Nightly outings

I've recently developed a habit of going out at night , a habit that lasted until last night.

About a month ago, one night around 11 pm, I felt a little hungry. I'd run out of snacks at home, so I went to the convenience store downstairs to buy some.

While in the elevator, I ran into my neighbor's little girl. She was with a boy about her age. That boy was probably her boyfriend, because they were holding hands until they reached her door, after which he left.

I don't know this neighbor girl's name, but two years ago I saw her wearing the uniform of the middle school downstairs from mine, carrying some kind of "Form 5 Math" textbook, so she's probably not even twenty yet.

The residents here are all minding their own business, so I didn't know my neighbors at all, and I'd never even noticed that such a beautiful girl lived next door. The first time I saw her was on the street; I saw a pretty girl and unconsciously followed her all the way to her house, only to find out she lived right next door.
