A Brief Discussion on Contraception: Condoms and Contraception Methods

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-04-19
Condom contraception
is a relatively safe, convenient, and quick method, especially for young people today.
Young people's sexual behavior is generally more impulsive, and condoms have fewer side effects. When
used correctly, condoms not only prevent pregnancy but also protect against sexually transmitted infections.
Furthermore, condoms can protect women from cervical cancer caused by sexual activity. Therefore, condoms
are the most suitable contraceptive method for young people.
★ Femidon Condoms:
Femidon condoms are a relatively new product. They look like a larger condom, with elastic ring
openings at both ends. They are disposable, fragrance-free, and lubricated condoms that adhere to the vaginal wall to provide protection
.
They quickly conduct heat from the body, are soft and comfortable to use, and provide the necessary sensitivity and stimulation during sex
.
The inner ring of the condom helps women easily and quickly insert the femidon, much like inserting
a tampon.
After insertion, the outer ring will remain outside the vaginal opening. During intercourse, the outer ring should remain outside
the vaginal opening and be flattened so that it is not felt.
Once inserted, the femidom will feel very comfortable for the woman. Some people, after getting used to using femidoms
regularly , will incorporate insertion into intimate foreplay,
taking turns performing the foreplay. In this case, the woman must straddle the man, thus
making the femidom a natural part of the woman's sexual experience.
Because the use of the femidom does not require male erection, the woman
can insert this protective shield at any time during intercourse, but it must be done before genital contact.
Instructions for use:
Open the package and remove the condom. It is already lubricated. Ensure the elastic inner ring is at
the end of the condom. Insert the ring-shaped opening at one end into the vagina like a cervical cap. When inserting, compress the inner ring with your thumb and middle finger, and place
your index finger on the outer layer of the inner ring with the opening facing down. Continue to press the inner ring with your three fingers,
pushing it as far into the vagina as possible. Then, use your index finger to enter the inside of the condom through the outer ring opening
and push the inner ring to the bottom of the vagina. Push forward with the pad of your index finger; you should feel the inner ring positioned behind the pubic bone.
After correct insertion, the other end should protrude two to three centimeters outside the vagina, covering the entire vaginal area.
This is to protect the labia and also to
allow the outer ring to be pushed further in when the male penis enters the inner layer of the condom. Because the femidom is attached to the vaginal wall, remove the condom only after both partners are certain
there is no sperm leakage after orgasm.
First, pinch the outer ring tightly, then rotate it a few times to prevent semen leakage. Then gently remove it and place
the used condom back into its original sleeve before discarding it in the trash can. Do not flush it down the toilet. It is for single use only and
cannot be reused.
★ Male Condom
Usage Instructions:
When using a condom, first use your thumb and forefinger to squeeze out any air from the tip. This prevents air bubbles
from causing the condom to break. When the penis is erect, place the condom on the head of the penis, grasp
the head firmly, and smoothly pull it over the entire penis, all the way to the base. After ejaculation, grasp the base and remove the condom.
Note that when opening the condom, do not use sharp objects such as fingernails or teeth, as this
can easily damage the condom. Wearing a broken condom is a waste of time and energy, and it cannot be reused.
Condoms may fail to function properly due to slippage, breakage, or improper use, so
use them gently to avoid losing their protective function.
If using lubricant, only water-based lubricants, such as K-Y, should be used.
Oil-based lubricants, such as petroleum jelly or massage oil, should not be used, as they will damage the condom.
★The safest condom:
When used correctly, condoms can prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Besides paying attention to size,
the following points should also be noted:
※Female condoms are made of polyurethane, which has a lubricating function. Female condoms
have a higher failure rate for contraception and prevention of sexually transmitted infections than male condoms. When using female condoms, always use a spermicide lubricant
.
※Never apply oil-based lubricants to the condom, such as cooking oil, hand lotion, or petroleum jelly,
as these will damage the condom, causing it to crack and become ineffective. Doctors recommend using water-based
lubricants for best lubrication.
※The condom should be put on before penetration, even when the penis is erect.
※Use it every time; never take chances.
* Men should check that the condom is properly in place before use, making sure it's fully in place.
* Each condom is for single use only.
* Remember to check afterwards. If there was any accident or improper use, take preventative measures immediately.
* Unused condoms should be stored in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight, as humidity
and temperature can affect their quality. Especially avoid storing them in wallets or hot cars for extended periods, as this can cause the latex to deteriorate.
