Chapter 1 Recruitment
At the bustling airport entrance, a light drizzle fell from the gray sky. A refreshing northerly wind carried a hint
of coolness. The young man, emerging from the sweltering crowd, took a deep breath of the cool air, his gaze sweeping over the throng towards
the roadside . His eyes finally settled on a Land Rover not far away.
The person inside the car noticed the figure standing there. A
butler quickly approached the young man, opening an umbrella in one hand and taking his luggage in the other. With a fawning smile,
he whispered, "Young Master, my master came specifically to pick you up. He's been waiting in the car for quite some time..."
"Hmm..." The young man nodded casually, a smile spreading across his youthful face. His sharply defined, fair
profile revealed a touch of devilishly handsome charm.
The two walked to the car, and the driver, who was waiting at the door, opened the back door. A
bald man with a greasy face leaned out, his nut-shaped face giving him a slightly plump appearance. He waved and said in a hurried tone, "Xiao Le
, hurry up and get in, don't get wet in the rain. This weather is unpredictable, it's been drizzling on and on."
"Uncle, your company is busy, you could have just sent someone to pick you up, why did you have to come all the way here...
" the young man said politely to the person in the car, bent down and got in, then changed the subject and asked, "Uncle , what you
meant by Xiao Le earlier... was..."
"Hehe, you forgot, didn't you say you wanted to get a temporary identity when you went back to China? I've already got it all
sorted out ..." the uncle said, opening his briefcase and taking out a brand new ID card.
The boy took the ID card with a start and glanced at it. His sunny, youthful face was prominently displayed, and on the left
was the slightly comical name "Ma Bole." The boy couldn't help but smile.
"You chose the name yourself, and now you find it funny…" His uncle's chubby face squeezed out a doting
smile as he shook his head and laughed. "Seeing this name reminds me of when you were little. Your dad orchestrated
a horse beauty pageant for you, hoping you'd choose a spirited little pony, but you ended up choosing '
Princess Ma,' hahaha…"
The boy smiled nonchalantly, turning to look out the window. The misty rain pattered on the glass, shattering into
sparkling ripples, vaguely conjuring a scene of decadent extravagance.
In the center of the circus stage stood a naive and bewildered little boy, dazzling spotlights overhead,
surrounded by crowd of cheering spectators. Before him, a procession of world-famous horses galloped, their powerful neighs making
the boy look around somewhat bewilderedly.
His wandering gaze drifted aimlessly until a flowing, dark brown horse's tail caught his eye. Its silky smooth sheen
and soft, plush texture drew him closer. The moment he reached out and grasped the tail, a surge of intense
, wild pleasure erupted from his body.
"Bang..." The cold touch of glass against his fingertips snapped the boy out of his reverie. He realized
he had unintentionally reached out his hand, withdrew it, and shook his head with a wry smile.
"Master, young master, shall we go home now or..." The driver, having returned to the driver's seat and started the car, glanced
at the rearview mirror and asked.
The uncle glanced out the window, then turned to the boy and said, "Xiao Le, it's still raining outside. Why don't you skip the job fair
? Which company do you want to work for? I can arrange it for you with just a word, saving you the trouble of being looked down upon.
"
The boy put away his ID card and calmly replied, "Uncle, I came back from overseas because I don't want
to rely on the family business. I want
to gain experience in the workplace on my own. The job fair is just a formality, but I still want to experience it firsthand."
"Alright, I appreciate your idea, but..." The man's smile faded, and he said seriously
, "As someone who's been through this, as your uncle, I can't let you suffer in this world of fame and fortune. My company's chief consultant
is a longtime friend of mine. I'd like to arrange for him to assist you. You
can consult him if you encounter any difficulties or have any ideas at work."
"Oh..." The boy was slightly surprised, but he knew his uncle meant well and didn't
want to refuse.
"Then let's go to the job fair..." The man gestured to the driver, and the car slowly drove away from the airport.
Perhaps
due to the drizzling rain, the entrance to the job fair was rather deserted. The young man took an
exquisite , passed through the gate, and entered the venue alone.
Unlike the entrance, the venue was bustling with people. The young man strolled leisurely past the booths,
quickly noticing a pattern.
The venue was divided into five sections, each with several reputable companies. The queues in each section were usually for
those booths, while the others seemed like mere decorations, simply set up without customers. And yet, there was always
a long queue next to them – truly, the contrast was stark.
The young man walked around to the last section. There were relatively fewer people here, and the booths were occupied by relatively
young people; it seemed these were all newly established companies, hence the lack of appeal.
The young man frowned slightly. He had initially thought the job fair interviews would be a simple formality, but now he realized
he'd have to wait in line for an hour or two to interview with a few decent companies. Thinking this, he
shrugged . Although he wanted to gain some experience, the pampered young master from a large family
naturally felt hesitant.
"I was just here to experience it..." With this thought in mind, the young man began
to notice the deserted booths. His gaze swept over the banners displaying job postings, and the various
terms related to emerging technologies piqued his interest. After circling around to the back of the
booths . Just as he was about to step forward, his gaze suddenly fixed on a particular spot.
A black nylon braid, flowing, smooth long hair cascading down, contrasting beautifully with the smooth, white nape of the neck,
gently brushed against an unfamiliar back. The hair followed a perfect arc, the ends curving into waves,
swaying .
A scene identical to one in his memory—a captivating strand of dark brown ponytail—appeared in his field of vision again
. When the young man came to his senses, he had already unconsciously walked to the side of the booth.
The owner of the ponytail was a white-collar professional woman with a fair and delicate oval face. Beneath her light, arched eyebrows were a pair of bright
, clear eyes. A pair of burgundy-framed glasses perched on her pert, delicate nose. Her plump, pink lips were shaped like crescent moons.
Her delicate earlobes were adorned with sparkling crystal earrings, and she wore a blush pink fitted cashmere sweater and a dark brown
pencil skirt, her curvaceous figure accentuating her alluring curves.
Next to the white-collar woman sat a short male colleague, seemingly indifferent to the deserted booth
, idly toying with the few resumes in his hand.
"Juncheng, what did you think of the people you interviewed earlier…?" the white-collar woman
asked, noticing her colleague's relaxed demeanor.
"These few..." The male colleague, caught off
guard by the sudden question, almost forgot everything about the interview he had just gone through. He stammered for a while before finally replying, "...Uh...so-so...they were all alright...
"
"Oh..." The white-collar woman hesitated slightly upon hearing this before continuing, "Juncheng, I
think those people all had their own issues. Although we're a new company, we still need to consider real talent and ability when recruiting
..."
As she spoke, she glanced at the slightly reserved male colleague, carefully considering her tone, and
said earnestly, "...In fact, precisely because we're a new company, we place even greater emphasis on the innovative abilities and self-growth of our talent
..."
"Hmm...okay..." The male colleague gave a perfunctory reply, leaving the white-collar woman slightly disappointed, and the conversation
faltered.
The young man listened silently to this, his interest in the white-collar woman growing even stronger. He walked to
the booth and looked up at the company's recruitment information on the banner. The young man smiled slightly. He had studied
foreign trade in college , and although he wasn't directly involved in the family business, he had been immersed in it since childhood. No one knew the industry better than him. "Hello, would you like to come in and chat...?" A clear, soft, and charming Wu dialect voice, irresistibly sweet and alluring, yet without a trace of affectation, sounded like heavenly music to the young man's ears. The young man looked up and, for the first time, looked directly at the white-collar woman before him. She appeared to be in her early thirties , her confident and sunny smile captivating. A trade fair badge adorned her long, slender neck. The young man's gaze fell on the name on the badge: "Luo Qiuting." A beautiful woman, graceful and elegant, she perfectly matched the young man's name, like a goddess reborn , radiating beauty. The young man composed himself and sat down directly opposite the white-collar woman. "Hello, may I ask your name, sir..." the white-collar woman asked politely. "Ma Bole..." the young man said, pulling a resume from his accordion bag and handing it over. Luo Qiuting took the resume, confirmed the name, and smiled slightly: "Mr. Ma's name is quite interesting ..." "Just call me 'Bole'... Speaking of names, they're not as poetic as Ms. Luo's. " Luo Qiuting smiled noncommittally, but unexpectedly, her male colleague suddenly interjected: "This is our department 's supervisor, Luo..." "Uh, yes..." Ma Bole didn't expect to have such a simpleton sitting next to him, and was slightly taken aback and speechless . Luo Qiuting was slightly speechless at her accompanying colleague, and said warmly, "Bole, as you can see, our company is a foreign trade enterprise. This colleague and I belong to the marketing department. Although I am the department head, we are a relatively young team and we don't adhere to the hierarchical system of job titles. You can just call me 'Qiuting'..." "Okay... Sister Qiuting..." Ma Bole smiled casually. Luo Qiuting looked at the man in front of her. His smile was slightly immature, but his words and manners were polite and appropriate, which made her feel a bit favorable towards him. After quickly glancing at the information on the resume in her hand, she found that he was a newcomer to the workplace who had returned from overseas, so she asked, "Bole, our department is short of 'salesperson' staff. I wonder if you would be interested..." "Yes..." Ma Bole didn't know why he agreed immediately, but the small " salesperson " position was naturally no problem for him. After organizing his words slightly, he introduced his resume based on the information on the resume . The interview process was self-evident. With his outstanding knowledge and overseas experience, even Luo Qiuting couldn't help but praise him, and she was already making a decision in her mind. "Alright, Bole, I've taken your resume. We'll notify you separately after the HR department confirms it." Luo Qiuting gave a sweet smile, ending the initial interview. Ma Bole nodded slightly, his eyes lingering on the white-collar lady's exhibition badge one last time, before getting up and leaving the booth. "Juncheng, what do you think of this guy…?" Luo Qiuting asked suddenly, watching the young man walk away. The male colleague turned his head, pretending to look at the resume on the table, but his peripheral vision fell on the white-collar lady's cashmere sweater. The perfect curves, just visible from the side, and the rounded, full texture of the wool, were a visually pleasing . From the tone of the white-collar woman's voice during the interview, one could glean some meaning. Sensing the female manager's fondness for the young man , a strange sense of unease and resistance arose within her, even though the young man's interview was flawless . The male colleague, his gaze averted, pursed his lips, and said dismissively, "...A fresh graduate , all talk and no action." Luo Qiuting sighed inwardly. As the department manager, she had been intentionally guiding , but this male colleague seemed oblivious to her hints, let alone changing his unambitious nature. She remained silent. At the entrance to the job fair, the butler, leaning on an umbrella, had been waiting for about half an hour, looking somewhat weary from the flow of people . Upon seeing the young master stroll briskly out, she quickly opened her umbrella and greeted him with a smile. After picking the boy up and putting him in the car, the uncle looked at the boy's relaxed and handsome face and smiled, saying, "Xiao Le, it seems you 've found a company you like..." "Hehe..." the boy smiled slightly, not denying it. "Master, Young Master, we're going home now..." The driver asked for permission and started the car, driving away from the job fair . ---------- The Land Rover drove back to the gate of a villa, where a butler was already waiting. The car stopped, and the butler...

The boy whispered a few words to his uncle by the window. His uncle nodded, indicating, "Then take him there..."
He then turned to the boy and said, "The man is here. Go see him."
The boy nodded, got out of the car, and, led by the butler, entered the villa. Along the cobblestone path,
they arrived the main entrance of a European-style building. White marble pillars, warm-lit French windows, jade-carved railings, and
a gray-blue spire-shaped roof—a simple yet elegant combination, refined and dignified, yet unconventional.
Guided by the butler, the boy arrived at a reception room. A
man of about sixty years old was already sitting on the sofa. Upon seeing the boy enter, he stood up to greet him.
"Young Master, this is Consultant Tan, whom the Master invited..." The butler introduced him to the young man, then turned to
the man and said with a smile, "Mr. Tan, this is my Master's nephew. Please take good care of him..."
"Haha, of course..." The man addressed as "Mr. Tan" laughed magnanimously and extended his right hand to the young man
.
Ma Bole carefully examined the man before him. He was dressed in a sharp black suit, with slicked-back hair and graying temples. He had thick eyebrows and
bright, piercing eyes, and an unintentional smile at the corner of his mouth, giving him the air of a shrewd and cunning fox.
"Mr. Tan, it's a pleasure to meet you. Please enlighten me." Ma Bole said, extending his hand in return. The two exchanged pleasantries and sat back down
on the sofa.
"Young Master, I heard you just returned from the job fair. Did you find anything useful?" Mr. Tan asked,
getting straight to the point as soon as he sat down.
"I wouldn't say I gained anything..." Ma Boluo said somewhat embarrassedly, "There were too many people there, so I only
interviewed at one small company."
"Haha, it's alright, I've already found several positions at large companies for you, young master. Take a look and see which one suits your
taste..." Master Tan said with a smile, while taking out a stack of documents that he had prepared in advance.
Ma Bole took the documents and glanced through them briefly. He hesitated slightly before saying, "Uh… Mr. Tan, the
company I interviewed with, I think it was some kind of foreign trade company called 'Mei' something, have you heard of it…?"
Mr. Tan, naturally, hadn't paid attention to such small companies and immediately asked curiously, "Young Master, you only interviewed with this one
company, was there anything that interested you…?"
"Well… I wouldn't say interested. I was already standing by the booth when I came to my senses."
"Oh…" Mr. Tan seemed slightly surprised and asked again, "Young Master, there are so many foreign trade companies. Do you
remember more specific information about this company…?"
"Luo Qiuting…" Ma Bole blurted out unconsciously. Seeing Mr. Tan's questioning expression, he quickly
explained , "…the name of the female manager I interviewed for."
Hearing this, a shrewd glint appeared in Mr. Tan's eyes, and a sly smile played on his lips as he said, "I
understand, Young Master."
With that, Mr. Tan stood up and said to the young man, "Young Master, I'll help you with the rest of the plan. That's all for
today ."
"Uh... alright." Ma Bole nodded slightly, a little dazed, and stood up, but was stopped by Master Tan
.
"Young Master, you don't need to see me off, just wait for good news." After saying that, Master Tan
left .
In the quiet reception room, only a young man remained, casually tossing the documents in his hand onto the table, his charming
eyes staring blankly ahead, as if he were gazing at prey in his mind. He stretched out his right hand out of thin air, and
the moment he clenched his fist, a wild desire surged into his brain.
