hole just big enough for him to peek out. The light from the hole illuminated the area under the bed with crystal clarity.
"I did it!" Zhang Shiying wanted to shout excitedly, but he managed to suppress the urge.
If he attracted the guards' attention now, all his efforts would be in vain.
Concealing his joy, Zhang Shiying poked his head into the hole, ready to seek his freedom, but then vaguely felt as if he had forgotten something.
When he poked his head out of the hole, he understood.
Before him was a fluorescent light.
Yes, he was looking directly at a fluorescent light hanging from the ceiling.
When he was chiseling open the wall, Zhang Shiying felt the light looked familiar, somewhat like a fluorescent lamp.
But he was too excited to think about why there was a fluorescent light outside the hole…?
Seeing the light, he lowered his gaze.
Below, a person was staring blankly at him. Judging from his uniform, the person seemed to be a security guard on duty.
"Uh… sorry, I took the wrong turn," Zhang Shiying said. If his hands could pass through the hole, he really wanted to bow with his hands clasped together.
"Oh, oh. It's alright, I forgot to lock the door," the man replied politely. If one didn't notice the man's attire and ignore his duty, everyone would definitely think he was very courteous.
But at this moment, a Japanese adult film was playing on the computer screen in front of the man, and the moans of women filled the space.
The man's pants and underwear were pulled down to his calves, and his left hand was stroking himself...
"I'll go first then, I'm really sorry to disturb you." Zhang Shiying said and tried to pull his head back into the examination room.
"Oh no, be careful not to get hurt... Damn it, Sanxiao, why are you here!"
The guard roared at Zhang Shiying, who finally came to his senses and realized something was wrong.
"...Damn it, I actually drilled through the wall between the examination room and the guard room."

Chapter Two: The Nightmare Widow

(The sex scene in this chapter will be added later, see the feedback first)
Naturally, Zhang Shiying, who was caught on the spot, was immediately locked up again.
Fortunately, the drill was small, and Zhang Shiying used rice grains to stick the drill to his legs and then clamped it between his legs, finally avoiding the organization's body search.
After the prison break, the rehabilitation center intensified its surveillance of Zhang Shiying, moving him to a single-person testing room with 24-hour monitoring.
While Zhang Shiying was still agonizing over a new escape plan, he began having erotic dreams every night.
In his dreams, a very beautiful woman, alluring and fatally attractive, would come and entwine with him every night.
One day, after a night of passion, he awoke from his dream and turned over. Suddenly,
a completely naked woman appeared beside him.
"Ahhh!" Zhang Shiying screamed in terror, jumping up like a deflowered virgin, wrapping himself completely in the blanket.
The woman, awakened by Zhang Shiying's scream, also sat up, leaning against the edge of the bed, staring at him with a half-smile.
The guards, however, were unfazed by Zhang Shiying's screams, simply walking over casually and opening the communication window.
"What are you doing? Did you see a ghost?" The guard on duty today was one of the more mild-mannered ones among the guards. He knew that Zhang Shiying seemed to have some kind of phobia, so he didn't blame Zhang Shiying for often waking up screaming.
"Who...who is she?" Zhang Shiying pointed at the woman on the edge of the bed and asked in a trembling voice.
"Her? There's no one there. Are you hallucinating? Do you want me to contact your guardian? Or do you need medical parole?" The guard kindly offered Zhang Shiying suggestions, but Zhang Shiying shook his head.
His guardian always thought he was lying, and telling him this wouldn't help.
As for medical parole? He didn't think that his parents, who only gave birth to him but didn't care for him, would go out of their way to pay for his medical treatment.
"If there's nothing else, I have to go now. Take care." The guard sighed, then closed the communication window and left.
"Is she a vengeful ghost coming to take my life?" This was Zhang Shiying's only guess. He suddenly remembered that half a year ago, a vengeful ghost in the form of a woman had tried to drag him into the underworld.
Only Zhang Shiying and the woman remained in the examination room, facing each other, their eyes locked, sitting motionless on the bed.
After several minutes of silence, the woman suddenly smiled sweetly and brought her face close to Zhang Shiying's.
"W-what are you doing? Get away from me!" Zhang Shiying was startled and retreated, backing away into a corner.
"You really don't know who I am? Take a closer look at my face," the woman said, her voice alluring and seemingly capable of bewitching.
Hearing her words, Zhang Shiying, though wary, still focused intently on her appearance.
Only then did he clearly see the woman's face; she was a striking woman.
She had a small purple horn on her head, smooth yet sharp. Her
flowing, silky black hair cascaded behind a pair of fluffy bat ears.
Her deep purple eyes shimmered, and her crimson lips made her appear eerily beautiful.
She lay on her side, naked yet exuding an air of elegance and grace, her slender figure incredibly alluring.
She wasn't the vengeful ghost from six months ago, but her face was strangely familiar, like…
"You… look so much like the person in my dreams." Zhang Shiying recalled his recent erotic dreams, the woman in which looked exactly like him.
Remembering the passionate encounters with the woman in his dreams, Zhang Shiying felt his ears turn red.
The woman suddenly planted a kiss on his lips, laughing,
"Looks like you haven't forgotten me. This is your reward. My name is Xiaoshuang."
Zhang Shiying was stunned by her kiss, only reacting after a long while, feeling an unprecedented heat throughout his body.
"You… what are you? You can't be human, can you? Why are you in my dreams?" Suddenly remembering that the guard couldn't see Xiaoshuang, Zhang Shiying came to his senses, realizing that the woman before him might be a ghost.
"I'm a dream demon, feeding specifically on the erotic dreams of young men. I often enter other people's dreams to... absorb their yang energy to replenish my yin, surviving by absorbing the faint yang energy in their dreams. And you are my latest prey..." The widow licked her dry lips, swallowing as she looked at Zhang Shiying's morning erection.
"Then why can I see you, but others can't?" The widow's answer didn't put Zhang Shiying at ease. He really didn't believe that any vengeful ghost would be so open about coming to kill him.
"Because I'm a low-level demon, almost like an evil spirit, without a physical form. Only my prey can see me. If I don't want to eat you anymore, you won't be able to see me anymore."
"Then..." Zhang Shiying wanted to continue asking questions, but the widow put her index finger to his lips.
"A curious child who keeps asking ladylike questions isn't cute. Shouldn't it be my turn to ask you? What's your name?"
"I...I'm Zhang Shiying," Zhang Shiying replied. The widow's hand slipped inside his loose prison uniform, lightly caressing his chest, and she leaned her body against him.
Zhang Shiying was startled, but his body stiffened, unable to move.
"She's not planning to rip out my heart, is she?" Zhang Shiying trembled, his eyes fixed on the widow's hand, not daring to relax, yet not daring to struggle.
He feared that if he angered her, it might hasten his death.
"I really like you. Your energy is so abundant, and making love with you always fills me with magic." The widow rested her head on Zhang Shiying's shoulder, her index finger lightly touching his chin, her breath sweet as orchids.
"Is...is that so?" Zhang Shiying stammered, feeling his life threatened, he had no interest in listening to what she was saying.
"Yes, look at my heart, it's pounding like a deer's." She grabbed Zhang Shiying's right hand and led it to her chest. Her breasts were white and full, the skin so smooth and delicate it seemed like it could be broken with a touch.
This action stunned Zhang Shiying. His face flushed red, the sensual stimulation leaving his mind blank. He didn't even realize his right hand was still holding the drill.
"Hmm? This drill seems a bit peculiar." The drill in Zhang Shiying's hand was now enveloped by the widow's breasts, and she pulled her hand away when she felt the foreign object.
A slight disappointment flashed in Zhang Shiying's eyes, followed by a sigh of relief, all of which the widow noticed.
She chuckled, grabbed Zhang Shiying's left hand, and held it between her breasts before asking,
"Where did you get this drill? Can I take a look?"
Zhang Shiying's mind raced. He remained suspicious of the woman's identity, and her current behavior of asking him for the drill seemed odd.
So, Zhang Shiying didn't answer, simply gripping the drill tightly and staring blankly at her chest.
The young widow, a seasoned veteran, saw Zhang Shiying's reaction and knew he was ultimately hers. She wasn't in a hurry to get the drill.
"I'll come find you in my dreams tonight!" she said, standing up and vanishing into a pink mist.
Seeing her leave, Zhang Shiying finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"She shouldn't... be a vengeful ghost, right? Otherwise, why didn't she kill me?" He remembered that she had placed her hand on his chest but hadn't made any harmful move.
Perhaps she really intended to provoke him into something, what she called "absorbing yang to replenish yin," without intending to kill him.
"I can't let my guard down yet; I should observe a little longer," Zhang Shiying thought to himself. Night fell quickly.
In his dream, the widow indeed came to make love to him again, and this time it lasted for a month.
A month later, Zhang Shiying finally believed the widow's identity as a dream demon. With his guard down, he and the widow shared a passionate night, then lay in bed chatting.
"How did you get this drill?" the widow asked Zhang Shiying. For some reason, even in his dreams this month, the drill had appeared before him.
"It? I don't know. After I threw the pen, it suddenly emitted a silver light and then turned into a drill," Zhang Shiying replied. By now, he had let his guard down and wasn't worried about dying at her hands.
So, he didn't hide anything from her question, after all, he had also suspected the drill's origin.
Normally, no drill would appear in a dream, especially not every time.
The young widow stared thoughtfully at the drill, a fact Zhang Shiying noticed.
"Do you know anything about it?"
The young widow shook her head, then nodded, and said,
"I only know that this drill has an aura of spatial displacement and is imbued with divine power. It should be a divine artifact, but its purpose… let's try it!"
Although he didn't quite understand the young widow's words, Zhang Shiying agreed to her suggestion.
After all, he also wanted to know the origin of this strange drill.
Following the young widow's advice, they held the drill and rotated it against the wall seven times before removing it.
Suddenly, a black hole, about the size of a person, cracked open in the wall.
"It's open!" they both exclaimed simultaneously, the young widow's expression revealing a hint of joy.
"This seems to be a divine artifact capable of 'crossing boundaries'!" the young widow said. "Crossing boundaries," simply put, means creating a passage from point A to point B.
Space-time artifacts capable of controlling and influencing space are already extremely rare, let alone a divine artifact!
It seems Zhang Shiying was really wasting his time using it as just an ordinary drill last time; he could have easily created a passage to the outside world.
Hearing Xiaoshuang's explanation, Zhang Shiying, who had already given up on his escape plan, felt a renewed surge of confidence, gripping the drill with even more force.
"Now, shall we go in?" Zhang Shiying asked, and Xiaoshuang hesitated as well.
After a long pause, Xiaoshuang stepped inside first, disappearing into the black void.
Seeing Xiaoshuang go in, Zhang Shiying, though still somewhat doubtful, followed her.
A slight jolt followed, and Zhang Shiying felt himself perform a 360-degree somersault in mid-air before a light appeared before him.
"Damn it, is it going to be the guardhouse again?" Zhang Shiying thought of that day's experience and couldn't help but complain, then chuckled.
When he stepped out of the darkness and out of the cave, the scene before him utterly stunned him.
The place was engulfed in flames, filled with unknown wails, and the river and sky were blood red.
Numerous translucent or red-and-black spirits drifted around Zhang Shiying, seemingly searching for something to possess.
Everything before him resembled the legendary gates to the underworld.
Only then did Zhang Shiying realize he might have been tricked. Terrified, he tried to find the passage he used to cross over, but it had vanished.
Fear slowly crept over Zhang Shiying, making his mind go numb.
"Little Widow?" he tried calling her name, but there was no response.
He felt all his strength drain away, and his legs gave way, causing him to kneel on the ground.
He never imagined that in the end… he couldn't escape being dragged into the underworld, and that he had gone in willingly.
Zhang Shiying knelt there for an unknown amount of time until footsteps slowly approached from behind him.
He dared not turn around, only hearing the footsteps grow closer and closer with each "tap, tap."
The footsteps stopped behind him.
Then, something patted his shoulder and forcefully pulled him around.
Behind Zhang Shiying, the face of the Nightmare Widow came into view, revealing a chilling smile:
"Welcome to my hometown."
Chapter 3 Where Am I?

(A detailed description of the women's bathhouse in this chapter will be added later; please read the feedback first.)
"Ugh..." The black-haired boy slowly opened his eyes, a wave of dizziness washing over him, making his stomach churn again.
But perhaps he had already vomited everything he could, because he only dry-heaved a few times, vomiting nothing but saliva.
After resting for a while, when the world stopped spinning, he carefully looked at his surroundings, seeing a hazy gray sky.
"Damn it, where am I?" he grumbled as he sat up, patting himself down to dry the vomit.
He even grabbed a handful of sand and smeared it on his clothes, trying to get rid of the mess.
Before him lay several barren hills and plains covered in rolling yellow sand.
Just as he was about to stand up, he noticed something pulling his hand and hearing soft snoring.
Looking closer, he saw a scantily clad, horned young woman holding his hand!
"Wow, you're here too?" the boy exclaimed in surprise, seemingly familiar with the woman.
Seeing that she was still fast asleep, he reached out and tugged at her furry bat ears.
"Ouch, ouch! Let go!" the woman immediately woke up, rubbing her reddened ears and complaining that the boy didn't know how to be gentle.
Only then did he see the woman's features clearly: she had cascading black hair and a pair of furry animal ears.
Her eyes were a deep purple, and she exuded an eerie beauty.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" The boy, clearly unmoved by the woman's beauty, repeated the question.
"I've already told you her name is Xiaoshuang, how come you always forget?"
"That's not the point! What are you trying to achieve by crossing over with me?" The boy, clearly impatient after being asked three times, roared angrily.
"Don't be so cold. You were so enthusiastic towards me last night..." The woman's eyes sparkled as she lightly touched the boy's chin with her index finger, whispering in his ear.
This caused the boy to shudder and quickly back away.
"I... last night... last night you were the one who barged into my dream, okay? I, I didn't..." The boy's face flushed instantly, and he stammered.
"Hehe, you look so cute right now. What does it matter? My looks are among the best in the dream world. With a beauty like me by my side, what more could I ask for?" the widow teased, leaving the boy speechless...
The boy was Zhang Shiying, currently an escaped convict from a juvenile detention center.
Since successfully crossing over to the demon world in his dream last time, Zhang Shiying had discovered the secret of the drill.
At the same time, he became more wary of the widow's identity. Although she always portrayed herself as a nightmare demon, Zhang Shiying felt that things weren't so simple.
However, he didn't choose to confront her now because he felt that the widow seemed to understand the drill better than he did, and he couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't need her help someday.
Therefore, Zhang Shiying couldn't afford to turn against her yet; he could only remain vigilant and try to learn as much as possible about the drill.
But his primary task was to escape this damned testing room. He had had enough of being stripped naked every now and then, interrogated and treated as a mental patient, and possibly beaten by the guards—it was simply trampling on his dignity as a human being.
After a successful experience, Zhang Shiying was full of confidence in escaping from prison, so he tried to cross boundaries in reality as well.
Although he didn't know where the hole he drilled would lead, the widow, as usual, stood by and watched.
"But it's still better than staying in the testing room, right?" With this thought in mind, Zhang Shiying took advantage of the testing room thinking he was asleep after turning off the lights. He used a blanket as cover to drill a hole in the wall and then crossed the boundary without hesitation.
"Splash!" He fell into a pool of hot water. What was going on? Had he fallen into a hot spring?
Zhang Shiying struggled for a moment and stood up. Sure enough, he had fallen into a hot spring, and his prison clothes were soaked.
"Aaaaaah, pervert!" A heart-wrenching scream startled Zhang Shiying. Immediately afterward, an oak water ladle flew towards him, hitting him squarely on the bridge of his nose.
"Damn!" Zhang Shiying covered his nose, feeling dizzy and seeing stars.
But before he could recover, the oak water ladle flew towards him like shuriken, and to avoid being crushed to death, he could only dodge awkwardly, finally finding an exit and running away.
Looking back, he realized he had entered the women's bathhouse, and a sign next to him read in Japanese, "Perverts Keep Out.
" "..." Zhang Shiying glared at the widow beside him, annoyed. The widow giggled, seemingly enjoying toying with him.
Perhaps it was the devil's nature to enjoy playing with people!
Zhang Shiying ignored the widow's mockery and instead stole a kimono from some unlucky soul in the men's bathhouse to change into. He then began studying how to use the drill.
After hundreds of failures, he finally came to a few conclusions:
1. The starting point of the crossing (point A) must have a wall; the ending point (point B) has no restrictions.
2. Before crossing, you must silently recite point B eight times in your mind (you can also say it aloud). The more precise the location, the better.
3. Press the drill against the wall and rotate it seven times within 6.9 seconds.
After completing these steps, the spatial passage will open; it will disappear after use.
Having mastered the artifact's usage, Zhang Shiying felt like he had gained a magic door, able to go wherever he wanted.
However, there was something he always wanted to do.
The nightmare that tormented him never left, haunting him every night.
And whenever he recalled the scene in his dreams, Zhang Shiying felt his soul pierced by sorrow.
"If only time could turn back," he murmured to himself, staring at the drill, then suddenly a flash of inspiration struck him.
"What would happen if point B were set at a certain point in the past?"
Xiaoshuang certainly wouldn't tell him the answer; perhaps she enjoyed seeing Zhang Shiying's embarrassing failures, or perhaps for other reasons, Xiaoshuang didn't intend to help him as he explored the artifact.
Therefore, Zhang Shiying had to experiment himself, and he actually did.
A black hole, deeper than usual, opened before him, seemingly capable of swallowing everything.
Zhang Shiying took his first step without hesitation, but rather than stepping in, it was as if he had barely lifted his foot before being sucked into the black hole.
He was tossed around inside, like a die being violently shaken, his body flipping repeatedly in mid-air, unable to stop.
Zhang Shiying's vision began to blur, and he vomited, feeling extremely dizzy and uncomfortable.
But there was no gravity in the passage, so the vomit floated in mid-air, tumbling along with Zhang Shiying.
Unable to endure such torment, Zhang Shiying finally fainted, which was a relief for him.
When he woke up, he found himself here.
The spacetime rift seemed to have completed its task and disappeared.
But this wasn't the B point that Zhang Shiying had just set.
So where was he?
Chapter Four: The Kingdom of Women

"Where is this? Every time I end up in some weird place, last time I even went to the Demon Realm..."
Zhang Shiying pulled his hand away from Xiaoshuang's chest, stood up, and looked around.
In this vast wilderness, apart from a ten-zhang-tall city standing behind them, there really was nothing else.
Not far away, broken swords, shattered spears, fragments of carriages and horses, and human remains lay scattered on the ground, a stench of decay wafting on the wind.
"Never mind where we are, let's have some fun!" the widow said, snuggling closer to Zhang Shiying, seemingly trying to squeeze more energy out of him.
"Are you out of your mind?" Zhang Shiying rolled his eyes, annoyed. He had no intention of sleeping now.
If he fell asleep in this godforsaken place and a horse or cow suddenly walked by and trampled him to death, he'd be doomed.
He walked to the foot of the city wall, trying to discern his location by examining its construction.
After all, architectural styles varied greatly around the world, and the materials and methods of building cities differed. Some Chinese cities even had the craftsmen's names and the dates of their delivery inscribed on the bricks and tiles.
Zhang Shiying didn't know much about these things, but this was the only clue he could find for now.
But just as Zhang Shiying was trying to penetrate the city wall made of bluestone to observe from the inside, he found himself touching the wall.
"I forgot that crossing from reality would also transport my physical body." Last time, when he and Xiaoshuang traveled to the Demon Realm in their dream, they were both traveling through time and space as spirits, so there was no danger of death or injury, and they could pass through obstacles like ghosts.
But this time, because Zhang Shiying crossed over from reality, he now possessed a physical form.
However, since the widow didn't have a physical body, there seemed to be no difference.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed from within the city, and someone rushed out at incredible speed!
"Who are you!" A group of people instantly surrounded Zhang Shiying, and the person in front of him drew a sword from his waist, pointing it at him and demanding an explanation.
The sudden turn of events startled Zhang Shiying, but he quickly glanced at his surroundings.
There were seven people surrounding him, each wearing armor made of vines, some wielding spears or halberds.
Including the person pointing the sword at him, there were eight people in total.
Moreover, eight women!
Realizing that he couldn't escape the encirclement, Zhang Shiying raised his hands to indicate that he was unarmed.
He stared directly at the woman before him, just in case she suddenly beheaded him.
The woman before him had her long hair tied up in a crown-like bun, using a thin dagger as a hairpin.
Her delicate nose was high and straight, her slender eyebrows were deeply furrowed, and her beautiful, spirited eyes revealed a resolute and stubborn temperament.
At this moment, her icy gaze swept over Zhang Shiying, radiating intense hostility and a hint of hatred towards this young man she had just met.
Her skin was soft yet not pale, and unlike the others whose weapons were made of polished stone, the sword in her hand gleamed with a metallic sheen.
It seemed her identity was different from the other seven; she was likely their leader.
Her clothing was also peculiar; her armor was made of metal, and underneath, she was completely naked. Following her outstretched right hand, one could easily see her figure.
But Zhang Shiying dared not offend her like that, after all, his life was still in her hands.
"I...I'm lost. Could you tell me where this is?" he asked cautiously, afraid of angering her.
The woman hesitated for a moment, then quickly gave a signal to her subordinate to search him.
After carefully searching Zhang Shiying's entire body, the female subordinate found the drill on him and
reported to the woman,
"General, besides this, he has no other weapons. But..."
"But what?"
"Yes! There seems to be something like a rod between his legs, and I don't know what it is."
Upon hearing this, the widow chuckled.
Zhang Shiying glared at her unhappily, his face somewhat embarrassed.
The female general then stepped forward, placed her sword against the boy's neck, and reached down to his crotch.
She felt a soft, rod-like object and glanced at the boy.
Next, she tried to pull down his pants to investigate, but didn't know how to unbutton jeans.
"General, listen to me... these pants can only be taken off by unbuttoning the buttons around my stomach," Zhang Shiying said, offering a reminder to avoid the other woman potentially harming his genitals in a moment of impatience.
Judging from their weapons and clothing, he guessed they were some barbaric tribe transitioning from the Stone Age to the Metal Age.
And since they were all women, could he have encountered the legendary Amazons?
The female general, half-believing, half-doubting, unbuttoned her jeans and reached for the boy's genitals with her delicate hand.
"..." The female general's face suddenly flushed red, and she quickly withdrew her hand.
It seemed this female general knew what the rod-like object between Zhang Shiying's legs was, unlike her ignorant subordinates.
"He has no weapons, but we can't rule out him being an enemy." After buttoning the boy's jeans back up, the female general took the drill from her subordinate and gestured for them to seize him.
"Lock him in a cage, and the evil spirits around him too." She ordered, and Xiaoshuang and Zhang Shiying were stunned.
What the hell? These people could see Xiaoshuang?
But before they could think further, they were bound by magic and then captured by the female soldiers.
These people can even use magic! What kind of place is this?!
"I don't remember magic ever existing in human history. Or have I been abducted by aliens, and this isn't even Earth?"
"Go!" A female soldier uttered a deep, incomprehensible incantation. Zhang Shiying and Xiaoshuang were pulled by an unknown force, step by step, into the city, and then locked in an iron cage.
"What kind of place is this?" Zhang Shiying asked Xiaoshuang. When they entered the city, he noticed that there wasn't a single male soldier among the soldiers.
No wonder the female soldier didn't know what Zhang Shiying's crotch was!
"How would I know? We need to think of a way to escape first. It would be bad if something happened to that drill." Xiaoshuang, unlike her usual carefree attitude, said thoughtfully.
"What do you want?"
"You sign a demon contract with me," the widow said. Zhang Shiying immediately gave her the middle finger:
"You want me to sell my soul to you? Go to hell, I don't want to!"
Zhang Shiying had long seen that the widow harbored ill intentions towards him, or had ulterior motives regarding the drill, but because she had no physical form, she couldn't take it from him.
The condition she was proposing now clearly wanted to control his body so she could use the drill to achieve certain goals. This
opportunistic behavior infuriated Zhang Shiying, and he resolutely rejected her offer.
The widow sighed silently and then remained silent.
They were locked in the cage for three days, and Zhang Shiying still refused to budge, firmly rejecting the widow's proposal.
Even if signing a contract with the widow now would allow him to escape from this cage, there was always a risk of danger. How could he know if the widow would kill him to silence him after achieving her goal with the drill, or simply take over his body?
"Sigh, alright. How about we try another method?" Realizing Zhang Shiying's stubbornness, she had to compromise to break the binding spell on her.
She proposed possessing Zhang Shiying's left hand to break the spell.
In exchange, she would lend Zhang Shiying her power—the special ability "Shadow Transformation."
However, to truly master this ability, Zhang Shiying needed to be partially synchronized with the widow, meaning his left hand had to be transformed into a demon's hand.
Chapter Five: The Demon's Left Limb

After two days of deliberation, Zhang Shiying finally agreed to the suggestion.
If it was just his left hand, although the widow still had some ideas about the drill, she couldn't open the passage without his right hand's cooperation.
"Asimuga, Resinaya." The widow kissed Zhang Shiying's left hand, a fiery heat flowing into his arm, a burning pain assaulting Zhang Shiying.
"Refine the demonic energy I just infused into your body. Imagine it gathering in your left arm, then transform your arm into the demon's left limb." For the widow without a physical body, having a physical form was such an unattainable wish.
But now, although she only had a left hand, it was a real body that she could truly live in, which inevitably made her somewhat excited.
Zhang Shiying wasn't so happy. He felt as if his left hand was stuffed with gunpowder, ready to explode at any moment.
He was in excruciating pain, seeing stars and sweating profusely, but there was no going back now.
So, following Xiaoshuang's advice, he began to refine the demonic energy within his body, but he constantly felt another force within him clashing and resisting the demonization of his left hand.
After a week, Zhang Shiying achieved a balance between the demonic energy and the power within his body, gaining the ability of "Shadow Transformation."
At the same time, although it wasn't outwardly visible, his left hand was no longer a human arm.
"If you're ready, chant the incantation with me," Xiaoshuang said, then slipped into Zhang Shiying's left hand.
Zhang Shiying was about to chant the incantation when the cage made a loud "bang," as if it had been struck by a heavy force.
Interrupted, Zhang Shiying paused, noticing a gap appearing in the previously densely packed iron cage, which barely allowed light to penetrate. He forcefully pried it open with his left hand,

only to be met with a scene of utter carnage.
Ripples of magical energy flashed through the air, and billowing dust obscured most of the sky.
Not far from the cage, outside the city, roars mingled with the clanging of clashing weapons, jarringly loud amidst the deafening war drums.
Two armies clashed amidst the swirling dust, their blades flashing with blood-red light.
Scattered limbs and heads littered the ground, a scene of utter carnage.
Splattered blood testified to the carnage; men fell, only to be immediately trampled over.
The soldiers were cruel and savage, showing no regard for the wounded, their eyes bloodshot, each wanting to tear their enemies to shreds.
"Boom!" An explosion rang out, a flash of fire standing out starkly against the dust-filled battlefield, sending several soldiers flying.
It wasn't a cannonball, a grenade, or anything else from the boy's world—it was elemental magic, and the caster was a woman.
The boy suddenly remembered the skeletons and corpses outside the city when he first arrived.
It seemed this place had been attacked again and was embroiled in war, and the situation was dire!
The female soldiers on the city walls continuously unleashed various elemental spells, repelling the enemies outside and supporting their comrades fighting the enemy.
But against the relentless surge of enemies, this support was like a drop in the ocean. Before they could even gather enough magic to cast a second spell, many female soldiers below were already being killed by the enemy's sharp blades and spears; the female soldiers were clearly at a disadvantage.
Magic and war were completely foreign to the boy—this might truly not be the dimension he had grown up in.
Huge boulders were being hurled into the city from afar, the iron cage beside him also caught in the blast, shattering into pieces.
Luckily, Zhang Shiying had escaped in time; otherwise, he would likely be crushed to death inside the cage by now.
The first thing that came to Zhang Shiying's mind was the female general. That female general was in danger!
His drill was in her hands; if she died, wouldn't he be trapped here forever?
"Little Widow, let's go," Zhang Shiying said. The two chanted a spell, and his body transformed into black mist, disappearing into the shadows.
He had indeed noticed that the female soldier delivering meals seemed injured these past few days, but focused on refining his demonic energy, he hadn't paid attention to anything else and was completely unaware of what was happening outside the cage.
"Strange, there isn't a single civilian living in this city?" Little Widow noticed the city's oddity. Hearing her say this, Zhang Shiying realized that since he arrived in the city, he hadn't seen a single civilian.
But Zhang Shiying didn't dwell on the reason; his immediate priority was finding the female general.
Zhang Shiying observed their strategic formation and discovered that they were launching an attack using both ranged and melee units.
Outside the city, melee soldiers engaged the enemy in hand-to-hand combat with swords and spears, while ranged magic units provided support from the city walls. Therefore, the female general with the sword must be charging into battle outside the city!
"All of you, charge! After we capture this city, all the beauties inside will be ours!"
"Such high-quality goods… they must fetch a good price at the slave market!"
"I can even capture a few to raise as beautiful dogs, hahaha!" The noisy marching from all directions made the boy's eardrums ache, but it didn't stop him from hearing the enemy's lewd and shameless roars.
"Slaves, beautiful dogs? What do these guys think people are?!" Zhang Shiying found it unbelievable that these people would wage war just for this?
But it had to be said, the disparity between the two sides in this war was simply too great.
Compared to the enemy's thick leather armor and metal weapons, the female soldiers' vine armor and stone weapons were hardly a match. Moreover, women are inherently weaker than men, so they had no chance of winning this battle!
The boy searched for the female general's shadow in the shadows when a magnificent sword light swept across.
Following the sword's trajectory, he indeed saw the female general on horseback, fighting against multiple enemies single-handedly.
The female general was the only one on horseback on the battlefield, indicating that the technology of taming horses for warfare was not yet widespread.
Utilizing the height difference on horseback, the female general sometimes thrust with her sword, sometimes slashed with her spear, with no enemy within three feet able to close the distance.
But her heroic figure on the battlefield did not last long. In the distance, the enemy set up a giant slingshot on a hill and hurled a stone the size of a palm at the female general!
The stone struck the female general precisely on the back of the head, knocking her off her horse and halting her offensive.
Gripping her sword tightly, she still wanted to continue fighting. But her consciousness drifted further and further away, blood dripping from her forehead into her eyes, turning her vision crimson.
"Am I... going to die?" the female general murmured to herself. The enemies she had just cut down rose again, spears raised, ready to deliver the fatal blow to her head.

Suddenly, the female general vanished. She disappeared
before everyone's eyes as if evaporated into thin air, her spears embedded heavily in the earth and rocks.
Without their leader, the female soldiers finally succumbed, and the city fell.
Inside the shadow realm, Zhang Shiying silently glanced at the female general in his arms, then watched as the defeated female soldiers outside the shadow realm were captured and distributed among the soldiers who had distinguished themselves in battle.
The female general's captivating face was now covered in blood, appearing very pale, and the slender dagger that had served as her hairpin was nowhere to be seen.
Her hair had come undone, and a cascade of beautiful hair flowed into the young man's arms.
Crimson blood stained her chest, and several ribs appeared to be broken. Her slender eyebrows were furrowed in pain.
Though her beautiful eyes were somewhat unfocused, they still retained a heroic spirit, determinedly focusing as she tried to see who was before her.
"Thank...thank you," she
stammered. "Don't speak." The young man pressed his index finger to her lips, signaling her to be quiet so as not to be noticed by those outside the Shadow Realm.
Looking at the captured female soldier's gaunt face, and recalling the declarations the generals had just heard regarding the treatment of prisoners, the young man sighed heavily.
War was indeed cruel.
Although his heart was chilled, the young man could only secretly hide the food, water, and medical supplies that he and the female general needed within the Shadow Realm, and then watch helplessly as the female soldier was taken away, and as the enemy looted the city's wealth and retreated.
"Think you're too weak? Then sign a contract with me!" The widow, sensing Zhang Shiying's mood, once again proposed the demonic deal.
"Fuck your teacher." Zhang Shiying, as always, retorted with the middle finger. Seeing that the enemy had gone far away, he carried the female general out of the shadow realm.
He originally wanted to search for the drill's whereabouts, but the female general's injuries were too severe, so Zhang Shiying decided to heal her first.
"Cough cough..." The female general coughed up blood while unconscious. Her ribs had pierced her lungs, making breathing difficult.
But even though she was unconscious, she still gripped the sword tightly in her hand, refusing to let go no matter how Zhang Shiying tried to move her fingers.
He had no choice but to put her down and gently pat her back to try to reduce the frequency of her coughing.
He knew, of course, that wouldn't help much, but perhaps only in this way could he feel a little better.
With a heavy heart, he silently took out the ointment and food he had hidden beforehand, gently removing the female general's armor and applying medicine and bandaging her wounds.
"Little widow, help me start a fire," the young man said. The little widow knew he was in a bad mood, and unusually, she didn't waste any more words with him, instead casting a fire spell with the young man's left hand.
Zhang Shiying lit a fire beside the female general to prevent her from getting cold while naked, and then chewed and ground the food in his own mouth, feeding it to the female general mouth-to-mouth.
"Tch, is it really necessary to do this for just a drill? I've never seen you so gentle with me in my dreams," the little widow complained, and simply hid back in the young man's hand, not wanting to see the two of them showing affection.
After the young man had fed the female general, he turned back to prepare his own dinner. At this moment, the female general suddenly woke up.
"Where is Long Xiangjun... ouch." The first thing she did upon waking up was to try to sit up, but she immediately fell back down due to the sharp pain.
"You can't move around too much." The young man turned around and adjusted the female general's position so she wouldn't aggravate her wounds, then asked,
"What's your name?"
"Windbell Orchid."
"My name is Zhang... my name is Long Xue." Zhang Shiying subconsciously didn't say his real name.
On one hand, he didn't really like the name, and on the other hand, he suddenly remembered that he was a fugitive.
Perhaps using this name as his identity in this unfamiliar place would be more appropriate.
